IT'S WAR: War, Hollywood Brat Dismembers Wife And In-laws, New Money Fight
A new investigation into the case of Samuel Haskell IV, the son of former Hollywood agent Samuel Haskell Sr. He was accused of murdering his wife and in-laws in November 2023. Now, new entities claim they are owed hundreds of thousands of dollars from the estate. The "money claims" in news reports relate to the financial situation of the household, specifically that Haskell's wife was the primary financial provider and paid the majority of the family's expenses, including a $7,000 monthly mortgage, while he was allegedly unemployed or underemployed. Key details regarding the financial aspects and the case suggest that the victim, Mei Li Haskell, worked multiple jobs and was the main earner for the family, supporting her husband, their three children, and her parents, who lived with them. The case never went to trial. Samuel Haskell Jr. died by suicide in his jail cell in July 2025, days before his preliminary hearing was set to begin. The origins of the case stem from a group of day laborers hired by Sam Haskell IV to remove three bags of what they are told are rocks from his garage. The men described the bags as "soft and soggy," with each weighing about 50 pounds. A block away from Haskell's house, the workers opened up the bags and said they saw body parts. The men returned the bag to Haskell and returned his money. Haskell played it off, telling the workers that what they actually saw were Halloween props. The men drove immediately to the police. The men try to report what they have seen to the police, but they are turned away. The men went to the Highway Patrol station first but were told to go to the Los Angeles Police Department. The LAPD Topanga Station tells the men to go back outside and call 911 from the courtyard. In the meantime, the police receive another call about human remains. A homeless man, digging through the dumpster looking for recyclables, finds human remains. Inside the dumpster, the LAPD found a torso in a bag. The investigation provided detectives with enough information to lead them to Samuel Haskell IV's residence. MONSTER-GRANNY Orders Hit on Son-in-Law GETS CUSHY NEW DIGS
Convicted murder mastermind Donna Adelson moved to a new correctional institution closer to her South Florida home. Adelson was initially held at the Florida Women’s Reception Center in Marion County. Florida’s Department of Corrections says Adelson has been moved to the Homestead Correctional Institute in Miami-Dade County. Donna Adelson received a life sentence for her role in the murder of former son-in-law Dan Markel. After nearly three weeks of testimony, a jury takes just three hours to find the 75-year-old guilty of all three charges levied against her. Adelson is convicted of conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation to commit killing, and first-degree murder in the hit on her former son-in-law Dan Markel. Adelson has filed a motion for a new trial, claiming multiple instances of jury misconduct, bias from the judge, and a lack of evidence to support the verdict. The 18-page motion comes just two weeks after Adelson’s conviction and includes a request to interview two of the jurors who decided her fate. Adelson accuses the jury foreperson, juror number seven, of failing to follow the judge’s instructions on speaking out about the case. FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIAL: BEAUTY-QUEEN-CHEERLEADER'S BABY DEAD IN CLOSET, CASE HEADS TO GRAND JURY
New details are emerging in the case of a 21-year-old college student and cheerleader from the University of Kentucky accused of hiding her newborn inside her college apartment closet. Laken Snelling's case is on its way to a grand jury. The panel is expected to hear evidence in late January. The grand jury will likely be asked to indict Snelling on the three charges she initially pleaded not guilty to, and there’s possibly a count of murder or manslaughter depending on the newborn's autopsy results. Laken Snelling is arrested after her infant is found dead in a trash bag inside the closet. An autopsy report only deepens the mystery surrounding the infant's death because the results are found to be inconclusive. Snelling posted baby bump pics before her infant was found dead. Authorities allege Snelling gave birth in secret, wrapped her baby in a towel, placed him in a trash bag, and left him in her closet. According to an arrest report, Lexington police were called to a home on Park Avenue for an unresponsive infant on Wednesday. Police said they found a baby's body in a closet, wrapped in a towel inside a black trash bag. The UK cheerleader is now charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and concealing the birth of an infant. Court records show Snelling took selfies during the birth. HORRIFIC BODY-CAM INSIDE KOHBERGER MURDER SCENE, AFTER STATE STRIKES DEAL WITH THE DEVIL
Shocking evidence and video released from the King Road home where four University of Idaho students were slaughtered in the off campus house by Bryan Kohberger. The "deal with the devil" phrase used in the title refers to the controversial "plea deal" accepted by Bryan Kohberger in July 2025. The convicted murderer and "wanna be rapper" cowardly saves his on life from death "penalty" in exchange for a guilty plea and life in prison without parole. This outcome was met with public outrage and mixed reactions, feeling the state made an unfavorable deal by removing the possibility of capital punishment. The body camera footage publicly released in August 2025, shows the initial entry of officers into the crime scene and their discovery of the victims. It captures the raw, immediate aftermath and the shock of the first responders and the distress of surviving roommates on the scene, though significant portions are redacted and victims' faces obscured. The footage provides insight into the layout of the house and the conditions at the time of discovery. Follow Crime Stories with Nancy Grace for all the latest breaking crime news. TEEN GIRL IN COMA TORTURED BY NURSE: CAUGHT ON CAMERA
A mother in St. Cloud, Florida, hires around-the-clock nursing care in her home to help care for her teenage daughter. The 18-year-old is developmentally disabled, non-verbal, quadriplegic with cerebral palsy, and has minimal vision. To cover the 24 / 7 schedule, nurses work 12-hour shifts, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. in their St. Cloud home. Checking on her disabled daughter Saturday morning, the mother notices red scratches around her daughter's mouth and eyelid; the scratches were not present the previous evening, and as a quadriplegic, it is impossible for her daughter to scratch herself in such a way, so she reviews surveillance camera footage from the previous night and calls the police immediately. TRIAL DELAY IN THE MURDER OF NIKKI CHENG
A new trial date has been set for Tyler McCain, the man charged with killing his wife, Nikki Cheng Saelee-McCain. McCain is facing 12 charges and multiple special allegations, including one that he killed his wife to prevent her from testifying against him in court over domestic violence charges. The jury trial was supposed to start on November 18, but McCain’s lawyer, Michael Borges, asked for more time, given the mounds of documentation provided by the prosecution. Shasta Superior Court Judge Adam B. Ryan set the trial date for March 17, 2026. A trial readiness hearing will be held on March 11 to ensure both parties are prepared for the trial. As of today, Nikki is still missing and presumed dead. Redding Police detective Jeremiah Kessinger said Nikki's sister, Chloe Saelee, texted with Nikki regularly, and there was always a response until May 19. Family members talked with Nikki on May 18, but on May 19, she never answered a text from Chloe. Nikki told Chloe about domestic violence in the relationship, and McCain went so far as to point a gun directly at Nikki and threaten to kill her and her family members. In court, Detective Maul played an audio recording of Nikki McCain describing being assaulted by her husband, Tyler McCain. The recording was done in a hospital emergency room, where Nikki showed up to give the police a statement. Nikki says, "He pushed me on the ground. And he started hitting me. He was just enraged; he was so angry." Nikki estimates the attack lasted three hours. Tyler McCain has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges. THE GIRL IN THE POLAROID: BOMBSHELL IN SEARCH FOR "POLAROID GIRL" WHO VANISHES ON BIKE
A sophomore at the University of New Mexico, Tara Calico is in school full-time while working at a bank. At 9:30 a.m. on September 20, Tara takes her mom's pink Huffy bike for her daily bike ride, telling her mom she is playing tennis with her boyfriend later, so if she isn't home by noon, come looking for her. An offhand comment her mother takes to heart. When Tara isn't back at 12:05 p.m., her mother, Patty, gets in her car to retrace Tara's bike route, expecting to see Tara walking on the side of the road with her bike. Driving out to the train tracks where Tara normally turns around to head back home, Patty doesn't see Tara and assumes she missed her and heads back home. Patty calls Tara's boyfriend, who says he hasn't seen Tara, then calls the police in a panic. Police begin an immediate search for the 19-year-old, as her disappearance is out of the ordinary. Her sister, Michele, joins in the search with Tara's friends and boyfriend. A storm is coming, the temperature is dropping, friends walking two feet apart, hand in hand across both sides of the roadway, looking for any sign of Tara. About two and a half miles down the search route, some tire tracks that look spun out are discovered on the side of the road. It seems like there was a scuffle, and the bike marks are visible amongst the tire marks from the vehicle. Tara is known to use a distinctive, bright yellow Walkman on her bike ride, and when a broken piece of a bright yellow Walkman is found in the area of the tire marks, her sister, Michele, believes it is Tara leaving a trail to follow. A cassette tape of the band "Boston" is discovered about three miles from her home on the side of Highway 47. Tara's mother, Patty, identifies the tape as belonging to Tara, saying that it is what Tara was listening to on her bike ride. Tara Calico was last seen riding her mother's neon pink Huffy mountain bicycle on Highway 47 about two miles from her home in Belen. A dirty white or light gray 1953 Ford pickup truck with a white, handmade shell was following directly behind her. THE PROSECUTION'S CASE FOR CHRIST
Non-Christian Historical Sources: Writings by non-Christian sources from the time of Jesus to provide independent confirmation of his existence….like: Tacitus, a Roman historian, who in his Annals (written around 116 AD) mentions the execution of "Christus" (Jesus) under Pontius Pilate during the reign of Emperor Tiberius. Josephus, a Jewish historian, in Antiquities of the Jews, about 93-94 AD, makes two references to Jesus. One is a more disputed passage (the Testimonium Flavianum), but it still provides evidence of Jesus' existence, his role as a teacher, and his crucifixion. Pliny the Younger, a Roman governor, in a letter to Emperor Trajan around 112 AD, mentions early Christians worshiping Christ as a god and gathering regularly for worship. These references from non-Christian authors confirm the existence of Jesus and suggest that he was known for his teachings and crucifixion. The Pilate Inscription: In 1961, archaeologists uncovered a stone inscription in Caesarea Maritima that mentions Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor who ordered Jesus’ crucifixion. This find supports the biblical account of Pilate's role in Jesus’ trial. The James Ossuary: A first-century bone box inscribed with "James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus" was discovered in 2002. While its authenticity has been debated, it could provide indirect evidence of Jesus’ historical existence, especially if it refers to the biblical James, the brother of Jesus. Early Christian Writings: Early Christian writers such as Clement of Rome, Ignatius of Antioch, and Polycarp—who were contemporaries or immediate followers of the apostles—wrote about Jesus as a real person who had lived, died, and risen from the dead. These writings, which are part of the early Christian tradition, serve as additional evidence that Jesus was a historical figure. STEFANIE, 13, 'WALKED INTO WOODS' AND DISAPPEARED: BIZARRE INCONSISTENCIES EMERGE
Deep in the Maine woods near the Canadian border, the Damron family sets up a homestead on 20 acres of land with a Yurt they use as a home. The family of eight consists of father and mother, Dale and Lisa Damron, their five children, and 80-year-old Richard Turgeon. Turgeon is not a blood relative but has lived with the family for so long that the children call him grandpa. After two winters in the yurt with no running water, no indoor plumbing and power supplied by generator, Dale and Lisa Damron, and the youngest children move into a trailer offered to them by friend, Andrew Losiewicz, a mile away up the driveway from the Yurt, while 13-year-old Stefanie and her 18-year-old sister, Star, live with grandpa Richard Turgeon, in the yurt. After a serious argument about chores around the yurt, Stefanie goes for a walk in the woods to calm herself. Not uncommon, as Stefanie knows the woods like the back of her hand. Lisa and Dale Damron are in town on a job interview when Star calls to tell them about the argument and Stefanie running into the woods. It is 3 p.m., and the Damron thinks Stefanie will return shortly. As the sun goes down and Stefanie hasn’t returned, the Damrons are concerned and take to the woods, calling out for Stefanie. When Stefanie hasn’t returned the next morning, the Damron report her missing to the Maine State Police, and organized searches begin. Investigators conduct a neighborhood canvas and video search, K9 teams and volunteers conduct grid searches over the Damrons’ property for days, and the FBI’s Child Abduction Rapid Deployment—or CARD team is brought in to look for Stefanie’s activity online. Stefanie’s Father, Dale Damron, says he didn’t think Stefanie could get online and wasn’t aware the flip phone they got for “grandpa” Richard Turgeon could access the internet. A quick check of the phone and the FBI realizes Stefanie could have been using the flip phone to get online. HOLLYNN, 19, MIND OF 10 Y.O., VANISHES FROM PARTY, SPARKS SERIAL KILLER FEAR
At age 10, Erica Bilheimer got a fresh name with a fresh start. Adopted by Heather and Steven Snapp, she chooses to now be known as "Hollynn" Snapp. Hollynn and the Snapps remain in close contact with her previous foster mother, Leslie Hunt, who took care of Hollynn for more than a year. Over time, Hollynn doesn’t change much. At 19, Hollynn stands just 4 feet, 9 inches tall, and is diagnosed with a low IQ; she has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old child. On October 5, Hollynn texts Heather she’s attending a party at a home on Bell Ridge Drive with a man a trusted friend introduced her to, 52-year-old Steven Linkous. In her text, Hollynn mentions Linkous didn’t want her telling anyone his name, which Heather finds odd. Hollynn texted Heather an address in Kingsport and said, "Hey, this is where I am, and this iswho I am with, although he didn't want me to tell you his name," but she told Heather his name in the text. Foster mom, Leslie Hunt, assumes Hollynn started inpatient treatment when Hollynn hadn’t reached out in more than a week, but is shocked to see a Facebook post from Heather Snapp, asking if anyone has seen or spoken to Hollynn. Heather tells Leslie about Hollynn’s last text, and they agree that if Hollynn had access to a phone, she would have reached out by now. Heather struggles to get local authorities to take a missing person report, so the women report Hollynn missing to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office. After Hollynn is reported missing, Hollynn’s friend comes forward about leaving Hollynn at Linkous.’home Hollynn was last seen on October 5 at a "party" on Bell Ridge Drive in Kingsport, Tennessee. MOM OF LITTLE GIRL FOUND LOCKED IN CLOSET STARVED, 1 CORN-DOG A DAY, REJECTS PLEA DEAL
Austin police respond to a home in Del Valle after receiving a 911 call about a 7-year-old girl who discovered starved and locked inside a bedroom closet. Six other children are also found in the home, but police say it appears they are physically healthy. According to reports, the child was soiled and barricaded in a closet with heavy boxes blocking the door. An arrest affidavit reveals Virginia Marie Gonzales is accused of locking the 7-year-old girl in a closet for “weeks at a time.” The affidavit further states the girl’s grandmother told police that the child had trouble controlling her bladder and often ate things she shouldn’t. This allegedly led to her siblings being instructed to keep her locked in the closet. The 7-year-old was hospitalized and is now recovering. During the investigation, detectives learn about another child, Ava, who has been missing for years. Virginia Marie Gonzales, Ava‘s mother, was arrested on a charge of serious injury to a child in connection with the 7-year-old’s case. According to police, the missing now 9-year-old child was last seen when she was just 2 years old and in the custody of her mother, Virginia Marie Gonzales. Now, Gonzales has rejected a plea offer related to her arrest. The State offered Gonzales a 40-year prison sentence in exchange for her guilty plea. She and her attorney, Gabe Hernandez, rejected the offer, calling it “utterly absurd.” Gonzales is still in custody. Trial is set to begin January 26, 2026. NURSING STUDENT HOLLY BOBO GOES INTO THE WOODS AND VANISHES: KILLER WANTS NEW TRIAL
Holly Bobo, a beautiful young nursing student, disappears from her family home in Darden, Tennessee. She is last seen by her brother, Clint, walking into the woods at the back of their property with a man wearing camouflage who looks familiar. The Holly Bobo murder case returns to court years after a Tennessee man’s conviction. A new legal filing has emerged, requesting a new trial based on statements made by a key trial witness who now claims to be recanting his testimony—the same testimony that helped convict his friend. Holly's case has already faced several setbacks over the years; could this be another? At the time of her disappearance, Holly Bobo was a 20-year-old nursing student at the University of Tennessee at Martin, where she attended classes at the Parsons Center. She lived with her parents and brother. On the morning of her disappearance, Clint, Holly's brother, was awakened by a noise outside the home. Believing he heard and saw his sister talking with her boyfriend, he thought nothing was wrong. However, when Clint spoke to their mother, she immediately sensed something was wrong and frantically called 911. That morning, Holly had woken up at 4:30 a.m. to study for an exam. Around 7:30 a.m., she answered a call from her boyfriend, Drew Scott, who was out turkey hunting. By that time, Holly's parents had already left for work, and Clint was still asleep. Twelve minutes later, Holly made her final cell phone call. Now, her convicted killer wants a new trial. His then attorney testifies that she does not believe she was an effective counsel. She cites depression and being overwhelmed by the volume of evidence. The judge will hear more testimony this month. FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIAL: KANSAS CITY CHIEFS HOMICIDE BOMBSHELL - Jordan Willis Confident He'll Beat Charges
Ricky Johnson, David Harrington, and Clayton McGeeney were last seen alive on January 7, 2024, watching the final regular-season Kansas City Chiefs game at the home of their friend, Jordan Willis. Two days later, authorities found their frozen bodies outside the house. After a yearlong investigation, prosecutors charged Jordan Willis and Ivory Carson in connection with the deaths, which gained national attention. Both men face three counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of delivering a controlled substance. Police say Carson, known as "Blade Brown," supplied and sold cocaine to Willis and the victims. Investigators found Carson's DNA on a bag of fentanyl inside Willis' home. During the investigation, law enforcement initially said they did not suspect foul play. A toxicology report later confirmed that the men had cocaine, THC, and fentanyl in their systems. Police have since ruled the deaths as caused by "fentanyl and cocaine toxicity." As the case progressed, Willis moved out of the home and checked into rehab. A forensic analysis of Harrington’s phone uncovered text messages between Willis, McGeeney, Johnson, and others, linking Carson to the cocaine supply. DNA evidence identified Willis as a major contributor, and a second bag contained DNA matching Carson, confirming his role as the drug supplier. After a recent court hearing Willis said he was confident in his case when asked by reporters Joining Nancy Grace today: Jonathan Price - Brother of Ricky Johnson Derek Smith - Criminal Defense Attorney Dr. Heidi Green - Clinical Psychologist, Trauma Specialist, and Author: ‘The Path to Self-Love and World Domination; IG: @drheidigreen Barry Hutchison - Former 26-year Law Enforcement Veteran and Detective, Owner & Chief Investigator for Barry & Associates Investigative Services located in Kansas & Missouri Dr. Kendall Crowns - Chief Medical Examiner Tarrant County (Ft Worth), NEW Podcast --- launching on April 7th, Lecturer: Burnett School of Medicine at TCU (Texas Christian University) Eric Zahnd - Platte County Prosecutor in Missouri Alexis Tereszcuk - Crimeonline.com Investigative Reporter Dave Mack - CrimeOnline Investigative Reporter See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

BUSTED! FEDS INDICT MYRTLE BEACH PASTOR JOHN PAUL MILLER AFTER SWAMP-DEATH OF WIFE MICA, CYBER STALKED
John Paul Miller, a South Carolina pastor, whose wife, Mica Miller, died by suicide last year after she filed for divorce, has been federally indicted after being accused of posting her nude photo online and stalking her before her death. Miller, 46, is charged with felony charges of cyberstalking and making false statements to federal investigators, according to authorities. John-Paul Miller and Mica Miller were married in 2017, and at the age of just 23, Mica Miller becomes stepmom to John-Paul Miller's five children. JP Miller is considerably older than his beautiful young wife, but they move forward like a match made in heaven. Outside the home, everybody seems happy, but inside the home, not so much. Mica Miller decides she has had enough of Pastor John-Paul Miller and files for divorce. Four months after filing for divorce, Mica Miller pulls back the divorce papers, only to file new divorce papers weeks later. After filing for divorce the second time, her tires are slashed twice in a week, and a mechanic finds a tracking device in Mica's car. Allegedly, Mica feels like she is being stalked by Miller and fears for her life. One morning during a church service, Pastor John-Paul Miller announces he got a call last night, and his wife has died by suicide. Mica's family and friends demand justice for Mica and ask law enforcement to investigate. Protest follows outside Solid Rock Church demanding justice for Mica. NO REMORSE, STONE-FACED NICK REINER 'SLIT PARENTS' THROATS,' ROB, MICHELLE REINER MURDERED
Nick Reiner appears in a Los Angeles courthouse on Wednesday for the first time since he is accused of killing his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner. While in court, Nick Reiner, 32, appears to be wearing an all-blue vest. The only words he utters during the brief appearance are, “Yes, your honor.” His arraignment is pushed back to January 7, marking the second time it was delayed since his arrest Sunday in his parents' deaths. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office on Wednesday listed the couple's cause of death as multiple sharp force injuries. Many jump to the conclusion that the Reiners were bad parents to their middle child, and somehow responsible for their demise at their troubled son's hands. SHOCK ARREST, HOTEL TRAIL OF BLOOD, ROB REINER, WIFE MICHELLE STABBED IN BED
Michele and Rob Reiner leave Conan’s party without their son after his off-putting behavior, like wearing a hoodie to a formal event and interrupting Bill Hader’s private conversation, leads to an embarrassing public row. Reiner, however, doesn’t make his own way to Brentwood. Instead, he pops up in Santa Monica at 4 a.m. Sunday morning, checking into The Pierside hotel. Desk staff don’t notice anything off about Reiner’s appearance, but the next morning, housekeepers find sheets covering the windows, and blood all over Reiner’s bedding and shower. The Reiners’ troubles with their middle child have been bubbling to a head for months. Every photo of the family from the September premiere of Rob’s latest film, "Spinal Tap: The End Continues," picture the 32-year-old sporting a deep scowl. By November, Nick Reiner moves back into his parents’ guest house, which he’s trashed on multiple occasions, leading up to a blowout fight the day after Thanksgiving that left Michele “at her wits’ end.” Ahead of Reiner’s first appearance, renowned defense attorney Alan Jackson enters the LA County courthouse, telling reporters he’s representing Nick Reiner. Jackson says his client is still undergoing a medical evaluation at the infamous Twin Towers Correctional Facility, where Reiner is rumored to be held on suicide watch. MOTEL 'FULL OF BLOOD' AFTER MURDERS OF HOLLYWOOD LEGEND ROB REINER & WIFE MICHELE
Romy Reiner, the daughter of Hollywood legend Rob Reiner, is unable to reach her parents all day Sunday, so she decides to stop by their house, as she lives just across the street. At around 3:30 p.m., Romy lets herself into her parents' Brentwood estate and discovers her mother and father, Rob and Michele Singer Reiner, dead. Romy dials 911 in a panic, but EMTs can do nothing but call for LAPD backup. LAPD quickly responds to the residence of Rob and Michele, located in West Los Angeles. Working with the coroner's office, detectives can identify the victims definitively as Rob and Michele Reiner. Rob Reiner was born into the business; his father, Carl Reiner, is a legend behind the popular "Dick Van Dyke Show," and his mother, Estelle, performed as a cabaret singer. DEATH BY MERCEDES: $$$ Socialite Mows Down Brothers, Denied Venue Change in Civil Trial, Accused of Hiding Assets
Convicted socialite Rebecca Grossman's demand for a venue change in a wrongful death suit trial filed against her has been denied. The parents of two young boys killed when a drunk Grossman plowed into them are civilly suing Grossman and her former MLB star lover Scott Erickson for wrongful death. Grossman’s civil lawyers argued extensive negative publicity surrounding the accident and legal proceedings would bias local jurors, making a fair trial impossible. Judge Huey Cotton acknowledged that Grossman has been portrayed unfavorably on social media and drew attention from the press, but he agreed with the Iskanders’ attorneys that the news coverage mostly reported the facts rather than expressing outrage.” In another ruling, the judge rejected arguments by Grossman’s attorneys that the one previous deposition taken of the philanthropist’s husband, Dr. Peter Grossman, was enough. He also paved the way for his daughter, Alexis Grossman, to be deposed. Alexis was 6 at the time of the crash, and attorneys claimed the deposition would further traumatize the young woman already suffering from PTSD. The judge countered that Alexis, now 21, was able to testify on her mother’s behalf at the criminal trial, and she was one of the first people on the scene after the crash. The judge ruled the disability does not disqualify her from appearing at the deposition. The judge also ruled husband Peter Grossman may have relevant information. Peter Grossman is a defendant in the suit on grounds he allegedly granted permissive use to his wife to drive the vehicle used in the accident. Included in the deposition motion is a request by the Iskanders to question Peter Grossman, a renowned plastic surgeon, about the transferred title to the couple's sprawling hilltop mansion to a mystery trust and lawyer. It’s now on sale for $13.5 million, according to court documents. Just after 7 pm, on a September evening, Jacob and Mark Iskander, their siblings, and their parents go for an evening stroll to a nearby lake. The 6-member family is crossing in a crosswalk at a three-way intersection when mother Nancy hears a speeding car barreling their way. The mom says her husband and daughter were farther away from the street. She tries to signal to the two SUVs to slow down. She tries to pull the children back, only managing to grab 1 of them and dive out of the way. Jacob and Mark are hit. Mark Iskander dies at the scene. Jacob dies later at the hospital. According to police, Mark was thrown 254 feet. Nancy Iskander tells police that two SUVs were "zig-zagging with each other as if they were playing or racing." She says the drivers didn’t stop at the intersection, not even when the 11-year-old was on the hood of the car. Deputies reportedly catch up with a white Mercedes with significant front-end damage a third of a mile from the scene. Behind the wheel is Rebecca Grossman. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says they believe that the vehicle was traveling over 80 miles an hour. Grossman’s breathalyzer test after the crash showed a blood-alcohol content of 0.076%, according to local news reports. The legal limit in California is 0.08%. A blood sample taken three hours after the crash registered at the 0.08% mark. Rebecca Grossman was charged and convicted of two felony counts each of second-degree murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, and one felony count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death. Grossman was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. BODY BAGS WITH JOSEPH SCOTT MORGAN: GILGO UPDATE: 1997 Murder/Dismemberment of 'Peaches;' ARREST!
On June 28, 1997, a dismembered body is discovered by a father and his daughter out for a walk in Hempstead Lake State Park in Lakeview, New York. The torso is found in a rubber-maid container along with a red towel and a floral pillowcase. The head, both arms, both legs below the knee, all severed from the body and have not been found. A unique tattoo is found of a peach with a bite taken out of it that leads Investigators to publish a picture of the tattoo in a national tattoo magazine in hopes of finding an artist who remembered such a tattoo. Tattoo artist Steve Cullen in Connecticut claimed to remember giving the tattoo to a young black woman, 18 or 19 years old. The body remained unidentified and was given the name "Peaches" and she is listed as one of the possible victims of the Long Island Serial Killer. In 2011 the remains of a toddler are discovered that are identified in 2016 as belonging to "Peaches," but still, no name identification. MORMON MOM CHARGED W/POISONING HUBBY FACING ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Kouri Richins remains in Summit County Jail, after the judge denies a defense motion to reconsider bail and release. In addition to the murder charges in the death of her husband, Richins faces over two dozen charges in a separate case alleging she committed mortgage fraud, submitted falsified banks statements, committed money laundering and issued bad checks. Meanwhile, Kouri Richins' defense alleges that the Summit County Sheriff’s Office illegally obtained evidence while investigating the death of Eric Richins. Defense attorneys Kathy Nester and Wendy Lewis say detectives violated Richins' constitutional rights and argue that the evidence should be ruled inadmissible during her murder trial. At the center of the motion are the "Walk the Dog" letter and data from her phone and Apple accounts. Defense attorneys argue that investigators took Kouri’s phone without a proper warrant and failed to inform her of her right to remain silent, her right to request a lawyer, and her right to refuse questioning. The case began when Eric Richins became violently ill on multiple occasions after having dinner with his wife, Kouri. The couple, who owned a successful real estate business, was celebrating a big sale when Kouri Richins prepared a drink for her husband. She then went to care for their children. Hours later, when she went to bed, Eric Richins was dead. Investigators believe his wife killed him by putting a fatal dose of fentanyl in his drink. Police also discovered that Kouri Richins attempted to change the beneficiary of her husband's life insurance policy. FRIDAY NIGHT SPECIAL: KILLER ATTORNEY ALEX MURDAUGH RETRIAL ODDS IMPROVE AS FORMER COLLETON COUNTY CLERK PLEADS GUILTY
Former Colleton County Clerk of Court Mary Rebecca “Becky” Hill pleads guilty to four charges — obstruction of justice and perjury for showing a reporter photographs that were sealed court exhibits and then lying about it. There are also two counts of misconduct in office for taking bonuses and promoting through her public office a book she wrote on the trial. Judge Heath Taylor sentenced Hill to three years of probation. This as the South Carolina's Supreme Court granted Alex Murdaugh's request for a new trial in the murders of his wife and son. At the heart of the appeal and review is whether former South Carolina Chief Justice Jean Toal fairly denied Murdaugh a new murder trial. The Supreme Court could reverse or overturn that ruling – and could order the court to give him a new trial. Claims that Colleton County Clerk of Court Rebecca Hill, being involved in talking improperly to jurors. A hearing was held with Judge Jean Toal presiding one juror, identified as Juror Z, said Becky Hill told jurors to watch Murdaugh "closely" and "made it seem like he was already guilty." When asked if this influenced her vote to find Murdaugh guilty, the juror said “Yes, ma’am.” Toal said Becky Hill was not a credible witness and denied Murdaugh a new trial, but with Hill's plea, will Murdaugh be granted a new trial in February?
