An arrest in the death of 10-year-old Illiana “Lily” Peters. Police announcing a teen, known to Peters is in custody and is scheduled for his first court hearing today. Peters disappeared after visiting with her aunt, who lives near the little girl. Her body was found in a wooded area along a walking trail between Peters home and the aunt's. 17-year-old cheerleader, Carla Walker, and her boyfriend Rodney McCoy,  quarterback on the football team, are the poster couple for high school sweethearts. The couple attends a Valentine’s Day dance at  Western Hills High School in Fort Worth, Texas. After the dance, the couple hangs out with friends and then stops quickly at Ridglea bowling alley for a bathroom break, but when they get back in the car,  the unthinkable happens. Carla is in the passenger’s seat when someone jerks the door open. Carla is pulled out of the car.  Rodney McCoy is pistol-whipped and knocked unconscious.  When McCoy wakes up, Walker is gone and McCoy is bleeding from his head. Carla Walker's partially nude body is discovered three days later stuffed in a storm drain. Carla had been beaten, raped, strangled, tortured, and drugged. It's been nearly six months since mom of three, Melissa Trumpy has been seen. Her disappearance came shortly after she and her boyfriend at the time, 35-year-old Derek Hammer, were arrested at Trumpy’s home in Monticello, Wisconsin, for drug-related crimes.  Trumpy had reportedly agreed to cooperate with investigators and serve as a witness against Hammer.  Since Trumpy went missing, Hammer was arrested for alleged bail jumping.  Hammer served prison time in Nevada for battery by strangulation and possession of an explosive device, according to prison records. Authorities have not named Hammer as an investigative target in Trumpy’s disappearance. Slain New York mother Orsolya Gaal's handyman/lover arrested for her murder. Police say Gaal and David Bonola had a two-year affair,  which had recently ended. Murder charges against Suzanne Morphew's husband, Barry,  have been dismissed.  The Colorado mom has been missing since Mother's Day of 2020. Prosecutors filed a motion to dismissed without prejudice — meaning charges can be refiled at a later date. Police claim they are close to finding Suzanne Morphew's body, but the weather and snowpack are delaying searches.  Prosecutors wrote in their latest motion that they have zeroed in on a “remote and mountainous” area currently covered by five feet of snow, near the Morphews’ home. During an April 8 hearing, the judge barred 12 of the prosecution’s 14 witnesses from testifying as expert witnesses. Prosecutors wrote in Tuesday’s motion that some of their strongest evidence — phone and GPS data in addition to truck data — was also excluded from Barry Morphew’s planned trial. Actor Johnny Depp's testimony continues in his $50 million defamation lawsuit again his former wife. On Tuesday, Depp testified that Amber Heard has “grossly embellished” incidents in their marriage. Depp told the court that he had never hit Heard and that her characterization of his behavior while on drugs, was inaccurate. Depp told the court that there was “no moment where I would’ve been considered out of control” during his marriage. Depp sued Heard over an op-ed published in the Washington Post. The actress characterized herself as a domestic abuse survivor, but didn't mention Depp by name. Depp alleged defamation because Heard’s claims covered the time they were married. A 51-year-old mom of two, stabbed nearly 60 times, found stuffed inside a duffel bag in her Forest Hills neighborhood. A half-mile long blood trail led police to the home Gaal shared with her husband and teen sons. The husband and older son were reportedly out of town on a college campus visit. Police say Orsolya Gaal spent her Friday afternoon with friends at a backyard party, before telling her teen son that she was meeting friends. Police say the woman is seen on surveillance video sitting in a Queens' bar, alone, for nearly an hour. Then at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, a security video captured a man rolling the bloody duffel bag down Juno Street. A man walking his dogs found the body. Gaal’s husband says he received a text message threatening him and his children prior to the murder. Whoever sent the text claimed they had been jailed or imprisoned at some point in the past because of Gaal. The suspect allegedly threatened to kill the entire family if the police were contacted. Qinxuan Pan, the man accused in the shooting death of a Yale graduate student, will soon get his day in court. Pan is charged with murder and larceny in connection with the death of Kevin Jiang. The 26-year-old graduate student at Yale’s School of the Environment, was also an Army veteran and had recently become engaged to be married. That marriage announcement is thought to be the motive behind the shooting. Jiang's fiance and Pan were both affiliated with Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The search for Nikki Wilhoite begins after a friend calls police when Wilhoite didn't show up for work. A Boone County deputy conducts a welfare check at the Lebanon farm owned by Wilhoite and her husband. Andrew Wilhoite says he last saw his wife around 11pm the night before, sleeping on their couch. He says the couple had a fight. Wilhoite says that sometimes his wife leaves the house when the couple argues, but she usually returns the next morning. Three South Carolina teen girls accuse the same man of raping them. Bowen Turner is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, but the outcome in this case has caused much outcry. While awaiting trial, Turner is held on house arrest with ankle monitoring. Court documents state that if Turner violates his bond, he is to be immediately taken into custody, but reports show that Turner violated that order more that 50 times, even crossing state lines without being taken into custody. One case was dropped when the victim died. In facing the other charges, Turner accepted a plea deal. He pleads guilty as a youthful offender to first-degree assault and battery. At sentencing, Turner is given five years of probation, and does not have to register as a sex offender. Lori Vallow Daybell will stand trial for the deaths of her two children. On Monday, an Idaho court found Lori Vallow Daybell fit to stand trial. Seventh District Judge Steven Boyce ordered Daybell’s release from the Department of Health and Welfare after reviewing three evaluation reports. Daybell has been undergoing treatment since last summer, but she will now be be transferred from the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare to Fremont County police’s custody. Daybell arraignment is April 19. The two children, JJ and Tylee, vanished in September, 2019. Three people found dead at a Georgia gun range. The owners, 71-year-old Thomas Richard Hawk Sr., his wife, Evelyn Hawk, and their 19-year-old grandson, Luke Hawk, found shot, in what authorities say appears to be a violent triple murder and robbery. Richard Hawk, Luke’s father, drove to the shooting range to check on his son and parents when they did not come home. He found their bodies on the floor several steps away from each other. Police said about 40 weapons and a security camera recorder were reportedly stolen. Local police, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms are investigating. Deputies are called to a home on a September morning after relatives find the body of Jack Chandler, his wife, Kay, and their daughter Tiffany Ichor, All three victims have been shot multiple times with at least two different weapons. Investigators say two masked suspects can be seen on security cameras outside the rural home. Minutes later the electricity is cut, and the door to the home forced open. Shell casings and DNA found in a cap at the scene help detectives narrow in on suspects. Not suprisingly, it's Tiffany Ichor's former abusive boyfriend, Barry Titus. Investigators say Titus had previously made threats to kill the family. Raeann Carli tells The Sun that just five months into Cassi Carli’s pregnancy, she wanted out of the relationship. The 17-year-old committed suicide last week, just hours after someone demanded money to keep a compromising photo from being sent to his parents and friends. The extortionists initially contacted DeMay over a fake social media account, posing as a teen girl who sent him a nude picture. Jordan reciprocated. The photo then became the center of a sextortion scam. The perpetrator pressured DeMay to pay to keep the photo private. The teen sent $300. The perpetrator wanted more. The search continues for missing mom Cassi Carli. Police have found the body of missing teen Naomi Irion after receiving a tip that led them to her gravesite.18-year-old Naomi Irion was last seen on security footage, sitting in her vehicle while waiting for the shuttle she takes to work at Panasonic in the Reno-Sparks area. The footage also shows a man walking from the direction of a homeless camp and lurking among the parked vehicles. Naomi’s brother, Casey Valley, says that security footage seemed to show the suspect saying or doing something that made Naomi move from the driver’s seat to the passenger seat. Irion was in the passenger’s seat as the man drove away. Investigators found Naomi’s blue 1992 Mercury Sable on March 15 at the Fernley industrial park.Police arrested Nevada man Troy Driver in connection with Naomi Irion’s disappearance. He has been charged with first-degree kidnapping with bail set at $750,000. Arizona police are searching for a person of interest after a deceased newborn was reportedly found in a McDonald's bathroom. Smart's request was rejected in a 5-0 vote by a New Hampshire state council. Even though Smart denied plotting to kill her husband, she was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and other crimes, and sentenced to life without parole. She has hazel eyes, strawberry-blond hair and wears glasses, but despite her age and appearance, Kaitlin has the mentality of someone much younger. She is mentally disabled. In the first week of February, Kaitlin and her 21-year-old brother met a man at their local Family Dollar Store in Fayetteville North Carolina. Kaitlin's mother, Lisa Benjamin, says she believes her daughter met the man on Instagram. The only thing Lisa knows about the man is his first name, Chris. It's believed that Kaitlin left her home in the middle of the night, lured from her home. Her mother believes the man made promises to Kaitlin to convince her to leave. Law Enforcement says Kaitlin's phone pinged in Miami on February 7th or February 8th and in Orlando, Florida on February 15th. A rancher finds Gabriel Quintanilla beaten, in a field outside McAllen, Texas. The 42-year-old dies of blunt force trauma to the head. An investigation uncovers a warrant for Quintanilla on charges of continuous sexual assault of a child and assault, family violence. This is after Quintanilla's 9-year-old daughter accuses him of inappropriately touching her.Police said the girl's teen stepbrothers, Christian, and Alejandro Trevino, learn of the accusations and confront Quintanilla, leading to a fight. Quintanilla reportedly then left the area on foot. A second fight occurred when Christian Trevino allegedly chased Quintanilla.At some point, Alejandro Trevino arrived in a car driven by friend Juan Eduardo Melendez, 18. The two other teens reportedly joined in on the attack. Quintanilla was then attacked a third time. Police believe brass knuckles were used.
