TRAIL-MOM RACHEL MORIN'S BLUDGEON-KILLER BUSTED: MOM BREAKS SILENCE
Emotions are running high for the loved ones of Rachel Morin after police locate and arrest Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez. The suspect in Rachel Morin's brutal murder is found casually sitting in a Tulsa, Oklahoma bar. During the arrest, Hernandez initially lies to authorities about his true identity and denies any knowledge of the attack on a 9-year-old little girl in Los Angeles and the murder of Morin. The Morin family and investigators strongly believe that the two known crimes are not the only ones Victor Hernandez committed while in the U.S. The attack on a little girl and her mother in L.A. came just two months after Hernandez allegedly murdered a woman in his native El Salvador. Rachel Morin’s body was found nearly five months later, and another 10 months passed before Hernandez’s arrest. More than a year of Hernandez’s time in the U.S. is still unaccounted for. While there is a sense of closure, Morin’s sister, Rebekah, says it also feels like "day one all over again." Matt McMahon, the father of Morin’s eldest daughter, says the Ma and Pa trail feels like it ‘belongs to Rachel again,’ and is even more grateful for the arrest as their daughter, Faye, is now expecting her own little girl later this year. McMahon describes the news as bittersweet, knowing how excited Rachel Morin would be to learn she was going to be a grandmother. Chelsea Grimm attends Pace University in New York to study psychology. She graduates with a master's degree in social work. Putting her degree to good use, she works for the New York City Department of Education as a social worker. Chelsea Grimm makes a change, heading to the West Coast, and settling in Ocean Beach, California. Chelsea making plans to meet her parents at a wedding in Connecticut, but when she can't find an airline that will let her fly with her pet Bearded Dragon, Chelsea decides to make it a road trip, using the travel to take photos of forgotten soldiers and other special people at cemeteries across the country. On September 24, Chelsea Grimm leaves San Diego and heads for Connecticut. Three days into her cross-country trip, Grimm arrives in Phoenix, Arizona, where she meets her sister and a friend. Grimm makes plans to meet the same friend for lunch the next day but cancels the plans. On that same day, she stops at a motel in Seligman, about 160 miles north of Phoenix. The clerk says Grimm seems confused as she tries to book a room, exchanging Euros instead of US Currency. She mentions wanting to be "off-grid" and asks if there are any places in town that would exchange Euros. From a motel in Seligman, Arizona, Chelsea Grimm calls her parents and tells them she isn't going to make it to Connecticut on time for the wedding, the trip is taking too long. She tells them she is going to camp out nearby for a couple of days and head back home to San Diego. The next day, September 28, Grimm leaves the motel and heads 40 miles east to a war memorial cemetery in Williams, Arizona. Williams police are alerted to a suspicious vehicle and when the officer checks, he finds Chelsea Grimm seated in her car, crying. She tells the officer she gets emotional taking photos for a lost soldier project and doesn't want to drive while crying. The officer spends nearly 9 minutes with Grimm and asks if she has a hotel room for the night. She says she is going to camp and the officer directs her not to camp in the city, but she can sleep at Love's Truck Stop nearby, he tells her she won't be bothered there Two days after talking to the police officer in Williams, Arizona, Grimm finds herself 19 miles west of Williams Ash Fork, Arizona. She is camping out in her Ford Focus SUV. A local woodcutter sees Grimm and talks to her for a few minutes, saying she isn't in distress or need of help. It is September 30. The woodcutter in Ash Fork, Arizona, is the last person to see Chelsea Grimm. Grimm's parents report her missing on October 4. The next day, her 2019 White Ford Escape SUV is found abandoned on the side of the road with two flat tires in the middle of Forest Service Road 6 in the Kaibad National Forest, northeast of Ash Fork. Inside the vehicle, all of Chelsea Grimm's personal belongings such as her wallet, driver's license, clothes, sleeping bag, and her bearded dragon are gone. Police say there is no evidence of foul play The area where Grimm's locked SUV is found is an area popular with hunters and loggers. An extensive search is conducted of a 3-mile radius around where her car is discovered. Her family believes that due to the intensity of the search, if Chelsea is in the area, she will be found. Hunters and loggers in the area also strongly believe she is not there. Chelsea Grimm's family hires a private investigator, Kelly Townsend, to help with the case. MADDIE, 13, SEAT-BUCKLED DEAD INTO CAR OF MOMMY'S LOVER
The day Madeline Soto vanished, her mother, Jennifer, writes in a sworn statement that she saw her daughter getting ready for school that morning. In a later interview, Jennifer Soto instead says she heard someone in the kitchen. She assumes it's Madeline, but that isn't the only change in the mother's story. Jennifer finally tells investigators she last saw her 13-year-old daughter the night before, when she sent Madeline to another bedroom with Stephan Sterns. According to Mom, this is a common arrangement when she needs to get a good night's sleep. Early in the investigation, Stephan Sterns was a person of interest. The day Madeline Soto is reported missing, investigators allegedly found 1,700 sexually explicit images on Sterns's cell phone. Investigators have also said they found images and video on Sterns’ phone showing he molested her for years. Initially, Stephan Sterns tells investigators he drops the girl off near Hunter's Creek Middle School. However, around that same time, investigators say a license plate reader detected Sterns's car miles away from the school. Using data from license plate readers and surveillance video, investigators track Sterns's car as it travels east from Kissimmee toward St. Cloud and Old Hickory Tree Road, where Madeline Soto's body is found lying face down near bamboo trees covered in debris. Investigators obtain surveillance video from the morning Madeline Soto is reported missing a trash compactor where a tread from Stephan Sterns's car is found as well as items belonging to Madeline Soto, like her black backpack. Sterns is caught on video throwing these objects in the trash compactor. Minutes later, Sterns is caught on surveillance video at 7:36 a.m. driving away from the Kissimmee, Florida neighborhood with a female in the front passenger seat. Investigators believe the female seen at 7:36 a.m. in the surveillance video in the front passenger seat of Stephan Sterns's vehicle is Madeline Soto's dead body propped up and buckled into the seat to appear as a living person, but closer inspection of the video shows her head leaning toward her shoulder with her mouth open. Sterns is caught on surveillance video again at 8:19 am when he is seen entering the front security gate of the neighborhood with a female, in the same position as the surveillance video. Stephan Sterns's car is seen on surveillance footage again, this time turning into the parking garage of Holiday Inn Club Vacations in Orlando. He drives to the top level of the parking garage and gets out of his car around 9:42 a.m. A man matching Sterns's description is seen allegedly opening the trunk, walking around to the passenger seat, opening the door, and carrying what appears to be a "limp female body" to the trunk of the vehicle. At 9:44 a.m. the vehicle is seen on surveillance video leaving the parking garage and driving away. The Florida State Attorney's office release more than 900 pages of information showing how investigators, using surveillance videos and license plate readers tracked Stephan Sterns leaving an apartment complex in Kissimmee on the morning of February 26, and driving to an area of St. Cloud where Madeline Soto's body is found four days later. It remains unclear as to how Madeline Soto died. The Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office announced that it filed 60 counts against Sterns, including: Eight counts of Sexual Battery on a Child Under 12 Five counts of Sexual Battery with a Child, 12-18 Seven counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation 40 counts of Unlawful Possession of Materials Depicting Sexual Performance by a Child, 10 or More Stephan Sterns will face the death penalty if convicted of the murder of Madeline Soto. The man suspected in the bludgeoning death of Rachel Morin is no longer on the run. Harford Sheriff Jeff Gahler announced the arrest of Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez, an undocumented migrant from El Salvador. Suspected Portland Serial Killer Stands Silent in Court
Jesse Lee Calhoun has been indicted on second-degree murder, charged in the death of 24-year-old Charity Lynn Perry, 31-year-old Bridget Leann Webster, and 32-year-old Joanna Speaks. Prosecutors say they’re still investigating the deaths of at least two additional women, Kristin Smith and Ashley Real. He’s also facing three charges of second-degree abuse of a corpse. All three women were found dead under suspicious circumstances in wooded or secluded areas around Portland last year. Detectives have linked the murders to a man granted early release from his sentence. Jesse Lee Calhoun, 38, was granted early release after he joined a group of inmates fighting devastating wildfires. Calhoun had been sentenced to four years in prison for felonies including burglary, unauthorized possession of a stolen vehicle, and injuring a police officer and a police dog as they attempted to arrest him. Calhoun's clemency has been revoked, and he is back behind bars. COPS: ALEC BALDWIN ANNOUNCES REALITY SHOW AFTER "SHOOTING WOMAN DEAD" ON SET
Alec Baldwin announces a new family reality show that will air on TLC. The video teaser offers a glimpse into the Baldwin family, with seven young children and a marriage with a 25-year age gap between the couple. The announcement is just in time for the July start of Baldwin's manslaughter trial. Baldwin’s attorneys have planned their defense around convicted armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed not testifying against Alec Baldwin at trial. If the defense can prevent Gutierrez-Reed from testifying, Baldwin's team can use her own words and conviction to lay the blame for the shooting squarely on her shoulders. Baldwin's team also claims that anything Gutierrez-Reed would offer is already available in her previous statements, and giving her immunity from prosecution and the freedom to claim whatever she wants could be highly prejudicial to their case. Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin is facing a second lawsuit involving the movie "Rust". Baldwin is accused of assault and battery, infliction of emotional distress, and the lawsuit accuses an even larger group of crew members of negligence. The lawsuit filed by Halyna Hutchins’ parents and sister, as well as the script supervisor on the movie, Mamie Mitchell, who was standing next to Halyna Hutchins when she was shot. Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, already found guilty of involuntary manslaughter as the armorer on the movie set, is also named in this lawsuit. Attorney Gloria Allred, who represents Hutchins' parents and sister in a civil suit against Baldwin, claims the new reality show is a calculated public relations move to influence the jury pool in New Mexico, making Baldwin out to be a compassionate family man. HEARTBREAK: BOY, 13, DEAD IN YARD AFTER "SEXTORTION" SCHEME
Geoffrey Hauptman kisses his wife goodbye as he leaves for work. Moments later, he calls Betsy Hauptman telling her to lock the doors and check on the children because someone’s passed out in the front yard. As he calls 911, Betsy Hauptman goes from room to room, locating 5 of 6 children. Timothy is missing. Betsy Hauptman meets her husband at the front door, hysterically explaining she can’t find Timothy. With tears in his eyes, Geoffrey Hauptman shakes his head at his wife, and she screams. The body in the front yard is Timothy, dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Security cameras show Timothy sitting in the family car in the driveway for two hours the night before, frantically scrolling on his cellphone. Sumter, South Carolina PD, collected Timothy’s phone and his school Chromebook. Just before his death, Timothy changed the passcode on his phone, so detectives focused on the task of unlocking it. Betsy Hauptman tells Detective Kelsey Wade that Timothy mainly communicated over Snapchat, and Wade issues a subpoena for the teen’s account. Eleven weeks go by with no answers, despite Hauptman calling twice a week. Wade finally informs Hauptman investigators that they are submitting a second Snapchat subpoena, along with a subpoena for Timothy’s Cash App activity. A month later, Sumter PD unearthed dozens of suicide notes addressed to family and friends. They also find an extensive call and text record with an unsaved phone number with a New York area code. The texts included links to a second Snapchat account Timothy used. Messages on that account reveal Timothy sent a stranger $35 a day to prevent them from posting an explicit photo of him online. GLAM AU PAIR, 23, PLOTS STAB DEATH OF BOSS’ WIFE?
Brazilian Au Pair, Juliana Peres Magalhaes and her charge leave the Banfields' Fairfax County, Virginia home but turn around when Peres Magalhaes realizes she forgot their bagged lunches. Arriving at the house, the au pair sees a car she doesn't recognize and a man she doesn't know entering the house. Confused, she calls her employer, Brendan Banfield, who tells her to stay in the car, that he will be right there. Banfield is at the house in minutes, and they enter the house together. The au pair takes her 4-year-old charge to the basement. Brendan Banfield goes upstairs to find his wife. Banfield finds his wife, Christine, nude, and a man he doesn't know, holding a knife to her throat. Banfield tells the man to put the knife down, but he starts stabbing the 37-year-old mother. Brendan Banfield carries a gun as an IRS Special Agent, and he draws his service revolver shooting the man in the head. The intruder is wounded and down on the ground. Banfield calls for Peres Magalhaes telling her to get his personal gun, a Glock, out of the bathroom safe. At Banfield's direction, shoots Joseph Ryan in the heart as he is lying on the ground. Police say it appeared that Christine Banfield had been posted on an adult fetish website., but investigators say they believe it was all a ruse. Someone else created the profile on the Adult Fetish website, pretending to be Christine Banfield. In fact, investigators believe Ryan's murder was part of an elaborate plan to kill Christine Banfield so her husband, Brendan, and their Brazilian live-in Au Pair, could be together. Investigators found pictures of Banfield and the au pair together in the Banfield bedroom, and Peres Magalhaes' clothes were found hanging in Banfield's closet, not her own. FITNESS-MOM MISSY BEVERS BLUDGEONED DEAD IN CREEKSIDE CHURCH
Missy Bevers arrives at Creekside Church at 4:16 am and begins setting up for her 5 am fitness class. She doesn't realize that someone else is in the building. Video surveillance shows a person dressed in full police SWAT tactical gear walking through the halls of the church with an unusual gait while clutching a hammer. Shortly before 5 am, one of Bevers' students arrives, finding Bevers's body inside the church. Bevers has puncture wounds to her head and chest. The student calls 911. In minutes, police and rescue arrive, and Missy Bevers is pronounced dead on the scene. Creekside church has surveillance cameras inside and out of their property. Still, in a tough break for cops, the outside cameras don't work. Police rule out Missy Bevers's husband, Brandon, as he was on an annual fishing trip at the time of the murder. However, Missy Bevers's death investigation now includes a vehicle of interest that police say was captured on surveillance cameras at a nearby business just before the murder. It is a 2010-2012 Nissan Altima, silver or light color, with an oval sticker on its bumper. GIRL 13, HEADS TO BUS STOP, NEVER SEEN AGAIN: WHERE'S TABITHA? PARENTS BREAK SILENCE
It's an early Tuesday morning in East Nashville.A family is just waking up for the day, and everyone is getting ready for work and sending their daughter off to school. Debra Tuders leaves for work at 6:30 a.m. Thirty minutes later, Bo Tuders wakes Tabitha up for school. Tabithia's siblings are still sleeping. Neighbors see Tabitha walking to the bus stop as usual. That afternoon, Tabitha isn't on the bus home. Her parents think that Tabitha may have missed the bus, walked, or maybe was with a friend, but by 5 p.m., panic sets in. Bo and Debra Tuders drive to Bailey Middle School, where a teacher tells them Tabitha was not in class that day. Nashville Police, canvassing the area, receive several tips. Some neighbors report seeing Tabitha at the bus stop on 14th and Boscobel Street but then see her cross 14th and head down Boscobel. A neighborhood boy says he saw Tabitha enter a red car at the corner of 15th Street. He described the driver as a 30 to 40-year-old Black male. Tracker dogs trace Tabitha's scent on a route similar to the boy's account. Jamie Tuders' ex-boyfriend matched that description and drove a red car, but police placed him elsewhere that morning. The tracker dogs lose Tabitha's scent in an alleyway. Friends say Tabitha would never have gone in the alley alone. Tabitha's clothes, toiletries, and money are left behind. Tabitha did not take her backpack to school that day; she only carried her signed report card. On Tabitha's desk at home, police find several 'business' cards with Tabitha's name, phone number, and address, alongside a picture of Winne the Pooh. Her parents did not know Tabitha had the cards and could not explain why she may have had them. Investigators also discover a note reading 'T.D.T - n – M.T.L.' Detectives believe them to be initials, TDT for Tabitha Danielle Tuders, but MTL has never been identified. CHILD MOLEST SUSPECT, 23, POSES AS SCHOOL GIRL, "DATES" LITTLE BOYS
Tampa PD responds to reports of shoplifting at a Nordstrom department store, speaking with teen suspects who say they’re dating. Alyssa Zinger tells cops her birthday is January 15th, 2009, putting her age at 14 years old. When officers try to verify her identity, they can only find a 22-year-old Alyssa Zinger, born in 2001. When confronted with that inconsistency, Zinger says she ‘has a half-sister with the same name.’ The store declines to press charges and both suspects are free to go. After the shoplifting incident, Tampa PD combs through government, school, and employment records to determine Alyssa Zinger, 14, and the 22-year-old half sister with the same name... are the same person. A teen boy then reports he has had a sexual relationship with Zinger for over 5 months. The victim says he met Zinger on Snapchat, where she introduced herself as a homeschooled 14-year-old. The boy says they had sex multiple times, and she sent him explicit photos and videos. He says he ended the relationship when he learned her true age. Alyssa Zinger is charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious battery and five counts of lewd and lascivious molestation. She posts bond on all seven charges and moves in with her parents as the case proceeds. Soon after, 4 more victims under the age of 15 come forward, claiming Zinger sent them videos of other minors engaged in sexual intercourse. One victim says Zinger spoke about having sex with other teens. Zinger is arrested for a second time, and charged with two additional counts each of lewd and lascivious battery and molestation, two counts of child pornography, and cyber sexual harassment. Zinger is denied bond and access to electronics while behind bars. 3 Sex Abuse Cases in 2 Countries: Influencer Andrew Tate Busted
Kickboxer and media influencer Andrew Tate charged with rape, human trafficking and more. He's now facing three sex abuse legal battles in two countries. Tate and his brother were taken into custody in Romania, where they live. Prosecutors say the Tates and two associates formed an organized criminal group to groom and sexually traffick women in the United States, the United Kingdom, as well as Romania. The indictment names seven women who say the Tate brothers recruited them with false promises, including love and marriage, but instead took them to buildings where they intimidated them, watched over them constantly, forcing them into debt and pornography. 'MOUNTAIN DEW BABY BOTTLES' MADE BY MOM KILLS DIABETIC TOT
Karmity Hoeb becomes lethargic. The normally busy 4-year-old is not active at all. After four days, her symptoms getting worse each day, Karmity turns blue and stops breathing. Her mother finally calls 911 for help. First responders can revive the little girl, who is taken to Children's Hospital. Karmity Hoeb seems malnourished, and her teeth appear to be rotted out. Doctors order a brain scan and determine that the little girl with a big personality is brain dead. An autopsy is done and reveals that Karmity died from a diabetes-related brain injury. Investigators determined that Karmity has never been formally diagnosed with Diabetes. Investigators discover her mother, Tamara Banks, has been feeding the 4-year-old a mixture of Mountain Dew and baby formula through a bottle long after she should have been weaned off the bottle, causing her teeth to rot. DIDDY DONE? GRAND JURY LOOMS AS MORE VIOLENT SEX ABUSE CLAIMS EMERGE
Dozens of Diddy's former associates, employees, and Bad Boy musicians have accused the American rapper of "abusive and violent" behavior, all detailed in a recent Rolling Stone report. The probe comes in response to previously unreleased CCTV footage of Diddy—real name Sean Combs—kicking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura that surfaced online last week. CNN was able to get security footage that appeared to show Combs shoving Ventura to the ground before trying to drag her, kick her, and hurl a vase at her. Since then, Combs has expressed regret and said, "I take full responsibility for my actions in that video." Over the previous six months, Rolling Stone conducted interviews with "dozens of former friends, acquaintances, employees, Bad Boy artists, and industry insiders." Just fifty of the 300 individuals contacted agreed to speak with the magazine. According Rolling Stone, several women who went to Howard University with Combs said they had "seen signs of a controlling and abusive personality decades ago.". Additionally, unnamed students told the magazine that there were alleged "previously unreported incidents involving unwanted touching and fits of rage." Some said that Combs had a fiery temper during his entire time in college. Numerous artists that signed with Bad Boy were also contacted by Rolling Stone, but "many declined" to be interviewed. One former Bad Boy artist told the magazine, "I don’t have anything nice to say when it comes to my time with Bad Boy. It was not a good experience and one I really don’t want to relive." Combs was given a series of questions as part of the Rolling Stone investigation, but he chose not to answer them. In response, his attorney stated, "Mr. Combs cannot comment on settled litigation, will not comment on pending litigation, and cannot address every allegation picked up by the press from any source, no matter how unreliable." Combs strongly denies the allegations and has not been charged or accused by federal prosecutors of a crime. It's also unclear whether charges against anyone are forthcoming. SICK STAB SPREE IN AMC MOVIE: 4 GIRLS ATTACKED
Four young girls head to an AMC in their hometown of Braintree, Mass. It’s a Saturday matinee showing of the movie “IF.” The four girls, ages 9-17, have the theater all to themselves, but just minutes into the movie, an unknown man wearing a trench coat and sporting long, blonde hair approaches in the darkened theater. He walks into the aisle behind the girls and, without saying a word, begins a bloody stabbing spree, knifing all four girls. The first victim, closest to the assailant, is bent down in her seat, reaching for something. She is stabbed in the back. He then stabs the girl next to her in the chest. He slashes the third across her arm and stabs the fourth in an unspecified location. The attacker then runs from the theater. While never uttering a word, he laughs throughout the attack. About an hour after the movie theater attack, Jared Ravizza pulls into a Plymouth McDonald’s drive-through. Ravizza gets out of the car to urinate and then places his order. Ravizza tries to snatch his bag from an employee at the window before paying. The 28-year-old employee doesn’t let go of the bag, and Ravizza stabs him in the arms with a large kitchen knife. Ravizza then parks his car, enters the McDonald’s, and stabs a second employee, a 21-year-old woman. Ravizza takes off again in his Porsche SUV. Plymouth PD uses surveillance footage and witness statements to identify the black Porsche Macan from the drive-through as registered to Jared Ravizza. State police officers spot the Porsche and flip on blue lights, but Ravizza takes off, leading an erratic chase. In the nearby town of Sandwich, Ravizza crashes the car, which explodes into flames. HAUNTING VIDEO OF LSU BEAUTY MADI BROOKS WHO DIES AFTER 3 MEN ALLEGEDLY SEX ASSAULT
Madi Brooks, 19, leaves Reggie’s Bar with four young men who offer to give her a ride home. A few blocks from the bar, the driver pulls over and starts to video as the two men in the backseat ‘have sex’ with an extremely intoxicated Brooks. Afterward, Brooks cannot tell the men her address and, according to them, insists on getting out of the car. Just before 3 a.m., a Lyft driver strikes something in the road. It’s Madi Brooks. She dies of her injuries at a hospital. The four men have been charged in this case, three of them with third-degree rape, and one is charged as a principal to third-degree rape, which means he was present for the alleged crime, but did nothing to stop it. Reportedly, there are concerns that District Judge Gail Horne Ray will not remain neutral while presiding over the trial of Madison Brooks’ four alleged rapists. Last year, Judge Ray reduced an accused rapist’s bail without allowing prosecutors to argue against the decision. Just last month, Ray moved to overturn a 1972 rape conviction when asked to consider allowing the convict parole. Her son, Nelson Taylor Jr., is also a convicted serial rapist. STUNNING UGA LAW STUDENT BRUTALLY BEATEN IN SMOLDERING OFF CAMPUS APT
Just after returning to classes at the University of Georgia for the spring semester, Tara Baker heads to the law library for a study session. At a quarter to 10, Baker calls her friend from the library to make sure she got home safe, mentioning she's heading home shortly. The next morning, Baker misses her 9:30 class. In the mid-morning hours of January 19th, Athens-Clarke County firefighters are called to an apartment fire at 160 Fawn Drive. Firefighters break down a locked door to access the unit, and find a fire had broken out in the bedroom and burned through the roof. Among the rubble, fire-fighters discover the body of a young woman, later identified as first-year law student Tara Louise Baker. Police do not release Baker’s cause of death, but tell the public they believe she was murdered, the attacker a stranger to Baker. Investigators consider the possibility that Baker’s murder is connected to a Christmas day arson at a complex just a block from Baker’s. No one was home when someone entered the unit and set fire to a pile of clothes. Police also look at Baker’s boyfriend, but he passes a polygraph test and his alibi is confirmed. Investigators focus on a theory that a stranger broke into Baker’s apartment. Police reveal that Baker was beaten, stabbed, strangled, and potentially sexually assaulted. 23 years after Tara Baker’s body is found in her burning apartment, the GBI in partnership with Athens-Clarke County Police arrest a man suspected of her murder. Edrick Faust, 48, is put behind bars for 9 charges related to Baker’s sexual assault and murder. Husband's Art Fraud Connected to Anna Walshe Disappearance?
Cohasset man Brian Walshe has been indicted for the murder of his wife, Ana Walshe, who vanished in early January after a New Year's Eve party. Prosecutors say the 48-year-old husband dismembered Ana Walshe and discarded her body in multiple trash cans in the area. Police have recovered blood-stained items from the home, including a hacksaw. Walshe has pleaded 'not guilty' to first-degree murder, but he's headed to jail anyway. A Massachusetts federal judge sentenced Brian Walshe to three years in prison for art fraud. He was ordered to serve 37 months in prison. He'll have three years of supervised release after, if he is not serving time for the murder of his wife. MILLIONAIRE-PARTY-MOM MOWS DOWN 2 BOYS WITH MERCEDES, JURY-RIGS?
While Rebecca Grossman awaits sentencing for mowing down Mark and Jacob Iskander while the Iskander family walked through a crosswalk, Grossman has allegedly been misusing her jail phone privileges. Prosecutors say the recorded calls document potential criminal conspiracies, such as requests to disclose protected discovery, discussion of various attempts to interfere with witnesses and their testimony, and attempts to tamper with the jury and influence a judge from behind bars. In one call, Grossman tells her husband to call Scott Erickson, her ex-lover and former major league pitcher, and "tell him to get on a video and that he needs to confess.” In another, Grossman is said to have told her 19-year-old daughter, Alexis, to release the body-camera video footage from the deputy on the scene even though that footage has been sealed. Her daughter responds, "I will." Grossman's private investigator, Paul Stuckey, also allegedly contacted at least two jurors from Grossman's trial. The DA argues that the only way Stuckey could have found out juror names would be to access a pre-dealing jury list, which amounts to both jury tampering and illegally having jurors' personal information. The Iskander family also accuses Grossman of "playing games" in court, by hiring a new defense attorney, James Spertus, currently representing Diana Teran from the Los Angeles District Attorney's office. Teran is charged with 11 felonies for allegedly misusing confidential law enforcement records. Before she was charged, Teran oversaw the prosecutors in Grossman's second-degree murder trial. Because of this, the DA reassigned the prosecutors from the case due to a potential conflict of interest. The DA's office backtracked on the move days later, reinstating the original prosecutors on the case. At a hearing addressing Spertus' conflict of interest, Judge Joseph Brandolino says he sees no sign of conflict and Grossman’s sentencing hearing will go on as scheduled on June 10. KANSAS MOMS' BODIES STUFFED IN ICE CHEST, BURIED IN COW PASTURE, BLOODY CLOTHES, TASER, DUCT TAPE
Newly filed court documents reveal what investigators did to find the bodies of Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley after they go missing en route to Butler's son's birthday party. OSBI, the FBI, and the Texas County Sheriff’s Department follow cell phone pings to find a horrific scene, a 10-foot-deep hole, eight and a half miles from Butler's abandoned car, in a pasture on farmland leased by Tad Cullum. Documents reveal investigators uncover a chest freezer, at the bottom of the hole. Once the freezer is open the search for Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley ends. Their bodies are inside the freezer along with personal items that do not belong to either of them. Among the items are the handle of a saw, a taser, and bloody clothes including two pairs of Wrangler Blue Jeans, a black belt, and two sweatshirts. Other items found at the burial site include duct tape with possible blood, a taser/flashlight, electrical cording and tape, two ratchet straps, and a black K-Bar knife in sheath, with possible blood on it. Inside Cora and Cole Twombly's truck, cops find a Taurus 380 handgun with a full magazine of hollow point ammunition and a live round in the chamber, stun guns, cat litter used for liquid absorption of trace evidence, biological/DNA evidence, digital photos, special scans, and all other evidence of the crime of murder. We also learn from the new documents that Paul Grice was seen with bandages on his hand in the days after the moms' disappearance and asking incriminating questions after their bodies were recovered. Grice asked a friend how long the state lab would take to process DNA evidence and how long DNA would last in the dirt. Grice says he is concerned about his DNA being in the hole that Butler and Kelley were found in because he had been to the Twombly residence. Grice also asks if he knows how to get a "guy and his family" into Mexico.
