Thalia Graves, who was dating a Bad Boy employee, says she accepted a glass of wine from Combs while riding in a car driven by his head of security, Joseph Sherman. Graves states she doesn’t remember passing out, but when she woke up, she was lying face down on a pool table with her hands tied behind her back, as Sean Combs raped her vaginally and anally. Years later, Graves learned that Combs had filmed the assault and shared the video with others. At the same time, speculation has arisen over what Sean "Diddy" Combs is eating in jail. Reports suggest he’s avoiding the meals provided by food services, fearing he could be poisoned. Former inmate Larry Levine suggests that Combs might be paranoid, but it’s not unreasonable to think someone could pay to have his food poisoned, potentially causing a heart attack. Correctional officers don’t earn much, and those implicated in the alleged videos have plenty of money. However, Levine also notes a simpler reason: many prisoners simply dislike the food when they first arrive. Ellen Greenberg, a 27-year-old first-grade teacher in Philadelphia, and her longtime boyfriend, Sam Goldberg, had just sent out "save the date" cards for their upcoming wedding. As a blizzard approached Philadelphia, her school dismissed early. At home with her fiancé, Sam left around 4:45 p.m. to work out at the apartment complex gym. Less than an hour later, when he returned, the door was locked from the inside. For over 20 minutes, Sam pounded on the door, texted, and called Ellen, but received no response. At 6:33 p.m., he broke down the door and found Ellen on the kitchen floor, stabbed 20 times in the chest, neck, and head. While on the phone with 911, Sam was instructed to perform CPR, but he told them a knife was still lodged in her chest. First responders arrived within minutes, and Ellen was pronounced dead at 6:40 p.m. Police launched an investigation. Initially, the medical examiner ruled Ellen's death a homicide, but after meeting with police, the ruling was changed to suicide. Since the medical examiner changed the manner of death, Ellen’s parents, Josh and Sandee Greenberg, have been fighting to have the ruling reversed. Polk County Sheriff's deputies respond to a 911 call from a home in Auburndale, Florida. Inside, they find 39-year-old Catherine Griffith lying face down with a kitchen knife in her neck. She is pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators begin canvassing the neighborhood to determine what led to Catherine's death. The case background begins when, after 20 years of marriage, Catherine Griffith leaves her husband, Charles Griffith. She alleges that Charles abused her and their two sons, Christopher and Collin, for years. Christopher, 20, no longer lives at home, but custody disputes arise over 13-year-old Collin, who goes to live with his father in Oklahoma. Catherine claims Charles cut off her contact with Collin after he begged her to rescue him, accusing her ex-husband of "holding Collin hostage" since he came out as gay. Charles, however, contends that Collin no longer wants contact with Catherine because she is "unstable" and that he restricted communication after Catherine sent Collin a photo of a handwritten suicide note. A judge rules that Collin will remain in Oklahoma with his father. Tensions escalate on Valentine’s Day when Collin calls 911 to report he shot and killed his father. He tells the operator his father attacked him and chased him with a knife through their home. When cornered in a bedroom, Collin says he grabbed a shotgun and shot Charles in self-defense. Investigators, unable to rule out self-defense based on the 911 call and home evidence, send Collin to live with his mother in Florida. Catherine's social media posts suggest she and Collin are happy together, as they travel to Washington D.C., take a Disney cruise, and celebrate Collin’s early graduation and his first car purchase. However, friends and family describe a more troubled relationship. Collin frequently argues with his mother and struggles with his mental health. On September 6, Collin leaves after a disagreement over household chores and goes to his grandmother's house. Despite several attempts to bring Collin home, Catherine confides in a neighbor about her exhaustion in dealing with her son. She texts that she has cleared out Collin’s room and will not allow him back without her permission. The neighbor also tries to convince Collin to return, but he ignores her. Catherine says she plans to meet Collin at his grandmother’s home the following day as a last-ditch effort to bring him back before he misses a probation meeting, warning that if he doesn't comply, law enforcement will intervene. It took over a year for Virginia police to make a second arrest in connection with the murders of Christine Banfield and Joseph Ryan. Juliana Peres Magalhães, the au pair caring for Banfield's daughter, faces second-degree murder charges, but only in Joseph Ryan's death. The person indicted in Christine Banfield’s killing is her husband, Brendan Banfield. He faces four counts of aggravated murder and one count of felony firearm use. That day, Banfield told 911 he shot a man who had stabbed his wife. Investigators say the killings were part of a larger scheme. Peres Magalhães and Brendan Banfield began a romantic relationship in the months leading up to the murders, and allegedly continued the affair afterward. On the day of the murders, Magalhães called 911 to report an emergency. She hung up during the first call, and more than 10 minutes later, she called again, with Brendan Banfield speaking to the dispatcher. He claimed he shot a man who had stabbed his wife. According to Peres Magalhães, they found Joseph Ryan holding a knife to Christine Banfield’s throat. She alleged Ryan stabbed Christine Banfield, and Brendan Banfield then shot Ryan. Magalhães also told authorities she fired one shot at Ryan with a second gun. Prosecutors and police say Brendan Banfield and Juliana Peres Magalhães had been having an affair for months before Christine Banfield and Joseph Ryan were killed. More allegations against Sean Diddy Combs emerging from Combs’ ex-girlfriend, the late Kim Porter. Porter's friends have leaked nearly 60 pages from the diary Porter kept during her relationship with Combs in a memoir. The author of Kim’s Lost Words claims the pages were provided by a friend of Porter’s, who also claims to have tapes Porter copied from Combs’ files depicting Combs having sex with a male teenage pop star. The diary pages reveal Combs hits Porter for the first time when she refuses to use a strap-on with him. Porter claims Combs hosts “parties” that are really just orgies, and “everyone wanted in.” Porter details finding Combs’ ‘vault’ full of video tapes of Combs’ encounters, many with young men, stars he had formerly managed at Bad Boy. What began as an investigation into the suicide of a popular high school athlete uncovered an international sextortion ring. On Twitter, Jordan Demay received a message from a user named Dani Roberts, who convinced him to send explicit photos. Moments later, the situation turned dark. "Dani Roberts" demanded money, threatening to send the photos to Jordan’s family and friends if he didn’t comply. Jordan sent all the money he had, but the demands continued. Six hours later, Jordan Demay took his own life. Days after Jordan’s death, his girlfriend received one of his explicit photos and went to the police. Marquette County Sheriff's detectives, working with the FBI, traced "Dani Roberts'" IP address to Nigeria. Three Nigerian men—Ezekiel Robert and brothers Samuel and Samson Ogoshi—were linked to Jordan’s case and over 100 other victims. Five U.S. citizens are now accused of facilitating the sextortion scams, handling payments from victims, and transferring the money to Nigeria. The cause of death for two Kansas mothers who went missing in early April has been revealed. Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelly disappeared while driving to pick up Butler’s children for a birthday party. Butler had been involved in a years-long custody battle with the children’s father, and Kelly was acting as a court-appointed supervised visitation agent. When the women missed the party and failed to return home as planned, Kelly’s pastor husband and a friend went looking for them. Just three miles from the women’s destination in Eva, Oklahoma, the men saw law enforcement surrounding Butler’s abandoned blue Kia on the side of the road. In a court filing, prosecutors revealed that both Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelly were stabbed to death. They allege the women were attacked just outside Butler’s car, and their bodies were transported 8 ½ miles away to a 10-foot-deep hole that had been dug the day before. The defendants reportedly stuffed Butler and Kelly’s bodies into a chest freezer, along with incriminating evidence, then lowered the freezer into the hole and refilled it. Police stated that the murders were meticulously planned by five suspects, with the ringleader reportedly being the paternal grandmother of Veronica Butler’s children. The suspects are identified as Tifany Adams, 54; Tad Cullum, 43; Cora Twombly, 44; Cole Twombly, 50; and Paul Grice, 31. Prosecutors now allege that Paul Grice stabbed Butler to death, injuring his hand in the process, while Tad Cullum stabbed Kelly. Investigators have not revealed whether the women were killed simultaneously or one after the other, but only one knife was recovered from the burial site. Accessories for the K-bar knife were found at Tad Cullum’s home. The court filing details the roles of the five defendants. Prosecutors claim Cole and Cora Twombly acted as lookouts and blocked the road, diverting the women to where Tad Cullum and Paul Grice were waiting. Cullum and Grice then stabbed each of the women to death and changed out of their bloody clothes. The bodies, weapons, and bloody clothes were placed in the chest freezer, which Grice transported to the hole Cullum had dug the day before. Cullum then buried the freezer and the evidence. The motive is believed to be related to the custody of the children. Sean Combs is back in the Metropolitan Detention Center after U.S. District Judge Andrew Carter denied his appeal of the remand order. Magistrate Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky initially denied bail for the rapper on Tuesday, stating that Combs posed a danger and quoting, "I don’t know that you can trust yourself not to harm people." In the appeal for monitored house arrest, Combs' attorney described the conditions at the Brooklyn facility as "horrific" and "not fit for pre-trial detention." The defense proposed that Combs live alone at his Florida home, monitored by a 24/7 security team. Combs offered to relinquish access to his cell phone and the internet. The defense also suggested travel restrictions, noting that Combs had already surrendered his passport to his attorneys months ago. His attorney also holds the passports of Combs' mother and dependent children. The proposed travel limits would confine Combs to the Southern District of New York and the Southern District of Florida, where he resides and has necessary medical appointments, details of which would be submitted under seal. Attorney Marc Agnifilo’s amended bail package proposed no communication with women outside of direct family members and the mothers of his children, as well as no contact with known grand jury witnesses, specifically referencing "Victim 1," Cassandra Ventura. The proposal also included the use of a private intelligence agency to monitor Combs 24/7, ensure he has no access to a cell phone or the internet, administer weekly drug tests, and maintain a daily visitors log. In the end, Judge Andrew Carter, Jr. agreed with Judge Robyn Tarnofsky, stating that "there is no condition or combination of conditions to ensure he will not obstruct justice or tamper with witnesses." Nine-year-old Asha Degree and her brother were sent to bed around 7 p.m., an hour earlier than usual, after the family home lost power. Their father, Harold, checked on them when he returned from work at midnight. When their mother, Iquilla, went to wake the children, Asha was gone. Iquilla and Harold searched their home frantically for her. Iquilla then knocked on a neighbor’s door and called Harold’s mother and sister. No one had seen Asha. Harold called 911 at 6:30 a.m. Police arrived 10 minutes later. By 8 a.m., nearly 100 volunteers were searching door-to-door and conducting grid searches. Authorities believe the 4th grader left home just before dawn. Witnesses saw Asha walking along Highway 18 in Shelby, North Carolina, a few miles from her home. A tipster reported that she may have gotten into a car. More than a year later, Asha's backpack, which she had packed with her favorite outfits, was found at a construction site 30 miles away. That was 24 years ago. The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office has now confirmed that a recent search at 621 Cherryville Road is connected to Asha Degree. Nearly 50 investigators from the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, the FBI's Evidence Response Team, and North Carolina SBI agents spent two days at the site with K9s. Several items of interest were seized for testing, including a green four-door sedan with rusted wheel wells, similar to the car the FBI had been seeking. Hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is behind bars and in court following his arrest late Monday in Manhattan. A federal grand jury indicted Combs on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. Damian Williams, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, stated at a press conference that prosecutors will seek to detain Combs without bail. Williams indicated that the investigation is ongoing, saying, "We are not done," and did not rule out additional charges against Combs or others. The search is over. Human remains found by a hunter have been identified as Elijah Vue. Two Rivers Police Chief Ben Miennert described the discovery of the 3-year-old’s body, saying, "The remains were found on private property by someone preparing his land for hunting season. The area was thickly wooded, with heavy underbrush, just north of Manitou. This location is just over three miles northwest of where he was originally reported missing." He added that the area had been searched multiple times by law enforcement, private searchers, the landowner, aerial teams, and various search and rescue teams. Attorneys for the two suspects in the murder of Jocelyn Nungaray are calling for a gag order in the case. Judge Josh Hill ultimately denied the request, but in court documents urged everyone involved to refrain from making extrajudicial comments on the case. The 12-year-old girl's family heard in harsh detail what happened to Jocelyn. Prosecutors say she fought like a superhero, fighting with her dying breath, leaving visible marks. Johan Jose Rangel Martinez and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, tie her hands behind her back, bind her feet, take off her shirt, and abuse her for hours under a bridge in north Houston. Even though the police and the prosecutor believe Jocelyn was raped before she was strangled, the suspects are not charged with sexual assault as the rape kit results are still pending. The Harris County District Attorney, Kim Ogg, says they believe the evidence is clear that a sexual assault likely took place, but the defendants are not admitting yet. However, if the lab tests confirm that 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was raped, the capital murder charge can be upgraded to one where they are death penalty eligible. In a dramatic court scene, a family member of Jocelyn Nungaray shouts "murderer" at Rangel-Martinez, while another shouts in Spanish, "I hope they kill your children." PhD student Nicole Virzi remains in custody on charges of homicide, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of children. While visiting friends in Pittsburgh, Virzi cared for 6-week-old twins to give the mother a break. Both boys ended up in the hospital, and one died. EMTs transported Leon Katz and his father to the hospital shortly before midnight, but Nicole Virzi did not stay long. She was seen returning to her Airbnb just before 1 a.m., struggling to unlock the door. By 5 a.m., Virzi appeared to be preparing to leave town. Security footage captured her making what seemed to be a hasty exit less than five hours later. Although she was booked for two more nights at the apartment, Virzi appeared to be leaving. She was seen on security video leaving the building at 5:45 a.m. She reached for her phone and made a call while standing on the sidewalk. At 5:47 a.m., Leon Katz was pronounced dead. A request by Bryan Kohberger's defense team for a change of venue has been granted. His attorneys argued that the strong emotions in the community and extensive media coverage would make it impossible to find an impartial jury in Moscow. The defense also claimed that if Kohberger were acquitted in the town where the murder took place, he could face lynching and riots might erupt. Prosecutors countered, saying any potential bias could be addressed by expanding the pool of potential jurors and carefully vetting them. However, Judge John Judge ruled in favor of the defense, citing concerns about Kohberger's ability to receive a fair trial in the Latah County courthouse in Moscow. He referenced the widespread media coverage and statements from public officials implying Kohberger’s guilt. Additionally, the judge noted practical concerns: the courthouse is too small to accommodate the case, and the county sheriff's office lacks the personnel to provide adequate security. The judge did not specify where the trial would be moved. The Idaho Supreme Court will decide where Kohberger's trial will be held. The father of the teen boy arrested in the mass shooting at a high school in Winder, Georgia, has also been arrested, held accountable for his son Colt Gray's actions. Colin Gray faces charges including four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second-degree murder, and eight counts of cruelty to children. These charges stem from allowing his son to possess a weapon. The FBI first investigated Colt Gray in May 2023 after receiving a tip about a school shooting threat via Discord, a gaming chat platform. Colin Gray told investigators he had been teaching his son about "firearms and safety" and how to hunt. He stated that if his son had made any threats, he "would be mad as hell and then all the guns would be taken away." Colt denied making threats. After the investigation, Colin Gray purchased his son an AR-15-style rifle as a gift. Fake German heiress Anna Sorokin conned her way into Manhattan society. Using the alias Anna Delvey, she swindled banks, hotels, and friends out of more than $200,000. She forged checks to obtain money from banks and charmed others into covering extravagant meals and travel expenses. Sorokin was convicted on multiple counts of grand larceny and theft of services. After serving her sentence, the 31-year-old was released from prison and is now fighting deportation. Despite this, Sorokin continues to find success. She secured a deal with Netflix for the rights to her life story and began selling her artwork. Eight unsealed warrants are giving new insights into the investigation of Sade Robinson’s murder. Newly released surveillance images show Sade meeting Anderson at the Twisted Fisherman for their date. The warrants also reveal police are reviewing employment records and surveillance from Victor’s nightclub. Anderson reportedly worked at Victor’s, a club that one of Sade’s coworkers says they frequented. Investigators are trying to determine how Sade met Maxwell Anderson. Also, a friend of Anderson’s is now working with law enforcement as a confidential informant. The CI tells investigators in early March, Anderson spoke of a plan to lure Sade Robinson to his home, then force her into the basement at gunpoint, where he would shoot her, then dismember her body and scatter the remains. The CI says Anderson showed him the basement, where Anderson had taped plastic paint protectors to the walls and floor. The CI says there were three saws in the prepped basement.
