DIDDY HO-HO-HO: COMBS' FIRST CHRISTMAS BEHIND BARS, JAY-Z PANIC

Another shocking revelation in the scandalous Sean Diddy Combs case, now officially including Jay-Z. In a civil lawsuit Sean "Diddy" Combs and Jay-Z stand accused of raping a teen girl at an afterparty for the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. The 13-year-old at the time, says she had been trying to get into the VMAs by standing outside of Radio City Music Hall and walking up to limousines that were bringing guests into the venue. It works as she is invited to an afterparty by a limo driver who claimed to work for Combs, he tells her she "fit what Diddy was looking for, he likes young girls Reportedly, the Jane Doe is handed a non-disclosure agreement to sign, and a drink she believes is spiked. In minutes she hears Diddy utter words she can still hear to this day. The plaintiff claims Combs approached her with a "crazed look in his eyes" telling her, "You are ready to party!”  She accuses Combs of throwing her toward a wall causing her to fall. She gets up , stumbling, Combs grabs her, throws her on the bed, then Jay-Z holds her down and vaginally rapes her while Cobs and another A-list celebrity watch.   The unnamed Jane Doe is seeking unspecified damages, and attorney Tony Buzbee previously announced that he was representing more than 100 people accusing Combs of misconduct.  Joining Nancy Grace today:  Joshua Ritter  -  Criminal Defense Attorney, Former Prosecutor,  Host of Courtroom Confidential on YouTube; website: joshuaritter.com; Twitter, Instagram & TikTok: @joshuaritteresq, YouTube: CRConfidential, Dr. Bethany Marshall -  Psychoanalyst, Author: "Deal Breaker," featured in hit show: "Paris in Love" on Peacock https://www.drbethanymarshall.com/ , Instagram & TikTok: drbethanymarshall, Twitter: @DrBethanyLive Robert Crispin - Private Investigator “Crispin Special Investigations”, Former Federal Task Force Officer for the United States Department of Justice, DEA and Miami Field Division. HEALTH-BOSS SHOOTING: IVY LEAGUE GRAD TURNED ALLEGED “ASSASSIN” CHARGED WITH MURDER

Just hours after Luigi Mangione was taken into custody in Pennsylvania, he faced a murder charge. The second-degree murder charge joined charges of forgery, carrying firearms without a license, tampering with records or identification, possessing instruments of crime, and providing false identification to law enforcement authorities. The initial charges were local to Pennsylvania. However, the NYPD also charged Mangione with possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a forged instrument, and criminal possession of a weapon. Mangione will be extradited to New York, but that transfer likely will not happen for several days. Mangione was arrested while sitting in the back of an Altoona McDonald's. He was wearing a mask, eating breakfast, and looking at his laptop when an employee suspected he was the subject of a manhunt out of New York. Altoona police arrived, and Mangione began to shake when officers asked him to lower his mask and confirm if he had been in New York recently. A search of Mangione revealed a ghost gun, a silencer, and multiple fake IDs. Officers arrested the 26-year-old on several charges but not for the murder of Brian Thomas. Mangione faces charges of forgery, carrying a firearm without a license, tampering with records or identification, possession of instruments of crime, and providing false identification to law enforcement. When asked if he needed a public defender, Mangione replied that he would "answer that at a future date.  JOINING NANCY GRACE TODAY:  Jason Oshins  - NY Defense Attorney Dr. Bethany Marshall – Psychoanalyst (Beverly Hills); X: @DrBethanyLive/ Instagram & TikTok: drbethanymarshall; Appearing in “Paris in Love” on Peacock; BOOK: “Deal Breaker: When to work on a relationship and when to walk away”  Tara Malek – Boise, ID, Attorney & Co-owner of Smith + Malek; Former State and Federal Prosecutor; Twitter: @smith_malek Sheryl McCollum  – Forensics Expert & Cold Case Investigative Research Institute Founder; Host of Podcast: “Zone 7;” X: @149Zone7 Joe Scott Morgan – Professor of Forensics: Jacksonville State University, Author, “Blood Beneath My Feet,” and Host: “Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan;” Twitter/X: @JoScottForensic Germania Rodriguez  – Chief US Reporter at Daily Mail (DailyMail has a podcast out now called “The Trial of Diddy”} Dave Mack  - Crime Online Investigative Reporter See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan: Bodies in the Medical School Basement

In the summer of 1989, a construction crew working in the basement of a building at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta stumbled across thousands of human bones. The acquisition and disposal of the remains has been kept secret. It happens again in 1994, a crew discovered an old well containing human remains while constructing a new medical sciences building on the campus of the Medical College of Virginia (MCV) at Virginia Commonwealth University. The well is called the Limb Pit. It happened one more time at Harvard in 1999. During renovations at Harvard’s Holden Chapel in 1999, a worker operating a mini bulldozer stumbled across human remains when his machine broke through a wall into an old well. Joseph Scott Morgan explains how it's possible to find human bones that have been hacked, cut with a saw, chisel, or knife, and then hidden so the law can't find them.....and it isn't a crime. Convicted Killer Susan Smith's Dancing With The Stars Dreams Dashed?

Thirty years after Susan Smith drove her car into a lake with her two sons strapped in their car seats, she sought parole. A parole board denied her request, and a suitor later revealed that Smith had dreamed of appearing on “Dancing with the Stars.” She is reportedly “devastated” that her bid for parole failed. After high school, Susan Leigh Vaughan married David Smith. They had two sons, but the marriage faltered despite the children. The couple separated multiple times. During one separation, Susan began dating Tom Findlay, the single son of a wealthy mill owner. Smith imagined a future with Findlay until she received a "Dear John" letter from him, stating he did not want an instant family. On the night of October 25, Susan Smith knocked on the door of a house near John D. Long Lake. Hysterical, she told the man who answered to call the police. She claimed an armed Black man had carjacked her at a red light, with her two boys—3-year-old Michael and 14-month-old Alex—still in the car. For days, Susan repeated increasingly inconsistent versions of the carjacking story. Eventually, Smith confessed. There had been no carjacker. Feeling desperate, alone, and suicidal, she had taken her sons for a drive. At John D. Long Lake, she put the car in neutral, jumped out, and watched as the car sank. Scuba divers later found the vehicle with the boys still strapped in their seats. Since her conviction and incarceration, tabloid reports have alleged that Smith told prison investigators about four sexual encounters with Lieutenant Houston Cagle, a supervisor at South Carolina’s Women’s Correctional Institution. C Cagle admitted to having sex with Smith and another inmate. In August 2000, he was charged with the offenses, pleaded guilty, and served three months in jail. Captain Alfred Rowe also pleaded guilty to having sex with Smith and received five years of probation. Over the years, several men have written to Smith, fueling her hopes for a life beyond prison. In March 2022, People Magazine published excerpts from letters Smith wrote to a long-distance boyfriend. In one letter, she wrote, "I can't wait to build a life with you, leave the past mistakes behind, and start fresh, just you and me." "BLACK SWAN" BALLERINA LOSES SELF-DEFENSE BID: SENTENCED 20 YEARS

Ballerina and aspiring model Ashley Benefield stood trial for shooting her then-husband, Doug Benefield, to death. After her self-defense claim failed, a court sentenced her to 20 years in prison. The couple married just 13 days after meeting. They had one child, but their relationship was tumultuous, with frequent arguments reported between Ashley and Doug. Ashley Benefield alleged that Doug was abusive and volatile. As her pregnancy progressed, she moved in with her mother, denying Doug access to information about the baby, including the child's birth. Ashley planned to move out. Doug arrived at Ashley's home with a U-Haul truck to help pack for a move to Maryland. He believed he would move with the family but intended to live in a separate home. Ashley claimed that Doug became angry while loading the truck, "body-checked" her twice, struck her hip with the corner of a box, and caused her head to hit a wall. Fearing for her safety, she ran to her bedroom and retrieved a gun. She alleged that Doug was standing in the doorway and lunged at her. Ashley fired the gun, hitting him twice—once in the leg and once in the chest. The chest wound caused lung damage and severe bleeding. Investigators determined that Doug was not directly facing Ashley at the time of the shooting. CLAIM: HAWAIIAN BEAUTY “MISSING AT LAX” GREEN CARD SCAM? MEXICAN CONDO HIDEOUT?

The FBI has been pulled into the Hannah Kobayashi missing persons case after it's been discovered that she may have engaged in an immigration marriage scam. Hannah Kobayashi is reportedly married, and her new husband was on the Los Angeles flight with her. She’s now listed as voluntarily missing. Police say Kobayashi indicated her intention to "disconnect from the world." McDonnell announce that investigators tracked Kobayashi to Mexico and have her on video walking into that country alone with her luggage on Nov. 12, four days after her arrival at LAX. It’s coming up on the one month mark since Hawaiian beauty Hannah Kobayashi went missing. The 30-year-old got on a flight along with her ex -boyfriend, headed on a bucket list trip to New York. She intended to visit an aunt in upstate New York and take photos at a DJ's show in Brooklyn. The pre-planned trip was non-refundable so Kobayashi and the ex agreed to fly together to New York and go their separate ways upon arrival. The flight arrives at Los Angeles International Airport 9:53 p.m. The connecting flight to JFK in New York was scheduled for 11:00 p.m. Kobayashi never made it to the connector, and the search was on. Kobayashi was seen in the next few hours at multiple sights around Los Angeles, then all communication stopped. A worried family reports the woman missing, and a wide scale search by police was launched. Joining Nancy Grace today: Gregory Morse - Partner at the law firm of King Morse, PLLC. SHOCK VIDEO: HEALTH BOSS GUNNED DOWN IN TARGETED ATTACK, SHOOTER’S FACE CAPTURED

At 6:46 a.m., patrol officers from the Midtown North Precinct responded to a 911 call about a person shot in front of the Hilton Hotel on Avenue of the Americas. At 6:48 a.m., officers arrived and found the victim, Brian Thompson, 50, CEO of United Healthcare, with gunshot wounds to his back and leg. A manhunt is underway for the shooter, who police say waited for Thompson to exit his hotel. According to investigators, the suspect arrived at the location on foot about five minutes before Thompson's arrival. Thompson was walking alone toward the Hilton after exiting his hotel across the street. The shooter, described as a light-skinned male, was wearing a light brown or cream-colored jacket, a black face mask, black-and-white sneakers, and a distinctive gray backpack. The suspect stepped onto the sidewalk from behind a car, ignored other pedestrians, approached Thompson from behind, and shot him in the back. The suspect then walked closer to the victim and continued shooting. Police believe the gun malfunctioned as the shooter cleared a jam and resumed firing. The suspect fled on foot northbound into an alleyway before getting onto an electric E-City bike and riding toward Central Park. Police have released several photos of the suspect, including a full-face image. At the scene, officers recovered three live 9mm rounds and three discharged 9mm shell casings with the words “Deny,” “Depose,” and “Defend” inscribed on them. HAWAIIAN BEAUTY MISSING @ LAX, DUMPS “MODERN” LIFE, IMPLODES FAMILY, IN TIJUANA?

In a surprising development, Hannah Kobayashi's family learned she crossed into Mexico on November 12 at 12:13 p.m., after no communication since November 11 and no sign of her since that date. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) investigators reviewed surveillance footage at the U.S.-Mexico border, which clearly shows the 30-year-old crossing on foot into Mexico. The footage reveals Kobayashi crossing alone, carrying luggage, with no indication she was accompanied. Investigators determined she had checked her bag through to New York but later requested it be sent to her at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Surveillance video from November 11 shows Kobayashi retrieving her luggage from the baggage carousel. Using video and still images, LAPD created a timeline of Kobayashi's movements in Los Angeles from November 8 to November 11. After collecting her luggage on November 11, she traveled through the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to Union Station, where she used her passport and cash to purchase a bus ticket to the border. The following morning, she took a bus to San Ysidro, California, and crossed the border into Mexico via a pedestrian tunnel. The LAPD stated they would not release the surveillance footage of Kobayashi crossing the border due to privacy concerns. A department spokesperson explained that as a private citizen who has not committed a crime, Kobayashi is entitled to privacy. LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell reiterated this, saying she "has a right to her privacy." Although Kobayashi's family has urged police to continue searching for her, the LAPD confirmed they are not investigating further. They stated Kobayashi has left the country voluntarily, is not suspected of a crime, and there is no evidence she is being trafficked. Her ex-boyfriend makes it to the connecting flight to JFK in New York, but Hannah does not. There isn't a lot of time between landing from Hawaii and catching the connecting flight to JFK, just over 60 minutes, and some believe she simply missed the connecting flight and will take the next available flight on Saturday. Her suitcase is on the plane to JFK. After missing her connecting flight to New York, Hannah Kobayashi remains at LAX Friday night into Saturday. On Saturday between 12 noon and 3 p.m. she is seen at "The Grove". According to Discover LA, The Grove is a World-Renowned Shopping, Dining, and entertainment destination. Located about 10 miles from LAX, Hannah Kobayashi sends a photo to her aunt at 2:43pm from Taschen Books where she is charging her phone. On the evening of Saturday, November 9, Hannah Kobayashi makes two payments via Venmo on November 9. One payment is made at 6:25pm to a woman named Veronica Alamendarez. The payment includes a description of a bow and arrow emoji. Less than one hour later at 7:19 pm, Kobayashi makes a Venmo payment to Jonathan Taylor. In the subject line of the second Venmo payment is the word "reading". Sunday November 10th, Hannah Kobayashi is back at The Grove in downtown Los Angeles and is seen on a video posted to YouTube at the LeBron James Trial Experience at the Nike Store. A photo of the event is posted on Kobayashi's Instagram account. Hannah had been texting with family members telling them she couldn't wait to get to New York, and it was a nightmare trying to get another flight. Hannah Kobayashi is keeping in regular contact with family and while she is frustrated about getting to New York there doesn't seem to be anything to worry about, until Monday, November 11 when a series of text messages to family and friends causes alarm. Kobayashi's mother sends her a text asking if she has made it to New York and Hannah responds "no". Then friends and family start getting messages from Kobayashi's phone saying someone has stolen her identity and all of her money. Concerned, family members try calling and texting but don't hear back from Hannah. Joining Nancy Grace today: Gregory Morse - Attorney, Partner at King Morse, PLLC. LIFE IN PRISON FOR SUSPECT IN BRUTAL MURDER OF MEMPHIS MOM ELIZA FLETCHER

The man charged in the brutal kidnapping, rape and murder of Tennessee teacher Eliza Fletcher changes his plea after prosecutors seek the death penalty. Cleotha Abston, 40, was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. Abston was sentenced to 80 years in a separate rape case. A sexual assault kit was submitted to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation two days after the alleged rape, but no request was made for expedited analysis. The kit sat for months in line with other cases waiting for testing. The kit was finally processed and once the initial report was completed, the information was then entered into the FBI DNA database on 29 August. A positive match came back three days after Fletcher was kidnapped. BOY, 7, DISAPPEARS FROM SCHOOL SCIENCE FAIR: WHERE'S KYRON?

Skyline Elementary School in northwest Portland Oregon is having their annual science fair so the school is opened about 30-minutes earlier than normal to allow parents and students to see the different projects created by the students. Arriving at Skyline just after 8 a.m., Kyron Horman and his stepmother, Terri Horman, go to his classroom and drop off his coat and backpack. Kyron then shows his stepmother his exhibit called "The Red-Eyed Tree Frog". The two walk around the classes looking at other students' projects and see many other parents and children who have arrived early for the science fair. Terri Horman volunteers her time helping Kryon's teacher, Kristina Porter, and Porter sees Kyron and Terri Horman in Kyron's classroom that morning and another teacher sees Kyron and Terri in another classroom before the 8:45 a.m. school bell rings As Terry Horman leaves the school, she sees Kyron walking down a hallway toward his classroom inside Skyline Elementary. Kyron has already placed his bookbag and coat in Miss Porter's classroom when he first arrived for the science fair. Miss Porter starts her class as like every day, then reading group, then recess, then lunch. Around 3pm the children, tired from a busy day, get on the bus to go home. Kyron Horman's father Kaine is at home getting his daughter ready to meet Kyron's bus after school. When Kyron doesn't get off the bus, Kaine Horman assumes there is confusion and Kyron is waiting to be picked up at school. The bus driver calls the school to see if Kyron is waiting to be picked up and finds out from the front office that Kyron has been marked absent, he hasn't been at school all day. Investigators build a timeline quickly as they search for Kryon Horman. The 7-year-old arrives at school with his stepmother, Terri Horman, around 8 a.m. for the Science Fair. Kyron and his stepmother see teachers and other parents touring the classes, and Terri Horman says goodbye to Kyron in the hallway that goes toward his classroom at 8:45 a.m. near the south entrance of the school. Investigators say Kyron is seen by one more person around 9 a.m. but they will not identify the individual. MORGAN NICK, 6, VANISHES FROM LITTLE LEAGUE GAME, NEVER SEEN AGAIN

Colleen Nick brings her 6-year-old daughter, Morgan, to a baseball game in Alma, Arkansas. At the field, two children ask Morgan to catch fireflies with them in a green space off the parking lot. As the game wraps up, the children Morgan was playing with return to the stands, but Morgan isn’t with them. They say Morgan's cleaning sand out of her shoes in the parking lot. Colleen goes to get Morgan around 10:45, but the 6-year-old is nowhere to be found. Alma PD and Crawford County Sheriffs assume Morgan just wandered off, but adult witnesses say they saw a man trying to talk to a little blonde girl—and his red truck left the parking lot shortly after they lost sight of her. Months later, Alma PD get several reports of attempted kidnappings with the same key detail: a red truck. During one attempt, a bystander manages to write down his license plate number. The driver is identified as Billy Jack Lincks, but he denies involvement in Morgan's disappearance. Years later, investigators decide to track down Lincks' truck. Inside, they find blonde hairs that are a DNA match to Colleen Nick, leading them to believe Morgan was once inside. Lincks died in prison on unrelated charges 5 years after Morgan's disappearance. Investigators are still searching for Morgan Nick, unsure if they will find a now 36-year-old woman, or a little girl’s remains. The FBI is asking for any information on Billy Lincks’ life. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the National Center for Missing and Exploited children at 1-800-THE-LOST. HEARTBREAKING REVEAL: MOM SAYS MISSING GIRL, 6, "EATEN BY WOLVES," WHERE'S OAKLEY?

Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Brad Johansson told the press, "We are hoping for the absolute best but, unfortunately, preparing for the worst." He was referring to 5-year-old Oakley Carlson, who is missing. Her parents have been arrested for not cooperating with investigators. Oakley Carlson was just 8 months old when foster parents Jamie-Jo and Eric Hiles took her in. Over the next two years, she became part of their family. However, during Thanksgiving, Washington's Department of Children, Youth, and Families reunited Oakley with her biological parents, Jordan Bowers and Andrew Carlson. Nine months later, Oakley was missing, but no one realized it immediately. After a fire at the home of Bowers and Carlson, Oakville Elementary School Principal Jessica Swift visited to bring supplies for the family. During her 45-minute visit, she did not see Oakley. When she asked about the child, Bowers and Carlson claimed Oakley was in her room. Later, Oakley's sister attended a sleepover at Swift's home. When Swift inquired about Oakley, the girl became upset and said, "Oakley is no more." Pressing further, Swift was told that Oakley had returned to her former foster parents. Concerned, Principal Swift contacted the Grays Harbor County Sheriff's Office to request a welfare check. Officers located the family in a hotel room, where they were staying due to the fire damage. Oakley was not with them. The parents provided inconsistent accounts of Oakley's whereabouts and eventually stopped cooperating. A search of their home revealed no signs that Oakley had lived there recently, as well as a bloody handprint on a wall in a downstairs hallway Joining Nancy Grace Today: Jamie Jo Hiles - Oakley Carlson's foster mom Jarrett Ferentino – Pennsylvania Attorney/Homicide Prosecutor; Facebook & Instagram: Jarrett Ferentino; Host: “True Crime Boss” Podcast Sheryl McCollum – Forensics Expert & Cold Case Investigative Research Institute Founder; Host of Podcast: “Zone 7;” X: @149Zone7 Dr. Carole Lieberman - Renowned Beverly Hills Psychiatrist {specializing in treating patients impacted by terrorism} Author: LIONS and TIGERS and TERRORISTS, OH MY! TOT BOY, 2, VANISHES FROM CAMPING TRIP: WHERE IS DEORR?

On a whim, parents Vernal Kunz and Jessica Mitchell decide to take their 2-year-old son, DeOrr, camping near Leadore, Idaho. Mitchell invites her grandfather, Robert Walton, and Walton's friend, Isaac Reinwand, to join them. The group arrives at the Timber Creek Campground after dark and sleeps in the next morning. Kunz, Mitchell, and DeOrr go into town for gas and groceries, returning to camp around 1 p.m. By that time, DeOrr should be settling in for a nap, but his parents decide to explore the campground. Reinwand is off fishing upstream, so Walton agrees to watch DeOrr while Mitchell and Kunz take a walk downstream. A few minutes later, Kunz returns to camp to show DeOrr a school of minnows. However, the toddler is nowhere to be found. Walton says DeOrr started following his parents on their walk, and he assumed they had him. After searching for several minutes, Mitchell and Kunz call 911. Investigators quickly rule out kidnapping, as the campers would have seen a car leaving the area, and focus on searching the Timber Creek Campground. Both Lemhi and Bonneville County sheriffs, along with hundreds of volunteers, search for days. Dive teams spend hours combing the creek near the campsite and Stone Reservoir, a shallow body of water feeding the creek. Foot searchers spread out over a three-mile radius, checking even animal dens, but find no sign of DeOrr. Susan Smith Leaves Her Children to Drown in a Lake, Now Wants Out of Jail

Thirty years after Susan Smith drove her car into a lake with her two sons still strapped in their car seats, she is seeking parole. After high school, Susan Leigh Vaughan married David Smith. They had two sons, but the children did not hold the marriage together. The Smiths separated multiple times. During one of these separations, Susan began dating Tom Findlay, the single son of a wealthy mill owner. Smith envisioned a future with Findlay until she received a "Dear John" letter from him. He explained he did not want an instant family. There had been no hijacker. Feeling desperate, alone, and suicidal, she had gone for a drive with her sons buckled in their car seats. At John D. Long Lake, she put the car in neutral, jumped out, and watched it sink. Scuba divers later found the vehicle with the boys still strapped in the back seats. Since her conviction and incarceration, tabloid reports have alleged that Smith told prison investigators about four sexual encounters with Lieutenant Houston Cagle, a supervisor at South Carolina’s Women’s Correctional Institution. C agle admitted to having sex with Smith and another inmate. In one letter, she wrote, "I can't wait to build a life with you, leave the past mistakes behind, and start fresh, just you and me." Judge Rules Against Gabby Petito Family in Moab Police Lawsuit

Gabby Petito was strangled by her then boyfriend Brian Laundrie while the pair were on a cross-country van trip. The FBI report states that Laundrie confesses to the murder in a hand written notebook, found near the remains of Laundrie's body after he committed suicide. According to the report, Laundrie tried to cover up Petito's death by using the woman's debit card, and then also sending text messages from her phone, to give the impression that Gabby was still alive. During the trip, a domestic violence episode was caught on Moab police body cam, after a 911 call came in reporting a man slapping a woman. The footage shows Petito was injured with scratches and bruises. Police determined however that Petito was the aggressor, after she admitted hitting Laundrie. The pair was separated for the night, with no domestic violence counseling. Petito's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Moab Police Department. Utah's 7th District Court Judge Don Torgerson dismissed the case, citing governmental immunity. Torgerson said he is bound to follow the law as it currently exists and follow rulings of other courts. The Petito's attorney argued to end just the police immunity. He added the Court of Appeals has the authority to determine whether the governmental immunity law is constitutional. DIDDY JAIL-CELL RAID: DEMANDS "DIG UP DIRT" ON VICTIMS

As part of an interagency contraband sweep at the MDC, agents confiscated 19 pages of notes from Sean Combs’ belongings and turned them over to federal prosecutors. The notes included inspirational quotes, reminders about family and financial matters, and a "To-Do List." The list instructed a family member to, quote, “find dirt” on two potential victims and, quote, “find everything” on another victim. Attorney Marc Agnifilo expressed shock and outrage upon learning prosecutors possessed the notes for weeks before notifying the defense. He accused prosecutors of a "complete institutional failure" and claimed Combs' constitutional rights were violated, as the notes contained privileged materials. The defense is now seeking dismissal of the indictment or recusal of the prosecution team. Prosecutors argued no wrongdoing occurred, stating the notes were reviewed by a "filter team" to ensure they contained no privileged information before prosecutors saw them. Federal agent Mary Slavik maintained her team acted “in a completely appropriate fashion” regarding the documents. Judge Subramanian called an emergency hearing on the matter. PREGNANT MOM, 25, MISSING, FAMILY'S DESPERATE PLEA: WHERE'S EMMA?

Heading into the ninth month of her pregnancy, Emma Baum finds out on October 4th that she is already dilated one centimeter. Six days later, knowing the baby will be here soon, Emma has her sister drive her to boyfriend, and father-to-be Antwon Butler's house in Gary, Indiana Thursday evening. Emma tells her sister she will see her tomorrow and goes inside. Friday, Emma Baum does not reach out to her family members even though they are expecting her to come home. After waiting all weekend, Emma's mother, Jamie Baum, calls Butler and asks to speak to Emma. Antwon Butler tells Jamie that Emma isn't there...he saw her leave with a girl in a car. However, Butler changes his story several times and family believes he is being less than truthful. The family reports Emma Baum missing and tell the police Antwon Butler was the last person to see Emma. As it happens, Antwon Butler has an outstanding warrant for failure to appear, so he is picked up and taken to jail on charges not related to his missing girlfriend. Weeks of searching for Emma have led to no results and the family of Emma Baum are at a loss for what to do next. Standing in front of Antwon Butler's house in Gary, Indiana, the family asks local tv crews to get the word out, begging for the safe return of the mom of three and her newborn. JUSTICE! LAKEN RILEY MURDER SUSPECT GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS

Jose Ibarra, the sole suspect in the murder of University of Georgia jogger Laken Riley, has been found guilty on all charges. The ten charges include three counts of felony murder, malice murder, kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with intent to rape, and “peeping Tom.” In emotional testimony, University of Georgia Police Sgt. Sophie Raboud detailed the final moments of Riley’s life, breaking down the timeline into minutes. Before her final jog, Riley texted her mother at 8:55 a.m., asking if she was free to talk. At 9:03 a.m., Riley called her mother. She then listened to music and was seen on a trail camera at 9:05 a.m., holding her iPhone in her left hand as she jogged toward the intramural fields. By 9:06 a.m., Riley ran out of the camera’s view. Minutes later, at 9:11 a.m., Riley activated the SOS function on her iPhone to call 911. The dispatcher was unable to speak with her before the call was disconnected. The dispatcher attempted to call back twice but received no answer. Riley’s phone later received a call from her mother at 9:24 a.m. When Riley failed to respond, her mother sent a text at 9:38 a.m. reading, “Call me when you can.” During closing arguments, State Prosecutor Shelia Ross outlined the evidence supporting each charge, describing Ibarra as “a monstrously guilty individual.” Defense attorney Kaitlyn Beck presented two alternative theories: that DNA was transferred onto clothes found in the apartment, implicating Ibarra’s brother Diego as the murderer, or that Ibarra may have been an accomplice but not the primary culprit. Ultimately, Superior Court Judge H. Patrick Haggard found Jose Ibarra guilty on all counts. DEAD EYES: LAKEN RILEY MURDER SUSPECT BLANK STARES AT BODY VIDEO, "SLEPT LIKE BABY" AFTER MURDER

Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old migrant from Venezuela, faces 10 charges, including malice murder, three counts of felony murder, kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with intent to rape, aggravated battery, obstruction of a person making an emergency call, tampering with evidence, and Peeping Tom. On the eve of jury selection for his murder trial, Ibarra waived his right to a jury trial during a pre-trial hearing and requested a bench trial. A judge will now hear the case and render a verdict instead of a jury. The presiding judge, Superior Court Judge Patrick Haggard, is known for his no-nonsense approach. Haggard has personal experience with violent crime, as his father, a salesman, was fatally shot during a gunfire exchange with two men attempting to rob him in a Georgia apartment complex in 1992. Special Prosecutor Sheila Ross alleges that Ibarra was "hunting for women" on the day of Laken Riley's murder. Ross stated that Riley fought fiercely against her attacker, leaving marks on Ibarra and securing his DNA under her fingernails. She highlighted video evidence allegedly showing Ibarra disposing of a black jacket in a dumpster. The same jacket, according to Ross, contained both Riley's and Ibarra's blood. Additionally, Ibarra is accused of leaving a fingerprint on Riley's iPhone while attempting to stop her from calling 911.
