Hours after Chris Watts made an emotional plea for help finding his missing wife and two young daughters, the Colorado man led police to their bodies hidden in oil tanks near where he worked. Now after being convicted for the three murders, Chris Watts has labeled his pregnant wife, Shanann, a “control freak,” and claims that he sought refuge with his mistress. He says Nichol Kessinger  was “everything my wife wasn’t like with me.” Watts confided to a jail mate that his marriage to Shanann was unhappy but Nichol was just everything my wife wasn’t like with me. In a new attempt to dismiss at least one charge against him, Sean "Diddy" Combs argues that the government is prosecuting him under a racist law. Count 3 of the federal indictment—transportation to engage in prostitution—stems from a violation of the Mann Act, previously called the White-Slave Law, which was passed in 1910 to prohibit the transportation of women for human trafficking. Combs’ attorneys claim there has never been a similar prosecution under the Mann Act and that he is being singled out as a powerful Black man. Combs’ attorneys argue that the statute has primarily been used to prosecute people of color, writing that the law has “a long and troubling history as a statute with racist origins, used to target Black men and supposedly protect White women from them,” and that “what was racist in its inception has often been racist in its operation.” They further claim that using escorts is "widely accepted in American culture today" and that Combs is being prosecuted for conduct that “regularly goes unpunished for White men.” In their latest filing, Combs’ defense states, “There has never been a similar RICO prosecution. No white person has ever been the target of a remotely similar case." However, Keith Raniere, the founder of the personal development company NXIVM—which served as a recruitment tool for the sex cult DOS—was convicted of both sex trafficking and racketeering just six years ago. Ghislaine Maxwell was also found guilty of violating the Mann Act even more recently. In other Diddy-related news, the Jane Doe who accused Sean Combs, Jay-Z, and the mysterious “Celebrity B” of watching and participating in her rape when she was 13 has dropped her lawsuit without an outside settlement. She dismissed the allegations with prejudice, meaning the case cannot be refiled. Luigi Mangione’s first public comments since pleading not guilty to murder comes in the form of an open letter shared on a new website dedicated to his legal defense. His legal  team says the website — luigimangioneinfo.com — was created to ”share case updates, “dispel information” and publish letters from Mangione while he’s incarcerated.  He writes “I am overwhelmed by — and grateful for — everyone who has written me to share their stories and express their support.”   Mangione’s legal team explain why the website was necessary. On the homepage they write.... “Due to the extraordinary volume of inquiries and outpouring of support, this site was created and is maintained by Luigi Mangione’s New York legal defense team to provide answers to frequently asked questions, accurate information about his cases, and dispel misinformation. “The intent is to share factual information regarding the unprecedented, multiple prosecutions against him.”  On the FAQ page of the website,  the defense teams ask that supporters limit the number of  items they send. Its pointed out that quote “Luigi is allowed to receive photos via Shutterfly and FreePrints in accordance with mail procedures”.  It contines “Luigi appreciates the photos that are sent and kindly asks that people send no more than five photos at a time. In his public statement , Mangione writes “While it is impossible for me to reply to most letters, please know that I read every one that I receive. Thank you again to everyone who took the time to write. I look forward to hearing more in the future.”   Luigi Mangione’s new website includes a link  to a GiveSendGo crowdfunding website. Supporters have been making donations in order to help pay Mangione’s legal fees. Recent reports of a missing child have many Muncie, Indiana residents asking, how does a little boy disappear without anyone realizing for nearly 5 years? Hayden Manis, now just a few months from his 10th birthday, was last seen in early 2020. The little boy believed to be living with his father, Dustin Manis, but a chance run in between two relatives reveals Manis has told several conflicting stories about Hayden’s whereabouts. Law enforcement now trying to recover from a years-long delay following the death of the main person of interest, Dad Dustin Manis.   Early September 2024, more than a year after Dustin’s last text to a family member, two of Hayden’s great-grandmothers run into each other at the grocery store and get to talking about Dustin and his son. One says Dustin told her DCS gave Dustin’s mom full custody in 2022..but the other had heard nothing about that. After some discussion, the extremely concerned family reaches out to both DCS and police, asking for a welfare check for Hayden.      Nearly 5 years after he’s last seen, now 9-year-old Hayden Manis is reported missing. While family last saw Hayden on Christmas Eve 2019, investigators say they have a verified sighting by someone other than his father on January 11, 2020.  Delaware County Sheriffs are desperate to locate Hayden Manis and are asking the public for help. Hayden has brown hair and blue eyes. The then 4-year-old was 3’4” and weighed roughly 50 pounds at the time of his disappearance, but would now be almost 10, his birthday coming up in May. James Craig and his wife Angela were married for over 20 years. They created a beautiful family of six, loving, happy family, happy children. Between work and taking care of their children, the Craigs still manage to fit a workout into their daily routine. The husband and wife go for a run or hit the gym together almost every day, and when they return home, James Craig makes protein shakes or fruit smoothies for breakfast while Angela delves into getting the kids ready for the day.    Angela complains of having a really nasty headache, along with problems focusing her eyesight.  She goes to the hospital saying she felt tingly and cold.   Doctors cannot figure out what's wrong with her.   Angela goes to the hospital multiple times, only to be sent home.  When she goes back for a third time, that's when she's checked in and her condition deteriorates, coding quickly.  Angela passes away.  One of Summer Brooks’ dental assistants recalls opening a package for Dr. Craig—that had potassium cyanide in it. She googles the symptoms of cyanide poisoning, and is horrified at how closely they match Angela’s symptoms. She immediately calls Craig’s partner, Ryan Redfearn, hoping he has some other explanation for the contents of the package...but he doesn’t. While visiting Angela, Redfearn tells a nurse about the cyanide, explaining there’s no medical use for the element in their practice. As a mandatory reporter, the nurse calls police.   With suspicions raised, Angela Craig is sent for an autopsy with additional toxicology screening. Tests reveal the otherwise healthy mom of six died of poisoning from both cyanide and tetrahydrozoline, a common ingredient in eyedrops. While investigators have no definitive evidence Angela’s food and drinks were poisoned with cyanide, the tests reveal her cyanide levels increased while she was in the hospital.    Police then check Craig's computer finding strange searches.  One of them was how to poison someone, how to make poison and top five or top 10 undetectable poisons that people won't be able to find after someone has died and will not signal foul play. Less than 24 hours after his wife’s death, dentist James Toliver Craig is arrested for Angela’s murder and additionally charged with tampering with evidence. A 52-page arrest affidavit details Craig’s concerning computer searches, three poison orders, an ongoing affair, and proof Craig took several measures to cover his tracks.    Police then learn the dentist  allegedly tried to hire his cellmate to kill Aurora PD’s lead detective Bobbi Jo Olson for $20,000. Calling Olson the “worst, dirtiest detective,” James Craig tried to recruit Nathaniel Harris to take her out for cash or free dental work. Olson wasn’t the only person on his list. "Up and Vanished" host Payne Lindsey joins the program to discuss the focus of "Up and Vanished: In The Midnight Sun" - The Disappearance of Florence Okpealuk.  Thirty-three-year-old Florence Okpealuk was last seen on West Beach in Nome, Alaska. When Blaire could not reach her sister, she posted on Facebook, asking if anyone had seen Florence, and began searching around town. Florence had not been to work or the grocery store, and neither her ex nor her friends had seen or heard from her. Blaire felt she had exhausted all leads when Naomi, a bartender at Board and Trade, messaged her. Naomi said she last saw Florence on her birthday, but a man at the bar claimed he saw Florence on West Beach with a miner the night she did not come home. Blaire and several family members canvassed West Beach, asking anyone willing to talk if they had seen Florence. Eventually, a man told Blaire he saw Florence leaving a nearby tent around 4 p.m. He asked Blaire to wait while he rummaged inside his tent, then returned with Florence’s socks, shoes, and jacket. Bewildered, Blaire asked where Florence was and why he had her belongings. The man became quiet but insisted he did not bring Florence to West Beach and claimed he found her belongings outside his tent. An older man in the neighboring tent offered a different account. He said he saw Florence with his neighbor the night before, riding down the beach on an ATV. The ATV did not return until the next morning, but his neighbor was the only rider. Blaire reported Florence missing at 6:15 p.m. that evening, two days after she last saw her sister. Payne Lindsey, host of the "Up and Vanished" podcast, traveled to Nome to investigate Florence’s disappearance. Lindsey contacted Naomi, the bartender from Board and Trade, who received a tip from a patron that Florence was last seen on West Beach. Naomi said the man who reportedly saw Florence worked as a freelance gold miner and also drove a taxi for Checkers Cabs. He lived in a tent on West Beach and was known locally as “Oregon John. Audrii Cunningham's body has been found along the Trinity River after water levels were lowered, allowing detectives access.   Don Steven McDougal, 42, led investigators to the location earlier in the investigation. McDougal has now been charged with capital murder.   Don Steven McDougal has been a person of interest since the first 24 hours of Audrii Cunningham's disappearance. He was arrested on an unrelated charge. In 2010, Don Steven McDougal was working in a local garage with Elic Bryan III. Bryan says McDougal seemed like an OK guy, until one night when McDougal had too much to drink and Bryan had to kick him out of his house. McDougal left, briefly, and came back with a knife, slashing tires and trying to stab Bryan.  Bryan had to get his gun to try to run a drunk McDougal off his property, but it took police with police dogs coming out to track him down and take McDougal to jail. Don Steven McDougal admits he was supposed to take Audrii Cunningham to the bus stop but he has yet to tell investigators if she made it to the bus stop or not. January, the Kansas City Chiefs play the Los Angeles Chargers.  Jordan Willis invites a couple of buddies to watch the game at his home. David Harrington, Ricky Johnson, and Clayton McGeeney arrive in time for the 3:25 p.m. CST time kickoff. After the game, Willis waves the guys off and crashes on the couch.  Later, he heads to bed. The next day, Willis says he didn't leave his home at all. That same day, the friends and family of David Harrington, Ricky Johnson, and Clayton McGeeney are concerned. The last they knew was that they were headed to Jordan Willis' house to watch the game but now, none of the guys, including Jordan Willis, are replying to messages on social media or by phone. Tuesday, January 9, 9:51 p.m.: Clayton McGeeney’s fiancée shows up at the Willis' home.  She sees the cars in the driveway and since nobody is answering the phone or replying to messages, She breaks into the home and screams Willis' name.  She walks through the house, then looks on the back porch and sees a body.  Clayton McGeeney's fiancée calls police. They find Willis in his underwear with an empty glass of wine in hand, according to the victims' families. The other two bodies were then found in the backyard. Sean “Diddy” Combs will spend a lonely Valentine’s Day in the MDC after filing his second defamation suit against NBC, receiving two new lawsuits alleging sexual assault, and prematurely accepting support from Kanye West, whose days-long meltdown on X has likely ended his career. Instead of breakfast in bed, Combs will eat cereal in the mess hall at 6 a.m., returning five hours later for a chicken patty sandwich or chickpea burger. Instead of champagne and caviar, he will have chili with whole wheat bread. Combs filed a $100 million lawsuit against NBC Universal, Peacock TV, and the production company Ample, alleging that their documentary, The Making of a Bad Boy, “assumes Combs’ guilt” and falsely labels him as “the embodiment of Lucifer.” Combs specifically objects to Al B. Sure’s insinuations that he was involved in the deaths of Kim Porter, Notorious B.I.G., Andre Harrell, and Heavy D, as well as Rodney Jones’ accusations that he sexually assaulted minors. His attorneys argue that the defamatory claims not only damaged his reputation but also jeopardized his right to a fair trial scheduled for three months from now. Kanye West showed his support for Combs by posting “FREE PUFF” on both his Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter. Bryan Kohberger’s attorneys say investigators found blood from an unknown man on a handrail in the victims' home and another person's DNA on a glove outside. Anne Taylor argues this could indicate Kohberger's lack of involvement in the crime. Although court filings acknowledged the unknown DNA samples last year, they did not disclose that at least two of the samples were from blood. During Kohberger’s last hearing, Taylor accused authorities of withholding information, saying police did not disclose the unidentified blood when obtaining a search warrant for Kohberger's arrest. She argues this omission should invalidate some evidence collected during the search because it was not properly authorized. Kohberger's attorneys also allege the FBI illegally obtained his DNA, violating the Fourth Amendment's protection against illegal searches and seizures. They argue that submitting Kohberger’s DNA to a public ancestry database was improper because law enforcement cannot legally use the site. The attorneys also claim that police did not submit two other blood samples from the scene to the FBI’s DNA database due to eligibility issues and failed to inform the magistrate judge about them. Wendy Williams, the former talk show host known for her catchphrase, “How you doin’?” has been under a court-ordered guardianship since 2022 after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. However, the star is disputing both her diagnoses and need for a guardian. Williams calls her life a prison and accuses her guardian of emotional abuse.   After a successful trial run of The Wendy Williams Show, the talk show is broadcast internationally and garners 2.4 million daily viewers. Williams trades off with Ellen DeGeneres as the number one female daytime television host for years. The daily show runs for 12 years straight while Williams starts her own reality TV production company with her manager, and husband, Kevin Hunter. Williams’ health issues become apparent in the later years of The Wendy Williams Show. Williams has always been open about her cocaine addiction in the 80s and 90s, which she overcame with no treatment. The host also diagnosed with Graves’ disease, which causes hyperthyroidism. In 2017, Williams passes out during a taping of the show, and in the following years fills months of several seasons with guest hosts due to struggles with her health issues.    In 2019, after 20 years of marriage, Wendy Williams files for divorce from her manager and husband, Kevin Hunter, after discovering he fathered a child with another woman. Williams does not take the betrayal well and begins drinking heavily. Just before the divorce, Williams reveals she’s been in rehab for some time. During the treatment, Williams is diagnosed with alcohol-induced brain damage. By 2021, doctors say Williams, 57, has alcohol-induced dementia.   January 2022, Williams’ bank freezes her accounts after documenting a “pattern of unusual and disturbing” financial events. Wells Fargo requests a New York Supreme Court hearing to determine if Williams is in need of a guardian. A judge determines Williams’ is incapable of making informed decisions and appoints a temporary financial guardian, Sabrina Morrissey. Williams attempts to return to work in late November with plans to release a podcast, but the show never airs and by March 2023, Williams virtually disappears from the public. The Feds expect to file additional charges against luxury real estate agents Tal and Oren Alexander, and their brother Alon, as the number of women accusing the siblings of rape climbs. The brothers plead not guilty at their first Manhattan court appearance, all three appearing in matching beige jumpsuits, slip on shoes, and handcuffs on their wrists and ankles. Prosecutor Elizabeth Espinosa informed the court that a superseding indictment in the works, will add new allegations against the three siblings.  While prosecutors previously alleged 40 victims, Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Espinosa now says the government has interviewed more than 60 people who have reported being sexually assaulted by at least one of the brothers. The settlement means that after 14 years, the  Philadelphia Medical Examiner's office will reopen and reinvestigate Greenberg's manner of death.  Ellen Greenberg was found stabbed 20 times in the head, back, neck and chest. Then her death was ruled a suicide. The attorney for the Greenberg's, Joseph Padraza, Jr says the settlement includes an agreement that the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an “expeditious” review of the manner of Greenberg’s 2011 death. The settlement is reached days after Doctor Marlon Osbourne, who conducted the autopsy, as the former assistant medical examiner with the ME's office, signed a sworn verification statement in which he says he now believes Ellen's manner of death should be designated as something other than suicide. Doctor Osbourne initially ruled Ellen Greenberg's death a homicide then changed the ruling to suicide. In a public statement, Doctor Marlon Osbourne said after reviewing additional information in the Ellen Greenberg case file obtained from the Philadelphia Police Department as well as a consult with Doctor Lucy Rorke-Adams, a pediatric neuropathologist, he decided to make the change. In his verification, Osbourne writes that he is now unsure of the series of events that happened that day. He also says he doesn't know "whether the door was forced open as reported; whether Ellen's body was moved by someone else inside the apartment with her at or near the time of her death, and the findings of Lindsey Emery, M.D., from her neuropathological evaluation of Ellen's cervical segment sample." Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly rushed to the hospital hours after prosecutors filed a superseding indictment in his federal racketeering case. The disgraced rap mogul is now accused of criminal activity spanning two decades and of sex trafficking two additional victims in addition to ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. Alongside the amended indictment, more alleged victims have come forward in lawsuits, claiming sexual assault at the hands of Combs. Combs was transported from the Metropolitan Detention Center to Brooklyn Hospital Center under the cover of darkness to avoid whispers and speculation from other inmates and prison staff. He underwent an MRI but did not require an overnight stay and was returned to prison a few hours later. The MRI was reportedly authorized because Combs has been complaining about an old knee injury. Diddy has faced knee problems for decades after running the 2003 New York Marathon. He injured his knee during the six weeks he trained for the marathon. Combs, accompanied by undercover officers, participated in the race as part of his fundraiser, “Diddy Runs the City,” which ultimately garnered $2 million for New York public schools and children suffering from HIV and AIDS. He finished in four hours and 15 minutes, achieving his goal of beating Oprah Winfrey, who previously completed the Marine Corps Marathon in four and a half hours. Ahead of his May trial, federal prosecutors have amended the indictment against Sean Diddy Combs. He still faces charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution, but two more women have been added to the last charge, referred to as Victims 2 and 3 throughout the document. According to the new filing, Combs “used force, threats of force, and coercion to cause victims, including but not limited to three female victims, to engage in commercial sex acts.” The superseding indictment is very similar to the original filed in September, but in addition to accusing Combs of trafficking more women, it also extends the time frame of his alleged racketeering conspiracy. Prosecutors initially accused the mogul of using ‘Combs Enterprises’ as a 'criminal organization' responsible for kidnapping and drug-related crimes as far back as 2008, but they now allege the illegal activity began four years earlier, indicating that Combs’ pattern of abuse has continued uninterrupted for two decades. The amended indictment expands the list of drugs that Combs and his associates are accused of distributing, which initially included cocaine, ketamine, and oxycodone. Methamphetamine and magic mushrooms have now been added to the list of substances. Combs is accused of encouraging women to engage in sex by plying them with substances, including ketamine and ecstasy, often without their knowledge or consent. Prosecutors also allege that he offered women money and promises to help advance their careers if they participated in his "Freak Offs." The superseding indictment includes allegations from fashion designer Bryana Bongolan, who claims that Diddy dangled her over the edge of a 17th-floor balcony. This is listed as just one example of how Combs allegedly used force to combat threats to his reputation. Just months after beating Cassie Ventura at the Intercontinental Hotel, Bongolan claims that an intoxicated Combs let himself into Ventura’s apartment looking for his girlfriend but only found Bongolan, who had spent the night there. Enraged, Diddy allegedly grabbed Bongolan by the armpits, dangled her off the edge of the balcony, and threatened to drop her until Ventura happened to arrive home and intervene. Police responded to a shooting in New Haven. When they arrived, they found Kevin Jiang shot to death in the street. About 100 feet away sat his Prius. Jiang had been shot multiple times. Officers initially considered the shooting a possible case of road rage. Surveillance video from a nearby home captured the sound of a car crash before Jiang’s Prius entered the frame, followed closely by a dark SUV. Jiang’s Prius came to a stop as the SUV reversed. Jiang exited his car and walked toward the SUV, stepping out of the frame. Seconds later, eight gunshots and a scream were heard. A witness told police she looked out her window after hearing the gunshots and saw the shooter standing over Jiang, who was already on the ground. The gunman fired additional shots at close range. Detectives at the scene noted stippling on Jiang’s face, indicating he had been shot at close range. New Haven homicide detective David Zaweski believed the evidence suggested something more than a random shooting or road rage. That same night, police in North Haven responded to a separate incident at Sims Metal Management, a scrapyard near a highway entrance. A security guard reported a dark SUV had driven through the yard and become stuck on snowy railroad tracks. Officer Jeffrey Mills arrived and identified the driver as Qinxuan Pan. Pan’s license came back clean. Mills didn’t notice anything suspicious but recalled a yellow jacket, a black briefcase, and a blue bag with a Massachusetts logo inside the SUV. Officers arranged for Pan to stay at a nearby hotel for the night. At 11 a.m., as Sgt. Mills was finishing his shift, an employee at Arby’s reported finding a bag containing a gun and bullets. Mills responded and recognized the yellow jacket, black briefcase, and blue bag from Pan’s car. Arby’s was next door to the Best Western where Pan had been dropped off. By then, Mills had learned about the New Haven homicide and the search for a dark-colored SUV. He checked the Best Western and confirmed Pan had checked in but never stayed. Mills alerted New Haven police. Tests later confirmed the .45-caliber handgun found at Arby’s matched the shell casings from Jiang’s murder scene. The SUV Pan abandoned on the railroad tracks remained at a tow facility. Investigators discovered it had been reported stolen from a car dealership in Malden, Massachusetts, where Pan lived. A dealership employee told police Pan had taken the vehicle for a test drive but never returned it. Now, New Haven police were investigating a homicide, Malden police were handling a stolen vehicle case, and North Haven police had recovered the stolen SUV and the suspected murder weapon. All agencies were searching for the one man connecting them—Qinxuan Pan. Lisa and Christopher Damron head into town for a job interview, leaving the children with their grandfather. Around 3:00 pm, their eldest daughter texts that Stefanie left the house and they can’t find her. She explains she got in an argument with Stefanie over which chores each of them would take, and Stefanie stormed off into the woods. This isn’t unusual for Stefanie, and the Damrons assume she will return before it starts to get dark.  While their parents are away, Stefanie gets in an argument with her sister over their chores and storms out the open front door, which her grandfather is trying to realign. Grandpa tries to stop Stefanie—but after noticing tears in her eyes, he lets the 13-year-old go, assuming she will return after cooling off. He sees Stephanie walk off into the woods and eventually goes back to his work.   When Stefanie still hasn’t returned an hour and a half later, the Damron's come home to search for her. Stefanie is extremely familiar with the woods near their home, and they check all her usual spots—but find no trace of the 13-year-old. The family doesn’t think Stefanie would have headed to the main road, but as they walk the half mile trail leading to the street, Grandpa and some of her siblings remember hearing some kind of vehicle pass by just a few minutes after Stefanie left.   As sunset approaches with no sign of Stefanie, the Damrons become increasingly concerned that Stefanie is no longer in the area. First, the white van. Prosecutors claimed a white van spooked Allen before he could rape the girls. Second, Ron Logan’s confession. Logan owned the property where Abby Williams and Libby German were killed. He lied to police about his alibi, gave reporters tours of the property, and pointed out where the girls were found. An FBI agent wrote that Logan’s physical build matched the “Bridge Guy” in the video taken from Libby’s phone, and his voice was “not inconsistent” with the person heard in the clip. Allen’s defense team claims Logan confessed to killing the girls while in prison on a probation violation. Third, Allen’s prison transfer. His attorneys argue that Carroll County Circuit Judge Benjamin Diener, who approved the search warrant for Allen’s home, helped Sheriff Leazenby draft the safekeeping order and should have recused himself. They claim Allen had the right for another judge to review and issue the safekeeping order and an “absolute right” to refuse transfer into state custody. Because the order was never served to Allen or his attorney, Brett Gibson, they were unable to challenge it. Allen’s lawyers argue the state violated his constitutional rights under the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments. Lastly, a reported connection involving a pair of headphones. At trial, defense expert Stacy Eldridge testified that someone appeared to have plugged headphones into Libby’s phone at 5:44 p.m. on February 13 and removed them at 10:32 p.m. the same day. This contradicted the state’s timeline. The state’s phone expert, ISP 1st Sgt. Chris Cecil, testified after conducting a Google search that dirt or water damage could have caused the logged activity. The defense argues they had no opportunity to counter this claim. Eldridge testified she was “unaware of any scientific or technological research suggesting that water or dirt damage to an iPhone 6s would cause the phone to inaccurately log wired headphones in or out.” Since the state never argued Allen returned to the crime scene, the defense claims that if a jury accepted Eldridge’s analysis, the state’s “narrative is impossible. A court has dismissed one of the original cases against the Alexander brothers, who are accused of multiple sexual assaults. Angelica Parker alleged that the brothers assaulted her and a friend after giving them ecstasy without their knowledge. A federal judge dismissed the case, ruling it was not filed within the time frame set by a New York state survivors' law. The law allowed claims to be filed from November 2022 to November 2023, but Parker's suit was filed in June 2024. She has until February 14 to file an amended complaint. The Alexander brothers are accused of using their wealth and influence to create opportunities to sexually assault women. More than 40 women have come forward with allegations, and investigators are urging others who believe they were assaulted to contact authorities. Attorneys for the brothers say they plan to plead not guilty. If convicted, they face life in prison. The three brothers—twins Oren and Alon Alexander and their older brother Tal—come from a high-profile real estate background. Tal and Oren brokered a $47 million deal for their father in 2012 and a $240 million Manhattan condo sale in 2019. Alon attended law school before joining the family's private security company, Kent Security. Each brother has been accused of forcible rape by at least 10 women. All three are indicted on federal sex trafficking charges, while Oren and Alon also face sexual battery charges in Florida. The Alexanders have denied the allegations in civil cases, with their representatives suggesting the accusers are attempting to extort them. Court documents detail accounts from alleged victims. "Victim-1" claims she was raped by Tal Alexander and other men in 2021 at a home in the Hamptons. She says she felt unwell after drinking a glass of wine, then recalled Tal holding her down as another man entered the room. She later woke up in a separate room, where a camcorder was set up. Another alleged victim, referred to as "Victim-2," told investigators that Oren raped her. She says Oren gave her a cocktail, after which she felt strange and struggled to walk. Alon then took her to a bedroom to lie down. She recalls waking up to find Oren in the room. Congress passes the Laken Riley Act and now, President Trump has signed it into law. It mandates that illegal immigrants accused of theft, burglary, assaulting a law enforcement officer, and any crime that causes death or serious bodily injury, must be detained until their trial. Jose Ibarra, the sole suspect in the murder of University of Georgia jogger Laken Riley,  found guilty on all charges. The ten charges include three counts of felony murder, malice murder, kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with intent to rape, and “peeping Tom.” In emotional testimony, University of Georgia Police Sgt. Sophie Raboud detailed the final moments of Riley’s life, breaking down the timeline into minutes. Before her final jog, Riley texted her mother at 8:55 a.m., asking if she was free to talk. At 9:03 a.m., Riley called her mother. She then listened to music and was seen on a trail camera at 9:05 a.m., holding her iPhone in her left hand as she jogged toward the intramural fields. By 9:06 a.m., Riley ran out of the camera’s view. Minutes later, at 9:11 a.m., Riley activated the SOS function on her iPhone to call 911. The dispatcher was unable to speak with her before the call was disconnected. The dispatcher attempted to call back twice but received no answer. Riley’s phone later received a call from her mother at 9:24 a.m. When Riley failed to respond, her mother sent a text at 9:38 a.m. reading, “Call me when you can.” During closing arguments, State Prosecutor Shelia Ross outlined the evidence supporting each charge, describing Ibarra as “a monstrously guilty individual.” Defense attorney Kaitlyn Beck presented two alternative theories: that DNA was transferred onto clothes found in the apartment, implicating Ibarra’s brother Diego as the murderer, or that Ibarra may have been an accomplice but not the primary culprit. Ultimately, Superior Court Judge H. While Sean Diddy Combs has been sued 42 times in just over a year, the disgraced mogul has just filed one of his own. Combs has logged a $50 million defamation lawsuit against grand jur witness Courtney Burgess and his lawyer Ariel Mitchell. Combs accuses Burgess of ‘pretending to have proof that Mr. Combs engaged in heinous acts, knowing no such proof exists,’ referring to sex tapes Burgess claims depict Combs sexually assaulting celebrities and minors.   Also named in Combs suit is Nexstar Media Inc., the parent company of News Nation, who first publicized Burgess’ claims to be in possession of 8 recordings of Sean Combs’ sexual assaults, and Kim Porter’s real memoir. The complaint alleges that the cable news network aired Burgess’ assertions to thousands of viewers without looking into their credibility. Combs’ claims the fallout from the ‘outrageous lies’ have led the public to view him as a “debauched ‘monster’ and a pedophile,” and has further tainted the potential jury pool for his upcoming criminal trial.   Burgess maintains that he is telling the truth about receiving a flash drive containing the video files and Porter’s manuscript through an intermediary. Burgess calling Diddy out for having the nerve to sue, when he will <quote> “rot in jail for what he’s done.” His lawyer, Ariell Mitchell, who claims to have seen the tapes, stands by Burgess, calling Combs’ suit a pathetic ploy to silence victims and those who stand up for them, and has plans to countersue. Sources close to Kim Porter say they had never heard of Burgess before his interviews and have reason to doubt his claims.  In another case, Ashley Parham discusses more disturbing details of her alleged gang rape at the hands of Diddy and his associates. Parham claims several men in Combs’ entourage held her down while Chief of Staff Kristina Khorram tried to insert an IUD into her. She says when the device failed, Combs’ flew into a rage and began violently raping her with a TV remote before forcing himself on her and encouraging his associates do the same.  Parham says she armed herself with a kitchen knife when she woke up alone after the attack and found Combs and the other men smoking in the backyard. Parham claims Combs’ was nonchalant when she confronted him, and in a fit of rage, she tried to stab the mogul, who begged for his life. Autumn Mercado’s coworker at the Huntsman Cancer Institute tells police she is worried something happened to Autumn. Mercado did not show up for work. The nurse reports that Autumn’s husband has a history of domestic violence and fears it may have escalated. West Jordan police officers respond to 7800 South and Iron Core Lane for a welfare check. Autumn’s husband, Carlos Mercado Jr., answers the door, visibly intoxicated, with alcohol on his breath. He appears relieved to see them, claiming he was just about to call. As officers follow him inside, they see a woman’s body covered with a blanket at the foot of the stairs. Mercado struggles to maintain his balance and slurs his speech. He tells officers he found Autumn about six hours earlier but did not realize she was dead. He says he assumed she was sleeping off the drinks they had the night before. Officers notice several open alcohol containers in the kitchen and living room. Mercado says he and Autumn drank heavily late into the night, and he fell asleep around 4 a.m. When he wakes at 8:40 a.m., he finds Autumn at the bottom of the stairs but cannot wake her. He tells police he believes she passed out from vertigo and fell. Instead of calling 911, he covers her with a blanket, orders a Lyft, and goes to a gas station for more beer, leaving their 1- and 4-year-old children home alone with their mother’s body.
