Intentional generosity fights the love of money

Daily Study: As we have learned, the love of money is serving money over God. One of the manifestations of this sin is trusting money over God, which causes us to hold onto or hoard money. One way to counteract this is to be intentional with your generosity. Acting intentionally will train you to be generous and directly fight the love of money from taking root in your heart. Faith does not care about inequalities

Daily Study: Many countries in our world have systematic inequalities where some people are held back and others are promoted based on race, gender, age, education, etc. This shouldn't be, but one day God dropped into my spirit that faith does not care about inequalities. The simple interpretation of this is that we succeed in life through our faith, regardless of any worldly inequalities. Financial prosperity is not through serving in church or working hard on a job

Bible Discussion: Many Christians serve faithfully in their church and are great employees, yet still struggle financially. This often stems from a misunderstanding of how God brings prosperity. Prosperity doesn't come from serving in church or working hard—it flows from the blessing, which is activated through the work of our hands. However, many people have their hands in other people's vision, not not in the work that could lead to their family's prosperity. Romans 14:14-23

Romans Series: Romans 14:14–23 teaches that while nothing is unclean in itself, if someone believes something is sinful, it becomes sinful for them. Paul urges believers not to let their personal freedoms in Christ cause others to stumble or fall into sin. Instead of insisting on their rights, they should act in love, pursuing peace and mutual edification. The kingdom of God is not about eating or drinking, but about righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, it's better to refrain from any behavior—such as eating meat or drinking wine—that might harm another believer's faith. Have the Supernatural Gifts Ceased?

Daily Study: Cessationists believe that the supernatural gifts of the Spirit ended with the completion of the Bible. They also argue that apostles and prophets were only needed to establish the early church. In contrast, continuationists maintain that the gifts of the Spirit remain active, and the Bible never indicates that only pastors, teachers, and evangelists would continue while prophets and apostles would cease. Let's explore both positions. Partner with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Connect with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com

Gifts of the Spirit Has limits

Daily Study: Each gift is meant to be helpful and serve a purpose within the body of Christ. While it is good to desire spiritual gifts, it is ultimately God who determines which gifts each person receives. The reference to speaking in tongues in Paul's writings pertains to its public expression, not the private prayer language used in personal devotion. How to make God-led decisions, not emotion-led decisions.

Open Forum: Pastor Amos led a rich and transparent open forum discussion where participants explored how to make decisions led by God rather than by emotion. Carron raised questions about discerning God's voice when emotions are high, prompting Pastor Amos to encourage taking time to calm down, ask what Jesus would do, and trust God's guidance even through potential missteps. The conversation expanded to include topics like biblical interpretation, counseling methods, and the role of peace and fear in decision-making. Pastor Amos distinguished between following peace and avoiding discomfort, and he urged caution in projecting personal biases onto scripture. Testimonies about healing, personal growth, and wrestling with traditional doctrines enriched the dialogue, with Rosalind sharing her evolving views on baptism, tongues, and modesty. Pastor Amos emphasized the value of understanding scripture in context and avoiding man-made doctrines that can lead to spiritual bondage. The Gifts of the Spirit

Bible Discussion: Pastor Amos lays a foundation for understanding the three categories of gifts God gives: ministry gifts, natural talents, and supernatural manifestations. He explains that supernatural gifts operate as the Spirit wills, natural skills are under the individual's control, and ministry gifts are divine appointments with specific anointings that can change over time. Drawing from Romans 12:6 and other New Testament scriptures, he clarifies that not everyone has all the gifts—only Jesus did—but that each believer is given gifts for the benefit of the body. Pastor Amos contrasts cessationist and continuationist views, asserting that the gifts are still active today because the "perfect" Paul referred to is a future time when Jesus returns. He emphasizes that all the ministry gifts—including Apostle and Prophet—are still needed, as the Church has not yet reached full maturity in Christ. Romans 14:1–13

Romans Series: Romans 14:1–13 teaches believers to avoid judging others over disputable matters of personal conviction, such as dietary choices or sacred days. Paul urges Christians to welcome those whose faith is weaker without arguing about what they think is right or wrong. Each person is accountable to God, not to others, and what matters most is living in a way that honors the Lord. Since all believers will one day stand before God's judgment seat, Paul emphasizes that we should stop criticizing one another and instead make sure we are not causing anyone else to stumble in their faith. Serving Produces a Happy Marriage

Bible Discussion: God's design for marriage is radically different from the world's. While the world says marriage is about personal happiness and teaches us to leave when our needs aren't met, God says marriage is about serving. According to the Bible, love is defined by submission, sacrifice, and selflessness—doing what your spouse desires, not because they've earned it, but because it honors God. Husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loves the church, and wives are called to serve and support their husbands like the Proverbs 31 woman—not based on fairness, but faithfulness. True marital joy flows from mutual service, not as a transaction but as a covenant. When both spouses seek to meet each other's needs without withholding or complaining, they create a marriage that glorifies God. Serving one another is not weakness; it is the fuel that produces a happy marriage. Partner with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Connect with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com

Sharing Your Sexual History with a Potential Spouse, Imbalance in How Women Are Addressed on Social Media, Transparency in Marriage, and Other Thought-Provoking Conversations

Open Forum: Pastor Amos introduced a new Faith in Action discipleship group starting in June and meeting on Mondays from 7:30–9 PM EST. He also announced a focus on building joyful marriages on Sundays, following his previous teachings on divorce and remarriage. The group engaged in a heartfelt discussion about navigating friendships affected by differing beliefs, especially concerning same-sex unions. Jovanna and Doyin shared personal experiences of strained relationships, while Pastor Amos encouraged maintaining biblical convictions without legitimizing sin, yet keeping the door open for reconciliation. The conversation shifted to social media, where Doyin and Tyesha raised concerns about the imbalance in addressing women's versus men's accountability. Pastor Amos explained his intentional strategy of alternating focus and how social media algorithms often favor controversial topics involving women. Transparency before marriage was emphasized, with Pastor Amos urging individuals to disclose their full past early in dating to prevent future marital issues. The emotional impact of past relationships on men was discussed, highlighting the need for open communication. The group also explored healing generational patterns, prayer and intimacy in dating, and the theology of marriage as a covenant. Disobedience cancels God's plan for your life

Daily Study: Even if God called us to do it, success is not automatic. If we are disobedient in the implementation steps, then success will stay far from us. The Authority of the Marriage Covenant

Bible Discussion: Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, requiring both spouses to die to self and become one. Just as covenants in Scripture required sacrifice to become effective, the marriage covenant requires both spouses to give up their independence, past lives, and bodily autonomy in service to one another. Violating this covenant—particularly through adultery or neglecting marital duties—brings spiritual consequences. Even when a marriage begins without God's direction, it must still be honored because God holds us accountable to the promises we make to our spouse. The authority of this covenant is why divorce is not an option and why faithfulness and sacrificial love are non-negotiable. As believers under the New Covenant, we are called back to God's original design: one man, one woman, for life. What Is the Purpose of Fasting? God's Will Is Simple, Marriage Is Not About Selfishness, and Other Interesting Conversations.

Nehemie and Stephanie raised questions about obedience, tithing, and giving, which Pastor Amos addressed by emphasizing listening to the Holy Spirit and giving from the heart. Are your prayers in line with the will of God for your life?

Reflection: In 1 John 5:14-15, John emphasizes the confidence we have in knowing that God hears and answers our prayers—when they align with His will. This means God is not obligated to respond to requests that go against His purpose for our lives. If we are asking for something outside His purpose, like chasing goals He never gave us, He's not even listening to that. He wants us to ask for what He's already placed in our hearts, because when we do, we are in agreement with His will—and He's ready to act. So if we are not seeing results, maybe it's because we've been asking for the wrong things. Study today what God is guiding you to study

Pastoral Chat: I'm not doing a traditional daily study. Instead, I want to share some thoughts about the purpose behind studying the Word every day. Daily study helps us think like God, and the more we think like Him, the better we handle life's situations—especially when we can relate them to things we've seen in scripture. When God called me to start Church for Entrepreneurs in 2014, the focus wasn't on teaching the mechanics of entrepreneurship, but on helping entrepreneurs grow their faith through the Bible. For the past 10 years, I've been podcasting daily, but as God expands CFE it's been harder to create new studies regularly. That's why I feel led in 2025 to build a digital library of nearly 400 past messages so you can study based on what God is prompting in your heart each day. Don't be shamed into not sowing to ministries

Believers who are weak in faith create unnecessary rules

Bible Discussion: We explore the contrast between weak and mature faith in the life of a believer, emphasizing that spiritual maturity is marked by freedom in Christ—not legalistic rule-keeping. A mature believer understands that salvation comes solely through Jesus' sacrifice, not through self-imposed regulations. While weaker believers often create rules to feel worthy or safe, mature believers trust the Holy Spirit to guide them into truth and righteousness, especially in morally complex areas like alcohol or sexuality. This discussion challenges us to examine where we may still be relying on rules over grace and to embrace a life led by love, not fear, trusting that true freedom in Christ produces purity, peace, and compassion—not condemnation. Here's what various church groups think about divorce and remarriage

Pastoral Chat: In this message, I explore whether it's possible to get remarried after divorce, looking at how different Christian traditions approach the topic. Some believe remarriage is only allowed if a former spouse has died, while others permit it in cases like adultery or abandonment. I personally lean toward the Eastern Orthodox view that marriage is sacred, but in a broken world, divorce and remarriage can sometimes be necessary. My heart is for reconciliation whenever possible, but I also believe God is compassionate and can lead someone into a new, healthy marriage. Divorce doesn't have to be a lifelong sentence of singleness—God redeems and restores. Partner with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com/partner Connect with Us: https://churchforentrepreneurs.com
