121007-1030-Loran Livingston - Christ In You

2012-10-07-1030 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning October 7th 2012 in the 10:30 service.Scripture: John 17:21; Romans 8:38-39Topic: VictoryNotes:- At the cross, God became one with sinners; proof that He loves sinners- At salvation, you become one with God, inseparable; He in you and you in Him- What is abiding? God will abide in you- Religion is man defining God; Jesus sets us free from religion so we can enjoy Him- Be perfect as the Father is perfect... David had a perfect heart... perfect is to continue, to walk in obedience; flaws, sins, stupidity are negated and finally removed- A person who mourns may just be sad; broken is more... humility, to get up and leave it behind, repair and forget it- The heart breaks in two ways... with sorrow, then with fresh hope- If Christ is in me, then my past cannot keep me from becoming what He requires- We do a lot of moaning; that is not the heart of God; get out there and do something- Don’t do anything from the standpoint of defeat but from victory; you are not trying to get victory; He has already given victory to you

I will not conquer it- One who is poor in spirit does not try to prove himself; we are nothing. Quit pretending and trying to impress. Recognize your flaws; you’re not fooling anyone.- Story of ice cream... same as any addiction, it controls you.- The poor in spirit are the least judgmental, compassionate.- Rest in your salvation; throw yourself at the mercy of the court- You get to heaven by trusting in the Lord with all your heart- Thief on cross, woman caught in adultery... no repentance but Jesus forgave- Woman who cried at Jesus feet and dried his feet with her hair... an approach to Jesus without pretense that cries “help me,” he never rejects- When you trust, you do not fear; there is no fear in love

Quit bring it up.- Enjoy right now. You’re not living on the edge, on probation. Don’t waste a moment. Every experience will never be duplicated- Nothing can separate you; you are the object of His faithfulness.

2012-08-19-1030 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning August 19th 2012 in the 10:30 service.Scripture: Matthew 9:9-13; Colossians 1:14-15; Ephesians 1:1-6Topic: EvangelismNotes:- Jesus came to be with sinners, outcasts, scorned & rejected who’d abandoned all hope- We can get to that place, feel we’ll never measure up, living with reckless abandon- We are among the sinners, but Jesus came to save sinners, not to build up people who are already built up in themselves- Realize you don’t have to fake it; you are who you are only because of what He has done; everybody knows you didn’t win all your battles today...- Christ is victorious in my life but I am still wrestling with sin- I didn’t deteriorate into this; this is humanity...- Ministry is right in front of us. If someone needs help, prayer, when you act like Jesus and sit down with sinners... wherever the needy are and God has put you there...- Holiness is what God imparts to you when Jesus comes into your life; practical holiness is what’s making us lose our minds.- It’s hypocritical when divorced Christians stomp on and rail at gays- We categorize sins... even the lie we told or the thought violates the holiness of God

2012-08-05-1030 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning August 12th 2012 in the 10:30 service. Scripture: John 20:19-23; 13:7 Topic: The Church Notes:- The church is the people... anyone who believes in Jesus- Jesus came to the Jews and was rejected; the Holy Spirit came to continue the work- The people Jesus chose as the foundation of the church were doubting people, not brilliant or dependable; the apostles were the foundation and Jesus the cornerstone- Righteousness is a gift from God that cannot be earned- You are saved by accepting the gift, not temporarily but eternally- Being filled with the spirit is not shouting, running and screaming... but peace... not animation... everyone reacts differently. He enables you to get up and keep going.- When others are trying to figure out where the feeling is, you can know where your faith is.- Learn to forgive or there will be no power in your prayer- When Jesus wasn’t with them, the disciples didn’t know what to do... they got discouraged as we do today... haven’t been to a good service in a while...- You don’t have to go anywhere in particular to find revival or power- We get discouraged by personal failure. The closer to God you move, the more aware of your sin you become- Jesus didn’t call them to fight for Him but to be faithful to Him- They forgot His teaching and the joy... joy is coming.

I owe him everything, though I cannot pay Him back- I died with Jesus and am a new creation; there is a life to be lived, without reservation- Rasputin taught that the more you sin, the more God’s grace will be upon you- You cannot live a life opposed to the righteousness of God and expect His blessing- We were buried and raised with Christ and should walk in the newness of life- Sanctification: the continuous operation of the Holy Spirit to make me holy- I should be more offended by the sin of this world; I should not get used to it- Jesus does not forgive sin, but sinners... makes me want to live a life worthy of Him- A believer prays, reads, and obeys scripture, loves and worships God, is truthful, goes to church, invests in eternal things- A believer does not abuse or live a lifestyle of lust- You are only saved if you put total trust in Christ; you are a new creation

2012-06-24-1030 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning June 24th 2012 in the 10:30 service Scripture: II Chronicles 7; Psalm 51:16-17; Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 13:15-16 Topic: Obedience Notes:- After prayer of dedication at Solomon’s temple fire consumed the offering and sacrifices and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.- When the glory fell, the priests could not enter... represent religion, a manmade device that becomes a substitute for a real relationship with a living God- When you pray the glory will fill you and religion cannot get in- Religion is as dangerous as sin. Prayer reignites a passion for God- When we pray, we don’t act out of obligation but generosity- Jesus became the last blood sacrifice, but we do offer sacrifices.- David, a man of God, came to repentance, was broken hearted, felt remorse- Sacrifice of a broken and contrite heart: not enough brokenness over sin today, too much tolerance- Sacrifice of my body: His house, the temple of the Holy Spirit. I cannot go on sinning, doing whatever my body wants- Sacrifice of Praise: we need to speak it. We go on trying to remedy someone else’s problem. Lay it on the altar and thank God. Don’t let it steal your joy- Sacrifice of doing good and sharing: God delights in this and is well pleased.

Life is about moving on... put those days behind- Man released from incarceration after false accusation of rape... ready to move on- You can’t get yesterday back; don’t live in bitterness; God is sovereign. Trust Him.- God orders my steps and my days but I determine the quality of life I have... I make the decision to be happy, to do good, to be a slave or free- Your happiness is not dependent on your health or how people treat you, but on how much faith you have in God- The power of forgiving and of asking forgiveness- Be kind to people and do good works, not venomous and biting, vengeful, sensitive- People are unpredictable, disloyal, moody, and inconsistent; I’m that way too. I’ll treat you the way I want you to treat me.- Armies of Israel came upon a carcass and stopped and looked at it; just walk around it- Move around what lies in your path; let nothing impede progress- 3 things happen when you’re in Christ: birth, death and resurrection- Forgive. Judge not: rarely do we have all the facts- If you are strict with people, God will be strict with you; if you’re willing to give somebody a second chance, you’ll get one also- Don’t stand still and try to straighten people out.
