Am I settled here?- I don’t need to worry about what I have, will get, or need. Jesus alone can satisfy- You don’t come to Christ so He will feed you, provide for or heal, but so He can save you, fill you up... He owns you and must be approached as savior.- When your mind and heart are in heaven, loss does not frighten you- The aroma of the sacrifice, of obedience, the priest spattered in blood... the priest’s blessing meant something because he waited and obeyed- When all we want is Jesus, we will begin to see real, identifiable blessings- There is a kingdom coming; we should be after His kingdom, not things for ourselves

He called us to lie down and die- There is nothing unclean of itself (tobacco)- Walk worthy of the calling; live a life that pleases Him and stop fighting- Walk with a perfect heart... in integrity... to please God in everything

121014-1030-Loran Livingston - An Unteachable Spirit

2012-10-14-1030 Pastor Loran Livingston is the speaker this morning October 14th 2012 in the 10:30 service.Scripture: John 14:21-25; Luke 22:31-33; Psalm 139:23-24Topic: BondageNotes:- Why do we think we’re ready to do great things for God? Peter thought so because he had been exposed to Jesus and what He did, but he did not understand Jesus’ mission- An unteachable spirit always resists what the Spirit teaches- There are only God’s ways and wicked ways; we don’t know who we are- I need a deeper walk, an unmistakable encounter- There is a resistance in all of us; we have not yet arrived- The marks of an unteachable spirit: 1) when I say “unteachable spirit” you look at somebody else 2) you always have an excuse for your failures (if it failed, God was not in it) 3) you’re always aggravated with God 4) I’ve lived right, paid my dues... where is He? When you let go and let God, things change ... if they haven’t changed then you haven’t let go 5) won’t take advice... one bad decision after another- You can love the Lord’s work and His people and still have an unteachable spirit- When you come through this, you can help somebody else- When there is conflict in a marriage, somebody is unteachable
