Ruled by the warrior planet Mars, it brings us the fiery, initiatory spark that begins the astrological year and represents the start of spring and of life itself. Mars, the planet of action, courage and conflict, shares rulership with the exaltation ruler, the Sun, the constant source of heat and light for us, the giver of life. This combination gives Aries a forceful, direct quality, one that initiates movement and seeks to express itself fully. A cardinal fire sign, Aries also offers masculine or yang energy, meaning it is outward-facing, fast, impulsive, intuitive, active, and focused on creating change in the external world. Its nature is pioneering, urgent, and restless. This is the sign of the trailblazer, the pioneer and the warrior, willing to step forward where others might hesitate. To explore and find the hard edges and extremes. We experienced two years of eclipses from 2023 to 2025 along the Aries-Libra axis, as we learned more about the opposition of our personal needs and those of others around us and how it fits into our astrological charts, and our lives. This is the first lunation which isn’t eclipsed since those years, our first chance to see more clearly and integrate those changes into our lives.The Nature of a Full MoonEvery Full Moon can be a moment of culmination, illumination or revelation. The Moon, bright and opposite the Sun, reflecting the fullest of the Sun’s light, symbolically reveals what has grown from the seeds sown at the New Moon 2 weeks ago (the Solar Eclipse in Virgo 21st September). It can also tie in with the previous New Moon in Aries, 6 months ago, the Solar Eclipse on 29th March, 2025.Astrologically, the Full Moon can often bring matters to a head. Symbolically, it is a time of clarity, confrontation, and release, and may not always be a comfortable time for this reason. Emotions often swell as lunar light reflects what we may have hidden, even, or especially, from ourselves. The Aries Full Moon asks us to witness our own desires, instincts, and willpower with raw honesty.Moon Families – A Story Arc Across TimeDietrich Pessin, in Lunar Shadows III, introduces their concept of Moon Families. Each lunation connects to others about nine months apart, forming a four-part story. This Full Moon belongs to the Moon Family that began with the fiery New Moon solar eclipse in Aries on 8 April 2024. The first quarter arrived on 6 January 2025 at 16° Aries, and now we meet the Full Moon on 7 October 2025. The final chapter will be told at the last quarter on 7 July 2026 at 15° Aries.For those with planets or angles within 12–22° of the Cardinal signs Aries, Libra, Cancer, or Capricorn, this is more likely to be impactful. Make a note of the dates, or check back in your journal or photos to see if the New Moon and first Quarter Moon dates tell you the first parts of the story. Themes that began around April 2024, perhaps with sudden clarity or disruption due to the eclipse, are now reaching visibility. Something seeded then is ripening, and you may be at a turning or pivot point. Once you reach July 2026, the consequences and integration will be clear as you prepare to release what you no longer wish to carry forwards. Also, those with prominent Mars and Sun, for example, as their Lord of the year or ruler of their Solar Return ascendant, or if you have planets or angles in the Fire trilogy at those degrees, Aries, Leo and Sagittarius may be able to indentify this story unfolding. Partial Solar Eclipse in Virgo: Legacy The Burning Question - The Virgo Solar Eclipse pulls multiple threads together into a single inquiry:What legacy of meaning and worth are you willing to carry forward—and what must you release, even if it breaks apart, to make space for it? We may be tempted to cling to roles, titles, or possessions, feeling they bring status or meaning to our lives. When we consider legacy, however, perhaps it is shaped by presence, integrity, and the daily devotion we weave into our lives. At this eclipse, we are asked to discern what endures, what must end, and how we might seize fleeting moments with both humility and joy.The sky darkens as the Moon appears to swallow the Sun. A dramatic moment, when it occurs during daylight, regarded with fear by generations before us who might not have had access to explanations of the phenomena and feared for a short while that the Sun’s light might never return. It reminds us of how significant the Sun’s light and its reliable quality are for us. A solar eclipse marks both an ending and a beginning, a doorway into unknown territory where the old light fails, old ways no longer support us, and a new vision must emerge. This last eclipse of 2025, and the second New Moon of September, are in Virgo, a sign that asks us to refine, discern, and dedicate ourselves to meaningful work.The eclipse might find you on the threshold of endings and inheritances, shadow and light and asks you to face what cannot last. Allow me to explore for you some of the astrological threads of the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Virgo, maybe we can even begin to weave some together by sharing and breathing life into them.We are offered karmic universal support to release habits, material possessions, overthinking or our quest for unattainable perfection as the Sun’s light disappears and is symbolically reborn. Has this thinking ever supported you, or has it harmed you and held you back? Where do you find your legacy? Maybe in your family and the memories and ways you have contributed to family life, your friends and wider circles, your work, your fortune, what you have built, or removed, or ways you have helped others? What is it for you, and what legacy would you choose if you could?What is a Solar Eclipse?A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Earth and the Sun, temporarily obscuring the Sun’s light. Symbolically, it marks a moment when conscious awareness (the Sun) is overshadowed by the unconscious and instinctive (the Moon). This eclipse belongs to Saros Series 154, a family of eclipses that repeats every 18 years and 11 days (and 8 hours!). This is the 7th event, since the inception of this series in 1917 or you could say we are in the seventh chapter of its unfolding story, linking us back to the eclipse of September 2007 and forward to October 2043. See more about this Saros Series further on.This eclipse is Partial, as it is relatively young, most Saros series continue for approximately 70+ events and 1200 to 1300 years. Eclipses reach Totality around the mid-point of the series. This eclipse still casts its long shadow, the seeds planted now will ripple forward in time, tied to themes of responsibility, endings, and legacy.Chris Brennan of The Astrology Podcast, who has conducted extensive research on eclipses, has found that they usher in great beginnings and great endings. A New Moon Solar Eclipse, marks an ending, and release at the same time as significant new beginnings being seeded in the Virgo part of our charts. Eclipse seasons can be intense, perhaps bringing accelerated change, pushing us toward decisive action, breakthroughs, or necessary closures. However, events may often be seemingly insignificant at first and grow into greater endings, creating room for significant beginnings over time. Symbolically, an Eclipse is a moment where something once visible is obscured, only to return with deeper insight once the shadow passes. Once the light returns, like a bridge being crossed into new land, you can never go back, you cannot unsee this new land that is different to what you knew before. Just like tectonic plates shifting, so slowly the movement can barely be measured, but with absolute finality once a division is made. Something may permanently shift within or around you. This eclipse is on the Virgo-Pisces axis, balancing themes of material reality vs. the unseen world and practical legacy vs. spiritual surrender.The Earthly, Analytical Wisdom of Virgo Virgo is ruled by Mercury, and Mercury is exalted here. Mercury, the Messenger planet who, after the Moon travels closest to Earth of the planets. Mercury travels faster and further than any other planet, reaching places that the others in their orbits simply cannot. This, and the frequent, regular retrogrades, are also why he is known to be able to travel easily across boundaries and borders between worlds. This eclipse in Pisces asks you the burning question: What invisible desire am I ready to make visible? To help you answer this, I will guide you through the astrological threads of what you might expect at this time, and how to weave them together, linking this Lunar Eclipse with both previous and future events in your life through Saros series and Moon Families. On 7 September 2025 at 18.08 UT, the Moon reaches full visibility and brightness at 15° Pisces before being plunged into sudden shadow, then darkness. This is not an ordinary Full Moon, but a total lunar eclipse, a Full Moon packing a punch. Eclipses can be catalysts for change, heralding karmic and important beginnings and endings and accelerating our storyline. This Pisces Eclipse is the second in a rare series of three Lunar eclipses in Pisces, a sign that has been drawing our attention as planets crossed the boundary this year, from Pisces to Aries, and then returned, creating a cosmic stitch in the sky. Saturn is the latest planet to perform this dance, returning across the border from the fire of Aries into the otherworldly, intuitive waters of mutable Pisces on 1 September. The series of three lunar eclipses we are experiencing in Pisces highlights a period which invites us into deeper spiritual reflection, surrender, and transformation. The Pisces-Virgo axis invites us to explore themes of service, spirituality, and the balance between the material and the ethereal. We are likely to explore questions and themes such as, How does being of service to others also reward and feed our soul? Are we so spiritual that we are detached from the material world, and if so, how can we ground ourselves in practical, earthly matters? How do our dreams impact on our waking life? What links between the two can you see in your life, and how would you like to see them develop and grow? Symbolically, within the zodiac year of the northern hemisphere, Pisces season comes at a time of the end of the winter, when the warmth and light of the Sun is beginning to take over from the darkness which is losing its grip. We start to enjoy longer days and look forward to Spring, but we are in transition. We must prepare for the final release of the end of the entire zodiac cycle, before we can be reborn anew with the rebirth that comes with the Spring Equinox as the sun enters Aries. It is a time to go within, reflect and release so we travel lightly into the new. The Moon is in Pisces, while the Sun is travelling through Virgo, the sign of the maiden who carries the scythe, reminding us of the loss of innocence and the need for the feminine to own her purpose and feminine powers, while being willing to cut away all that is inauthentic, or is outgrown, as the maiden prepares for harvest and symbolically to undergo the rite of passage of the transition into adulthood. As the Moon is eclipsed in Pisces, its connection with our Earth is temporarily interrupted. Like a computer being switched off and on again, there is a sense of a reset, a death and rebirth much greater than that we experience with the New Moons. Themes of surrender, introspection, and connection to the spiritual realm may be intensified. Pisces energy is often flowing and ethereal, visualise the ocean, sometimes still and sometimes with dramatic high waves crashing, making it more challenging to engage with the material world. This eclipse may stir deep emotional waters, disturbing the silt that is resting on the ocean floor, encouraging us to trust in the unseen and offering the opportunity to (re)connect with our higher, or deeper, selves.For the Pisces Eclipse, the symbolic turning Off and On again of the Moon’s reflective light, it could be that something hidden is being drawn up from the depths, from an old, or a new story, made visible under the shadowed light of the Moon as it is lit up and symbolically reborn after the light was extinguished. What will surface for you? What has been whispered through dreams, tides, and silences, waiting to come into form? What might be your own rite of passage?Pisces – Mutable Waters and Shifting TidesPisces is a feminine or yin water sign, making it receptive and inward focused, fluid and flowing in nature and deeply connected to the imaginal, and spiritual worlds. There is a sense of oneness with All That Is here, Its mutable nature makes it adaptable, porous, and gifts it an in-between, liminal quality, both able to dissolve boundaries and to move between realms of spirit and material. Think for a moment of a baby moving through the birth canal, an unstoppable force of creation bringing it from one form into another. The invisible being made visible, in the days before our access to scans. The process can be both confusing, scary, or painful, yet also beautiful and life-affirming. Here, under the shared decan rulership of the Sun and Mercury, every action, every stitch, every note, and every word becomes an offering to something greater than the self. There are no grand gestures, performances or instant rewards. It is quiet tending and nurturing, a time when the smallest, thoughtful acts become the golden thread that binds you to your purpose. Over time, that thread can be woven into a tapestry. I include some ritual, and reflection suggestions to help you align with and co-create with this Moon.The New Moon in Virgo I arrives on 23 August at 0°23’ Virgo (6:06 UT), offering us the first seeds of a story that will unfold, in its own, natural time, maybe in 2 weeks to the Pisces Full Moon, 6 Months to the next Virgo Full Moon, both also Lunar Eclipses carrying intense, unpredictable Lunar power, or over years in the Moon Family. This lunation sits in the very first degree of the sign, where Mercury is at the peak of their power, as ruler, exalted ruler, and bound ruler, and the Sun shares its light with Mercury as decan rulers. It is a meeting of the quicksilver mind and the sovereign heart, the craftsman and the king, calling us to exacting work done with humility and maybe duty. It is the greatest focus of Mercurial energy we find in the zodiac. In the Seasonal calendar, this is harvest season in the Northern Hemisphere, a time when the light begins to wane, the darkness is growing, and symbolically we begin to measure what has grown and assess if it can last us through the cold and dark months of winter. Join me to seek the stardust in this lunation and find how it can help you. Aquarius - Fixed Yang AirAquarius is often described as the sign of the outsider or the innovator, it is a sign of paradox. It is the fixed air sign, idealistic, mentally focused, and enduring, and yet its symbol is the Water Bearer. The bearer has one foot planted firmly on the earth, with one in the water, symbolising the ability of Aquarius to bridge the spiritual and material realms. Ruled by Saturn, the farthest out of the 7 traditional planets that Hellenistic Astrologers work with, also thought to be the closest to the Divine. Aquarius seeks to replace old structures with future focused innovation and long-term vision, always with one eye on the well being of the collective. It is also the place where the Sun is in exile and struggles, far from home. There is no concentration of power on one individual here, individual ego expression is challenged, progression and status is awarded on merit and achievement. Aquarius looks through the lens of the big picture, it needs to see the whole system, the collective trajectory, and the innovation needed to evolve. It is masculine or yang in quality, meaning that Aquarius directs its energy outward, seeking to change, invent, and reform the world around them. That change works best when it is built on Saturnine foundations of discipline and truth.Aquarius Full Moon FamilyFull Moons illuminate what was seeded either 2 weeks ago at the New Moon in Leo or six months ago at the New Moon in Aquarius, bringing the themes which have been growing with the Moon’s light to a visible peak. The Moon is opposite the Sun and fully illuminated by, and reflecting the Sun’s light. Symbolically, this shows how clarity and visibility of our concerns are also illuminated. It can be a tense time, many experience disruption or difficulty sleeping.Symbolically, this is a time of:* Culmination or fruition* Clarity, insight or realisation* Sometimes confrontation, crisis or releaseThey invite us to pause and see what has become of the seeds planted at the previous New Moon, maybe through ritual, journaling, reflection, drawing tarot cards for guidance, or just sit a moment and bathe in the light of the Moon.They also mark the third phase of a longer 27-month Moon family cycle, a concept developed by Dietrich Pessin in Lunar Shadows III. * This Full Moon is part of the Aquarius Moon family that began on 9 February 2024 at 20° Aquarius. * The First Quarter arrived on 9 November 2024 at 17° Aquarius, calling for action and testing our progress and direction. * This Full Moon at 16°59' now shows us clearly what has grown, and what still needs tending. * The final Last Quarter will come on 9 May 2026 at 19° Aquarius, when we must decide what to keep for the next cycle and what we are ready to release.For those with planets or angles within 14–22° of the fixed signs, Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, this is more likely to be impactful. Make a note of the dates, or check back in your journal or photos to see if the New Moon and first Quarter Moon dates tell you the first parts of the story. Do you see these planets as floating aimlessly around the Cosmos, or like many Astrologers, and Astro curious, when you take an Animistic view and understand them as divine beings who, when we reach out at the right time, will connect with us willingly, and maybe even, answer us in many wonderful ways. These beings describe the conditions of our soul and psyche, as well as our material circumstances and experiences of those around us. When they’re imbalanced or afflicted in the chart, they might manifest through a sense of stuckness, struggle, or distortion.Rather than “fix” the planet (a modern misconception), we work instead to connect with it, befriend it, uplift its nobler expressions, and give it the space, structure, and reverence it needs.This might include:* Wearing planetary colours or metals and jewellery* Gathering corresponding crystals, herbs or plants on an altar* Chanting hymns or prayers on planetary days, or playing your own music that you make sacred by keeping as devotion* Aligning your schedule to planetary hours* Making offerings, donations, or acts of service in line with planetary valuesHowever, remediation is more than ritual. It’s not loud or showy, but deeply committed to work that matters.The Capricorn sea goat symbol confirms this, it is sure-footed on cliffs, always moving upward and not deterred by barriers or challenges. The Cardinal nature reminds us that we have six months until Capricorn season arrives at a turning of the Wheel of the Year, a pivot point. For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere it marks the Winter Solstice, the shortest day, the peak of winter and a place where the light prepares to return, although darkness is dominant. Here, there may be decay and dormancy, but as the winter stores are used up, plans are made for future harvests to maximise the Spring and Summer months ahead when the light returns. For now, we are in Cancer season as the Sun transits through the opposite axis to Capricorn, but we are ever reminded of the turning of the wheel during the long. light days of summer. Capricorn invites us to build our future, with material evidence and structure rather than with dreams, talk or wishes. This moment of pause and illumination brings inner reflection so we can examine:What have we actually done? What enduring foundations and lasting structures have we built and how do we intend to continue construction? Where are we headed? Is that taking you where you want to go? If not, now is the time to make adjustments and release what you are being shown is leading you in the wrong direction. The Nature of Full Moons & How to Work with ThemFull Moons mark the moment of maximum light in the lunar cycle, the Sun fully illuminates the reflective Moon, revealing what was hidden at the time of the New Moon. This may not always be an easy or comfortable time, the Moon is a planet of darkness and the night, and we may have difficulty sleeping or see other manifestations around this time.Symbolically, this is a time of:* Culmination or fruition* Clarity, insight or realisation* Sometimes confrontation, crisis or releaseAstrologically, they are a moment to pause and see what has become of the seeds planted at the previous New Moon.But the story isn’t over at the Full Moon: it then unfolds in three key arcs:* Two-week cycle → from this Full Moon to the coming New Moon in Leo (24th July 2025): this is when we process, integrate and act on what has come to light.* Six-month cycle → until the next Capricorn New Moon (18th January 2026): a chance to realign long-term projects, adjust strategy, or continue building.* Nine Month cycle → until the next Last Quarter Moon at 20° Capricorn (see the Moon Family below)When we ask our overarching question, the Full Moon answers by showing us what’s visible now.The next two weeks are for short-term adjustments, usually releasing what isn’t working as the moon wanes. Cancer is a water sign, traditionally ruled by the Moon, with Jupiter as its exaltation ruler. As a cardinal sign, Cancer initiates and acts, but unlike the other Cardinal signs, Aries where assertion comes from action or Libra, where negotiation comes from diplomacy and compromise, action in Cancer comes from emotional knowing. Cancer - The Watery Lunar CrabCancer is feminine in gender, yin and deeply responsive. Its modality is Cardinal and its element is Water. Cancer energy seeks connection and safety. It moves carefully and thoughtfully through intuition and empathy. Its leadership comes through protection and care, like a motherly hand instinctively reaching to soothe.The symbol of Cancer is the Crab. We know that the crab is soft and vulnerable on the inside, shielded by a strong outer shell. The Crab teaches us about emotional self-protection. It carries its home on its back, reminding us that safety isn’t always external, showing us how it must be portable, internal, needing resilience as it is self created through emotional regulation and self-trust. The sideways movement of the crab reflects how Cancer approaches life: not in direct confrontations, but through intuition, circling, sensing, and choosing when to move forward or retreat back to the sandy, dark depths. The Crab reminds us that it’s okay to protect our soft places, and that nurturing doesn’t require exposure, only presence.As a water sign, Cancer speaks the language of feelings, security and emotions. Water holds memory, dissolves barriers, and moves through unseen channels. Its nature is receptive and enveloping, sometimes nourishing, other times overwhelming. In Cancer, water gathers around the hearth and home, family, roots, and belonging. But like the tides it governs, this sign is never still. Its emotional tone is shaped by the Moon, the ruler of Cancer, which shifts signs every two to three days. This lunar rulership gives Cancer its deep sensitivity but also its changeability. The Moon can signify our Fortune, how we need to be nurtured and how our safety needs are met.The Moon is the fastest-moving body in traditional astrology, and as ruler of Cancer, this swift motion can have a destabilising effect. Lunar time is cyclical, not linear. It guides, (or pulls) us through phases, moods, and tides before we can fully anchor into the sense of where we were. With this Gemini New Moon, we are invited to unleash our imagination and indulge natural curiosity exploring the realms of communication, learning, and connection. Gemini, ruled by the dual-natured messenger planet Mercury, is an air sign known for its intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and social nature. This is a time supporting you to make new connections and just like Alice in Wonderland, enjoy the experience of all the new rabbit holes and enchanting characters that may show up. The Mutable Mind: Gemini's ElementGemini is ruled by Mercury, planet of communication, perception, and translation. As an air sign, Gemini thrives in the realm of ideas, connections, language, and pattern recognition. This is a masculine or yang sign which means it is associated with activity, movement, externalisation, initiation and that things may move fast here. It has a mutable or double bodied modality, after all, this is the sign of The Twins, this offers adaptability, curiosity, and the desire to explore all sides of a situation before choosing a path. 12 May 2025 - Full Moon 22° Scorpio III – The Transformation Decan* Co-rulers: Venus and Moon* Element: Water (Fixed)* Tarot: 7 of Cups* Wild Way Oracle: Transformation* Keywords: Unfulfilled Desires, Loss and Decay, DecompositionAllow me to explore for you some of the astrological threads of the Full Moon in Scorpio on 12th May, maybe we can even begin to weave some together by sharing and breathing life into them.This is a Full Moon that plunges us into deep, dark and still waters and shines a reflective light on the secrets held within. The Moon is in its fall here, a place of emotional intensity, secrecy, and desire. In the fixed, yin or feminine water sign of Scorpio, the Moon navigates shadowy terrain, where feelings run deep and transformation arises through cycles of death and rebirth. Picture dark caves or maybe you prefer hot springs, the secrets held within murky swamp water, the soggy ashes after the fire. This is the spirit realm of the serpent, the compost heap, the scorpion and the phoenix. It is ruled by Mars, but here we are offered a battle weary side of the dusty warrior planet. This is the watery moat trench, or the hot bath easing aching muscles, where reflection allows old identities to dissolve and obsessions to rot into fertile soil.Fixed, Feminine Water: Scorpio ContainerScorpio is a fixed water sign, deeply yin, still, and subterranean. This is water that doesn’t move quickly, it stews, it seeps, it remembers. The fixed quality gives it endurance, the feminine nature gives it receptivity, and the Mars rulership gives it resolve and the ability to transform. These waters do not flow around obstacles, they are more likely to dissolve them. They hold grief, passion, memory, and metamorphosis.When the Moon is full here, emotions can crest with intensity. The past rises unbidden. Secrets resurface. Scorpio teaches us how to contain power, hold pain with dignity, and alchemise endings into thresholds.The Scorpio Full Moon is placed in Decan III, a place of emotional saturation, longing, and profound letting go. Allow me to pull on the Astrological threads and maybe weave some of them together for the April 13th Full Moon in Libra at 23°19'.Have you been feeling pulled in opposite directions lately? The Full Moon in Libra amplifies tensions between your need for balance and external pressures demanding immediate action. This Full Moon arrives as we leave eclipse season, like the final chapter of a story that began with the Libra Aries Eclipses in 2023 to 2025. Picture yourself on a balance beam, one side pulling toward harmony, the other toward decisive action. If you have been working on healing relationships or addressing justice issues since the Libra eclipses began, this lunation may be a revealing checkpoint, a culmination or clarification of where your focus is needed. Allow the moonlight to illuminate your progress, showing you exactly where you stand in your journey toward equilibrium.Legacy of the Libra Eclipse CycleAs the first lunation moving us past eclipse season, also the first Libra Moon since the Libra eclipses concluded, this Libra Full Moon echoes a culmination of themes seeded during the previous Libra eclipses in 2023–2024, before the nodal axis shifted to Pisces-Virgo. Though that eclipse window has now closed, this Full Moon may bring to light the realisations, decisions, and emotional reckonings from that time, offering an opportunity for synthesis and understanding as events mature.On October 2, 2024, a New Moon Solar Eclipse at 10° Libra began a new cycle of growth around identity in relationship, balance, and self-other dynamics. This Full Moon at 23° Libra may bring closure, illumination or resolution to what began around that time. What contracts, either literal or metaphorical could have run their course? Are there any patterns of accommodation or avoidance now ready to be laid to rest?The wisdom of the decan of Libra III is that the peace we seek cannot be found externally, it must be cultivated inwardly. The world may spin, but we are invited to find our centre and rest in the eye of the storm.Libra Cardinal, Air and YangLibra's cardinal air nature brings action and intellectual clarity with this lunation. This focuses on thinking our way to new understanding, particularly regarding our connections with others and our sense of fairness in the world. The timing holds special potency as we move deeper into spring in the Northern Hemisphere (or autumn in the Southern). Occurring at this point in the wheel of the year, this lunation mirrors natural cycles. Just as spring brings renewal and new life to dormant fields, we are asked how we might rejuvenate and bring new life into our relationships. Southern Hemisphere dwellers, witnessing nature prepare for rest, are invited to consider what must be released to restore balance. The revelatory nature of this Full Moon may feel unsettling. Like stepping into a brightly lit room after being in dim light, the sudden illumination may feel jarring. You might see relationship patterns with crystal clarity – patterns developing over the past two years but only now fully visible. This is even more possible than with any other Full Moon as ruler, Venus, stations direct from her 40 day retrograde within less than an hour of the exact Full Moon. Stations tend to carry intensity of the planets significations and can also clarify what the retrograde has signified for us. This isn't always comfortable, but it's helpful to recognise what the Universe is signalling to you for growth. You might recognise where you've sacrificed too much in the name of keeping peace, or where you've been rigid when flexibility was needed. Libra energy asks not for perfect balance but for continuous recalibration that keeps us centred amid life's fluctuations.Venus, the planet of peace and harmony rules Libra, while Saturn, the Lord of Time is in exaltation, a combination speaking to both pleasure and responsibility in our connections. This Full Moon illuminates where we've sought harmony but maybe haven't fully achieved it, showing us the gap between ideals and reality. We can ask ourselves: what adjustments are needed now?Look back over the past two years to trace your balance-seeking journey. What relationship themes have recurred? Where have you established more equitable connections? What still feels out of alignment? The answers are uniquely yours, but the light of the Full Moon is asking you to pay attention to them.Libra Moon FamilyThis Full Moon illuminates themes you've been working with since 2023. The lunar light shines on Libra-ruled areas of your life, bringing themes related to relationships, justice, harmony, and balance that have undergone shifts and karmic transformation during the eclipse cycle. This culmination point can bring to light what’s been gestating in the shadows of your consciousness. Allow me to explore for you some of the astrological threads of the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Aries, maybe we can even begin to weave some together by sharing and breathing life into them.Ever felt a jolt of bold energy battling deep uncertainty? This is the kind of tension created by the Aries Eclipse, where Mercury retrograde combines with wounded Healer Chiron to produce a cosmic push-pull many could find challenging. Ruler of the Eclipse, Mars the planet of action is still pondering its shadow in Cancer as it retraces its retrograde steps and reflecting on who, what and why it is called to action. The solution isn't ignoring either impulse but understanding this final eclipse in the current series. Bernadette Brady classifies this Saros 149 cycle as bringing "sudden physical events" requiring action with "an ever watchful eye to safety." I'll share how to navigate this energy with a ritual for the "Go Boldly" nature of Aries. This eclipse at 9 degrees Aries completes a significant astrological chapter, the conclusion of Eclipses on the Aries Libra axis which began 2 years ago on 20 April 2023. The North Node has already moved on into Pisces so this is classed as an Out of Sign or Hybrid Eclipse. This final Aries eclipse closes that chapter for us with a potent blend of fiery initiative that needs expression while reminding us of our vulnerabilities and increasing our awareness of our wounds around taking action.A partial solar eclipse is formed when the Sun and Moon meet close to the lunar nodes. This one occurs at the very beginning of the zodiac wheel, where energy is at its most potent. Aries stands as the gateway to the zodiac, the first spark of creation. The Sun’s Ingress into Aries marks the Spring Equinox, symbolically a time when we welcome the return of the light, which has triumphed over the dark, long days of Autumn and Winter. As a cardinal fire sign, Aries demands action with an urgency unmatched by other signs. When an eclipse occurs here, the intensity of energy is high. The natural inclination toward beginnings, self-expression, and identity assertion becomes supercharged through the eclipse portal. Chris Brennan in The Astrology Podcast talks about Eclipses as times of Accelerated Change with Great Beginnings and Great Endings. What makes this eclipse energy fundamentally different from those in other signs is its unfiltered directness. An Aries eclipse has the potential to cut through uncertainty with the precision of a blade, Mars as the Warrior planet carries the Sword of the Cosmos. Ruler Mars pushes forward with a singular focus. During eclipse season, this Martian influence amplifies, creating moments where confrontations can offer opportunities which become necessary for growth. The warrior planet may have a directness that feels uncomfortable yet ultimately liberating, especially when breaking free from situations that we should have outgrown and left behind, but continue to cling to. This eclipse also carries significance because the Sun is in its exaltation in Aries. In astrological terms, the Sun's qualities—visibility, vitality, leadership and creative expression, reach their highest potential in this sign. In Leo, the Sun has the duties of a planet in domicile to attend to, but here it is an exalted guest, offered every consideration. When a solar eclipse occurs where the Sun is exalted, the transformative power magnifies, creating an alignment well suited for dramatic new chapters and bold declarations of purpose. Notably, this eclipse represents the culmination of a pattern—the final in a series of six consecutive new moons occurring at 9 degrees since November 1, 2024. This placement at 9 degrees in the first decan of Aries suggests completion before a fresh cycle begins.
