How The Daily Mobster was made, Every "TDM" frame is crafted in a custom pipeline with Maya & RedShift, while Photoshop is used for graphics and InDesign for final layout. All the characters are hand-keyed by both of us, as if we were directing them in a stage play. We then light every scene, as if we were on a real film set, to capture timeless moments in the story. Anamorphic framing, depth of field, barrel distortion and grain give the nostalgic feel of 1920s film. And then finally, the graphical elements and textures are added to offer a deeper dive into backstory, characters and plot. Born with hemophilia, Morgan grew up being told all the things he couldn't do. But inspired by endless hours of television and too many comics to count, Morgan found purpose in the power of storytelling. He is now an award-winning professional writer. In comics, he is a member of the inaugural class of the Milestone Initiative and has written Cyborg for DC Comics, and Sons of Star Trek for IDW Publishing. He is currently writing Green Lantern Corps for DC. He received his MFA in Television Writing & Producing from Loyola Marymount University in May of 2024. His thesis film won Best Student Film at the AfroComicCon Film Festival in Oakland in 2024.
