56. Harry Grant: “Old Whisper, Cause He Never Shouts”

West Tigers hooker Harry Grant joins us for a chat around the challenges of NRL in the Covid 19 period, the dog walking expeditions he goes on to keep himself occupied and his breakout season in the NRL. We chat about the loan transition from the Melbourne Storm to the Wests Tigers, and why we aren’t experts on loans due to Haz’s Fiscally responsible behaviour. This prompts Harry to christen Haz with a new nickname! We receive a few not so anonymous tip offs from previous guest Christian Welch on some questions that should be asked and this leads to a few verbal barbs being fired back in his direction. We even have time to find out the three people Harry would choose for a decent bender! Brilliant responses ensue. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

55. Asking For a Friend

Leighthal is showcasing his brand new Budgy Smugglers which makes everyone quite uncomfortable.Haz has been waking up really early before cricket games with the help of cricketer Michael Neser’s alarm setting system. Also there is a reason Skin can’t successfully use Siri!Friend of the Show Jana is in the studio and rather than strictly spraying Leighthal she is considering some of our mates behaviours that have landed them in the doghouse with their significant other.  There is even a rumour that FOTS might get free haircuts! CONTACT the boys anytime here Hosted on Acast. 54: Should You Wear A Mask During Covid?

Leigh is on a cricket trip for the Wanderers through central and north Queensland. So Skin and Haz take the intro… not the smoothest you will hear. The FOTS cards have been delivered so the boys discuss their aesthetics, and find a departing Englishman to present a FOTS card to, on one condition.  Leigh has targeted “Karen from Bunnings” in his new parody song titled Wear Your Mask. The boys discuss the issue with one of the segment names they have been running with, and Haz produces a segment on Quoits that is filled with innuendo. There is a phone call to Leigh as he is in Charters Towers to discuss his cricket and we are lucky enough to have Luke “Fox” Feldman on the line too to give some detail about what it is like to tour with Leigh.  Hosted on Acast. 53. Bede Durbidge: “I was named after a drunk Hitchhiker”

Haz is up and about for this episode as we speak to Australian professional surfer, Bede Durbidge. Bede spent 13 seasons on the professional tour but it is his time since that we enjoy speaking about.   Mitch and Leigh declare their lack of surfing knowledge and are socially outcast as Bede talks through how he liked to spend his “Lay Days”, what “Popping a Wheelie” means and the surfers he liked most on tour. He talks through the art of making yourself redundant at work which really resonates with Leigh.Bede explains the origins of his kid’s names… which leads to reminiscing about the drunk hitchhiker that inspired his own name. It is a serious battle for the beverages as Haz plugs Alchemy (shock) but Bede returns serve by recommending the beer company he is co-founder of, Balter Brewing Company.  Do you have another guest that you believe we should interview: https://www.wegotthechocolates.com.au/contact-us  Hosted on Acast. 52. Surprisingly Satisfactory Review

The launching of FOTS Cards. An official recognition to our Friends Of The Show; the boys discuss how useful they will be.  One overly informative 5 star review caught our attention after last week’s episode. Beansprout Supernova turned out to be an old friend of ours who we had to get on the phone.  Haz is the victim of a QLD Cricket traditional prank which is the cricket equivalent to the old “left handed screwdriver” trick. Skins Stats is back where Skin gets to use his university degree to break down the home and away record of the world’s best bowlers.  Leighthal found a random mouthguard in his boot the day after his footy game. We investigate how it came to be there! Download your Hall Pass here Contact the show here Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

51. The Hall Pass Debacle

We're back with the same old podcast, but with a few new bells and whistles. This episode has a Hall Pass intervention that will go down as one of the best. We announce this week's Local Sporting Hero. You can nominate your local sporting hero here.  Mitch gets hit up by his first fan and wants everyone to just settle down with it all.  The Social Sin Bin is resurrected with a classic tweet from a 5 star vegan.  Hosted on Acast. 50. Double Up. Go Again

There is our first significant milestone for you. It is just a quick acknowledgment to the dressing room balcony, no carry on, no fuss, just on with business. Truth be told we actually do carry on a little bit. For goodness sake we made ourselves a montage. You cannot get much more vain. It is the equivalent of Dexys Midnight Runners making a greatest hits album.Anyway before you get to hear the “Best Bits” section, you have to find out what hobby Skin has now taken up to make him an even more hated member of society, what swift move Leighthal pulled at Ten Pin Bowling to save face, and why Haz has chosen this episode to wear his Broncos Jersey after their sixth straight loss. Then there is the unveiling of the TOAT XI side after weeks of intense trials and selection meetings. A few players will be heartbroken to miss out but just remember, Matthew Hayden never made a junior rep side.We speak about Leighthal’s upcoming birthday month and the fact that due to his old age we have been enforced by the Podcast union to have a month of leave. But do not fear, we are not retiring, 50 isn’t enough. We will double up, we will go again in 4 weeks.Thank you all biggest mobs. We may be taking a break from recording the podcast, but we will not be taking a break from drinking Alchemy Smoothies and Lattes. 49. Upstairs for Thinking, Downstairs for Highland Dancing

Ever wondered what happened on the date we recorded in previous history? Obviously we knew that you had, so we took the liberty of answering that for you which somehow led to Skin nailing a performance of his favourite Pussycat Dolls song. We relive Skinnald's last day as a resident of the Redlands and his newly discovered knack of finding Vaseline on his car door handles. Goodness knows how that got there...There is some life hack chat after Leighthal's obsession with Tik Tok led to him discovering how to find the perfect fitting pair of jeans without even trying them on! What would you change if you were in charge of the next Olympics and a TOAT XI nomination that is border line robbery! The impact of Coronavirus on the AFL, the series of unfortunate soft tissue injuries in the NRL and Alastair Clarkson's blow up about rule enforcement. We find out the rankings from our afternoon learning Highland Dancing, who is best at using the vacuum cleaner around at Haz's house and Leighthal produces some more clangers on the buttons. What an episode! All the boys were powered by the Alchemy Smoothies this week! Check out their delightful range here. Thanks for the support! 48. Football or Soccer? Any Jokes in the Locker?

Is a glass of milk an acceptable drink for adults? Is listening to a podcast whilst on the toilet commonly done, is there anything wrong with players taking a knee before AFL Games? Some brilliant discussion points come up in this week's Poddy! But to start is it Football or Soccer? We truly are still confused by which one offends the least amount of people but we do know that Rory—our resident Englishman—was kind enough to take us down to his local club for some trick shots. The even better news was, he agreed to wearing a microphone and captured the competitive spirit, horrific skill and ordinary one liners on display! We chatted about the Coronavirus case that was plaguing the AFL and Essendon in particular! Note that since recording it has all pretty much been resolved but we were definitely not about to record again. We also tried the "Don't Laugh" challenge as we told each other some cracking Dad Jokes, and you would be surprised by the player who performed the most admirably in that game. There is barely any space left in the Social Sin Bin, we fix the game of Quidditch and get some cracking TOAT XI nominations! The Lattes and Smoothies have never tasted better it will not shock you to know, thanks to the guys at Alchemy Cordials. Thanks for the support! 47. Shayna Jack: Getting Back To The Olympics

Episode 47: Shayna is in the new studio! She grabs a microphone, the worst pair of swimming Goggles she has ever seen and her favourite cricket autobiography (to put the mic on) and she is off the blocks and racing. We go through how exactly we got her on the podcast and the reasons we were keen to have chat to her, she discusses some of her most memorable achievements in swimming thus far and bursts Leighthal's bubble by informing him that the World Record line is actually for Television coverage only. If you are here for the tell all... that isn't really our style. However, Shayna goes into far more depth about the process of her being sent home and the limbo she is currently in than we were expecting. It is fascinating to get a story from her side, without huge clickbait headlines and bikini shots. She informs us of the fallout from that day, what it means for her work, her study and her future goals and ambitions. There are certainly two sides to every story! It is a real struggle to pry Shayna away from our dog "Ruby" for long enough to get some answers out of her! She describes her love for animals, how awesome her partner is and Haz's strength in board games. A truly fascinating chat and one that we certainly appreciate a great deal. We made a delightful Mango Smoothie for Shayna and she gives it a live review during the Poddy! Alchemy Cordials Australia are producing plenty of quality in the Smoothie area and you can check them out here. We do appreciate your support so much! 46. Tim Notting: Premierships and Footy Trips

Episode 46: AFL is back this weekend and there is no better way to get you in the mood than listening to a chat with former Brisbane Lions jet, Tim Notting. Tim was a member of the Brisbane Lions most dominant era after being drafted to the Lions in their first ever year as an amalgamated club. We chat about the draft process, the early years at the club where nobody really wanted to be there, copping a spray from Leigh Matthews and the dream run that saw them win three flags and lose a fourth Grand Final! Tim brings some outstanding stories about that group's ability to celebrate wins, his own impressive motorbike riding feat and the way to keep yourself awake when you are getting weary from too many 'Britney Spears'. There is some real chat about the heartache of being offered up for trade, his big regret from his career and what life after footy looks like. However, there is plenty of room for entertaining discussion as we get to the bottom of where he was born, the reason he got off Facebook and our chances of getting his wife Jodie on the podcast—former Olympic Gold Medalist, Jodie Henry. You will enjoy the chat with Tim a great deal. The phone line even cuts out for a little bit but everyone is in such great form they just deal with it like it is water off a duck's back. Real smooth. Speaking of smooth… Alchemy Cordials Australia are have a delightful Smoothie range that we have been getting around this week, check them out here.We appreciate your support so much! 45. He Looks Like Allan Border and Leigh Took the Wrong Order

Mitch has kicked the Sherrin into the Brisbane River, there were numerous attempts to recover it but all to no avail. Leighthal flogged another guys coffee order and caused pandemonium at the local establishment and Señor Haz comes in for a full podcast review. We also get through some big talking points from the week that was. Is one ref better than two? Is replacing a penalty with six-again a good idea and does Haz’s Nan like Wayne Bennett at all?Leighthal gets more and more confident with his pun telling, Skin becomes more and more aggressive with every one and there are plenty more button pressing dramas in the race for MVP!As always Alchemy Cordials Australia get some well deserved recognition from our guests. 44. Courtney Hill: When Opportunity Knocks and Constitution Jocks

Episode 44: It is not often we get to say this, but in this Poddy we chat to a proper dual athlete! Courtney was a fast bowler (and has some startling batting statistics) for the Qld Fire and the Brisbane Heat, before she made the transition overseas to play Rugby League for the Leeds Rhinos. Not your classic code-hopper story! Courtney—or Corka as it turns out—loves confetti, is a self confessed tight arse, repels all traces of an English accent and kicks conversions like a wizard. Haz’s research again ensures that there are some stitch ups throughout the interview. However, they backfire somewhat as each co-host ends up with a separate challenge against her that they need to complete. Leighthal’s karaoke battle is one that we particularly look forward to.Listen right to the end to ensure you hear the stories about just how persuasive Courtney can be to her teammates, and why she is searching for a Bonds sponsorship!Speaking of sponsors… ours is quality. Alchemy Coridals Australia are doing great things for your taste buds, check them out here.Remember that the TOAT XI nominations are still in their prime so please visit our website to ensure your recording is played on the next podcast. 43. Sco Mo Presser, Penny Saving Confessor and Who’s the Best Guesser?

Episode 43: We start off with the excitement of the Merchandise launch! That has really got everyone up and about. Cracking intro song too actually probably the best so far. Anyway I digress. Haz hits us with a quiz straight away, our task is quite simple, name the sports the general public find to be the most boring. One of us is very good at the quiz… and one of us is not. You get to hear our thoughts on bushwalking and some audio captured during the mothers day walk we were forced to attend. We get through some quality Tightest Of All Time (TOAT) nominations, including a cracking story from Adam Hollioake. We catch up with FOTS Andrew Gode as he fills us in on the things keeping him occupied during isolation, best craft beers, NRL Supercoach and Anti-vaxxers. He then tells you a way to make free money with the “Sco Mo first word at presser” novelty bet. There is rhyming slang, borderline horrible puns and plenty of pot shots at each other again throughout. Get in touch guys via our website to get the TOAT nominations in. Visit the website also to pick up your We Got The Chocolates Merch. This link will take you straight to the shop. Enjoy this one and best wishes in the future. 42. Joe Burns: Eye Control and Giving Haz a Bowl

Episode 42: This week we have the pleasure of chatting with Queensland and Australian cricketer, Joe Burns. We start with some serious topics including Joe’s stint away from the Australian team during the ashes and what he did to come back from that, as well as some highlights from his impressive first-class debut. But it doesn’t take long for Haz to show off his homework, peppering Burnsy with questions about his flexibility, surfing and skating lifestyle (or lack thereof), eye training habits, his plumbing apprenticeship and plenty more.Leigh managed to sneak in a story about his first-grade debut which was against Joe! Leigh put on a real batting masterclass scoring 29 in the first six hours of the day so it was great to get Joe's thoughts on that innings. You will go on a journey again in this interview. There is banter, and classic Heazlett sponsorship infomercials but Joe also managed to make room for some really meaningful insights into what it takes to be a professional athlete and what it means in the bigger picture of his life.It was an eye opening chat that you don’t want to miss, and a pleasure to have Joe on the show.Get in touch guys via our website. Enjoy this one and best wishes in the future. 41. Tightest Of All Time

Episode 41: Back on the tools again which will not come as a shock to the system. We start by covering some big ticket items: How do you make your teeth whiter and is Leigh a naturally gifted skateboarder? We then have the pleasure of speaking to long time listener, Tim, who was kind enough to dob Leighthal in for a previous misdemeanour. He also chats to us about the eternal struggle between being a loving parent and a frustrated junior coach. The TOAT section has been a long time coming. Luke Feldman has mentioned it in Episode 15, Christian Welch in Episode 40 and finally we have provided the resources for you to nominate your friend who fits the Tightest Of All Time category. It will be glorious and we kick it off with a pre recorded nomination from Feldman. If that doesn't get you over the line you also have a Skins Stats segment on graphing, a story about cultural awareness while working at Woolworths and why you should be wary of the "Greatest Pizza Ever". To get your nominations in for the TOAT team go to our website and scroll down to the voice recorder. 40. Christian Welch: Try the Front Row and Housemates You Know

Episode 40: Here we go, there is restart date for the NRL chat, a potential suspension from a dating app and successfully choosing a porterhouse steak tattoo. A game of two halves really; the opening minutes cover isolation, charity work and knee reconstructions. You could be forgiven for thinking it was a very serious chat... but then bang! Half time comes, and Christian discusses the standard of his golf swing (apparently not the best you will see), getting more likes on Instagram and the Storm vs Rebels Monopoly battles (this includes some serious swipes at friend of the show, Brad Wilkin!) Christian even tells you how to spot the "tightest bloke of all time" in your friendship circle. Found you Heazlett. Get in touch guys via our website. Enjoy this one and best wishes in the future. WGTC Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

39. Guess Those Beats, Burger Cheats and Wash Your Sheets

Episode 39: Tik Tok Basketball shooting lessons, how you should be eating a burger, singing along to banging tunes that you don’t know the words to and the Perineum Sun-baking fad. What an outrageously entertaining and broad source of conversation to get through.Jana is on the phone for a “Yarns with Jans” segment, Haz runs a “Social Sin Bin” and Chess is under the microscope. There is a new segment debut and we answer that age-old question… how often should you wash your bedsheets? Or in Leighthal’s case; is it okay to sleep next to your clean bedsheets after washing them because you are too lazy to make your bed? Get in touch guys via our website. Episode 38 Part B: John Millman is an absolute jet! Ranked number 43 in the world on the international Tennis circuit, John has produced some incredible highlights against some of the world's  best. In particular he has saved some of his best efforts for his encounters with Roger Federer.A genuine must listen for any person with an interest in Tennis as John dives into the ranking system, Davis Cup experiences and whether Fast 4 is a successful format. 37. The Robbery

Episode 37: Well who would have thought that walking to your car on a Friday afternoon could provide this level of content! Leigh describes the circumstances of his second car theft experience. However, more importantly Mitch and Sam outline the numerous life lessons that Facebook has been more than willing to provide. Leigh reflects on how he could have improved his handling of that situation whilst Mitch runs through the longest "Social Sin Bin" segment ever recorded. In other news we chat Esports with Dave "Butters" Wehl who actually runs an Esports business and provides some incredibly insightful chat to an incredibly unaware host (Leigh again). Mitch researches the Coronavirus statistics for Belarus, we have a visit from the grammar police and there is a new sponsor on board which always gives Haz something to talk about! If you guys can bash this episode into your ears as much as everyone on Facebook wanted Leigh to bash the guy that stole his wallet... we should be in great shape. 36. Jemma Mi Mi: Get the Rebound and Hear My Sheep Sound

Jemma Mi Mi is the first Professional Netballer we have had on the Pod and she is a jet with the microphone in hand! She speaks to us about her ambitions for the Queensland Firebirds, her experience with the Australia A Development team and how many kilometres she covers in a game. We need to mention that this was recorded a few weeks ago and it seems like a completely different time. The birds are in the background chirping, Jemma was preparing for the upcoming season and people were allowed out of their houses in groups of 3 or more. That has since come to a screeching halt so her preparation would look slightly different now. That being said it is still a fascinating chat where we find out about her netball but also the things everyone wants to know such as; how short is Leigh, which Mi Mi sister is the most naturally gifted and what is her go to Karaoke song? She also sets the bar very high for future guests on the podcast... start practicing your animal noises. Great to be back! Enjoy this episode, visit the website and ramble responsibly as per usual. 35. Marnus Labuschagne: A Summer to Decipher and Who is Michelle Pfeiffer?

Episode 35: Marnus is back with a real microphone, plenty of hand gestures and some superb stories. Leigh sits down with him and covers everything from being a concussion super sub to ranking chocolates in order of preference. He talks cricketers he most idolised, why he has a batting coach, how to conduct the perfect interview and much more. There is also plenty of time for his most influential garage cricketers list, reviewing the "Don't Bowl There Song" and the part We Got The Chocolates has played in his run of form. There are also some quality stitch up questions Marnus answers such as; who is your nemesis in Table Tennis, was the time Matt Renshaw got you out LBW actually out (you would think quite a simple question but it is a very descriptive response), and talk us through your Second Grade hundred (no other grade 100's aside from First Grade. Marnus has since gone to South Africa for the One Day series so we wish him all the best there!Thank you for your dedicated listening across Season 2. 34. Yarns with Jans and a Story with Rory

Episode 34: A couple of different voices are on show in this episode. Rory Smith joins us for a chat with his main intention being to talk about Heazlett's debut in garage cricket and to deliver his ICC sanctioned GCR's (Garage Cricket Rankings for those playing at home). His English accent is actually quite delightful to listen to despite the damage he has done to himself with his 6 a day Pepsi habit. Jana is back to tell us why she is too good for her brother, nominate her favourite cricket autobiography and to answer the common question Leigh asks; How late is too late? Haz looks at what people would change in Women's Cricket, we ask if the field is too big in the AFLW and we discuss our stance on the "Mankad". Give it a good listening to, continue to share it around and good luck in your future endeavours! 33. Charlie Hemphrey: Overseas Recruit, Joe Root and the Dinner Suit

Episode 33: Charlie Hemphrey joins us on the phone to discuss his rather unique pathway to being a professional cricketer in Australia and England. Charlie is a member of the Queensland Bulls squad and therefore gets to spend more time with Haz than most. He also plays for Glamorgan in the English County Championship where Marnus Labuschagne and Nick Selman played last season so he has stored up some quality stories.  Have a listen as he tells us how he got the nickname "dinner suit", discusses whether he or Matthew Renshaw is a better part time bowling option and gives details on how he ran out Selman in a county game. He goes through how to name a child, how to get a good looking duck and what makes Marnus so good. This chat also came straight after a Brisbane Heat loss so he gets to turn the tables on Haz as he becomes the interviewer for a section of the episode! A quote from the man himself... 32. Pregnancy with AB, Fights with Leigh and a Tennis Spree

Episode 32: Leigh, Sam and Mitch are with you for stories such as: Haz sitting next to AB de Villiers on the flight home, Mitch getting stuck trying cosmetic beauty samples in a shopping centre and Leigh being massively "Punkd' by Bazley's cousin on the Sunshine Coast last week.  We host Haz's post season exit interview for the Brisbane Heat, place multiple Heat "supporters" in the Social Sin Bin, and finally get through the 'eyes closer together' theory in Mitch's Skin's Stats. Plenty of FOTS involved and the story of why Gode's house was covered with Al-Foil.   Ramble Responsibly, enjoy being on the tools and good luck in the 4's. WGTC Hosted on Acast. 31. Adam Hollioake: Jokes With Smokes

Episode 31: Adam Hollioake sits down with Sam and Leigh to talk about his cricketing journey, wearing thongs and jeans as a combination, playing a Shane Warne straight ball and running with a parachute on. He launches into a couple of his best stories after chalking up more life experiences than you can poke a stick at. Adam played international cricket for England, competed as a professional fighter, designed a TV show and plenty more, however it is his ability to take the listener on a journey that makes this an episode not to be missed. A highlight would have to be when he recalls the process of trying to get MS Dhoni on his TV show! Please enjoy! Good luck in the 4s. WGTC   Hosted on Acast. Episode 30: We are back on the tools for a serious length of time this week as you can see by the duration. Haz takes us through the rules that our listeners believe need to change in BBL, we talk Tennis and climate change as a combination (thanks Roger Federer) and there is a listener written Chris Green Parody titled "No Ballin". Jana makes her long awaited debut in the first "Yarns with Jans" segment—Leigh struggles to find a suitable jingle for her—we discuss Russell Crowe's best movie and vote on who is "next to go" in the race to marriage! Please do not keep the good news of the new episode a secret, tell a friend about it. S2 Ep 2929. Harley Ingleby: Longboarding Tricks and Go Pro Sticks

Episode 29: Long boarding World Champion and Go Pro athlete Harley Ingleby joins us for this episode which makes Haz unbelievably excited. Leigh and Mitch just tune in for a proper surfing education as he talks about everything from surf boards to acting as a stunt double for Steven Gerrard. S2 Ep 2828. Julios or Nerds?

Episode 28: Back after the Christmas/ New Year period which means there is plenty to catch up on. We discuss Tom Banton being a great find for Australian cricket in the 'Social Sin Bin', Haz is on the road to recovery after churning his guts up with gastro whilst in Hobart and Mitch is stinking it up in BBL Supercoach. A listener has written a song called "Mourn" which really calls out the itchy nose illness a couple of umpires have struggled with in recent times. We get a celebrity on to sing that for us. Haz also received some Scottish dancing lessons for Christmas which is exciting for everyone concerned. We even find time to look at the biggest sporting moments across the decade! S2 Ep 2727. Brad Wilkin: Super Rugby Games and Remembering Names

Episode 27: Happy New Year and Welcome back everyone. We actually recorded this interview with Brad prior to Christmas but figured it would be a great first one back!In this episode we branch out from our area of strength and venture into the world of Rugby. Brad and Haz grew up together so there are plenty of classic Sam Heazlett stitch ups as you would expect. We hear about Brad's nicknames, bad habits and inability to remember names! On a serious note though, Brad Wilkin’s journey is quite the story: From a red haired, country boy who bowled sweatband swingers at Haz, to a hard hitting Rugby flanker on the world stage, Brad's pathway to his Super Rugby debut makes for some compelling listening. He was seen as a future Wallaby from a young age when he was an enforcer in Australia’s Rugby 7s Team and will be running into the field for the Melbourne Rebels in the Super Rugby this year. However, it is his resilience to come back from multiple ACL ruptures that makes this episode one that you can’t miss.Make sure you get your ears around this one and if you like it don’t be afraid to share it with a friend! S2 Ep 2626. Can You Bowl Bouncers to Nan and Why You Should Always Look to Shake Baze's Hand!

Episode 26: Wonderful news as James Bazley makes another guest appearance to reveal the official Garage Cricket rankings after plenty of debate. Fair to say Leigh is not impressed with his bowling ranking! The first ever acoustic performance of one of our songs takes place live in studio and we pick apart Mitch's BBL Supercoach team. We tell you who should replace the injured Josh Hazlewood, who is most likely to have a statue built after them and how climate change can be incorporated into cricket sledging. Can Marnus' backlift be any higher? Can his eyes be any closer together and has Haz been stitched up with his latest drug test? All these questions and much more will be answered in this episode! S2 Ep 2525. Where to for Folau and the MCG Pitch causes a Row!

Episode 25 has taken some time because Leigh has been continuing his quest towards claiming the title of “World’s Greatest Volleyball Coach” this week. Meanwhile, Sam has been away in Sydney playing cricket and Mitch has been… doing nothing out of the ordinary. Mitch has used the time to come up with a plan for all the unhappy listeners that missed out on being included in the BBL Supercoach League though! This week, we tackle another controversial topic. Not veganism but Israel Folau—potentially six months too late but still relevant because he has been linked to the Brisbane Broncos—and we attempt to enforce the no fence sitting policy. The demon MCG pitch gives us plenty of content for “The Social Sin Bin” and Skin even gets a real “Skin’s Stats” segment going which you do not want to miss. We introduce you to Heazlett’s girlfriend/ Miso Soup as he tells his love story, we sing a parody of ‘Chicken Fried’ and take a walk down memory lane as we target Leigh’s chequered YouTube past. High quality content obviously but goodness gracious there is some serious background noise to deal with. There is a full blown thunderstorm mid episode which sets off our dog and makes her go bonkers, so you will be heavily distracted but also entertained! S2 Ep 2424. Draft Picks, Snapchat Tricks and Your Supercoach Fix

Episode 24: This week Leigh takes us through a couple of activities that are necessary learning experiences in his Reproduction and Sexual Education classes, we hear about the boys debut as Bollywood dancing Hype men and Leigh's monumental Snapchat blunder. On the sporting front, this episode puts plenty of focus on the 2019 AFL Draft. Lead by the overly enthusiastic goal celebrator, Dion King, we chat through the best recruits, the Lion's steal and a couple players to keep your eyes on in your AFL Fantasy competitions next season. Sam Heazlett comes fresh off his brilliant hundred to lead us through some "Overused Sporting Buzzphrases" and "A Minute to Thin It". Mitch talks about the inaugural We Got The Chocolates BBL Supercoach competition that he will be running and that is not something you want to miss out on. S2 Ep 2323. Dulcet Tones and David Jones

Episode 23: Huge week in sport—this exact phrase gets spoken about in the overused sporting buzzphrase section—and particularly cricket as the first test finishes, Marnus bats like a wizard and we see a year ban in the WBBL. We get Andrew Gode on the phone mainly just for his raw entertainment value but also to ask a couple of questions about his trip to Adelaide with Leigh last week. You get to hear Leigh retell his joke of the day, a big name being placed firmly in the "Social Sin Bin" and what number we should all be batting during the "Skin's Stats" segment. Our favourite flavour of shapes is discussed and the new NRL Golden Point rule change inspires us to write another song. We even debut a Baseball and Basketball section... tough times! S2 Ep 2222. Jemma Barsby: Barrister or Barista

Episode 22: One of the more entertaining interviews we have ever done as Queensland Fire and Perth Scorchers All-Rounder Jemma Barsby joins us on the phone from Perth. Due to the time difference she sounds very up and about whilst we are falling asleep but that makes for an outstanding combination. Jemma talks us through changing BBL franchises, bowling with both arms and how to spell L-ephant. Listen in to hear how she manages playing cricket after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, the bulk stitch ups Haz has acquired from her teammates and how she fared in backyard cricket battles against her brother. As expected Haz manages to give some shout outs to his personal sponsors, we get a review on his haircut and we learn how to poach an egg. S2 Ep 2121. What Did Pattinson Say and Let's Get Leigh's Knock Out of the Way

Episode 21: Alright everyone it was a challenge but here it is! Leigh is away playing cricket in Adelaide but he is on the phone to talk us through his first day in the field. He also talks us through the knock no one but him is describing as the greatest of all time. He has a horrid phone line and terrible phone etiquette so we apologise for this. This gives Mitch an opportunity to take the reigns on the button pushing and it would be hard to say that he seizes his opportunity. We talk plenty of cricket as we cover sledging, selecting and catching with your head. However, there is also plenty of time for the "Social Sin Bin", "Skin's Stats" and a Heazlett Finska Showcase. Haz's Dad has even caught the song writing bug so we simply had to include his rendition of "Sweet Tigerman". We hope you enjoy this one! S2 Ep 2020. Yup or Nup to the Cup?

Episode 20: In this Episode we tackle an issue that is probably outside our expertise, pay grade and intellect but we do it none the less. Small disclaimer. If you hate serious chat we talk Horse Racing and the ABC 7:30 Report from 14:00 - 23:00 so do feel free to skip to the bant. The good news is that you get far more words out of Mitch this week because he leads our discussion on the Melbourne Cup and even sings a song titled "Mitch Just Can't Eat a Meat Pie". Listen in to hear bulk discussion on nicknames, tourism campaigns for the Northern Territory, Matthew Renshaw's first innings after his debut on We Got The Chocolates and much more. We cover the Matildas pay rise, exiting Bali jails and hitting five sixes in an over. Mixed in are some staple segments: "Overused Sporting Buzzphrases", "The Social Sin Bin" and "A Minute to Thin It". Episode 19: What a huge episode as Australian and Queensland opening batsman Matthew Renshaw joins us on the phone! He talks us through the biggest scalps he has taken bowling his part time offies—some of the names will shock you—his job as the Queensland Cricket Horticulturist and the way to ensure you are successful at your company’s annual golf day. Listen in to find out about Renners ambition to be on Burke's Backyard, which house he would be in if he went to Hogwarts, retiring ill due to unfortunate bowel movements and so much more. He might even be the youngest person to have a knee reconstruction… although that wasn’t very well researched. S1 Ep 1515. Luke Feldman Calls In, World Cup Tipping with Skin and the Fake Six Again

Episode 15 is the final episode of Season 1 and it utilises the services of recently retired and much loved Queensland Bulls paceman Luke Feldman. Luke joins us on the phone with a cricket game blaring in the background which provides plenty of highlights. He tells stories, provides commentary and even speaks about some cricket. For the neutral viewer though, the highlight is his roasting of co-host Sam Heazlett. These two have played many years of cricket together and Luke has stored some of his finest barbs for this very interview! We then talk about the much maligned referees and their crucial decisions from the NRL Grand Final. We feature another song about Redlands stalwart Nick Hurford and Jasper attempts to dethrone Skin as the Podcast's number one rapper. There is plenty of arrogance, random chat and some of your favourite segments with "Skins Stats", "Social Sin Bin" and "Overused Sporting Buzzphrases" all getting a look in. S1 Ep 1414. What Does Jack Lukosius Cook, Giants Absolutely Shook and Refereeing By the Book

Episode 14 and in a Podcast first we have two people on the phone at once! One is Sam Heazlett who is churning runs in the Marsh Cup currently; the other is even more exciting (sorry Haz) as Jack Lukosius from the Gold Coast Suns joins us to try and educate Haz on AFL and relive his memories of bowling heat as a gun junior cricketer! We chat Brownlow medal, AFL Grand Final, Haz previews the NRL Grand Final—he sits on the fence for some more ruling interpretations—and provides an in depth look at all the action from the Preliminary-finals. The Rugby World Cup presents some controversial decisions and Mitch is so pumped with his Skin’s Stats predictions that he spends the whole episode placing bets. We opened some discussion points to the Instagram Poll and as a result we talk Touch Football, UFC and Rock-climbing. As per usual thank you to our sponsors .... (insert fictional name here)... S1 Ep 1313. Leigh is in the Snow, Domestic Cricket on Show and the Freshwater Pro

Episode 13 sees Mitch and Sam take the reins as Leigh is on a Snow Trip. Truth be told, we manage to get Leigh on the phone, so you still get to hear him talk about his dismissals so far this cricket season. The Australian Women’s Cricket Team are jets, and the Marsh One-Day Cup has started, so Haz comes straight from playing a game to help us chat cricket—although gets stuck talking about his social media fame after hitting a massive six for quite some time!We check in with how Skin’s previous predictions for the Rugby World Cup are travelling—you may recall the spreadsheet—and there is a result that will shock you. Leigh and Haz argue about the NRL Sin Bin and we get the standard surfing wrap for a Sam Heazlett episode including looking ahead to the Olympics! Can Mitch push the buttons better than Leigh? Episode 12 and we have Mackenzie Sadler on the phone to discuss the opening round of the AON Uni 7s Tournament. She talks through the structure, blows up about how she had the captaincy taken from her the year after winning the competition (totally joking... we blew up about it!) and explains her reasoning for jumping from Touch Football to Rugby 7s. Joey Leilua's fireworks mishap ensures Toby Greene's fingers weren't the only thing attacking eyes over the weekend; the NSW Swifts claim a Grand Final victory and the Boomers miss out on Bronze. Leigh, Mitch and James chat through these topics but then also answer the big questions: Was Charlie Cameron fair game, why do we love Esava Ratugolea and what is Bazley's big piece of news? More unpacking in this episode than we do after the weekly grocery shop. AFL Finals are upon us (Go Lions), the All Australian Squad has some notable omissions and Bazley's AFL Fantasy CV gets a boost. We also delete a round from the NRL season and question the John's brothers birth dates... although not intentionally. 'Overused Sporting Buzzphrases', 'Skin's Stats' and a huge 'Social Sin Bin' ensure Leigh gets a workout on the soundboard as per usual. How will he go?
