Show Notes

Episode 42: This week we have the pleasure of chatting with Queensland and Australian cricketer, Joe Burns. We start with some serious topics including Joe’s stint away from the Australian team during the ashes and what he did to come back from that, as well as some highlights from his impressive first-class debut.

But it doesn’t take long for Haz to show off his homework, peppering Burnsy with questions about his flexibility, surfing and skating lifestyle (or lack thereof), eye training habits, his plumbing apprenticeship and plenty more.

Leigh managed to sneak in a story about his first-grade debut which was against Joe! Leigh put on a real batting masterclass scoring 29 in the first six hours of the day so it was great to get Joe's thoughts on that innings.

You will go on a journey again in this interview. There is banter, and classic Heazlett sponsorship infomercials but Joe also managed to make room for some really meaningful insights into what it takes to be a professional athlete and what it means in the bigger picture of his life.

It was an eye opening chat that you don’t want to miss, and a pleasure to have Joe on the show.
