This week, Dan and Bill recall the life, career, and legacy of Nichelle Nichols who passed away at the age of 89 on July 31, 2022.

Bill and Dan return to The Flagship with a look at a classic episode from the original Star Trek! Season 3 saw Captain Kirk trapped in a different universe after investigating what killed the crew of the U.S.S. Defiant. He can't get back to the Enterprise in time and the crew has precious few chances to get him back in one of Dan's favorite episodes, "The Tholian Web!" We'll look at why this episode is one of Season 3's best, what bothers us about it, and some of the times this episode has been revisited in later Treks. We also announce a return to weekly episodes of The Flagship! HUZZAH!!

This week, it's the return of The News from TrekNews.net: Prodigy premieres on Nickelodeon, Creation announces no discount tickets this year, even more guests for Vegas, and the Season Finale of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds!

Back in May, Bill wrote an op-ed style piece for TrekNews.net titled, "Star Trek: Discovery Has Problems (& How They Can Be Fixed)," which was a constructive look at the issues many fans feel that Discovery has as far as crisis fatigue. It was an article that caused a lot of discussion and, this week, Bill and Dan return to break down the points the article makes and discuss how this enormously successful show might improve.

Dan and Bill return to The Flagship this week to discuss the third Star Trek film--the feature film directorial debut of Leonard Nimoy, "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock!" This is a movie that the Trek Geeks have been split on over the years and, in this episode, they'll discuss why. From casting, to script, to memorable scenes and what may just be William Shatner's finest performance in Star Trek, they'll cover it all this week on Trek Geeks!

Thanks to a global pandemic, it's been nearly three years since there has been an Official Star Trek Convention to attend. Star Trek: Mission Chicago saw fans of all ages return to the convention scene to celebrate the franchise we love, and it wasn't without its issues. Bill and Dan will be joined by Ron Wrobel, host of the brand-new podcast "Con Pod: A Star Trek Conventions Podcast," to talk about the good, the bad, and the disappointing with this first travelling show. They'll be looking at the categories of Schedule, Vendors, Celeb Experience, and Overall Experience and assigning a grade to each. How will they rate the convention? Listen now and find out!

It's been over two years since there's been an official Star Trek Convention and, this weekend, we gather again to celebrate the franchise we love! Bill and Dan are headed to Star Trek: Mission Chicago and, this week on the Flagship, they look at this new convention experience looks like. From panels to vendors, Bill and Dan break it down. They'll also talk about what they hope to see from their weekend on Chicago's South Side.

With all the craziness in our lives, it's been a while since we've been able to talk about some of the amazing news we've had in the Star Trek Universe the past couple of months. In this episode, we attempt to rectify that gap in your podcast listening! Nog returns to DS9 after losing his leg in the events of "The Siege of AR-558" in an effort to continue his recovery. Starfleet has put him on medical leave, but Nog wants nothing to do with the real world. He escapes into the holosuites and the Vic Fontaine program--but will he ever leave? Aron Eisenberg truly shines in this episode, and we'll talk about all the reasons why. Plus, we'll look at Nog's escapism and compare it to how many people--including us--have dealt with the pandemic the last couple of years. This is one you're not gonna want to miss, pally.

Last year at this time, we invited a relatively new podcast called SyFy Sistas to take over the Trek Geeks Podcast for an episode during Black History Month. Star Trek: Enterprise paved a lot of ground in its first season, creating characters and a history of Starfleet. However, it also dared to bring a regular cast member from another Star Trek series on board as a guest star, playing a character completely unrelated. We all know that the amazing René Auberjonois played Constable Odo for seven seasons on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, but many people forget he also played Ezral in the first season Enterprise episode, "Oasis." For the second anniversary of his passing, we'll consider this episode and what René brings to it specifically. Plus, we have a winner of some FanSets pins! This week, we're joined by one of the most positive and joyful people in the Star Trek Universe! This accomplished actor has been in so many memorable roles and, sometimes, we bet you didn't even know it was him! His ability to act while covered up under layers of latex and makeup make him one of the most talented human beings on the face of the Earth. His character, Saru, on the highly acclaimed and award winning series, "Star Trek: Discovery" was the main focus of an article written by Bill which was published on StarTrek.com called "What I've Learned from Saru," which was also the focus of Trek Geeks #191. For four seasons, he portrayed the NX-01's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Phlox and today he stops by to talk a little bit about the 20th Anniversary of Star Trek: Enterprise. In addition, we'll talk to him about an organization he's passionate about: the Hollywood Food Coalition! They've been feeding the homeless in the Los Angeles area for nearly 35 years and the organization has never missed a night. The Enterprise arrives at the planet Sarpeidon which is about to be destroyed by a supernova. Kirk, Spock, and McCoy beam down to investigate and are trapped in a planet's distant past--where Kirk is accused of being a witch and Spock finds love (or something) with an exiled woman. We'll discuss why we love this episode despite its obvious quirks and plot holes. Where does Spock think he's going to get seeds? Why doesn't McCoy regress?
