Humans Copy the Creator
If, as we are continually told, evolution is a fact, why is it that human technology improves when we copy designs found in nature? Photo: Dolphin – Pixabay.com © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

The Insect with Two Brains
We have all looked in wonder at the amazing transformation of a caterpillar into a moth. However, did you realize that a moth needs an entirely different kind of brain than a caterpillar? Photo Eyed hawk moth – Pixabay.com © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Pygmy Dates?
Creationists are often objects of scorn because they take the Bible's account of history literally. If the Bible's history is accurate, humans were on the Earth at the same time as many animals that are extinct today. Photo: Courtesy of Giovanni Dall'Orto. © 2023 Creation Moments. A Thousand Words for a Bee
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. While that is often true, they also say that it takes a highly evolved brain to picture objects and remember them. Photo: Bee – Pixabay.com © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Catching Bigger, Stronger and Faster Prey
At first glance, jellyfish may not look like much of a creation. Many are quite beautiful. However, most jellyfish simply look like blobs of jelly, so fragile that what might be a minor blow to one of us could prove fatal to them. Photo: Jellyfish – Pixabay.com

Inchworm Strategy
Some creatures simply try to look uninteresting to hungry predators. Others take their role-playing so seriously that they actually fulfill some of the same roles as their models. Photo: Inchworm – Pixabay.com

Creation Makes Better Science
Many people have been taught that evolution is science and creation is religion. However, the origins debate is really a debate between two religions. According to the evolutionist's own rules of science, evolution is not good science. Consider the claims of evolution in view of what science knows today. Image: Cyprus Coast Cliff – Pixabay.com CCO

The Impossible Gene
Biologists have recently discovered a gene that suggests that God may not be above playing a practical joke on those who reject what His Word says. Illustration: Fruit fly – Pixabay.com

The Jellyfish with a Broad Reach
Do you know how to handle a sailboat? If you had to sail to a destination that was not exactly downwind, would you be able to do it? Photo: Velella jellyfish – (PD)

The Spider and the Fly
One would never expect to find any insect sharing living arrangements with a spider. That's why scientists were amazed to find a tiny fly in the rain forests of Central America who shares both room and board with a spider! Photo: Spider Web – Pixabay.com

Thomas Jefferson and the Creator
By the time Jefferson was 14, he could read four languages. He later learned three more. Jefferson's legacy goes far beyond his accomplishments in law and government. . Image: Jefferson – Pixabay.com

Has the Big Bang Gone Bust?
As our knowledge about the universe grows, the big bang theory looks increasingly unlikely. . Photo: NASA image of cosmic microwave background radiation.

Designed Language
Language requires some very special designs that are rare in nature and found together only in humans. First, human language requires vocal cords, which none of the apes have. The only animals with vocal tracts are birds, but no one is suggesting that we evolved from birds. Image: Black board and chalk writing – Pixabay.com

Your Multi-Purpose Nose
Which body structure is a powerful generator of emotions, gives you a sense of direction, and serves as a cannon all at the same time? It's your nose, of course! Photo: Nose – Pixabay.com

Inchworm Games
We have looked at many plants and animals that use different forms of camouflage to keep from being noticed. Some don't wish to be noticed so that they can surprise their prey, while others don't want to be noticed so they can avoid becoming prey. However, what happens when both predator and prey encounter each other in full camouflage? Photo: Inchworm -Courtesy of Mila. GNU Free Documentation License. © 2023 Creation Moments. Smart Squirrels
Squirrels often seem to run about without any purpose. However, a naturalist in the State of Maine recently discovered that the squirrel's activities are well planned and efficient. Photo: red-squirrel – Pixabay.com © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Heated Moths
We tend to associate being warm-blooded with mammals and human beings. Yet there are "warm-blooded" plants, reptiles and bumblebees. There is also a warm-blooded moth. Photo: Corn_Earworm_Moth_Andy Reago & Chrissy McClarren CCA 2.0 © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Insulated Ears
Our senses link us to the world around us and enable us to interact with the world. While most people believe that our sense of sight is the highest of the senses and the most marvelous in design, our sense of hearing is no less marvelous. A Master of Disguise
Many plants and animals disguise themselves as something they are not in the hope of protecting themselves. However, a true master of disguise must have many disguises. The tiger swallowtail offers no less than three disguises as it grows through its various stages toward adulthood. Witchweed
Witchweed is no simple plant. We learn from the witchweed that the Creator's unlimited imagination not only created some very strange living things, but also created some unique solutions to providing a means of living for them. Your Busy Brain
Not only is the human brain the most complex structure in the universe, it is also one of the busiest. Image: Brain by ErMed14 CCA By SA 4.0 © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Living Stones and Flying Flowers
Africa's southern deserts have a plant called living stones. In a desert, any vegetation can be a welcome source of food or moisture. In this setting, a plant that doesn't look like a plant has an advantage. And living stones look like nothing more than just another rock in the sand. Fake Spider
One of the spider’s virtues is that it loves to eat flies. However, not all spiders catch flies in their webs. Image: Zonosemata_vittigera_by Robert Webste_ CCA by SA 4.0 © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Biblical Critics Disproved Again
Over the last couple of centuries many Bible scholars have developed a skeptical approach to the Bible. Their treatment of the Bible as nothing more than a human document stems from their belief in evolution. According to them, Christianity has evolved from earlier religions just as humans evolved. Olber’s Paradox
Why is the sky dark at night? There’s more to the answer to this question than the fact that the stars do not appear as bright as the sun from earth. Photo: Starry Sky – Pixabay.com © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Illogical Wisdom
In 1981 it was only a theory—one that seemed to go against all logic. The theory said that if you have a signal, say a sound that was too weak to be heard, adding a little noise would make it easier to hear. Photo: Example of “stochastic resonance” enhanced image. Coral Grows Faster than Thought
Evolutionists have said that it must take millions of years for the tiny polyps to build large coral reefs, like the 2,000-kilometer-long Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Photo: Coral – Pixabay.com © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Flying Sheep
One would think, for example, that it would be a simple job for modern science to create a fireproof fabric better than anything found in nature. After all, no living things in nature— besides humans—crash and burn. Photo: Pixabay.com © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Humans: The Artists

Babbling Fingers
Researchers studied five infants, two of whom were deaf and had deaf parents. In the deaf households, communication took place through American Sign Language. Scientists found that both hearing and deaf children babbled in the language used in their homes. Hearing infants produced sounds, then syllables, and eventually meaningful words. The deaf infants did the same with their hands. At first they would make the hand signs for basic letters and numbers, stringing them together without meaning. Just as the hearing infants were beginning to offer meaningful communication by their first birthday, the deaf infants’ signing had reached the same point by their first birthday. Bamboozling Bugs
For centuries Asian cooks have wrapped meat, sushi and candy in bamboo bark. Though the reason for this practice seems to have been forgotten, humans evidently once knew what modern science is rediscovering about bamboo. REF: Keeping food fresh with bamboo. Digging Is a Snap
The strange partnership between the snapping shrimp and the goby is absolutely necessary if both creatures are to survive. The nearly blind shrimp relies on the goby, and the goby relies on the safety of the complex tunnel system the shrimp digs. REF: Yanagisawa, Y. 1990. Strange seabed fellows. A Touching Truth
Science has shown that touching is necessary for life. Newborn animals that are licked by their mothers have a higher resistance to disease. They are also more likely to live to adulthood than newborns who are untouched by their mothers. Lambs will die after birth if their mothers do not lick and nuzzle them. Even human infants who are not lovingly touched enough will suffer from depression, poor sleep, weight loss, poor immunity and, in extreme cases, even death. REF: McCutcheon, M. 1989. Medicine That’s a Spice of Life
In South America ground hot peppers have been used for centuries to help relieve pain. Scientists have discovered the active ingredient in peppers that relieves skin pain. This sub-stance blocks the pain signals that come from the nerves just under the surface of the skin. REF: Check, William A. Hot peppers for pain. Is Your Doctor an Old Crab?
Scientists have also known that animals generate a similar natural plastic called chitin. Like cellulose, chitin is a carbohydrate made of long chains of sugar molecules. Chitin is found in the shells of all insects and crustaceans, like crabs. Each year the crabmeat industry had thrown away thousands of tons of chitin because scientists couldn’t figure out how to extract chitin from the shells in a usable form. REF: Dworetzky, T. 1987. The Delaware Creation
Many cultures around the world have legends about creation and a great Flood that have been handed down from generations in the distant past. Most of these creation and Flood stories sup-port the biblical story of creation and the Flood. REF: Branscome, Gary R. 1991. The Delaware Indians and the creator. The Flying Insect Eradicator
For many people bats bring to mind words like “creepy,” “fangs,” “rabies,” and even “ugly.” However, over 450 years ago Martin Luther marveled at the delicate beauty of the bat. He pronounced the creature an excellent witness to the skill and wisdom of the Creator. REF: Givens, K.T. 1990. Going batty. Modern Maturity, Oct.-Nov. p. 60. Skeletons Puzzle Evolutionists
Life appears suddenly in the fossil record. And the living things found in the earliest rocks are completely developed and well equipped for life. Trilobites had fully formed eyes that were apparently more sophisticated than many creatures today. They appear without ancestors. REF: When life got hard. Garlic Medicine
Garlic. Even say the word and some people move away to give you some distance. Others gather around, because to them, garlic helps make the meal. Garlic has begun to attract the attention of medical researchers as well. REF: Garlic medicine: cures in cloves? Science News, v. 138, Sept. 8, 1990. p. 157. Doctor Nose
We don’t often think about our sense of smell. While our noses are on the job all the time, we note an odor only when it is unusual. Most of the time the scents around us contribute, unnoticed, to our overall impression of our surroundings. REF: McCutcheon, M. 1989. The Compass in Your Nose . . . . Los Angeles: Jeremy P. Tarcher. p. 99. Photo: Beach dunes_ Pixabay.com © 2023 Creation Moments. All rights reserved.

Sleep and Bacteria
When you are ill, you need sleep. And when you are sick you are usually sleepy. Medical researchers are now learning that it’s not accidental that illness and sleepiness go together. In fact, the relationship is one of God’s ingenious designs. REF: Feeling sleepy? Shhh! Bacteria at work. Discover, April 1987. p. 12. Photo: Sleeping baby - Pixabay.com © 2023 Creation Moments. A Rose Is Still a Rose
Roses have fascinated people for thousands of years. Rose breeding is one of the oldest human experiments in the science of genetics. Roses are bred for variations in size, color, frequency of bloom, and scent. More than 25 distinct scents have been identified in roses. By the mid-19th century, breeders had developed some 4,000 varieties of roses. REF: Mohs, M. 1987. Where has all the fragrance gone? Discover, June. p. 90. Photo: Autumn Damask roses_ courtesy of A. A Modern Myth
A growing number of scientists, some of them with worldwide reputations, are changing their minds about evolution. The world famous astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle announced that there is so much information within higher forms of life that they could not have evolved. Dr. Hoyle said that he could not understand why so many biologists deny this obvious fact and accept evolution. REF.: Sunderland, Luther. 1988. Darwin’s Enigma. El Cajon, CA: Master Books. A Truly Strange Bird
One of the more unusual creatures God made was thought extinct until it was rediscovered in 1958. The kakapo parrot lives in New Zealand and, perhaps not surprisingly, the world’s only non-flying parrot. REF.: Discover, Mar. 1985. p. 36.
