God says in Romans 12 that vengeance belongs to Him alone, and He promises “I will repay.” This isn’t just a command, it’s a promise that God will deal with those who’ve hurt you far better than you ever could, whether through their repentance and reconciliation or through His perfect justice. The path to rest is to forgive them, bless them as Jesus commanded, pray for them even when it’s hard, and trust God’s promise. And what I’ve learned in my 72 years is that God is a master at keeping this promise, sometimes bringing people to tearful repentance, sometimes dealing with them in ways beyond anything I could have imagined, but always perfectly just.“Forgiveness doesn’t make them right. To hear more, visit endtimes.substack.comIn this continuation of our study on the Second Coming, we turn from the Old Testament to Matthew chapter 24—what’s been rightly called “the little apocalypse.” This is Jesus’ own prophetic discourse given from the Mount of Olives just two days before His crucifixion, providing us with a condensed version of the Book of Revelation.Matthew 24 gives us the complete timeline: the birth pains that increase in frequency and intensity, the great Tribulation of the final three and a half years, and then “immediately after the tribulation of those days”—Christ’s return. This isn’t the Rapture we’re seeing here; this is the second phase of His coming when He returns to earth with His saints to defeat the Antichrist at Armageddon.Notice the key characteristics of this return: it’s literal and physical—”this same Jesus” is coming back. There's nothing more clearly stated in the Bible than this fact. I give you ten biblical statistics that prove this: 1,845 references to Christ's return, mentioned in 23 of 27 New Testament books, eight times more references than His first coming. But today we're focusing on Zechariah chapter 14, one of the clearest Old Testament passages about the Second Coming.Picture this: while the campaign of Armageddon rages and Jerusalem is under siege, Jesus will return and make what my friend Harold Wilmington called "a perfect two-point landing" on the Mount of Olives. The mountain will split in half, creating a great valley. Living waters will flow to both seas. And here's the culminating truth—"The Lord will be King over the whole earth." Interestingly, at Armageddon, Jesus doesn’t take the Antichrist’s life but casts him alive into the lake of fire—as if saying, “You believe you’re God and can live forever? To hear more, visit endtimes.substack.comIn this episode, I examine one of the main prophecies about the coming Antichrist found in Daniel 11:36–45, where he’s called “the king who does as he pleases” or the “willful king.” This passage provides a comprehensive overview of the Antichrist’s career from beginning to end, culminating with the simple but profound statement: “he will come to his end and no one will help him.”I explain the transition in Daniel chapter 11 from the historical figure of Antiochus Epiphanes (who serves as a prototype of the Antichrist) to the future end-times ruler beginning in verse 36. This willful king will be totally self-absorbed, exalting himself above every god and speaking unheard-of blasphemies against the God of gods. He’ll show no regard for any deity—neither the gods of his ancestors nor “the one desired by women” (likely referring to the Messiah). Instead, he’ll worship Satan, “a god of fortresses” unknown to his ancestors.The passage describes his military campaigns during the time of the end, including what I believe is his response to the Gog-Magog invasion described in Ezekiel chapters 38–39. When the King of the South and King of the North attack (likely the nations that invade Israel), the Antichrist will use this power vacuum to sweep through many countries like a flood. He’ll invade Egypt and North Africa, then return to Israel when alarmed by reports from the east and north, setting up his headquarters between the seas and the Holy Mountain in Jerusalem. The passage then abruptly jumps to his final destruction, reminding us that God will easily overcome the greatest concentration of evil in human history. Building on the foundation of Daniel chapter 2’s metallic image showing successive world empires, Daniel 7 presents these same empires from God’s perspective as wild beasts—Babylon as a lion, Medo-Persia as a bear, Greece as a four-headed leopard, and Rome as a terrible, destructive beast.The key addition in Daniel 7 is the ten horns on the fourth beast, representing ten individual kings who will rule a reunited Roman Empire in the End Times. Among these ten horns, a “little horn” emerges—initially small and inconspicuous but quickly rising to power by uprooting three of the original horns who oppose him. This little horn has “eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that speaks boastfully,” indicating he’s a man who will become the greatest boaster of all time, ultimately declaring himself to be God.This passage reveals why it’s fruitless speculation to try identifying the Antichrist today—he’ll begin as a “little horn,” an insignificant figure who catapults to power after the Rapture. For three and a half years (time, times, and half a time), he’ll persecute God’s people, change times and laws, and exercise unprecedented global control. Research funded by Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg aims to replace smartphones with digital tattoos or smart glasses, marking what they believe is the end of the smartphone era. These electronic tattoos use smart ink filled with nano-capacitors, allowing users to communicate, access the internet, and monitor health—all with simple gestures on their skin.While one article showed a digital tattoo on someone’s upper left arm, the technology promises invisible, biometric security that could replace passwords, credit cards, and physical keys. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg is investing billions in augmented reality glasses as his alternative to replace smartphones. This technology represents a major step toward transhumanism—the belief that technology can enhance human abilities by integrating devices directly into our bodies.I want to be clear: nothing today is the Mark of the Beast because we’re not in the Tribulation period yet. The Mark won’t be instituted until the last half of the seven-year Tribulation. However, this technology is preparing people for the system of control that will allow the Antichrist to dominate the world. As President Trump pursues peace negotiations between Putin and Zelensky, I see three specific ways that current events foreshadow what’s coming.First, Russia’s obsession with recreating its Soviet past and former glory could serve as the “hooks in the jaws” that God uses to draw Russia into this invasion. Putin has called the Soviet Union’s breakup “the greatest political catastrophe of the 20th century,” and this nostalgia for empire could motivate Russian involvement in an attack on Israel.Second, the growing division between Europe and Russia creates the East-versus-West alignment we see in end-times prophecy, where the Antichrist from a reunited Roman Empire will have a peace covenant with Israel that Russia’s invasion will directly challenge.Third, Vladimir Putin himself bears the evil characteristics we might expect from the final Russian ruler called “Gog.” While I’m careful not to conclusively identify Putin as Gog, he is certainly “Gog-like” and may be setting the stage for this prophetic fulfillment.In the second half of our program, I continue our study of Revelation 13:11–18, examining the False Prophet and the Mark of the Beast—666.
