Today, I’m reconnecting with Lt. Col. Sarit Zehavi, founder of Israel’s Alma Research and Education Center. Twenty months ago we sat together in the Upper Galilee as rockets fell daily and northern communities became ghost towns. In this episode, we assess what’s changed—and what hasn’t. Hezbollah suffered 80% degradation of its rocket arsenal, but it’s rebuilding faster than the IDF can stop it. The Lebanese Armed Forces claims to have disarmed 10,000 rockets—yet provides zero evidence. Meanwhile, Syria’s new leader Ahmed al-Sharaa is building 70 schools promoting radical Islamist ideology, nominating jihadist commanders to lead his military, and in an interview with Christiane Amanpour, refused to apologize for 600 terrorist attacks—instead calling America the real terrorists. And Iran? Sarit warns that eliminating Khamenei alone won’t change the Islamic Republic. The system survives any single leader. To bring hope to Iran’s people, you must target the centers of power. This is essential intelligence from someone who lives six miles from the Lebanese border.
