We’ve talked about Christ’s Second Coming and Armageddon—now we come to the rule and reign of Jesus Christ on the earth for 1000 years. Before we dive into the characteristics of that Kingdom in coming weeks, I want to lay the foundation for why I believe in a literal 1000-year reign of Christ on earth. Many hold to amillennialism or postmillennialism, believing we’re in the kingdom now and the 1000 years is just symbolic. I believe the kingdom is inaugurated when Jesus returns and it will be a literal, earthly, 1000-year reign on this restored planet. I’ve got a handy acronym that spells PRE-MIL to help us remember six biblical reasons why we should believe in a future Millennium. It’s titled The Just Love Story Bible, written by two ordained ministers in the Presbyterian Church USA. This book is designed for children ages 4 to 10 and contains 52 Bible stories with beautiful illustrations. But it’s a sad symptom of our times. It’s described as “social justice oriented” with a “diverse, non-patriarchal theology,” and the authors claim Jesus was a feminist. This book is just another agent of the apostasy the Bible predicts will surge as Christ’s coming draws near. The authors tell children some Bible stories are true and some are made up, they question the literal Resurrection, and they come to Scripture with what they call a “hermeneutic of suspicion.” This is an appalling apostasy directed at children, and we need to be armed with truth to stand against it.In the second half, I answer your questions: Could the Antichrist come from North Africa or the Middle East since the Roman Empire extended beyond Europe? How should we counsel a mother struggling with fear about standing for her faith if her children were threatened during the Tribulation? You may say, “Well, what in the world does 75 days to glory mean?” Well, in the sequence of end-times events, there’s one period of time that’s frequently overlooked by prophecy teachers, and that is the interval of time between the Second Coming of Christ to the earth and the official inauguration of the Millennial Kingdom. The Bible teaches, I believe, that the Millennium won’t commence on the day after the end of the Tribulation and the return of Jesus. There’s going to be a 75-day interval, and this interlude is presented in Daniel chapter 12, verses 11 and 12. Armageddon is only mentioned one time in the Bible—in Revelation chapter 16—yet this is one of the best-known words of end-time prophecy. People today hear “Armageddon” and think about some big catastrophe, but they don’t realize that Armageddon is a literal place in northern Israel. It’s fascinating to me that the very first single battle ever recorded in human history was at Megiddo, and the very final battle ever recorded in the Bible will be at the same place. This is the final note of history, the crescendo of the ages, the grand consummation that all of humanity has been waiting for. Like Johann Sebastian Bach who couldn’t leave that final note unplayed, all of history is waiting for Jesus to strike this final note when He returns.What I want you to see here are three key characteristics of Christ’s return: He’s coming visibly—every eye will see Him on that white horse; He’s coming vengefully—in justice He judges and wages war against those gathered at Armageddon; and He’s coming victoriously—as King of kings and Lord of lords to establish His Kingdom. But here’s the best part—we’re coming with Him. This passage describes the beast that “was, is not, and will come”—referring to the Antichrist’s death by assassination, his descent to the abyss, and his resurrection at the midpoint of the Tribulation when he’ll be completely taken over by Satan.The passage reveals seven heads representing seven sequential empires throughout history: five that have fallen (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece), one that existed when John wrote (Rome), and a seventh yet to come (the revived Roman Empire). The Antichrist emerges from this seventh empire but establishes an eighth—his own global kingdom. The ten horns represent ten kings who will initially rule the reunited Roman Empire simultaneously, but they will transfer all their power and authority to the Beast, allowing him to establish global dominion.This transfer of power happens after the Antichrist’s death and resurrection amazes the world, though Daniel 7 tells us three of these kings will initially resist him before being uprooted. I am heartbroken by the assassination of Charlie Kirk yesterday, as my wife Karen and I have been devastated ever since we heard about this tragic loss of such a wonderful young man who was a tremendous influence on youth around the world. Interestingly, at Armageddon, Jesus doesn’t take the Antichrist’s life but casts him alive into the lake of fire—as if saying, “You believe you’re God and can live forever? This willful king will be totally self-absorbed, exalting himself above every god and speaking unheard-of blasphemies against the God of gods. He’ll show no regard for any deity—neither the gods of his ancestors nor “the one desired by women” (likely referring to the Messiah). Instead, he’ll worship Satan, “a god of fortresses” unknown to his ancestors.The passage describes his military campaigns during the time of the end, including what I believe is his response to the Gog-Magog invasion described in Ezekiel chapters 38–39. When the King of the South and King of the North attack (likely the nations that invade Israel), the Antichrist will use this power vacuum to sweep through many countries like a flood. He’ll invade Egypt and North Africa, then return to Israel when alarmed by reports from the east and north, setting up his headquarters between the seas and the Holy Mountain in Jerusalem. The passage then abruptly jumps to his final destruction, reminding us that God will easily overcome the greatest concentration of evil in human history. Building on the foundation of Daniel chapter 2’s metallic image showing successive world empires, Daniel 7 presents these same empires from God’s perspective as wild beasts—Babylon as a lion, Medo-Persia as a bear, Greece as a four-headed leopard, and Rome as a terrible, destructive beast.The key addition in Daniel 7 is the ten horns on the fourth beast, representing ten individual kings who will rule a reunited Roman Empire in the End Times. Among these ten horns, a “little horn” emerges—initially small and inconspicuous but quickly rising to power by uprooting three of the original horns who oppose him. This little horn has “eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that speaks boastfully,” indicating he’s a man who will become the greatest boaster of all time, ultimately declaring himself to be God.This passage reveals why it’s fruitless speculation to try identifying the Antichrist today—he’ll begin as a “little horn,” an insignificant figure who catapults to power after the Rapture. For three and a half years (time, times, and half a time), he’ll persecute God’s people, change times and laws, and exercise unprecedented global control. Research funded by Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg aims to replace smartphones with digital tattoos or smart glasses, marking what they believe is the end of the smartphone era. These electronic tattoos use smart ink filled with nano-capacitors, allowing users to communicate, access the internet, and monitor health—all with simple gestures on their skin.While one article showed a digital tattoo on someone’s upper left arm, the technology promises invisible, biometric security that could replace passwords, credit cards, and physical keys. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg is investing billions in augmented reality glasses as his alternative to replace smartphones. This technology represents a major step toward transhumanism—the belief that technology can enhance human abilities by integrating devices directly into our bodies.I want to be clear: nothing today is the Mark of the Beast because we’re not in the Tribulation period yet. The Mark won’t be instituted until the last half of the seven-year Tribulation. However, this technology is preparing people for the system of control that will allow the Antichrist to dominate the world. Their official slogan declares “Jihad is its path and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes,” yet Western media continues to treat them as legitimate negotiating partners.The religious foundation for Hamas’s systematic deception is taqiyya—the Islamic doctrine that permits and even mandates lying to advance Islamic conquest. According to authoritative Islamic texts, war against “infidels” continues in perpetuity until universal Islamic domination is achieved, making any peace treaties merely temporary tactical maneuvers.
