In our latest episode, the Three Geeky Dads, along with friend of the show, Jason Pritchard, wrap up this year's Hammer Horror series with a look at Horror of Frankenstein!!!

Tonight, we wanted to talk about all the geeky goodness that recently came out of DC's Fandome! But, that's not all...we're also talking about the Hammer's The Gorgon and Blood From the Mummy's Tomb!

This is our second episode from our summer Hammer Horror series and we're still looking at some of the smaller films from the Hammer Horror catalogue that also seem to feature female antagonists! So, this series is sort of turning into the Wicked Women of Hammer, if you will…as this time, we focus our attention on Countess Dracula, Hands of the Ripper and Vampire Circus!!!

It's the middle of summer but, we three geeky dads already have our eyes, hearts and minds looking towards halloween and that means, it's that time of year where we take another look at Hammer Horror! Tonight, we're taking a look at Hammer's Karstein Trilogy of vampire films…Vampire Lovers, Lust for a Vampire, and Twins of Evil!

Just recently, we lost legendary film composer Ennio Morricone and that got us thinking about some of our favorite film scores and the ones who composed them.

A wise man once said "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." With that being said, we probably would have been better off missing this fourth movie in a film franchise because...in this episode, we ask you to ride along with us as we take look at Fast and Furious!

Hey, we're back with another in our series of "bad 4th movie from a film franchise"! This time we're taking a look at Wes Craven's worst nightmare...a movie sequel made 11 years after the franchise should have ended but, no...it's here and, in this episode, we're gonna talk about Scream 4!!!

With Geek Dad Derek lost down the Sarlacc pit, frozen in Carbonite or just off bulls-eyeing womp rats in his T-16 back home, we were joined by friend of the show and retired bounty-hunter, Josh Hurst to round out this episode of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and The Mandalorian!!!

There was a lot of new content to stream over the holidays...The Expanse returned for a 4th season on Amazon, Lost in Space returned for a 2nd season on Netflix...The Witcher also debuted on Netflix but, the one series the Dads were all looking forward too (OK, it was the only one all three of them got to watch) was BBC's Dracula, a new limited series that was available in the U.S. on Netfilx. Tonight the Dads sink their teeth into what they thought of BBC's Dracula...a series brought to you by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, the men behind Doctor Who and Sherlock. Join us, won't you?

Tonight, the Dads wrap-up their first season, the year, and the holiday "drink 'til it's good" season by taking a look at Black Xmas! From 2006, this movie is a remake of the Bob (Christmas Story) Clark original 1974 holiday slasher flick but, it's not the last remake...there's another out in theaters right now...check it out if the holidays weren't painful enough for you!

Christmas cheer turns into holiday chaos when Scott Calvin, aka Santa, invites his in-laws for a holiday visit and must simultaneously contend with Jack Frost's scheme to take over the North Pole...oh, and his wife, aka Mrs. Claus is pregnant and is about to have a baby on top of it all! Convoluted and unfunny, this second sequel definitely drove the Dads to break out the hard holiday spirits in order to get through it all as they try to Drink 'til it's good to Santa Clause 3!!!

We've got a bad feeling about this! The Star Wars Holiday Special is proof that cocaine has been the showbiz drug of choice throughout the 70's and beyond! This "variety show" featuring 13 straight minutes of Wookiee grunts and growls with no subtitles, crappy holographic acrobats, Jefferson Starship, Art Carney, Bea Arthur, Harvey Corman (x3), an embarrassing scene involving Diahann Carroll and the original cast from A New Hope trying their hardest to get through it all, it was so bad, it was only aired on TV once and never officially released on home video!

Tonight the Dads take a look at a TV holiday movie crammed with unfunny jokes, ludicrous situations and more sitcom cliches in it's hour and a half run-time than most shows have all season! From 1988, it's A Very Brady Christmas.

The Disney+ Streaming service has finally arrived and along with content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars, it brings us one of the most anticipated TV series ever...The Mandalorian. Tonight the Dads take a look at Disney+, what they like about it, what they think could be improved and, of course, what they think of The Mandalorian!

Tonight, the Dads take a look back at a show from the mid 70's that was one of the major inspirations for the X-Files. That show was Kolchak: The NIght Stalker (1974-75) Running for one season, Carl Kolchak was a reporter for Chicago's Independent News Service, and a magnet for situations involving the supernatural. Kolchak turned his investigative skills to vampires, werewolves, zombies and all manner of legendary creatures, but in the end he always failed to convince his skeptical editor that the stories weren't products of Kolchak's own overworked imagination.

A little more than a month ago, the Joker movie hit the big screens. Directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix and Robert DeNiro it garnered much critical success and has topped the box-office, becoming the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time! Now, all three Dads have finally gotten the chance seen the film and they want to talk all about it and pretty much all things Joker!!!

The Three Geeky Dads wrap up the Halloween season with a look at a really crappy monster movie...from 2004, it's Stephen Sommers' Van Helsing! And, unlike Frankenstein's Monster, this is a movie so poorly put together, that even Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale couldn't save it!!!

In the mid to late 80's there was this little movie about a group of pre-teens who had a big adventure in and around their home town. On the run from bad guys and making friends with scary-looking allies, they eventually triumph over evil and save the day! Nope, we're not talking about the Goonies...tonight we look at The Monster Squad!!!

This time of year, horror movies seem to be on every channel around the dial and the Three Geeky Dads love a good horror movie! This episode, the Dads continue their discussion on what they love to watch around Halloween time!

From Hocus Pocus to The Fog and from Bride of Frankenstein to An American Werewolf in London and pretty much any other movie in between. Tonight the Dads talk about their favorite scary movies to watch at Halloween!!!

Godzilla is a classic monster from the good folks over at Japan's TOHO Studios. Beginning all the way back in the late 50's, Godzilla's legacy has spanned countless movies over the course of the next five decades! Godzilla has even seen a new western reboot beginning in 2015 and continuing with Godzilla: King of the Monsters but, in-between all that, Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin (the "creative" team behind Stargate and ID4) tried to bring the big guy to the Western audiences with their 1998 film, Godzilla! Tonight, the Three Geeky Dads, along with friends (and experts in all things Kaiju) Dan Bacon and Peter Van Der Steur, take a look (and a lot of drinks) at this cinematic stinker!

As Leon grows to manhood and he strikes out on his own, matters only get worse as he finally, fully succumbs to his destiny! Tonight we discus, from Hammer Studios, 19961's The Curse of the Werewolf!

Rutger Hauer was one of our favorite genre actors. From his starring roles in Ladyhawke and Blade Runner and even in his smaller, supporting roles in such films as Sin City and Batman Begins, Rutger Hauer has left a lasting legacy for many movie fans to discover and enjoy. Tonight, we rediscover Rutger Hauer in The Hitcher. A 1986 thriller also starring C. Thomas Howell and Jennifer Jason Leigh. So, stretch out with a big ol' plate of french fries and listen in with the Dads as we discuss...The Hitcher!

Who's watching the kids??? Certainly not the Three Geeky Dads! While we were recovering from another summer hangover...uh, we mean, mowing the lawn...apparently our daughters got their hands on the recording equipment and decided to make a podcast of their own! Yes, San Diego Comic Con was last week! No, our wives (and wallets) would not allow us to go! But, that doesn't mean we still can't present to you everything that we thought was cool from last weekend's Con. Tonight, we break down all the SDCC goodness...the movie trailers, announcements, panels and much much more!!!

This episode, we take a look at two of the hottest things to hit the country this summer (besides this oppressive heat wave that is!) and those things are Spider-Man: Far From Home and Stranger Things season 3!

Hammer's follow-up to the excellent "Horror of Dracula" is a well-made, richly-colored sequel which suffers only from the conspicuous lack of Dracula himself!!! Or does it? For, we we soon learn that he is not all that missed as we have the return of the always amazing Peter Cushing, reprising his role as the heroic vampire hunter and in place of Christopher Lee's Dracula, we have a young, blond Baron Meinster. Although imprisoned in the family manor house by his mother, Meinster is released from his silver chains by an unsuspecting French teacher, and soon begins to turn the women of the local village into his vampiric brides. This is one of our favorite Hammer films so join us as we (along with friend of the show, Jason Pritchard) talk about what makes this film so great and why we love it.

Some say a hero is only as good as the villain he fights. If that's the case, then, Batman is truly the greatest hero of them all! In our most humble of opinions, no superhero has a better selection of villains to beat up on than Batman and tonight we take a look at most of them all! From the Joker to Two-Face and from the Penguin to Condiment King and everyone in between, we rank them, see what makes them tick and we talk about their portrayals on screen as opposed to their origins in the comics! There's the bat-signal...there's danger afoot in Gotham...stay tuned!

We love Hammer Horror movies but, it's summer, not Halloween so what's a podcast to do? Create a fake holiday to talk about it...we bring you our Halfway to Halloween Hammer Horror series...part 2! This time we look at Hammer Studio's take on Dracula in 1958's The Horror of Dracula also starring Christopher Lee as Dracula and Peter Cushing (this time, as the good guy) as Van Helsing!

Welcome to the first in a series we like to call the Halfway to Halloween Hammer Horror series. In our first part, we take a quick look at the little British studio who began cranking out remakes of the older Universal Monster properties. The movie that Hammer produced first was 1957's The Curse of Frankenstein! Starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee in the first of many, many Hammer Horror movies together, the movie was also famous for being the first Hammer horror movie ever produced and also, the studio's first time making a feature film in beautiful technicolor to really showcase all the bright red blood!

Take everything that was good about Steven Speilberg's Jaws...the barely seen shark menacing the folks of Amity Island, John William's haunting and iconic score, characters we cared about and hoped they succeeded in getting rid of that big fish once and for all... ...then, do exactly the opposite for the 4th installment of the franchise and you have Jaws: The Revenge! Trust us...after just a few minutes into this film and you'll be rooting for the shark to eat everyone, including the people who made this movie!!!

Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering! And suffer we did! Tonight, we take a look back at the Phantom Menace, the first of the prequel movies and the 4th in Star Wars franchise! And you know what that means?!? It's bad!!! As we continue with our bad fourth-movie-in-a-franchise series, we, along with friend of the show Josh Hurst, endure Midichlorians, not so great green-screen special effects, questionable racial stereotypical alien species and...of course, Jar Jar Binks!
