Reading Jeremiah 35 for Friday, May 20th. God commends a family who obeys the commands of their forefathers, unlike Judah, who disobeys God’s repeated commands and warnings through the prophets. 

Reading Jeremiah 34 for Thursday, May 19th. Obey God, and do not change your mind about obedience. 

Reading Jeremiah 33 for Wednesday, May 18th. God promises that He will restore the city that is being destroyed. 

Reading Jeremiah 32 for Tuesday, May 17th. Is anything too hard for God? No. 

Reading Jeremiah 31 for Monday, May 16th. Children will no longer die for their father’s sins, but only their own. 

Reading Jeremiah 30 for Saturday, May 14th. God’s plans for Israel are announced. The good news is they will not be completely destroyed, but they will be disciplined with justice. 

Reading Jeremiah 29 for Friday, May 13th. God encourages people to live their lives and flourish, and pray for the city they are in. 

Reading Jeremiah 28 for Thursday, May 12th. Hananiah delivers false prophesies and is no longer allowed to live by God seven months later. 

Reading Jeremiah 27 for Wednesday, May 11th. God wants Judah to bow to Babylon and not resist their domination for a time and to ignore what the other people say. 

Reading Jeremiah 26 for Tuesday, May 10th. Jeremiah was wanted dead because of his unfavorable prophesies, but cooler heads prevailed. 

Reading Jeremiah 25 for Monday, May 9th. It will soon be time to drink from the cup of God’s wrath for many nations, and Judah will be sent into captivity if they do not listen to the warnings and turn from their worthless idols. 

Reading Jeremiah 24 for Saturday, May 7th. God compares two groups of people to figs that are good, and inedible figs. 

Reading Jeremiah 23 for Friday, May 6th. God gets angry about false prophets trying to speak using His name. 

Reading Jeremiah 22 for Thursday, May 5th. The king of Judah is told why he is being punished, and is compared to his father who did what is just and right, defending the cause of the poor and needy, and still had food and drink to sustain him. 

Reading Jeremiah 21 for Wednesday, May 4th. Not only will God not rescue Zedekiah, He will ensure they are captured and destroyed. 

Reading Jeremiah 20 for Tuesday, May 3rd. Jeremiah complains to God about the hardships of being a prophet. 

Reading Jeremiah 19 for Monday, May 2nd. Jeremiah prophesies while breaking a clay pot according to the LORD’s instructions. 

Reading John 21 for Saturday, April 30th. Jesus gives fishing tips, then prepares breakfast for his disciples. Peter is given a special responsibility to care for the church. 

Reading John 20 for Friday, April 29th. Jesus wasn’t in the tomb anymore, visited his disciples, and gave them the Holy Spirit to forgive or not to forgive sins. 

Reading John 19 for Thursday, April 28th. Jesus is sentenced to be crucified, and is. He designates a disciple to take care of his mom before he dies. 

Reading John 18 for Wednesday, April 27th. Jesus gets betrayed, then arrested, and put on trial, Peter denies knowing Jesus three times. 

Reading John 17 for Tuesday, April 26th. Jesus prays to God The Father for His disciples to be protected while in the world, rather than being simply taken from it. 

Reading John 16 for Monday, April 25th. Jesus explains that after He leaves, the Holy Spirit will come to be with them. Finally the disciples believe and understand what Jesus is saying. 

Reading Jeremiah 18 for Saturday, April 23rd. God is like a potter, He can shape or reshape His clay as He sees fit. Jeremiah asks God to remember the sins of those who are verbally attacking him. 

Reading Jeremiah 17 for Friday, April 22nd. The people of Jerusalem are warned not to carry loads on the Sabbath Day. 

Reading Jeremiah 16 for Thursday, April 21st. Deadly diseases will fall on the Israelites and the land they are in will suffer. 

Reading Jeremiah 15 for Wednesday, April 20th. God plans to punish many, but provides another plan for those who repent of their backsliding. 

Reading Jeremiah 14 for Tuesday, April 19th. Jeremiah prophesies drought, famine, plague & sword while false prophets speak assuring lies in God’s name and will suffer the very things they said would not happen. 

Reading Jeremiah 13 for Monday, April 18th. Judah and Jerusalem are considered useless as a dirty linen belt due to their detestable acts. 

Reading Jeremiah 12 for Friday, April 15th.  “…Yet I would speak with you about your justice:..” 

Reading Jeremiah 11 for Thursday, April 14th. Jeremiah prophesies against Jerusalem because of their broken covenant with God, and men of Anathoth threaten his life if he continues to prophesy, but God plans to wipe them out. 

Reading Jeremiah 10 for Wednesday, April 13th. God is compared to idols, and Jeremiah prays to be corrected with justice rather than in God’s anger. 

Reading Jeremiah 9 for Tuesday, April 12th. God sees Jerusalem as uncircumcised of heart. 

Reading Jeremiah 8 for Monday, April 11th. God really doesn’t like it when His people worship idols. 

Reading Jeremiah 7 for Friday, April 8th. God wants obedience over offerings and sacrifices. 

Reading Jeremiah 6 for Thursday, April 7th. Jerusalem will be attacked by an army from the north, because nobody in Jerusalem will listen to or obey God. 

Reading Jeremiah 5 for Wednesday, April 6th. God plans to punish Jerusalem and allow terrible things to happen to them because not even one person deals honestly and seeks the truth. 

Reading Jeremiah 4 for Tuesday, April 5th. God speaks through Jeremiah telling his people to turn from their evil ways and aim to know and understand how to do good. 

Reading Jeremiah 3 for Monday, April 4th. Don’t be like Judah who turned to the Lord in pretense. 

Reading Jeremiah 2 for Friday, April 1st. God tells his people that they have rebelled and forsaken Him, and will suffer consequences from that choice when He withholds support from their trusted allies. 

Reading John 15 for Thursday, March 31st. Jesus teaches his disciples that they need to stay connected to Him, and what they can expect from the world after He leaves. 

Reading John 14 for Wednesday, March 30th. Jesus explains that to know Him is to know The Father. Then he predicts the evening’s events. 

Reading John 13 for Tuesday, March 29th. Jesus teaches the disciples to serve one another as he served them, then predicts his own betrayal and Peter’s denial. 

Reading John 12 for Monday, March 28th. Jesus had a meal with Lazarus and others, and many Jewish leaders who were interested in seeing Lazarus, and put their faith in Jesus, but were afraid to confess their faith publicly. Prophesies were fulfilled and some refused to believe, which also was a fulfillment of prophesy. 

Reading John 11 for Friday, March 25th. Lazarus dies, and Jesus is moved by the sad moment, and then He raises Lazarus to life, which causes quite a reaction among the Pharisees, especially one who prophesies that Jesus will die for the Jewish Nation. Now Jesus is being actively hunted by the religious establishment. 

Reading Jeremiah 1 for Thursday, March 24th. God calls Jeremiah to tell his people that they will be attacked, but not to be terrified. God will keep them safe. 

Reading Isaiah 66 for Wednesday, March 23rd. God esteemed those with humility and those who revere His word. 

Reading Isaiah 65 for Tuesday, March 22nd. God welcomes people, but they are obstinate and reject Him. God will bless his servants. 

Reading Isaiah 64 for Monday, March 21st. God is so powerful and we are all sinners, but ask Him not to remember our sins forever. 

Reading Isaiah 63 for Friday, March 18th. God unleashes his wrath, then his redemption.
