Reading Ezekiel 47 for Thursday, September 1st. A river flowing from under the temple causes trees and aquatic life to flourish, and the delineation of land is prescribed for the tribes and for the temple area.

Reading Ezekiel 31 for Monday, August 8th. The king of Egypt and his hordes are like a tall cedar in Lebanon.

Reading Ezekiel 30 for Saturday, August 6th. God equips Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon to defeat Pharaoh, King of Egypt.

Reading Ezekiel 29 for Friday, August 5th. A prophesy against Egypt. No longer will it rule over other nations or be of any help to Israel.

Reading Ezekiel 28 for Thursday, August 4th. The king of Tyre is prophesied against, and it seems like Lucifer is also referred to similarly. The nation of Sidon is prophesied against as well.

Reading Ezekiel 27 for Wednesday, August 3rd. A lament is written for Tyre.

Reading Ezekiel 26 for Tuesday, August 2nd. God plans to destroy Tyre and have it never be rebuilt, because they rejoiced when Jerusalem’s gates were broken.

Reading Ezekiel 25 for Monday, August 1st. God plans to humble those nations who delighted in the past humbling of Israel.

Reading 1 John 1 for Saturday, July 30th. Confess your sins to be right with God. 

Reading 2 Peter 3 for Friday, July 29th.Think wholesome thoughts and pursue righteousness. Live in eager expectation of Christ’s return. 

Reading 2 Peter 2 for Thursday, July 28th. False prophets and teachers will bring destruction on themselves and all who listen to them. 

Reading 2 Peter 1 for Wednesday, July 27th. If you don’t show brotherly kindness or love, you may have forgotten the sins that you have been forgiven of. 

Reading 1 Peter 5 for Tuesday, July 26th. Don’t push (or allow yourself to be pushed) in dealing with each other in your church roles, deal with each other in love. 

Reading Ezekiel 24 for Monday, July 25th. God gives Ezekiel a parable to share about boiled meat, being cooked and the copper pot overheated. Then Ezekiel’s wife dies and God asks Ezekiel not to follow the normal custom of mourning as a sign to the people. 

Warning: graphic descriptions of sex and violence are depicted in this chapter.  Reading Ezekiel 23 for Saturday, July 23rd.  God brings destruction on two lewd sisters who were prostitutes, idolaters and murderers of their own children.  Update: They actually are a graphically depicted metaphor for two increasingly unfaithful cities: Samaria and Jerusalem. 

Reading Ezekiel 22 for Friday, July 22nd. God plans to melt Jerusalem like dross in a furnace. 

Reading Ezekiel 21 for Thursday, July 21st. The sword of judgement is coming for Jerusalem and Israel. 

Reading Ezekiel 20 for Wednesday, July 20th. God speaks through Ezekiel about the idolatry and His coming wrath, yet the Israelites don’t take him seriously. 

Reading Ezekiel 19 for Tuesday, July 19th. Israel’s princes are compared to ferocious lions being captured or a flourishing vine withering and being burned.
