Romans 9
Reading Romans 9 for Friday, December 29th. Don’t stumble on the law and miss the point. Trust in God and receive God’s mercy. Do not judge God, your creator, but be thankful that you were not created to be subject of His wrath to display His immense power.

Reading Judges 17 for Monday, December 18th. Micah stole from his mom, then returned her silver, and she had an idol and image made from part of it for him. He hired a Levite to be his priest and represent his silver house idol. He thought God would be pleased with what he did.

Reading Judges 16 for Saturday, December 16th. Samson became too confident in his strength and disobeyed his God, while flirting with his enemies.

Reading Judges 15 for Friday, December 15th. Samson burns the crops of the Philistines in revenge and is tied up by his community with rope to be delivered to them, but then escapes his ropes and kills 1,000 Philistines with a donkey’s jawbone.

Reading Judges 14 for Thursday, December 14th. Samson gets engaged to a Philistine woman, and starts the wedding week, and then leaves angrily when the answer to a riddle was coerced from his bride, so she married someone else.

Reading Judges 8 for Thursday, December 7th. The Israelites wanted to make Gideon and his sons their king, but Gideon refused and insisted that God should be there ruler. But then he made a golden ephod that they ended up worshipping.
