We talked intimacy coordinators, growing up in Peterborough, the sporting accident that changed his life, sibling rivalries, his road into drama, life as a lanky person and loads, loads more. George is wryly hilarious, stoic, driven and sharp. He was an absolute pleasure to have on and we're sure you'll be gripped by his rollercoaster story. It's that time of the week again where we drop another instalment of the Two Shot Podcast on podcast feeds. We've had a mad week of recording this week and we've got a fair few bangers in the can. The week started with a trip to Hammersmith and a journey into the marvellous mind of Mr Andy Nyman. He's a making-money-from-more-than-one-means cat, spending his time flitting between being a musician, DJ, radio host, parent, teacher and all round creative type. Hailing from Oldham, he came to prominence with 'The Inspiral Carpets' before forming his own musical outfit 'The Clint Boon Experience'. We caught up with Clint at Manchester's Native apartments housed inside Cultureplex. Clint had a normal brew and Craig had something with white pine needles in it and we all got down to having a proper chat. It's that Two Shot Podcast time of the week again and have we got a barrel of laughs for you this week (albeit a well-tempered and thoughtful barrel of laughs). This week we're celebrating some of the talented past TSP guests who've been recognised at this year's BAFTAs. This episode with Joe Gilgun first aired February 28th 2019 Nah then. How are you keeping? We've got another sequel for you this week. It's the return of one of Chorley's finest exports Mr. Joseph Gilgun! We chatted to Joe way, way back in 2017 (click here to listen) and the feedback we got from that episode was incredible. Joe doesn't do too many interviews so having the opportunity to sit down again and record was a real honour. When we spoke to Joe, he'd just wrapped from a hectic shoot on his own creation; the soon to be released series Brassic. He was just readying himself to travel halfway across the world to start shooting the next series of AMC's Preacher - A brutal schedule by anyone's reckoning. The episode finds him wrestling with his emotions. The brutality and honesty of his self-analysis is sometimes startling but they shine so much light on the human condition, it's impossible not to be completely won over. His unfiltered passion and storytelling ability is nothing short of spellbinding and the anecdotes are typically hilarious. Bonjour TSP listeners. Hope you're well as you read this. We've got an absolute treat for you this week in the shape of a chat with the enigmatic actor Tchéky Karyo. You may have seen Tchéky in his role of detective Julien Baptiste in The Missing and Baptiste or in such films as The Patriot, Goldeneye, Bad Boys and La Femme Nikita. He has an incredibly impressive resume, but this being the Two Shot Pod we don't really talk about all that stuff. Tcheky is a passionate and deeply interesting person. His life-experiences of growing up in a melting pot of cultures and environments have moulded him into the wonderful person he is. Craig and Tchéky talk here about the brutality of school, the importance of bread and cheese, the power of avant-garde theatre, the human spirit, Paris in the 50s and 60s, and much, much more.
