After 15 years the convicted killer was paroled and ordered not to engage in relationships with women, although the board granted Gallese access to sex workers. Cpl Moncur was a platoon-mate to Private Larochelle and on this date, September 4, 2006 Cpl Moncur, in Afghanistan for only 3 weeks was hit in th head by friendly fire from an American A10 fighter jet. Moncur's brain was exposed and he believed he was about to die. He was 22 years of age. After surviving multiple surgeries Veterans Affairs Canada would provide Bruce Moncur with a cheque for $22,000. He lost parts of his brain, was shot in the back.
