Quebec wll be the only Canadian province to not commemorate Queen Elizabeth officially in any way next week. Premier Legault had the flags at the National Assembly lowered following the Queen's death. Immediately the leader of the Parti Quebecois accused Legault of giving 'credibility to an illegitimate British colonial regime in Quebec.' Does the fact there is a provincial election underway in QC play into the decision to not commemorate Queen Elizabeth?
