Episode 80 - The Incoming Storm: From the Mist Storm Universe to Prime War
This is a big one... in a lot of ways. But well worth it for what's to come. Show Notes: Run Time: 3:11:29 You read that run time correctly - this episode is over 3 hours. However! It is only our second longest episode, losing to the Southwest Sentinels/Void Guard episode by 7 minutes! That said, we cover a TON of stuff in this episode, so let's get right down to it! We start off by going through the meta-verse of the publication company of Sentinel Comics. What led to the Mist Storm Universe? How was it handled and published in the world that Sentinel Comics were real actual comics? Who wrote these books and why? What sorts of decisions were made? We get INTO IT. After revealing all that, including a name of a comics line that we've never said publicly before, we finally get into actually talking about the stories and timelines of the Mist Storm Universe at around 24 minutes in. So! Then! Just after the one hour mark, after talking about the stories from several comics series, we get back into the meta, talking about decisions made by the publisher. That doesn't take too long, and after a bit of banter, we're into the stories of each of the books from those decisions. Then we go BACK to the meta verse around an hour and 14 minutes in. Stuff is happening! Things are falling apart! Why? Well, that's what we're talking about! Listen on, dear friends! From then on, we're jumping back and forth between in-comics stories and meta-publishing-universe stories right up until we get to the stories that end the Mist Storm universe. At around an hour and a half in, we cover one of the big ending stories that we think you'll be excited to hear. Throughout the episode, we keep saying things like, "oh, we'll get to that soon." Well, just after an hour and 41 minutes in, we get to the stories of those characters. Whew! It's a lot of stories about a lot of characters. Around two hours and 23 minutes in, we get into the story of the Prime War limited series. Larger than life stuff, there. Finally, at the two-and-a-half-hours mark, we finally dig into your questions. Though, we do speed through them, as we've already covered a LOT up to this point. We do have a notable future section at 2 hours and 51 minutes in, which covers what titles come out of the Prime War series. More cool stuff there! This episode just keeps giving! Then, just before the end of episode at around 3 hours and 4 minutes, we read all of the Patreon backers at the name-reading levels. Whew! A big finish to a big episode! See you next week for another big episode about a lot of stories: the Multiverse recap episode!
Extrasode #5 - Sentinel Comics RPG Live Streams Postmortem
We had a great time playing the Sentinel Comics RPG on Twitch in July, and this Extrasode is all about how that went! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:12:20 We recommend you watch the live streams before listening to this episode. Here they all are! At the beginning, we talk about the stuff that Christopher and Adam have wanted to talk about this whole time but have not gotten a chance to go over yet, as the veil of secrecy between the GM and the players had to be maintained! But now, the fetters are loosed, and the talking commenced! Then, around 18 minutes in, we get to your questions. We finish with questions and wrap up with some discussion about what comes next just after the 1 hour and 5 minute mark. See you this coming Tuesday for an episode about the MistStorm Universe... and how it ends! And more!
Episode 79 - Sentinel Comics Animated Universe, Phase Two (Part 1)
Let's pause on talking about fake comic book and talk about fake cartoons instead! Show Notes: Run Time: 2:18:13 We covered Phase One of the Sentinel Comics Animated Universe in Episode 64 - now we're back to talk about Phase Two, but there's way too much to cover in a single episode if we're going to keep going into the contents of EVERY episode... and we want to keep going into all that! Thus, this episode is JUST about Season Two of the Freedom Five animated show. We will do a Part 2 episode when you fine folks on the Patreon vote on it, which I imagine will happen shortly! We get right into all of that, right off the bat, and then about five minutes in, we dig into the first episode of the season! Around the 1 hour and 43 minute mark, we get to your questions! At about 2 hours and 10 minutes in, we go to the future section, in which we talk about the future of the Sentinel Comics Animated Universe (mainly the rest of Phase 2). Then, in the wrap-up, we talk about some important Future of the Letters Page business. You'll just have to listen to find out! For those of your on our Patreon, voting just went live for the September Extrasode. Go let your voice be heard! Tune in Thursday for an Extrasode about our recent Sentinel Comics RPG Live streams!
Letters Page Live at Gen Con 2018!
We had a thrilling Gen Con! And now, you get to listen in on how at least a couple hours of that show went for us! Show Notes: Run Time: 2:00:35 We had an exciting musical guest this year: Jean-Marc Giffin! He's the composer behind all of the music for the Sentinels of the Multiverse video game by Handelabra, and lots of other great music as well! If you're one of our Patreon supporters, there will be a post on the Patreon later today with the music files for Jean-Marc's versions of the Letters Page songs, along with the original files for those songs, as we've never released them before and thought that now might be a good time. The bulk of this episode is Q&A, though we do have an Overview and Future section! You'll just have to listen in to find out what we talk about. Speaking of our Patreon, we'll be doing a live episode on Thursday morning of this week for our Contributors, so if that's you, come hang out with us at 11 AM, Central! During that live recording, we'll announce what we're doing for next month's schedule, and that'll get posted here next week! Exciting times are upon us! Looking forward to getting back into the regular Letters Page schedule with all of you!
Tinysode 2
We just got back from Gen Con last night, and wow are we tired! We are very eager to get back to recording, but for now, enjoy this tiny tinysode! Catch you next time!
Tinysode 1
We're at Gen Con doing setup and getting ready, so - as previously announced - there's no episode this week! And yet, we still recorded a minute and a half of explanation, just to tide you over. Thanks for listening, everyone! We're eager to return to our normal(ish) schedule soon! -Christopher and Adam and Trevor and everyone else at GTG
Editor's Note #20
An Editor's Note just before we head off to Gen Con! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:28:01 Here's the schedule for July! Tuesday, August 7th: We're on Break! Tuesday, August 14th: Gen Con 2018 Live! Tuesday, August 21st: Episode #79 - Sentinel Comics Animated Series: Phase 2 Thursday, August 23rd: Extrasode #5 - Sentinel Comics RPG Live Steams Recap and Discussion Tuesday, August 28th: Episode #80 - The Incoming Storm: Mist Storm Universe from the end of OblivAeon to the beginning of Prime War Thursday, August 30th: Editor's Note #21 And a photo of the calendar on our wall! (It doesn't say that the month is August... but it is.) Topics covered in today's episode: Citizen Dawn and the Citizens of the Sun Young Legacy Sentinel Comics: the Roleplaying Game Daybreak and more! Looking forward to seeing some of you at Gen Con!
Episode 78 - Golden Age Legacy Radio Play
We made a radio play! It turned out pretty dang awesome! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:07:57 Just listen to the episode! It's got a lot going on. All of the voices in the radio play are either Adam or Christopher, other than Ruby, who was voiced by the talented and most excellent Heather Reusz! Around the 40 minute mark, we get to your questions! This Thursday is this month's Editor's Note! Next week is Gen Con! We're excited to see you - and record an episode with you - there!
Episode 77 - Shipping: Love in the Multiverse
Let's talk about looooove. Show Notes: Run Time: 1:19:00 A strange change in format today: after some mild preamble, we start of by getting into your questions, just before the 5 minute mark! Then, we spend over a third of the episode on a single letter... The questions cover the vast majority of the things we wanted to talk about today, so enjoy the process of us keeping up with you fine folks! Spoilers: At around an hour and 9 minutes in, we talk about a Biomancer story. A bit of the recording was lost here, but the thing we talked about that didn't make it into the episode is that, after her death, the body of the woman we mention is enshrined in Biomancer's lair, and sometimes he makes fleshchildren to look like her, but he always destroys them because he cannot match her perfection. For all his "work toward perfection", he cannot match the perfection of his one true love. Also, he's super creepy. /spoilers After that, our brief "overview" - which is more of a "let's fill in the couple things no one asked about" bit - starts about an hour in. For our Patreon supporters, the voting is already up for the August episodes, so make sure your voice is heard! Get your vote in now!
Episode 76 - Cosmic Tales
We go out to explore SPAAAAAAACE!! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:21:51 Right off the bat, we mention that the day this episode goes live, we're doing another live stream of the Sentinel Comics RPG! Come join us on our Twitch channel! We then mention that our Patreon Collectors and Contributors can submit topics for August now. Check out this Patreon post about it! At the two minute and 45 second mark, Adam realizes what we should name this episode. And lo, that is what the episode is now named. Let it be written. Then, we finally get into space stuff. The overview is mostly breaking down how space is used across the different eras of comics publication, and also how that all fits together to show the primary purpose of space in storytelling. After that, we get into your questions just after the 12 minute mark, letting your questions about space shape the order we talk about the variety of space stories. Questions spark us to talk about: Golden Age Captain Cosmic stories Captain Cosmic's (Hugh, not Ray) interactions with those stories Plants (Space plants, that is) Stuff we like making A strange story Humans compared to aliens Cute aliens? Humanoid aliens Galactic Strike Force races Singular Entities (briefly) Galactra's race Empyreon's race Translators/alien languages Magic in space And more! Around an hour and 14 minutes in, we talk a little about the future of space in the various worlds of Sentinel Comics. And then we tease a bit more about Prime War before reading names and signing off. Join us next week for an episode about love.
Extrasode #4 - Christopher and Adam Give (Fake) Legal Advice
First things first: we're not lawyers and no one should ever take our advice! That aside, we're gonna give advice anyway! Show Notes: Run Time: 57:15 We start off with a bunch of disclaimers, because boy howdy are we NOT lawyers. Then, we jump right into the lies. The questions begin at five and a half minutes in. Join us next week for an episode about EVERYTHING SPAAACE!!!
Episode 75 - Dark Watch Vol. 1, Issues #1-6
Diving deeply into 6 comic book issues! Run Time: Show Notes: 1:20:23 We start off by raving about a game we've been playing a lot lately... you'll just have to listen to find out! Then, once we get down to brass tacks, as they say, we talk about a bunch of other comic books before we can even get to Dark Watch #1. But then, we do! And wow are there some twists and turns! Around 47 minutes into the episode, we read your letters to you! On Thursday of this week, we've got another Extrasode coming your way! We've already recorded it, and it's a weird one, but no Il Alimento, certainly. Whew! Keep on saving the Multiverse!

Come watch us on our Twitch channel at 1:00, Central time!
Episode 73 - Young Legacy
An episode about America's Newest Legacy! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:17:20 (Sorry about this one being 12 hours late - we ran into a technical issue this morning and had to do a bunch of extra work today to get this one up. Thanks for bearing with us, everyone!) We begin with the history of Pauline Parsons in Sentinel Comics, starting with her first appearance in the '50s! We go on from there through the rest of her appearances, and how her story - and the story of the Legacy line - change across the decades of publication history. Even given all that, we are treading Legacy stories you're at least somewhat familiar with, for the most part, so it's only a bit after the 23 minute mark that we get to your questions! And we start off with a "song". Yeah. Let's go with "song". A little after an hour into the podcast, we mention the five members of the team "Daybreak". Here are those team members: As we talk about around the one hour and thirteen minute mark, earlier today was the first ever episode of Sentinel Comics LIVE! It went great, and we had a decent pile of folks show up to watch! (Here's the videos saved by Twitch. They got broken into part 1, part 2, and the bulk of it in part 3 for some reason. We'll be uploading the whole thing to our YouTube account in high quality at some point soon.) Join us next Tuesday at 1 PM Central. Also, if you're a Letters Page Patreon supporter, the voting for July's episodes is up now! Go and vote - let your voice be heard!
Extrasode #3 - Story Meets Mechanics
An Extrasode about how story and mechanics work together in Sentinel Comics games! Show Notes: Run Time: 2:01:27 Another extrasode attended live by our Patreon Contributors! Do you want to be a part of our next live recording! Join us on the Letters Page Patreon! We officially move on to the submitted questions around the 17 minute mark, though we answer a couple questions from the live chat before that. Finally, after we have talked about all manner of story and mechanics interactions, we talk about the near future of Sentinel Comics - and I'm not talking about the stories from the comic books. Around an hour and 50 minutes in, we explain the plans for OblivAeon, the Letters Page, the Sentinel Comics RPG, and more. There's a lot going on with Sentinel Comics, and we're taking some time to make everything go together correctly. Thanks for listening!
Episode 72 - Xtremeverse
EXPLOSIONS! POUCHES! LOUD NOISES! It's time to get EXTREME!!! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:52:54 EXTREME! Today's episode is so ridiculously off the chain. There are also lots of actual chains. We tell a bunch of EXTREME stories. It gets BRUTAL. This isn't your DAD'S episode! Really, buckle in, kids - things are about to get WICKED SICK. In the first ten minutes of the episode, we knock out one of the most BADASS stories you've ever heard... and we're just getting started! We get to your TOTALLY BADICAL questions just before an hour in. EXTREME!!!
Episode 71 - Superpower Sources
How do the heroes and villains do what they do?! Let's dig into that! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:24:26 We start off with an overview section that's based on the character creation system from the upcoming Sentinel Comics RPG! We go through each of the "Power Sources" from that system and talk about how they relate to the rest of Sentinel Comics. Around 30 minutes in, we get to your questions, which end up being the bulk of the episode! This week, we're recording 3 episodes again, as Christopher is out of town next week for Origins. (If you're there, come say hi!) On Thursday, we'll be recording the X-treme Verse episode! On Friday morning at 11 AM Central, we'll be recording the Story Meets Mechanics Extrasode! It'll be a LIVE recording for the Contributors on our Patreon, and everyone else on the Patreon will get access to that video shortly after the recording is done. Then, later that same day, we'll be recording the Young Legacy episode! Make sure you get your questions in for those three episodes before then! Thanks for listening!

A story of the Dawn! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:47:18 We get deep into a major story from the history of Sentinel Comics Right off the bat - after only a few minutes of tomfoolery - we kick off this whole event with the story of Freedom Five #595. Then, we dig into each and every issue of Freedom Five and the also the weekly limited series that are all part of the Sunrise event. Around an hour and 15 minutes in, we get to your questions. In a couple days, we'll release an Editor's Note with the upcoming schedule for June! Got questions for us? Submit them here! Want to be a part of the Letters Page? You've got options over on our Patreon! Thank you for listening!
Episode 69 - The Inverted Universe
A world where the heroes are villains and the villains are heroes! Wacky! But then, these foes don't look so much "wacky" as they do "actually really evil"... Show Notes: Run Time: 1:40:37 We get right into it, which is good, because we have a lot to cover today! In the 3rd minute of the podcast, Adam claims that by 1988, the movie The Land Before Time had been released some time ago. Turns out, it was actually released November 18, 1988. So, pretty close! Then, we get into the Disparation stories set in the Inverse Universe. Around fifteen minutes in, we introduce the team of ne'er-do-wells pictured above. Villainous! Just before the 44 minute mark, we start talking about how the Inverted Universe starts talking about how these stories in issues of Disparation change the future of Disparation books! Then, right after the 47 minute mark, we get into your questions! In the future section, starting around the 1 hour and 32 minute mark, we talk about not just the future of Disparation, but the future of the Letters Page, as well! This even includes an interesting SPOILER. The Inverted Universe changes so much! As mentioned at the end of the episode, we're recording the Sunrise episode this Thursday, so get your questions in by then. Additionally, we're recording Editor's Note #18 on Friday morning (which will be a live recording for our Patreon supporters at the Contributor level), and then recording the first episode for June later that day. The topic for that episode is "Superpower Sources". So, the Sunrise episode will be released next Tuesday, which is May 29th; Editor's Note #18 will be released Thursday, May 31st; and the Superpower Sources episode will be released Tuesday, June 5th. Get your questions in!
Episode 68 - The First Behind the Scenes Episode!
We create something without any preparation! Will we make a hero? A villain? An environment? Something else entirely? We don't know yet! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:47:26 We recorded this episode live with the help of our Patreon Contributors! The episode is much better than the live recording, as Trevor has cleaned up the audio and also cut a bunch of dead time when we were just reading the chat and things like that. Still, if you want, you can watch the live video here. Want to be a part of our future live episodes? Check out our Patreon! After some explanation and laying of ground rules, we start our collaborative brainstorming about 4 minutes in. Around the 22 minute mark, we finally figure out what it is that we're talking about, and begin crafting the mythos of that story. We dig into questions from both the submission form and the Discord chat starting a bit after 56 minutes in. The future segment begins at around an hour and 34 minutes. At the end, I mistakenly say that we're recording both the Inverse Universe episode AND the Sunrise Story Arc episode on Friday of this week. Nope! Just the Inverse Universe episode. However, next week, we'll be recording Sunrise, Editor's Note #18, AND the first episode for June. What's that first episode? We don't know yet, but the voting for what episodes we'll do next month will be up on our Patreon today, so keep an eye there! Thanks for listening!
Episode 67 - Disparation Freedom Five
Delving back into Disparation stories! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:15:06 Who are these people? Where do they come from? What is their story? Listen on to find out! After a few minutes of goofs and introductions, we get into the actual content of Disparation, Vol. 1, Issue 24! Just before the 38 minute mark, we get to your questions! This Friday, we'll be recording our "Behind the Scenes" episode, which will release next Tuesday. But for those of you on our Patreon, you'll get the video of the experience by the end of day Friday! And if you're a Contributor-level supporter of the Patreon, you'll get to watch and participate LIVE!

Episode 66 - Legacy Supplemental
We're back to the very beginning! Revisiting the Legacy story from our very first episode. (This art is the pencils Adam did in 2010 for Legacy which were then scanned in and inked and colored to make Legacy's first character card art! Adam will probably hate that I used this art, but it's good to see your roots.) Show Notes: Run Time: 1:28:45 We start off by talking about the weirdness that is this coming Thursday's Extrasode. Then, just before 6 minutes in, we finally get into the history of Sentinel Comics portion of the episode that takes up the bulk of the overview. After all that, around 36 minutes in, we get to your questions! Right off the bat, 40 minutes in, we get a question about where the heck do Legacy's powers come from. AND WE ANSWER IT. FULLY AND HONESTLY. SURPRISE. At the hour and 21 minutes mark, we get to the future section. This was a fun one for us to return to. Thanks for listening!
Editor's Note #17
Another live-recorded Editor's Note! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:09:14 I'd recommend listening to the podcast over watching the video, as the audio quality is MUCH better, and Trevor does a great job with editing and producing. But here's the video! Upcoming Schedule: Tuesday, May 1st: Legacy Supplemental Thursday, May 3rd: Food Extrasode Tuesday, May 8th: Disparation: Freedom Five Tuesday, May 15th: Behind the Scenes Storytelling Tuesday, May 22nd: Disparation: Inverted Universe Thursday, May 24nd: Editor's Note #18 Tuesday, May 29th: Story-arc: Sunrise Get your Legacy and Food Extrasode questions in now! Episode 65 - NightMist's Little Black Book of Monsters
A whole book of creepy crawlies and the evil that lurks in the darkness! (No, not the book in that picture. A different book.) Show Notes: Run Time: 1:46:28 Lots of fun stories and mythology in this one! We start off with where this book shows up in the history of Sentinel Comics. Pretty quickly, we get to your questions! Just after 6 minutes in, we're already going into the Questions segment, and we use that to guide the stories from the Diamond Book of Monsters. And then, A bit after the 10 minute mark, we're in on our first long-form story of this episode. Buckle-up! After wrapping that up, we dive into another long story, starting a bit before the 28 minute mark. Zoom! Then, we get into more question and answer type stuff, but we do reveal a lot more mythology of the dark corners of the Multiverse! There is even a future segment in this episode! Starting around an hour and 36 minutes in, we discuss the future of the Diamond Book of Monsters. We're recording an Episode AND an Extrasode this coming Friday! Get your questions in now for the Supplemental Legacy episode and the Food podcast Extrasode by the end of day Thursday, April 26th! Thank you as always to all of our listeners and supporters!
Episode 64 - The Animated Series, Season One
Let's get animated! Show Notes: Run Time: 2:29:40 There is a lot of stuff in this episode! The first season of the SCAU (Sentinel Comics Animated Universe) is made up of 26 episodes and a movie, and we get into ALL of that! We talk about the episodes for over an hour, going pretty in-depth on many of them. At around an hour and 28 minutes, we start in on the movie. Then, at the one hour and 51 minute mark, we get to your questions. Also! A future section, about two hours and 21 minutes in! Voting on topics for May is up now on the Patreon! Vote and help decide what happens next on The Letters Page!
Episode 63 - Progeny
The dread scion! It only exists to exercise the will of OblivAeon! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:20:24 We start off with an overview of when and how Progeny first showed up in the pages of Sentinel Comics, starting with the Freedom Five book. Just before the 18 minute mark, we briefly get back into the debate of "does Progeny's head blasting off into space look cool." Spoilers: there is no real resolution to this argument. Just after 19 minutes in, we get to the Progeny origin story, which is told in the pages of Prime Wardens, Vol. 2, after that first Progeny story. Then, just after the 24 minute mark, Progeny goes to space! A cool K.N.Y.F.E. and Captain Cosmic story is told. We start in on your questions 30 minutes into the episode. Don't forget, the Sentinels of Freedom video game is currently live on Kickstarter! Go check it out! Patreon supporters: we'll be posting the topic submission form today or tomorrow and then voting will go live next week! We'll post the details on all that on the Patreon page. Have more questions about Progeny? Sent them to us here!
Extrasode #1 - The GTG Origin Story
The first ever Extrasode! Show Notes: Run Time: 2:14:54 These were intended to be for Patreon supporters only, but we polled them, and they voted overwhelmingly in favor of making them available to all Letters Page listeners! That said, we did record it live with interactions from our Contributors, and then shortly after recording it, we posted this video for Patreon backers, so they got it first! Now, the episode goes live for everyone! This Extrasode is probably more serious than most will be, but it's still a lot of fun. We go deep into the history of how we met, how we starting making stuff together, and how that ended up being Sentinels of the Multiverse and Greater Than Games! Christopher is at PAX East right now, and Adam is about to fly to the UK! If you're at PAX East, find Christopher and say hi! If you're in the UK, go find Adam - he's around there somewhere!
Episode 62 - Disparation Dark Watch Team
We're talking about these so familiar and yet so different heroes! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:21:26 Welcome to April, and a whole new format! The next 3 months will feature different types of episodes than what you're used to, but they're going to be great! Interested in having input in what we talk about? Check out our Patreon! That's the best way to get involved in what we're doing here with the Letters Page. We jump around in time a bit to start off, but then! We actually lay out the history of a book we've only hinted at before and never directly quoted or defined: Disparation! Disparation Volumes 1 and 2, at that! Then, after telling all that backstory and even going briefly over a few other Disparation issues, we finally get into the story of this alternate reality Dark Watch. Just a minute before the one hour mark, we get into your questions! Thanks so much for listening! Also, the Sentinels of Freedom video game is live on Kickstarter now! Also! Extrasodes were going to be Patreon-exclusive content, but I polled the Patreon backers and they were pretty keen on them being for everyone, so that's happening! However, the videos of the Extrasodes and Editor's Notes will be made available to Patreon supporters as soon as they're created! And Contributors can even watch and interact live, just like they did for this very Editor's Note! OK, back to the business of this Editor's Note. Looking forward to the new format starting with next episode! A hearty thank you to all of you fantastic listeners, and especially to our Patreon supporters!
Episode 61 - Grand Warlord Voss
One of the most terrible villains of the Multiverse is here! Tremble before Grand Warlord Voss, Earthlings! Show Notes: Run Time: 2:13:34 We get right into it by talking about the first appearances of Thorathians in the history of Sentinel Comics. Then, we jump to the 60s to introduce Grand Warlord Voss himself! After that, the next divergence is talking about space stuff - the space race, space exploration, and the wonders of space as a genre, so to speak. Then, finally, we actually get to the origin and backstory ofRainek Kel'Voss! Which takes a while. About as much time as everything leading up to that. Reasonably! Just after 35 minutes in, we get to the mid-80s, and stuff starts getting intense. Big stories. Big meta-information. Big reveals. Everything's big. Whew! What a wild ride! OK, right, moving on. Almost halfway through the episode - a few minutes before the one hour mark - we get into your questions. There are LOTS of great questions that make us dig into more of the story of Grand Warlord Voss and the Thorathian people. We answer almost all of your questions! We get into Thorathian naming practices at around an hour and 43 minutes in! Fun stuff, there. At 2:04:40, we do the quickest future section we've ever done! Don't forget, today is the last day on our Patreon to get your votes in on the polls about topics for April! Let your voice be heard! See you Thursday for an Editor's Note!
Episode 60 - Prime Wardens
A team that is sometimes extreme, but is always awesome. Show Notes: Run Time: 1:54:19 Our Patreon is running smoothly already, thanks to so many of you! As a result, this week, we'll be recording our upcoming Editor's Note LIVE for those of you at our Contributor level. Afterwards, the video will be posted for our supporters over on the Patreon. Anyway! Prime Wardens! We start off by digging into some of the specific dates of the history of Sentinel Comics - we use the historical landmarks of where these heroes came from as a framework for the bulk of this episode. This is by far our most historically accurate episode. Starting just after the 12 minute mark, we zoom in on the story of the very first Prime Wardens story. We go on quite awhile just about this one big story. It's a very cool story, if I do say so myself. Around 33 minutes in, we get into the Fall of the Prime Wardens story. We talk about the re-formation of the team and the second volume of the Prime Wardens book around the 41 minute mark. At 45 minutes in, we get to your questions, starting with questions about the entire team! We get a little EXTREME around an hour and 9 minutes in. Our future section today starts just after the one hour and 43 minute mark. There's a lot of interesting details in there, including a return of the SPOILERS! If you are avoiding spoilers for the story content of the SCRPG Starter Kit, you'll want to skip from 1:45:45 to 1:47:55. Don't forget, at noon Central Time today, join Adam, Maggie, SaRae, Craig, and me on our Twitch channel for the hero character creation for our upcoming Sentinel Comics Live show! (And Paul will be there in the chat!) We're going to figure out how all this video stuff works! See you next week for Grand Warlord Voss!
Episode 59 - Tempest
The long-awaited episode for one of the first heroes from Sentinel Comics! Show Notes: Run Time: 3:29:10 Our longest episode yet! It is astounding to me that an episode about one character ended up longer than our previous longest episode, the Southwest Sentinels/Void Guard episode, about 4 characters who make up two teams with major changes in there. But, then again, hardly surprising that Tempest takes so long to cover - really speaks to just how much is going on in the Tempest story. We cover the three major phases of Tempest's life: From origin through Vengeance Post-Vengeance through Vengeance: Returned Prime Wardens #1, Vol. 2 through OblivAeon There are lots of things going on in each of those phases, but that's a fair way to break up the stories of Tempest. Be sure to tune in next week when we talk more about the whole team of the Prime Wardens, and the week after when we talk specifically about Tempest's primary nemesis: Grand Warlord Voss! There are a good bit of Tempest stories that we don't get too into in today's episode, as they belong in the Voss episode much more. Just after the 52 minute mark, (that's right - we cover the entire overview in less than an hour!) we get into your questions! And there are a lot of them. You folks asked about all the things! At around an hour and 16 minutes into the episode, we get asked a question that results in a deep dive into the biology of the Maerynian people. I know a lot of people have been wondering about this stuff for a LONG time. An answer to a question just under two hours and 40 minutes in that gets us into a discussion of what we've done to make Sentinel Comics feel like "real" comics. Then, we go on to give a preview of the sort of thing we'll be doing in the OblivAeon episodes! At least, we go down a rabbit hole that is certainly the type of discussion that will be happening in the OblivAeon episodes. Just after the two hour and 50 minute mark, we finally get to the character of Leviathan... who we give a quick overview for, but don't get into too thoroughly. Want more? Perhaps we'll do another episode later! We finish your questions and go to the future section at just after three hours in. It's a quick one! Ooh, and a big reveal at the end of the future section! I wonder what the implications of that will be... Finally, the major announcements! They begin at 3:05:31. I'm not putting all that info here - I want you to hear it the way we present it in the episode, not just give you a wall of text. However! I will say, you should definitely check out the changes that are going live later today on our Patreon! Thanks for bearing with us through this whole episode! See you next week for an almost certainly shorter episode about more characters!
Episode 58 - Environments of Power
One way or another, all of these environments house some great power... let's talk about them! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:42:54 We dig into the last of the environments - they only sort of go together in this episode, but they're all important parts of Sentinel Comics! Insula Primalis Ruins of Atlantis Magmaria Fort Adamant Omnitron IV Lots of cool story bits for each of those places! Next week is the long-awaited Tempest episode! Get your questions in using the submission form by end of day Thursday, March 8th! Aaaand, finally: our Patreon is now live! Go check it out! We'll be adding Patreon exclusive behind-the-scene content all the time, including a livestream happening within a few hours of this episode going live!
Episode 57 - Iron Legacy and Alternate Realities/Timelines
One of the most important heroes of Sentinel Comics is also one of its most terrible villains. Today, we cover the Fall of Legacy. Show Notes: Run Time: 1:50:40 In the first few minutes - after a bit of nonsensical side-tracking - we get right into the appearances of Iron Legacy in the history of Sentinel Comics. With that, we also tell some of the historical elements of the Young Legacy story, as that's a necessary part of the story setup. And then, things start getting really spread out. Good thing we've got your questions to help figure everything out! We get into your Iron Legacy questions right around the fifteen minute mark. We cover how Iron Legacy can be "stronger" than Legacy, various art elements, what's going on with other heroes and villains in the Iron Legacy timelines, and even more odd food analogies for how we deal with time and reality and such, and more! We are forced to take an emotions break around 45 minutes in. Then, we get back to more cheery Iron Legacy stuff. Yay? Then, around eight minutes after the one hour mark, we get into alternate reality and timelines questions! Way more positive stuff! Get ready for topics about alternate versions of lots of heroes and villains, Disparation stories, outside reality/time, and a few other things - we're all over the place. Around an hour and 20 minutes in, we reveal our true, secret goal behind everything we've done for the bulk of the last decade... So now you know! A bit after that, we get into possibly the most delightful segment we've ever done - the Animal-verse! Warning: we get REALLY silly. Before wrapping up, we talk a bit about environments! Last, but certainly not least, we mentioned our new Patreon last week, and we're putting more stuff up on it over the course of this week! We're looking forward to making this show even more awesome with your help!

Help us keep making The Letters Page, and be a part of the podcast yourself! We'll be putting more information here as we get closer to March. Next week is Iron Legacy and other alternate realities! It's going to be a lot of ups and downs...
Episode 56 - Miss Information
Lots of Fake News in this episode. Where is it all coming from? Show Notes: Run Time: 1:42:15 Let's go back to the 50s! This episode starts with story from very early on, and then works its way up through the end, slowly but surely. After fifteenish minutes of establishing backstory and world stuff and some goofs, we get into the villainous stuff. Then, we spend a bunch of time in the aughts! I don't want to spoil too much in the show notes - you'll just have to listen to find out what happens! A bit before the hour mark, we get into your questions! We get into fan-saltiness around the 1 hour and 25 minute mark. A lot of questions and stories lead up to this, but the fan backlash due to the Sentinel Comics choices resonates with us strongly. We've all been there! In a couple days, we'll have an Editor's Note with the upcoming schedule for March, as well as more exciting questions, answers, and some exciting news! See you there!
Episode 55 - Parse
Parse has keen arrows, but a far more keen eye! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:30:53 We don't spend any time dillying or dallying in this episode! In fact, this may be most "content per minute" episode we've ever done - just jam-packed with the story of Parse through the years of Sentinel Comics! We start off in the 80s, including a bunch of information on how various titles are being treated then, laying the groundwork for Parse's origin. Just after the 6 minute mark, we mention that the Iron Legacy and Alternate Realities/Timelines episode is coming up on the recording block in a few days - get your questions in now! Around 12 minutes in, we introduce a character we've never talked about before... and within a couple minutes, you learn why he's never come up before. The high-speed rate of reveals continues, right up until the start of the Miss Information story around the 20 minute mark... but then we clam up. Don't want to spoil next week! Even more publication history oddities around 23 minutes in, covering her origin yet again and setting up why Parse is in space so much. A bit after the half hour mark, we talk a bit about OblivAeon, and how the appearance of that cosmic, singular entity alters Parse and her story. Then, just after 34 minutes in, we get to your questions! The questions do a great job, as per usual, of further digging into Parse's abilities and story. Strong work, everyone. One of you even made Adam laugh so hard that we had to pause recording momentarily! In the future segment - starting around the one hour and 25 minutes mark - we talk about a few important things, including a reveal of where she's ending up in the Sentinel Comics Universe! Whew! There we go! That one seemed fast, but it was still 90 minutes of non-stop Parsing! See you next week for an episode and an Editor's Note! Also, later this afternoon at 3 PM Central time, Christopher will be doing a livestream over on the OblivAeon Kickstarter page! Come hang out!
Episode 54 - Supernatural Settings
The most settings ever covered in one episode! Show Notes: Run Time: 2:11:34 This episode is all about the weird and magical environments from the world of Sentinel Comics! Madame Mittermeier's Fantastical Festival of Conundrums and Curiousities Tomb of Anubis Realm of Discord Nexus of the Void Temple of Zhu Long An important note: There are a few spoilers in this episode for the story of the issues included in the Sentinel Comics RPG Starter Kit. If you want to avoid a minor spoiler, skip from 1:31:20 to 1:32:04. From 1:43:45 to just before 1:48, we do get into a few more notable story spoilers, so listen at your own peril. Or skip that chunk of time, if you want to experience the story in play. We specifically mention incoming spoilers, so you have at least a heads up. As much as this is a settings episode all about environments, this episode also covers a lot of characters who are important to the world of Sentinel Comics. Enjoy! At the end of the episode, we mention that we were going to be recording the upcoming Parse episode between when we recorded this episode and when it aired. Due to some scheduling conflicts, that didn't happen, but we will be recording the Parse episode tomorrow (Wednesday, February 7th). So, you still have a few scant hours to submit Parse questions! Also, we're recording Miss Information's episode as well this week, so get those questions in now! (Last thing! Next Tuesday, February 13th, at 3:00 PM Central Time, I'll be doing a live stream test on the OblivAeon Kickstarter to cover a bunch of Kickstarter and OblivAeon related things. Come hang out!)
Episode 53 - The Operative
She's a smoooooth operator! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:12:59 New intro on today's episode! Trevor's trying out something different! What do you think? Tweet at us and let us know: @SCLettersPage After some light silliness, we get right into her not-very-light backstory. We reference two other episodes a few times in this episode: the Mister Fixer episode, and The Chairman episode. They're both important to this one, so worth giving a quick listen to, though we do rehash a lot of the important points from both of those episodes. Lots of things to talk about with this lady. She's had quite a few twists and turns in her story. The overview in total is under half an hour, but it's jam packed with story and action! Plus, there's even more story that we saved for some juicy questions in the Q&A portion of the show. Speaking of which, just after the 27 minute mark we dive into your questions. Fun bit of Stuntman story a bit before the hour mark. Just so you know. We start the future segment right after the 1:04 mark. We have more Mist Storm Universe stuff than usual for her, as she plays some important roles and for reasons we've never publicly discussed before! Then, we go on to actually reveal some Sentinel Comics Universe story stuff that is also brand new information. We must be feeling generous. Next week is the Supernatural Settings episode, featuring such bizarre environments as Madame Mittermeier's Fantastical Festival of Conundrums and Curiosities, Tomb of Anubis, Realm of Discord, Nexus of the Void, and (relevant to this episode) the Temple of Zhu Long. Get your questions in now!

All of the wibbly-wobbly places! Times? Both! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:01:25 In this episode, we cover the particularly time-travel related environments from the world of Sentinel Comics: Silver Gulch The Final Wasteland Time Cataclysm Outside Time For each of those locations (times?!), we first give an overview, and then use your questions to dig deeper into the stories of that setting. Next week, we'll be talking all about The Operative, so get your questions in now!
Episode 51 - Greazer
You didn't even know that you wanted an episode on an intergalactic bounty hunter, and yet, here we are! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:23:43 In the first five minutes, we devolve into roleplaying as our own characters, so that sets the tone for this entire episode. You're welcome? After that, we get to Hero in the Arena #1, the true first appearance of Greazer. But the bulk of today's overview segment is the discussion of the book "Greazer", which we go over page-by-page of the first few issues. The secret history of Greazer Clutch! 45 minutes into the episode, we get to your questions! During those questions, we realize that tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of The Letters Page! Hooray! Space Champagne for everyone! Then, just after the one hour and 18 minute mark, we wrap up by talking about the future. See you next time! (Send us your questions about The Operative!)
Episode 50 - Sky-Scraper
An episode that towers head and shoulders above all others! Or does it stand as an ant among giants? Only you can tell! Show Notes: Run Time: 1:20:17 We start off by confessing our sins and solving a notable problem... or at least hinting to that problem's solution. But that allows us to move forward with Portja Kip-Pro's story! (Which we start by pointing out a problem raised by the Kaargra Warfang episode, and then solving it. We're problem solvers!) But then we're back on track! Stories include, Hero in the Arena, Under Cover, the Return of Vengeance, and so much more! Then, we get into your question 33 minutes in. Lots of interesting info in the questions, today! Next week is Greazer! Get your questions in now!

Happy New Year! Starting off this new year with a quick 2017 retrospective! Episode 49 - Kaargra Warfang and the Bloodsworn Colosseum
To celebrate Boxing Day, let's talk about the fighters in the cosmic arena! (Yes, yes, we know that Boxing Day has nothing to do with the pugilistic sport of boxing.) Show Notes: Run Time: 1:07:06 After only a couple minutes of jawing about the holidays, your intrepid hosts get right into the history of the Bloodsworn Colosseum in the pages of Sentinel Comics. Around the twelve minute mark, we finally tell an integral part of the Tony Taurus story. Then, on to more and different tales of the Bloodsworn! We start in on your questions a few minutes before the half hour mark. And we start off with a true and proper backstory! And then, around the 34 minute mark, we talk about a thing we messed up. A few minutes before the hour mark, we tell the backstory of a character you've seen before, but never heard of! She's a piece of Sentinel Comics history!
