The company, identified as a black or African-American business, said the loan saved 160 jobs.California business records list Kanye West as the manager of Yeezy LLC, whose sneaker empire reportedly made $1.5 billion last year.Just another reason why West continues to go out of his way to help Trump, the racist president whose current election strategy is to stoke the racial divide. Should statues of Confederate leaders and advocates of slavery and racism be removed in America?Amidst the push for societal reform sparked by the murder of George Floyd, Brianna Taylor, and countless other victims of police brutality and systemic racism, protesters as well as local governments have called for the removal of various monuments.Many of these monuments depict Confederate leaders and advocates of Jim Crow laws, segregation, social Darwinism, and glorify the historical implications of prejudice. President Donald Trump issued an executive order Friday that protects these monuments from protesters – just a little over a week after the Republicans in the Senate unveiled their Justice in Policing Act. In stark comparison to that bill, which would pull funding from local police departments that refuse to eliminate brutal tactics, the Executive Order threatens to withdraw funding from local governments that fail to protect these monuments. I don’t know about you, but I’m getting sick and tired of going out to the store and having to deal with idiots not wearing face masks. What? They think they are immune from catching the coronavirus? So now, the chickens are coming home to roost in the Sunshine State, and it’s not going to be pretty.Likewise, setting their highest totals to date were Georgia, my state of South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah. I can tell you about South Carolina. In a surprise decision that was welcomed by nearly 650,000 young immigrants across the country, the U.S. Supreme Court on June 18 rejected the Trump administration’s effort to toss out the program that protects undocumented immigrants brought to America as children…today, known as “dreamers.”The 5-4 decision, written by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., was a blow to Trump who, since September 2017, has sought to end the program, which had been launched by his predecessor, President Barack Obama via executive order. This is the story of a young dreamer, Carlos Loredo, who was brought by family to the U.S. when he was nine. For some 20 years, he has made a life here and now manages a thriving restaurant in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.Asked what the ruling means to him, Loredo used just one word. Freedom.
