Judah's Story And The Variety Show Of Hearts Telethon
Judah has brain damage, severe chronic lung disease, profound hearing loss, visual impairment, low tone throughout his arms and trunk, high tone in his legs and is G-tube fed. He will continue to be dependent for his mobility as he grows. A standing frame was approved for Judah by Variety this year that provides him with weight bearing support and a tray for him to reach and grab his toys. Health Warnings On Junk Food?!
The federal government wants to make it easier for consumers to choose healthy foods with front-of-package warnings on items that contain high levels of sodium, sugar or saturated fat. High intake of those three ingredients is linked to chronic health conditions and diseases, including obesity, heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes. Currently, consumers must check the list of nutrients on the back of packages. We could see "warning-sign" symbols placed on the front of certain food products.
