Do we ever stop being objectified as women? with Jess

My BIG question this week is around why we still objectify women, regardless of our age. It's something I’ve been thinking about since Martha Stewarts recent Sports Illustrated cover, and want to talk through with you, because giving an appearance related compliment can often be our default when we talk with other women. But are we tired of this message that our value and sense of self worth is purely in what we present on the outside? Is outside validation about our appearance what we want to be our yardstick as women for getting older? Is time we stopped objectifying one another? Let's chat it through in this episode! BIG QUESTION: Why does tuning out on holidays let us tune in to our inner voice?

My BIG QUESTION this week is around tuning in to our inner voice, and why it often requires stepping back from our daily grind to access it. Our daily routines don't always leave a lot of time to reflect and think about where we’re at in our life, what we want to change, what is it that is going to make us happy? My BIG question this week is around school reunions, and why they can bring up all sorts of emotions for us. BIG QUESTION: Are we being ‘brave’ by embracing our grey hair?

My BIG question this week is around embracing our grey ‘sparkles’ and is it a brave thing to do? It's something many of us faced during the Covid lockdowns when we couldn't get to the hairdresser. But if its how we naturally look, and matches the stage of life we’re in, is it the right time? It's also one of those topics that raises the issue of double standards between men and women. Why is it when a male celebrity embraces his grey hair he’s a silver fox and sexy, but when famous woman dares to do the same, she's labelled as brave?
