Military Chaplains Needed
Right now, there is a 50% vacancy in the chaplain positions in the Oregon Air National Guard. Sadly, it’s indicative of the absence of chaplains nationwide. According to Brigadier General David Unruh, a regular listener to Generations Radio and the commander of 2,400 Airmen in Oregon, he sees a great opportunity for ministry. He hopes Generations listeners who are pastors will prayerfully consider serving one weekend per month in the Oregon National Guard -- or the National Guard of their home state -- as a chaplain. After listening to the July 4th podcast about The Black Robed Regiment of 18th century pastors who boldly challenged the men in their church to fight for American independence, he emailed me, Adam McManus, and shared that he has passed out dozens of copies of Pastor Jonas Clark’s sermon following the Battle of Lexington to Christian officers. On May 2, 1778, General George Washington issued a unique order for the Continental Army at Valley Forge. It read, “The Commander-in-Chief directs that divine services be performed every Sunday at 11 o’clock on each brigade which has chaplains. While we are duly performing the duty of good soldiers, we are not to be inattentive to the highest duties of religion.” Brigadier General Unruh said, “The role of ministers serving as military chaplains is older than our nation and is as foundational as any other dearly-held principle of liberty upon which our nation was founded. I personally believe all the other principles of liberty rest on Gospel freedom.” He added, “I am surprised that conservative and reformed Christians do not understand that the Dominion Mandate in Genesis and the Great Commission in Matthew necessarily imply risk and sacrifice.” He cited great historical role models who were willing to take a stand in their day like chaplains should take a stand for Christ today. * Athinasius – who boldly spoke out against the heresy of Arianism, the view that Jesus was not divine as taught by Arius. Athinasius declared, “If the world is against the truth, then I will be against the world.” * John Knox, the Scottish reformer, who stood for Biblical truth, famously said, “The man who stands with God is always in the majority.” Brigadier General Unruh said, “Knox understood the nature of pastoral mathematics.” * The Apostle Paul who boldly preached the Gospel to Agrippa (Acts 25:13-26:32) and to Caesar. Jewish Man Trusts Christ
Ironically, on the same day that New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg dropped charges against many of the antisemitic protestors who ransacked Columbia University, June 20, 2024, more than 600 Jewish and Christian participants gathered inside the Palladium Theater in New York City’s Times Square to rally against the global scourge of antisemitism. The event, organized by Chosen People Ministries, was entitled “Oppose Antisemitism: Stop the Hate.” Guest host Adam McManus interviews Rich Flashman, a Jewish man who trusted Jesus as his Messiah and is now the leader of the Manhattan, New York branch of Chosen People Ministries which was founded 130 years ago to bring the Gospel to the Jews. In the first half of today’s Generations Radio podcast, you’ll hear his intriguing testimony of how God used Isaiah 53 and the bold evangelistic witness of a fellow college student at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst to bring Flashman to Christ. According to the Anti Defamation League, in the three months following the October 7th massacre in Israel when Hamas attacked, there were 3,291 U.S. antisemitic incidents. That’s a whopping 361% increase between October 8, 2023 and January 7, 2024 compared to the same time period the year before. Dr. Michael Brown, a Jewish believer in Jesus and the host of The Line of Fire radio program, spoke to the 4 Satanic reasons why Jews have been hated. 1. God chose the Jewish people for a special mission which Satan wants to thwart. 2. God has guaranteed the Jewish people’s ongoing existence, so Satan seeks their annihilation. 3. God promised the land of Israel to the Jewish people, so Satan wants to drive them out. 4. The Messiah is returning to a Jewish Jerusalem, so Satan wants it out of Jewish hands Brown insisted, “The purposes of God will stand and Satan will be defeated in Yeshua’s name!” Plus, you’ll hear the powerful song by Christian musician Aaron Shust entitled “Jerusalem” which is based on Psalm 122. Albert Einstein declared, “If I were to remain silent, I’d be guilty of complicity.” Here are 5 ways you can bless the Jews. 1. Pray for the Jewish people and encourage churches to pray at a main service. 2. Speak out against local acts of antisemitism. 3. Take action through public demonstrations, rallies, lectures, and social media in support of the Jewish community. 4. Demonstrate support for Jewish students on local college campuses. 5. Support Jewish friends and visit a local synagogue to let them know, “I am praying for your safety.” (make it personal) If you are an undergraduate or graduate college student, or you have a child or grandchild who is, consider attending the free Courage Conference at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago between August 15-18. Plus, half of your transportation costs – whether by car or plane – will be reimbursed!New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Girl Scouts “Gay” Pride Patch
Did you know that the Girl Scouts is now giving the 1.7 million girls in its program the opportunity to earn a homosexual pride patch? To qualify, the younger Girl Scouts are required to attend three God-forsaken homosexual pride events like the non-family friendly marches! And the older Girl Scouts are required to attend six homosexual pride events. Plus, their bizarre “patch” work involves creating a painting of a famous homosexual and compiling a music playlist of 12 homosexual singers. And last summer, the Girl Scouts implemented its Camp Culture Code document which requires all Girl Scouts and its leaders to use the biologically incorrect pronouns of gender-confused girls who are pretending to be boys. Guest host Adam McManus interviews Patti Garibay, founder of American Heritage Girls, a Christ-centered scouting program for girls in which his 12-year-old daughter, Mercy, participates. Garibay discusses the 35-page e-book entitled “Raising Godly Girls Guide to Gender and Identity” which will empower parents a guide through the secular maze of gender and identity in a chaotic and confused culture. A recent report revealed that the majority of adolescents who start to question their gender identity in America are girls. And nearly 30% of Gen Z women identify as homosexual, transgender, or confused. Garibay, the host of the new Raising Godly Girls Podcast, said “American Heritage Girls provides a space that celebrates the Biblical femininity inside every girl who was purposefully designed by God. He has created men and women differently on purpose. For centuries, the beauty of God-given femininity has been under attack, its definition debated, its behavior contested. Secular humanism has attempted to destroy the beautiful model of femininity and transform it into an equal model to masculinity. “Today, it has gone one step further to claim an embrace of non-binary sexual identity. With all this confusion in our society, it is no wonder that this debate has filtered down to our youngest members: our children. This is no coincidence. Satan is in for the long haul. As Christians, we must engage in this debate. Scripture is clear.” That’s why, in partnership with True Girl, American Heritage Girls is offering three Biblically-focused patches that affirm a girl’s God-given identity.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Ministering in Ukraine
On this edition of Generations, Kevin Swanson interviews Gerald Huebner of GHEX about Christian education in Ukraine and beyond, as both Kevin and Gerald prepare to go into Ukraine to minister to Christian families that continue to disciple their children in God's Word in the middle of a war zone. We are reminded how much more important the advancement of God's Kingdom is compared to the meager geopolitical forces around the world. Be in prayer for the team as they head into Ukraine and the middle of a war zone.

The Black-Robed Regiment
On this Independence Day, discover how the pastors of the American colonies, derisively called the Black-Robed Regiment by the British, boldly taught their congregations the Biblical principles to resist tyranny. Guest host Adam McManus interviews Dan Fisher, author of Bringing Back the Black Robed Regiment: How the 18th century church stood for liberty and why it must do so again. Dan is the co-pastor of Fairview Baptist in Edmond, Oklahoma, a former member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 2012-2015, and ran for Governor in 2018. His vision is that the American church will regain the “spirit” of the original “Black-Robed Regiment,” and once again actively engage in defense of truth and liberty. In an impressive 60-minute, multi-media presentation in full period costume, Dan travels the country to portray these heroic men of American history complete with verified artifacts from our War of Independence. (Check out his schedule). Adam and Pastor Fisher discuss: * Pastor Peter Muhlenberg of Woodstock, Virginia who took off his black robe in the pulpit, revealing a colonel’s uniform, and challenged the men to fight. * Pastor Jonas Clarke of Lexington, Massachusetts who trained his men to prepare for the April 19, 1775 showdown with the British which led to the shot heard ‘round the world on Lexington Green. * Pastor James Caldwell of Elizabethtown, New Jersey who brought hymnals to the Minutemen to use for wadding to fight the British. * Pastor Naphtali Daggett, president of Yale, who rallied 100 students to fight the Redcoats, which led to his capture and brutal treatment. * Pastor John Treadwell of Lynn, Massachusetts, who kept a loaded Flintlock in his pulpit, and who narrowly escaped death at the Battle of Bennington in Vermont. * The disturbing similarity between the church in pre-World War II Germany and the American church today. Both have, by and large, remained silent in the face of evil.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Grooming in the Church
In light of Pastor Robert Morris’ sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl over several years in his 20s, which led to his recent resignation from Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, guest host Adam McManus interviewed Elizabeth Good, a sexual trauma expert and author of Groomed: Overcoming the Messages That Shaped Our Past and Limit Our Future. As someone who experienced sexual abuse as a pre-teen and went on to counsel thousands of sexual trauma survivors, Elizabeth founded TheFoundationUnited.org and brings a unique lens to the Robert Morris situation. She explains that an abused person is more likely to act out the abuse they experienced on someone else, enter an abusive relationship or pass it on to their children, who will probably repeat the cycle, if not escalate it. It’s generational if it remains unspoken and unhealed. Currently, 1 out of 2 children are experiencing adverse childhood experiences. With no off ramps or mechanism to process that trauma, it gets buried – but it never stays buried. While sexual trauma statistically begins at 3-4 years of age, research shows that victims don’t speak about it until in their 50s – and by then another generation has been affected. She says, “Those who don’t have an offramp for processing that sexual trauma – especially children – will continue the cycle. Even early exposure to porn – which is almost unavoidable with today’s technology – can lead children down either one of two paths – victim or abuser.” Her latest book, Speak the Unspeakable: Real Talk on Secrets, Sex and Being Set Free, helps people stop concealing their trauma. Her work creating Real Talk for kindergarten students through senior leadership is helping people combat the dangers of hidden trauma and “unspeakable” secrets, transforming families, corporations, and the Church worldwide.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Is Cursing Language Cool?
Why so much cursing among the presidents and presidential candidates, especially over the last ten years? Does cursing reinforce a cool image, a tough guy image, a fearless, confident image? Here is a take away: "The Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His Name in vain." We cover the best presidents and the worst, when it comes to this matter of the fear of God. When will this nation come back to the only foundational matter that matters—the fear of God in politics?

Transgendering and Women in Combat
Following Obergefell, Bostock, and Harris Funeral Homes, the US Supreme Court will drop the next bomb in a few months. Amy Coney Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, and John Roberts are poised to do . . . the wrong thing. The US Supreme Court already failed parents in Washington DC with schools facilitating the transgendering of the kids. What will they do now? The biblical principle contained in Deuteronomy 22:5 connects transgendering, crossdressing, and women in combat.

SCOTUS Waffles on 1st Amendment
Nazi Germany and communist countries are no fun because it's hard to be under the omnipresent eye of the thought police and the censors. SCOTUS cracked open the door to the censors, especially the more sophisticated and coercive sort—which is precisely what this case was all about. Will there be a principled minority around in 2045 to stand for liberty . . . or not?New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Diversity - Jesus Style
You've heard about celebrating diversity, which usually entails a lumping of sexual proclivities with cultural and ethnic differences. How then do we cross cultural boundaries without falling into a pattern of judgmentalism, looking down on others, and jingoism? Jesus crossed a universe to minister to sinners. Would you cross the road to meet with somebody from a different background who needs Jesus?New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Shield Laws, DIY Abortions, and Civil War
There is far less need for abortion clinics now, given that about half of the kill pill abortions are do-it-yourself (DIY). The US Supreme Court isn’t about to curtail access to abortions by mail. Half of Wyoming abortions are conducted by the kill pill by mail program. But Colorado is committed to shielding citizens who reach across borders for their kills. What should Texas do? If Colorado slave traders kidnapped Texas citizens in order to enslave them into the sex trade (and the slave traders were protected by Colorado law) . . . what would Texas do? Saul’s policies of accommodation and compromise on principle aren’t going to produce any meaningful repentance.

Why Strict Homeschool Families Implode
We come upon yet another public story of a Christian fundamentalist with an externalist facade imploding all over the TV screen to the delight of the TLC reality show producers. There is a form of religiosity that lacks the power thereof, and the story is only told a billion times over around the world. Considering the extraordinary number of catastrophes coming upon a great many homeschooling and fundamentalist families, we lay out the five core issues that are too often missing among those who appear to be the most religious.New kids and family podcast from Generations - TeachMeTheFaith.com

Christians Oppose In Vitro Fertilization
The Southern Baptists are leading the charge against the unethical practices of IVF. But that only addresses 0.1% of the problem of abortions by conception control and intervention. We explain why IVF and abortifacients are contrary to the laws of God. But how does a Christian redeem twisted systems like polygamy, slavery, concubinage, and IVF?

Bukele to Carlson: The End of Democracy
El Salvador’s president fears God, but then he forecasts the end of democracy and the end of western civilization in an interview with Tucker Carlson. Are the leaders bent on destroying our civilization as suspected? We present four possible scenarios for the end of a civilization, and then point out the history of liberties as established by Christians over a thousand years.

The Spiritual Revival of Spurgeon's England
Charles Spurgeon was the most-published author of the 19th century, and his life marks the last major spiritual revival of England. But, it was the downgrade that killed him. How Christianity Grows
Another mega-church pastors steps down. After a 40-year experiment with the mega-ministry thing, we've finally come to the conclusion that the kingdom of God does not come with observation. The growth is much more under the radar, quiet, and seemingly inconspicuous. The mega-power game, the centralization of control, just doesn't work for the church of Jesus.

The Most Pro-Life States Tipping to Abortion
The most pro-life states in America (on most recent polls) are Idaho, Utah, Arkansas, and South Dakota. But the voters in these pro-life states tend to go pro-abortion when they vote on referendums. What gives? We grapple with this question and provide a few answers. What's wrong with the heartland of America? Reform, however, must begin with churches who will take the principled stand—personhood from conception.

Women Pastors in the Southern Baptist Church
The Southern Baptist Convention has historically been one of the largest conservative Christian organizations within the country. We’re currently seeing another battle occur within the convention over feminism and women pastors. The battle isn’t over yet. Feminism and egalitarianism are gigantic forces in America, and they’re affecting the churches. Kevin and Bill Jack discuss the issues of feminism and women pastors in American churches on this edition of the program.

Women Leftist Leadership in the World
Women are leading—ten times more so than they did in the 1970s and 1980s. And women political leaders are two times to three times more liberal than men. This is the end of men and freedom in the world. Boys are disadvantaged by 40 percent born without fathers, and 60 percent of custody cases are rolling to mom. That makes for 66 percent of boys not having dads for large portions of their lives. Where do we go from here? Pilgrims and Strangers or World Changers?
Are we supposed to be pilgrims and strangers, or are we called to be world changers? Would pilgrims and strangers ever address themselves to the job of discipling the nations? Are pastors concerned with keeping politics out of the church, or equipping the man and woman of God to every good work? Christ's admonitions concerning salt and light are not merely descriptives, but prescriptives.

Why the Elite Want to Take Over the Country
The Elite are highly-educated liberal city dwellers, and they want to take over the country. They want to eliminate the vote for the uneducated and saddle the citizenry with more government control of every aspect of their lives. That according to a new Rasmussen report. The Title IX Trojan Horse
The Biden administration has taken a tremendous step towards transgenderizing 13,000 school districts and 50,000,000 kids in this country. Governments secure centralized control of an institution, and then they pervert it, in that order. That's the way it works every time. Christians should take the principled stand, especially on Title IX. Governments have no business controlling education and the marketplace with Title IX-type regulations. State of Christianity in the West and the World
The fastest-growing church in the UK is the Chinese church. But the most phenomenal development of the last century was the tradeoff from West to East. The West lost ground and the East gained all of that ground back for itself. Christian adherents in Europe and North America as a percentage of the world population dropped by more than half between 1900 and 2023 (from 21.9% to 10.5%), while the percentage of Christians in Asia, Africa, and South America increased from 6% to exactly 21.9% of the world population.
