Bonus Episode - Game 3 of the NBA Finals
Game 3 was exactly what we all EXPECTED from the NBA Finals with Steph Curry going off and the Raptors winning. Bonus Episode - June 3rd, 2019 - NBA Finals Recap for Games 1 and 2
These Finals are strange... Just strange so far. Probably because I'm still trying to get used to the Cavs not being there and I'm trying to get used to a series that I thought the Raptors didn't stand a chance in originally. Game 1 - Raptors shocked the world and came out swinging. Game 2 - Warriors answered with some minor adjustments and big games from some role players. Why is Steve Kerr such a good coach? Who was the "X" Factor for the Warriors? What to expect moving forward? All this and more on this bonus episode of the show! ______________________________________________________ Where to Find Me: iTunes - https://apple.co/2syRPkw Spotify - http://spoti.fi/2oVVZ36 Stitcher - http://bit.ly/2sR9m90 TuneIn - http://bit.ly/2Fx5UlU Audible Free Trial: audibletrial.com/thegametimeguru

Bonus Episode - May 29th, 2019 - Why the Raptors Won "The Trade"
Anyone else forget the Raptors had Home Court Advantage throughout the Finals? I failed in my duties as a sports "guru" and totally missed that piece. Could this potentially be an advantage for Toronto going into their first NBA Finals even though the betting public has Golden State as the favorite? Also, how in the world do I think the Raptors win the trade EVEN IF Kawhi leaves? Listen in and find out! Thanks for being a subscriber to the show! Running is a tough thing to do. All throughout my sports journey I have ALWAYS hated running. I will give my insight on the matter and explain what I think is the problem with fans saying what they want. What needs to be done so the fans can still create that homecourt / homefield advantage without having them create a contreversial moment with certain things said to the players? Episode 89 - Kyle Lamb - College Football and THE Ohio State Buckeyes
Before the college football season began, there was a Twitter battle amongst those who sided with Brett McMurphy and those who sided with Urban Meyer when the news broke of the former assistant, Zach Smith's alleged domestic violence "charges" that came out. It was at this time I discovered Kyle Lamb, a journalist from Ohio who covers the Buckeyes on the Unscripted Ohio Podcast. The way in which Kyle approached the entire situation was amazing (which we'll discuss today). I began following Kyle and have since kept up with his work as it is truly awesome to witness what he does to continuously cover College Football with integrity. Episode 88: Mike Prater and Damon Amendolara
This episode is very special as we bring on two amazing guests to share their knowledge with The Gametime Guru listeners. A few months back we interviewed Alex Gold in which we were able to hear more about his background and his show, which at the time was called "The Drive" on ESPN Boise. Just a few short weeks later, ESPN Boise announced they would no longer be doing work in the treasure valley and instead made a change to an alternative rock station. This left just one major sports station to cover sports locally in Boise. We bring on KTIK's very own, Mike Prater to the show to discuss this and give us his perspective on the matter. Mike brings years of experience to the table as he's worked in sports for quite some time. My co-host, C.C. Hawkley conducts an amazing interview with Mike and it is well worth the listen. In that interview C.C. and Mike discuss the fall of ESPN Boise and also the partnership with CBS Sports Radio. How did CBS step up to the plate? Well one of the ways is by providing some amazing sports coverage from the national level. In the mornings, we get to hear from Damon Amendolara each morning on "The D.A. Show." Just a few months ago, the crew from "The D.A. Show" came to Boise to do a tour and I had an amazing opportunity of speaking with D.A. for just two short minutes. They are two minutes I'll never forget as I was able to be recorded, on record, with someone I look up to in the industry. This is a great episode as you'll hear from me, C.C., Mike, and D.A. Episode 87 - Part 1 - Coach Mike Christianson
A few years back, when ESPN Boise was still here, I remember listening to Mike Christianson "Coach Mike" on the radio and thought, man, I really like this guy and what he's brining to the Treasure Valley. He had been around the game for many years not only as a player but as a coach. The final interview of the series is with the founder of our sponsor, The Idaho Gaming League (or IGL for short), Chad Mann. Chad has a background in traditional sports, which is something we have seen multiple times during our interviews for this project. Competition, team work, socializing, having fun, are just some of the different parts of competing in a formal setting. The IGL gives gamers in Idaho the opportunity to do this. IGL is the first of its kind here in Idaho and has been received very well with the community. Gaming is becoming more and more mainstream and Chad and his team are working to make eSports as mainstream as any other traditional sport in the state of Idaho.
