Ep 168S4E31: Why Focusing On Your Mental Health May Be Keeping You Stuck In Business And Life: The Difference Between Mental Health And Mental Fitness
EIn this episode, we break down why shifting your focus from mental health to mental fitness can transform your life. While mental health aims to keep you free from illness, mental fitness equips you to meet life’s challenges head-on, helping you not just survive, but thrive. We dive deep into the pitfalls of our culture’s obsession with mental health and how it unintentionally holds high-achievers back. By aiming solely for mental health, we risk capping our potential. Instead, building mental fitness opens up your capacity to take on stress, fear, and obstacles without being overwhelmed. It’s about training resilience, cultivating clarity, and developing your character to become the best version of yourself. Learn how training your mental fitness shifts your perspective from seeing challenges as threats to seeing them as opportunities for growth. With the right mindset and practice, you can boost your ability to achieve success in business, personal development, and relationships, all while building a protective buffer against life’s inevitable hardships.

Ep 166S4E29: How to Set Goals That Align with Your Purpose: The Power of Nested Goals
EIn the blistering heat of Western Australia, a small group of weary soldiers faced an unexpected enemy. Armed with 10,000 rounds each and every ounce of determination they could muster, they were tasked with taking down an invasion force of 20,000. But their adversaries weren’t elite special forces—they were emus. Yes, emus. In this episode, we dive into the tale of the Great Emu War of 1932, an infamous campaign where Australian troops found themselves outwitted and outmaneuvered by a flock of massive, flightless birds. The operation became a public embarrassment, exposing critical flaws in strategy, communication, and clarity. Using this surreal story as a springboard, we explore how lack of clear goals, vision, and alignment can doom even the most well-equipped efforts. Just like these soldiers found themselves lost and overwhelmed, many entrepreneurs struggle to set meaningful goals and find direction in their work. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Tune in to learn how setting clear, purposeful goals can transform your business and life, saving you from your own version of the “Great Emu War.” And don’t miss the chance to read more on this at TomFoxley.me/blog, where you’ll find practical tips to align your goals, avoid wasted effort, and create the success you’re looking for. ---- Blog link: https://www.tomfoxley.me/post/nested-goals

In this episode, I’ll help you break free from that cycle by exploring the four key "freedom currencies" that every entrepreneur should aim for—financial, geographical, time, and personal freedom. These currencies are the pillars of living a life by your design, not one dictated by the mainstream. We’ll ask the tough questions: How free do you feel right now, truly? Are you living the life you want, or just spinning plates, chained to your business? You’ll discover how to re-engineer your life, reverse the grind, and design a future where freedom is the norm, not the exception. Ep 151S4E14: 7 Lessons from 6000 Metres: Extreme Personal Development
EWelcome back to the freedom project podcast. Thanks for putting up with the two week absence of podcasts. Things have been a little crazy since I got back from Pakistan. Fair to say, life is full steam ahead. My wife is 17 weeks pregnant, we’re due to move into our first house purchase in 6 days’ time, and during all of that, I went to an uncontactable region of the world & experienced the most incredible times. I said in a podcast a few months back, that at some point, you have to just say “fuck it” and book the trip. The months between then and now, have been crazy. I’ve been forced to grow more than I expected, and in a completely different direction from normal. I’ve learned far more than I bargained for, and I want to pass as much of that on to you as possible. So, in light of that, I am giving you access to a training I put together for my clients in the Adventurepreneur Collective. It’s called 7 lessons from 6000 metres: a guide to personal development. It’s a summary of the most essential lessons I learned. Now, because I want to protect the privacy of the members of the collective, there are some pieces that are edited out. So there may be some pieces you feel are non sequiturs. That being said, you guys are all intelligent and you’ll be able to piece together what is missing. So, here are 7 lessons from 6000 metres. Enjoy

Ep 142S4E05: Life's Final Reflections: Unveiling the Secrets to a Good Life with Heath Piper
EIn my mind, the podcast you’re about to listen to could be the most important podcast I’ve ever recorded. I’ll prep you, it’s a bit of an emotional roller coaster. So be warned. The emotional highs and lows are worth it though because the lessons are the ones we all need to hear. I haven’t stopped talking about it with my friends and family since I finished it up. If you’ve ever wondered what really makes a good life… …or what people really regret in their final years… …or what most people wish they had done differently in their lives, then this is the podcast for you. Today, I am interviewing Heath Piper, the founder of Playback Interviews. Heath interviews the life stories of the elderly so their families have a deeply personal memoir. Even though these interviews are strictly confidential to the families, Heath has given us an insight into the lessons that have moved him most, both emotionally and forward in life. This podcast is rife with stories and lessons. --- Before I get to the show, I want to give you a very quick update on my coaching services because things are shifting. The Adventurepreneur Collective has evolved and has become what I’ve always been longing to coach: how to be who you’re supposed to be. We cover three essential topics: how to stop living a life that doesn’t make you into who you’re supposed to be, how to stop feeling frantic, imprecise and rushed, and how to rid yourself of an unclear mind. Anyway, here’s the update: I’m changing the way I deliver this coaching & making it far more of a deep experience. I’m only working with those who apply & fit the bill, and I’m limiting the membership to 40 members at any one time. What’s more, I’m only going to be accepting 4 new sign ups per month. The group is currently 15 strong, with another two joining in the April batch. So there’s only two more spaces to be had before May. If you’re interested in exploring what more freedom, self mastery, and effectiveness would do in your life, shoot me a message on Instagram. You’ll need to head to instagram and search for my name, Tom Foxley. --- Now, let’s get on with an incredible show with Heath Piper, I think you’re going to love this one.
