Learning to love yourself is easier said than done but part of loving yourself is learning to stop living in the past. All those shoulda, woulda, coulda’s don’t define you! Today I want to talk about some very important thought provoking, yet sensitive, and triggering topics; so please keep this in mind as you listen to today’s episode. Have you had trouble loving yourself as a result of the things that happened to you? Maybe there have been times where the people closest to you hurt you; physically, emotionally, maybe even sexually? There isn’t anything you have done or happened to you that can keep you from becoming the woman you were created to be. That can take away your worth! Have you really learned how to love yourself and the woman that you are now? Are you having thoughts that are destructive and are not serving you? As a woman you wear so many hats; whether you are a mom, you’re juggling a full time job, school, and even running your own business! You put others before yourself and before you even realize it at some point you end up on autopilot mode without asking yourself what your wants and needs are. What happens when you start to blur the lines and serve others only; forgetting about your own identity? How can you fill everyone else’s cup if yours is empty? As someone who had to put her kids before herself when my husband was working crazy hours, I believed that this was how I found my value. But I learned that I needed to start putting myself first in order to live a life that I could truly enjoy! Who doesn’t want a life full of joy and peace, right? Girl, let me tell you, it was not easy! Part of the process involved me having to confront my past and take my hurts, pains, and traumatic experiences and rewrite them. Because I knew that what happened to me actually happened for me and I - like you - deserve to live as the Hero of my story and not a victim! When you have experienced rejection early on, you have a wound of rejection and don't even realize it. Whether it was rejection from family, friends, a relationship or a job you may tend to feel that you're not good enough as a woman. Rejection is common but many people do not want to talk about it, because we feel ashamed to be rejected. Can I just say this to you? Rejection doesn't define you and it can actually be a blessing in disguise. If a friend rejected you, it's possible that you've outgrown that friendship. If toxic family has rejected you, it could actually be a blessing because they may have hindered where God is taking you. Many times starting something, whether it's school or a business feels like dating! You're on cloud nine and you're excited about this new thing, and you feel like WOW this SO is amazing! But, then someone says something and you feel like giving up. Maybe you joined a direct sales company and you are so excited to share this product with others, but then you realize that no one really cares about it, or someone tells you that you're crazy for starting that. Well that's what we are going to talk about. You see starting something from scratch is never easy and it takes time. It's a process and you can't skip that part. You have to keep going even if you don't see anything happening right away. People give up too early and never see their idea / goal come to pass. They don't give themselves time to go through the process that comes with starting something from the beginning. They don't allow it to evolve. On this episode I am also going to talk about Self-Sabotaging, and what happens when people do this? I'll also talk to you about pivoting your idea instead of giving up. I pray that this episode gives you some clarity but also encourages you to keep going and not give up. Whatever you do and whatever your goals are, do NOT give up Sis! Do you struggle with comparing yourself to other women? Have you ever struggled with this? The truth is sometimes we don't even know that we're comparing ourselves to other people. It's so easy to do this, especially with social media. But what we don't always know is what that person is going through, and sometimes we tend to assume that we know. Like think about the girl who is probably hustling hard trying to get out of debt, and then she is finally able to afford all the things she wants, but for years she wasn't able to do that. You see her post a picture of her new car on social media and you make the assumption that her boyfriend bought it for her. But, actually she just worked hard to get it. The other thing is that everyone likes to post juicy highlights about themselves on social media, and you don't always get the facts. Personally, I don't know very many people who will openly admit that they are struggling. How many people post about their lights getting cut off? Let's get real for a minute! On this episode I want to encourage you and remind you that you have been created by God in a very unique way. You have strengths and gifts that someone else doesn't. Hey Girl, welcome back to a new episode of The Fearless Mujer. I am so happy that you're joining me again. This month we are talking about healing, because it's the month of love and healing is something that we need to talk about. It's fun to talk about all of the empowering things, but before we can talk about those things we really need to get through some healing. I realize that in one month we are not going to fully be able to heal from things, but we can start the healing journey. It takes time to heal, and there is no set time to when that actually happens. But, it also takes effort on our part to want the healing. So as I mentioned on the previous episodes, it's time to take the band-aid off of our wounds. As women one of our main struggles is feeling loved and valued. It is in our nature to desire to feel loved, valued and appreciated, but before we can receive love from others we have to learn to love ourselves. You can love yourself as a woman by learning to heal, it is so important to acknowledge this. Do you distract yourself from the thing that's hurting you, and do you try to block it out? I have been there, and doing that is not going to help you heal. Are you allowing your emotions to control you and overpower you, have you acknowledged the thing that hurts you, and have you acknowledged your emotions towards the pain? Girl, it's time to stop allowing your emotions to control you and it's also time that you become aware of what you are feeling. Do you really know why you're suffering? Hey Amiga, welcome back to a new episode of The Fearless Mujer. I'm really happy that you're sharing a few minutes of your time with me. It's February and everyone gets really excited about Valentine's Day, well most people do. It's that one holiday where we get to really focus on the love that we may have for another person. It's in our human nature to really want to feel loved, cherished and special, and in honor of February being the "love month", and also because I love you guys, and when I say that, I mean it, I really love, you! So this month I am talking about healing, because if I didn't love you all, (my sister friends) then I wouldn't talk about that. Healing is one of those things that is really hard, and honestly I've had so many wounds in my life and so many setbacks. I can tell you one thing, if you're not healing, if you're not trying to heal from those things that have happened to you, you're not going to be 100%. You're not going to be able to give of yourself or even impart into others. If you're a mom and you're listening, it's so important that you begin to heal. A lot of women are carrying wounds from childhood that they don't need to carry anymore, or they're carrying labels that other people put on them. It's time to let that go. It's a challenge for me to go there, to talk about pain and wounds, because I don't want to talk about that. But, I know in my heart that I'm not being true to myself If I try to act like oh yeah we're going to be empowered today, here's some tips for you. Sis, we have to go to the hard places. Some of you might get mad at me when I talk about things because you're going to get triggered. If it's too much Amiga, I am going to tell you what I have said before, please go to counseling, counseling is awesome! I can't wait to spend this whole month empowering you, sharing my heart, and also letting go of the things that don't belong to us anymore.
