After many allegations of deception, billions of dollars invested in military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, officials now claim they're just about out of nickels with regards to compensating First Responders and others who sacrificed their lives on the day of the attacks. Speaking of abandoning U.S. civilians, 12 years after the levee failure and Hurricane Katrina decimated the Gulf region, Hurricane Florence has already drowned North Carolina leaving hundreds of thousands without electricity. The C.O.W.S. Dr. Tommy Curry Part 10: Serena Williams and The Man-Not

The Context of White Supremacy welcomes the return of Dr. Tommy Curry. With research interests in philosophy, jurisprudence, Africana Studies, and gender studies, Dr. Curry is currently an associate professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Texas A&M. We've had the pleasure of discussing Dr. Curry's most recent text, The Man-Not: Race, Class, Genre, and the Dilemmas of Black Manhood. We'll see how the book has been received in its first year of publication. We're especially excited to hear Dr. Curry's thoughts on an edit to Gus's review of The Man-Not. Listeners may not be aware of the fact that Dr. Curry is an avid tennis aficionado, so Gus thought it would be highly informative to hear Dr. Curry's views on the controversial U.S. Open, where Serena Williams lost to Japan's Naomi Osaka in the championship match. After all the ballyhoo, Gus still predicts Whites will keep Mr. Trump in the White house beyond 2020. Speaking of shams, Nike - world renown for sweatshops and watching black children slaughter each other in silence for sneakers, selected former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick as their apparel pitchman. The C.O.W.S. w/ Jasmine Iona Brown: Black Art Meets White Supremacy in Seattle

The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Jasmine Iona Brown. Ms. Brown is a Seattle, Washington artist and mother of a black son. She recently had images of her teenage son, Jaymin, reading a book while wearing a hoodie - and homage to Trayvon Martin, who was killed in 2012, posted all throughout the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. Not long after, her portraits were mutilated, in one instance, her son's image was totally defaced as if her has been devoured leaving only his sneakers. Ms. Brown's artwork was replaced, only to be vandalized again. Tyrone Baason wrote about this incident for the Seattle Times, noting: "It’s unclear who’s behind the vandalism. But if this is how people respond to harmless pictures of her son, Brown wonders, how does that bode for Jaymin himself?" We'll ask Ms. Brown how this incident has changed her understanding of White Supremacy. Incidentally, Gus is very familiar with this area of Seattle, as he's been a Capitol Hill resident for nearly a full calendar year in response to the great flood of 2017.

We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS This week, President Donald J. Trump provided an excellent reminder that the System of White Supremacy is an international business by tweeting his solidarity with and concern for Whites in South Africa. The U.S. president was addressing current efforts on the continent to return stolen land to black people. Nationwide prison strikes in the United States also addressed the ongoing enslavement of black people. In North Carolina, students banded together to topple a monument to a Confederate soldier. Many such statues remain throughout the state, country and world. Suspected Race Soldiers in Georgia may have responded to the possibility of the first black female governor in the state by closing a number of voting facilities in the state's "black belt". They rescinded this decision after their act generated national attention. Not surprisingly, the voting facilities that were to be closed were in areas with a high population of black voters. And sadly, former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan passed away at the age of 80 (cowbell). In addition to mourning the loss of Annan and Aretha Franklin days earlier, C.O.W.S. listeners just became aware of the passing of author and Victim of White Supremacy Pamela Evans Harris. The C.O.W.S. Zora Neale Hurston's Barracoon: The Story of The Last "Black Cargo" Part 3 (Conclusion)

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our third and final study session on Zora Neale Hurston's Barracoon. Born in 1891, Hurston was a writer and anthropologist who was a legendary contributor to the Harlem Renaissance. She worked with anthropologists Franz Boaz and Margaret Mead, won a Guggenheim Fellowship, and authored an impressive array of material, including her most popular title, Their Eyes Were Watching God. Although she died in 1960, she continues to contribute new works. Earlier this year, Hurston's Barracoon: The Story of the Last "Black Cargo," was finally released to the public. The book chronicles her 1927 interviews of Cudjo Lewis (Kossola), reported to be the last living survivor of the Middle Passage. Hurston uses the unique speaking style of Mr. Lewis to authentically share his voice and experiences of being stolen and terrorized. Last week's session offers details on Kossola's life after slavery, which including having his own family. He regularly cites how no count African-Americans ridiculed he and his family for their African traditions. The lone exception was a black male who offered Christian-soaked humanity and the bible of White Jesus. It strikes Gus as highly peculiar that a White Woman, Charlotte "The Godmother" Mason would pay Hurston and Kossola for their part in Barracoon. And equally peculiar that a black male in early 20th century Alabama would submit that most of his problems and tribulations with people have been with African Americans. #AntiBlackness #BlackLoveIsARevolutionaryAct

The Commander and Chief used social media to brand his former employee a "crazed, crying lowlife," and a "dog." Speaking of animals, a black Oregon horse was horribly abused until his named was changed to "Justice." The newly christened steed has a pending Supreme Court case to affirm his constitutional rights. While the mightiest court in the land adjudicates rights of a horse, Pennsylvania is investigating another massive child rape scandal in the state. Many Suspected Racist members of The Roman Catholic Church have been accused of approximately 1,000 acts of child rape and molestation. A number of Whites participated in concealing this demonic behavior for years, which again corroborates Gus's conclusion that Whites are the greatest proponents of the "no snitch" gang policy. This also conifrms Gus's conclusion that Whites do not value children. This week also saw the passing of entertainment icon, Aretha Franklin. She died at the age of 76. Franklin's father was a comrade of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and she used her immense talents to counter-racism. Continuing the political activism, Brown's mother, Lezley McSpadden announced she's running for City Council. She and others have also requested the re-opening of the criminal investigation in to her son's death. Wildfires continue to ravage dozens of acres in California. While kudos are doled out to the brave firefighters risking their lives to contain the blaze, the Los Angeles Times reported that a black firefighter had his private property smeared with feces by his fellow firefighters. One year after the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, the dead White Woman Heather Heyer is projected as more heroic then Marvel's Black Panther. The C.O.W.S. Zora Neale Hurston’s Barracoon Part 2

The Context of White Supremacy hosts our second study session on Zora Neale Hurston's Barracoon. Born in 1891, Hurston was a writer and anthropologist who's cited as a legendary contributor to the Harlem Renaissance. She worked with anthropologists Franz Boaz and Margaret Mead, won a Guggenheim Fellowship, and authored an impressive array of material, including her most popular title, Their Eyes Were Watching God. Although she died in 1960, she continues to contribute new works. Earlier this year, Hurston's Barracoon: The Story of the Last "Black Cargo," was finally released to the public. The book chronicles her 1927 interviews of Cudjo Lewis (Kossola), reported to be the last living survivor of the Middle Passage. Hurston uses the unique vernacular of Mr. Lewis to authentically share his voice and experiences of being stolen and terrorized. The first portion of the text features two introductions and a forward from Alice Walker. A great deal of time is invested emphasizing that Africans were not just victims of slavery. Walker's 2018 commentary and editor Deborah G. Plant's introduction both stress that African kings quarreled with other Africans and sold them off to Whites. The introductions also detail the importance Hurston attached to the unique dialog of Kossola. This week saw lots of new releases in the genre of black death with a documentary reflecting on the changes in Ferguson in the four years since the police killing of Michael Brown Jr. While black people in Chicago and elsewhere publicly protested the terrorism against black people, a substantial number of Whites spent the week squabbling about 3D printed firearms. 8 years ago, Whites in Cleveland contemplating grabbing firearms, torches and everything not nailed down to lynch LeBron James for exiting Ohio. The C.O.W.S. The Tacky Racism of Yoga Teacher Training (Walt Whitman, Nelson Mandela)

The Context of White Supremacy host Gus T. Renegade shares a few more details from his odyssey of yoga teacher training. Most recently, we were schedule to discuss the chakras of the body and how these energy clusters relate to the practice of yoga. Our manual featured detailed information about each chakra with random quotes to offer further thought. One of the quotes featured 19th century literary hero, Walt Whitman. A different quote was cribbed from Jack London, also a beloved White U.S. author. Unsurprisingly, both writers expressed overtly White Supremacist views and flagrantly disparaged black people. Black self respect would not allow Gus to sit by idly without parting my lips. The scientific marvels and notations were accompanied by allegations that Amazon's sparkling new facial recognition software branded Congressmen John Lewis and Bobby Rush (both black males) as convicted criminals. In California's East Bay, a black female was stabbed to death on a BART platform by a random White Terrorist. 18-year-old Nia Wilson was killed Sunday by John Lee Cowell, who's been arrested and is facing murder charges. Oakland's KTVU was accused of practicing White Supremacy by displaying an image of Wilson where she's holding an object that resembles a firearm. Across the continent in Florida, anger continues a week after a White man, Michael Drejka, fatally shot a black male, Markeis McGlockton, during an argument over a parking spot. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 13th and final study session on Ralph Ellison's spectacular 1952 novel, Invisible Man. Gus T's all-time favorite book, Ellison's phenomenal work was selected for the 1953 National Book Award and has been inspected and esteemed globally for nearly 80 years. The book follows an unnamed black male as he grinds through the abuse and deception of White Supremacy (Racism). Last week's segment saw the narrator enact his plan to deceive the Brotherhood about the rage of Black Harlem residents. He schemed to use Sybil, a White female member of the Brotherhood, to solicit information about the group's activities, but she gives up no info and is more interested in getting drunk and being raped by a black "buck." The protagonist abandons his plan and the White Woman to respond to a full scale "riot" where black residents are looting stores and burning property in response to White Terrorism. The C.O.W.S. Teaching Yoga As A Black Male Under White Supremacy #MeToo

Speaking of prosecutions, the Washington Post reports that Suspected Racist "Michael Selyem, who leads the Hardcore Gang Unit at the San Bernardino County District Attorneyâ??s Office, is the subject of an internal investigation." Selyem is accused of posting racist and terrorist threats about former First Lady Michelle Obama and U.S. Congresswoman Maxine Waters. While Whites pretended to celebrate independence and liberty from injustice, Therese Okoumou climbed the Statue of Liberty in objection of the Trump administration's immigration policy. She carried out her act sporting a shirt that read: "White Supremacy is Terrorism." Speaking of the current president, Mr. Trump continued his thrashing of Obama-era policies, obliterating regulations that asked colleges to include "race" as a factor when admitting students. These polices were poor efforts to compensate for White Supremacist polices that willfully prohibited black students from obtaining education. In the state of Oregon, an area notorious for barring black citizens access to the state, a black politician was deemed suspicious for canvasing for votes. The C.O.W.S. Ralph Ellison's Invisible Man Part 10

The Context of White Supremacy hosts the tenth study session on Ralph Ellison's 1952 superlative novel, Invisible Man. Gus T's all-time favorite book, Ellison's exemplary text was picked for the 1953 National Book Award and has been inspected and esteemed internationally for more than a half century. The book follows an unnamed black male as he grinds through the terrorism and deceit of White Supremacy (Racism). Last week's installment introduced Brother Tarp, a black member of the Brotherhood. He and the main character discuss the organization, and Brother Tarp gifts the protagonist an iron shackle - similar the cuff Dr. Bledsoe owned. Brother Tarp shares that he was incarcerated for two decades for telling a (White) man "no." Not long after hearing Brother Tarp, the protagonist is accused of trying to subvert the Brotherhood. Brother Wrestrum, also a black member, reported to the White members that the main character had sinister motives for self-aggrandizement, not universal brotherhood. The Whites decide to banish the protagonist from his Harlem office and change his assignment to "the woman question." The C.O.W.S. Counter-Racist T-Shirt Experiment

The Context of White Supremacy makes time to access how the latest round of counter-racist t-shirts have been received. Ages ago, we experimented with shirts that said, "Please, respect me like I am a White person." These contentious tops weren't exactly thought of as the latest fashion craze. Gus predicted Whites would be mostly pleasant and courteous about the shirt because so much of the practice of White Supremacy relies on abusing clueless victims. The shirt would suggest the non-white person has some understanding that they are being terrorized specifically because they are not White, and this would be enough to make most Racists hesitant about molesting a more vigilant victim. Over the past six years, Gus has had many opportunities to dawn his counter-racist garment, and the overwhelming response has been in consistent with his prediction. The police killing of 17-year-old Antwon Rose II received substantially less attention. The black male was killed by a Suspected Race Soldier, Michael Rosfeld, who has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide. Demonstrating the consistency of White Terrorism, Franklin Gebhardt was convicted of the 1983 lynching of Timothy Coggins. A group of other Whites are facing charges for refusing to snitch on the White Terrorist for decades. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 9th study session on Ralph Ellison's 1952 novel, Invisible Man. The book follows the journey of an unnamed black male as he toils through the confusion and terrorism of White Supremacy (Racism). Last week's session saw the protagonist remove himself from Mary's residence - following the orders of his new White employers, The Brotherhood. He breaks Mary's jolly nigger bank on his last day, and hides the scraps in his briefcase as he exits. The Brotherhood welcome him to their organization and provide him with a chance to be a featured speaker on their evening program. The main character gave an emotional appeal and spoke about feeling a greater level of "humanity" since joining The Brotherhood. The Whites in the organization are dissatisfied with what they call his "unscientific" speechifying.
