#84 - Digging Deeper Into Wellness - Trey Bruffey

In this episode of the podcast, I sit down with Trey Bruffey. Trey started working out when he was 13 years old to get in better shape for wrestling. Once he started wrestling in high school, he realized he was out of shape and had a lot to learn and improve on. While finishing up his degree in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Healthcare Delivery at Roanoke College, he began mentoring with Austin Stout in 2016. This allowed him to develop the tools needed to eventually start working on the team at IMH in August of 2023. The clients he works with are competitive bodybuilders, individuals struggling with functional health issues, and people who generally want to improve their body composition and quality of life. He enjoys taking a multifaceted approach to successful client outcomes by focusing on the mind, body, and the spirit. Osteogenesis Imperfecta (O.I.) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by bones that break easily, often from little or no apparent cause. The disease affects roughly 25,000 people in the U.S. Depending on the severity of the disease, and those afflicted may have just a few or as many as several hundred fractures in a lifetime.
