I've been very vocal about my support for a casino in downtown Jackson, I 100% believe it's that it's going to take that type of development to salvage what's left of downtown after the last 30+ years of far-left, ultra-progressive Democrat, super majority control of Jackson. I still believe the delegations that represent the current casino cities will never allow it and I don't understand why we continue to pander to them. The majority of the casino's customers come from the tri-county area, so the tri-county area should benefit in the economic boom that comes from the casinos. Competition is good for everyone, it's not our responsibility to keep Vicksburg's casinos afloat. JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) -A Mississippi House committee looking at ways to revitalize the capital city is going beyond blight discussions. They’re being given details of a plan that could have you sitting at a slot machine within a mile of the State Capitol. A group of five businessmen, including former Governor Haley Barbour are making their pitch to lawmakers that they believe can help reverse the economic trends of the capital city. “And that is a casino,” said William Richardson, one of the five members of the Capital City Forward Together team. But the idea brings forward plenty of questions. First, the location. “We are recommending a mile or so of the capitol that brings the jobs, that brings the people,” explained Richardson. “It restores the core of our city.” However, the group makes a few things clear: they don’t think it needs to be limited to a specific site. “Why we don’t come and say here’s the best site, we’re not qualified,” noted Richardson. “A casino company that’s paying the bill, they’re going to look at what their costs are.” And they are not recommending lawmakers put any state money into it. “We are not asking and I would discourage this committee, the whole legislature, you don’t need to give a casino any tax money,” added Richardson. “You don’t need to invest in it. They got the money.” So, why even come to the legislature with the proposal? The state law would need to be amended to allow for authorization of a casino in Jackson. Under this group’s proposal, they think only one should be licensed, and it should be with a current operator in the state. The final piece of their request would require the developer to pay an annual $10 million “Impact fee.” “Which is a secret way of saying you’re going to help fund additional growth,” said Richardson. It would operate as a revolving loan fund for others looking to invest in the city. “We have this opportunity sitting in front of us to do something about all this and bring in economic development without asking the taxpayers for a dollar,” added Richard McNeel, one of the five businessmen offering the proposal. The discussions will continue when the session begins next month.

(WLBT) - Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba used his most recent episode of “Ask Antar” to thank supporters and reassure residents the city of Jackson is moving forward even as he faces multiple corruption charges. In October, a federal grand jury indicted Lumumba, Ward Six Councilman Aaron Banks, and Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens in connection with a bribery scheme to bring a convention center hotel to downtown Jackson. The comments mark only the second time the mayor has discussed the indictment since it was unsealed on November 7. “People have been keeping me lifted up... sending me daily text messages, prayers, Scriptures, lifting up my family, not only in Jackson but around the country,” he said. “These are the moments that you’re taught who really are your friends and who support you, and I’ve been grateful for that support.” Lumumba, dressed in a gray sweater and a black button-up shirt, reiterated statements he made outside of the Thad Cochran Federal Courthouse last month, that he was going to continue to fight the charges and work for residents. “I don’t want anyone to be fearful for that,” he said. “I’m going to move around. I’m not going to walk around as if I’m guilty of something I am not.” He pointed to the fact that after his arraignment, he went to Tampa, Florida, for the National League of Cities Centennial Summit “to seek solutions for the city” and to “appear for multiple speaking engagements.” “[I want] our residents to know that, as I’ve said, ‘I’m not only innocent, but I’m going to fight those charges and I’ll let my attorneys handle that,’” he said. “I owe them a responsibility, and so I’m going to make certain I maintain and adhere to that responsibility.” “We’re still working, we’re still meeting, we’re still seeking solutions to the problems that face Jackson residents every day... I’m grateful to have a team around me that can focus in.” Lumumba is charged with conspiracy, federal program bribery, the use of an interstate facility in aid of racketeering, honest services wire fraud, and money laundering after he allegedly accepted $50,000 in bribes to benefit developers wanting to bring a convention center hotel to Jackson. The developers, who claimed to be with Facility Solutions Team out of Hendersonville, Tennessee, turned out to be confidential human sources with the FBI. The mayor told Director of Communications Melissa Faith Payne during the roughly 30-minute episode that this was not the first time he’s been investigated by the agency, and that he’s dealt with the FBI “my entire life.” “We were often surveilled. To this day, I actually have FOIA documents to demonstrate that... I’ve seen my high school pictures in FBI documents, [pictures from] my mother’s funeral in FBI documents, details on my parents’ relationship in FBI documents,” he said. “Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon to me... It’s not something I want for my children. I really have to question what family, or anybody, would justify that level of scrutiny, that level of investment, to follow a family that long,” he continued. “It is not something that is foreign territory to me.” Lumumba is in his second term as Jackson’s mayor. He was first elected in 2017 and re-elected by a landslide in 2021. He is the son of the late Nubia and Chokwe Lumumba, a civil rights attorney and activist who died in 2014, about eight months into his first and only term in office.

Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order that would remove transgender service members from the military as soon as his first day in office. The president-elect is reportedly preparing to issue an order following his inauguration on January 20 that would effectively ban trans people serving in the military — and then medically discharge the thousands of currently serving trans service members in the armed forces. In his first term in office, Trump declared that the US would no longer “accept or allow” trans people in the military, citing “tremendous medical costs and disruption,” he tweeted in 2017. The ban took effect in 2019. President Joe Biden reversed that policy, which was the subject of several lawsuits. Now, Trump is expected to immediately rescind Biden’s order and go further by ejecting currently-serving trans troops, according to The Times, citing sources familiar with the president-elect’s plans. The executive action is among a stack of orders the president-elect is planning to issue as soon as he re-enters the White House, including sweeping actions on immigration, all of which are expected to draw significant legal battles. “These unnamed sources are speculating and have no idea what they are actually talking about. No decisions on this issue have been made,” Trump transition spokesperson and incoming White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement shared with The Independent. “No policy should ever be deemed official unless it comes directly from President Trump or his authorized spokespeople.” Throughout his campaign, which joined Republican groups in spending tens of millions of dollars on anti-trans attack ads targeting people who make up less than 1 per cent of the nation’s population, Trump pledged to revoke vital civil rights protections for LGBT+ people and block trans students from playing sports or using bathrooms that align with their gender identities. Four white people have been arrested in Jackson, Mississippi while breaking into the Metrocenter mall in what looks to be an attempt to steal copper. We take a look back to a story from WLBT on Sept. 30th that claimed the current Metrocenter resident (a movie studio) claimed that Ayran Brotherhood gang members were stealing copper and transporting it to Houston for Mexican drug cartels. I initially called BS on this story, but now I'm questioning my original assumption. Below is the current story from WLBT JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Four people were arrested by the Jackson Police Department for Business Burglary among other crimes. Jackson Police Department Precinct Two Units responded to 3645 Metro Center Drive regarding a burglary in progress Thursday. Upon receiving a description of the suspects and the suspect’s vehicle, officers were able to apprehend them on the top-level loading dock. Suspects forced their way into the building on the lower level of Burlington Department Store. The vehicle used in the crime was a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado truck with a switch tag. Located inside the vehicle were guns, burglary tools, and copper wire. Four suspects were taken into custody and transported to police headquarters to be interviewed. According to JPD, after the interview, the four suspects were booked into the jail on the following charges:

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Two Jackson Police officers passed the scene of a deadly crash shortly after it occurred over the weekend and did not render aid, the police chief says. At 5 a.m. Saturday, Jackson Police Department Precinct 1 officers responded to the crash at Cooper Road and Suncrest Drive. A red Cadillac SUV was traveling south on Suncrest Drive when it left the road, crashed into a tree at the corner of Suncrest Drive and Cooper Road, and caught fire. According to JPD, the vehicle’s driver, Tina Carter Sawyer, 35, died during the accident. But, according to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, two Jackson Police Precinct 1 officers passed the scene of the accident “shortly” after it happened but did not stop or render aid. Wade says he questions the officers’ actions, “but, more importantly, their inactions during this situation.” Following a JPD Internal Affairs investigation, the officers were placed on administrative leave for questionable action and inaction. According to JPD, the case will be turned over to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, and the findings will be handed over to the Mississippi Attorney Generals' Office.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Two men were shot in the parking lot of Burlington Coat Factory during a Facebook Marketplace sell gone wrong, Jackson Police say. It happened Monday on East County Line Road. According to Jackson Police, a man met a couple, 24-year-old Chanceler Holmes and 33-year-old Shaneque McAbee, in the parking lot for a meeting arranged on Facebook Marketplace. During the sale, Holmes tried to rob the seller, which resulted in both men being shot.

Is there really a gender gap? Does anyone trust polls? Does low male turnout in early voting in PA. signal doom for Donald Trump? Who is worst VP candidate of our lifetimes? 1- Opened the show with a rant about how we've lived under Democrat control here in America the overwhelming majority of my life, especially if you go back and look at the George W. Bush terms through the lens of him being a uni-party RINO now. This is our last chance to save America from the Democrats and Deep State RINO Republicans. 2- We give out not one but two local FAFO championships in Rankin county yesterday 3- Donald Trump took advantage of Joe Biden calling all of his supporters "Garbage" and did a press conf. from inside a garbage truck yesterday, which is even funnier because CNN broke into with live BREAKING NEWS coverage while they were in the middle of a Wolf Blitzer round table discussing the election. 4. The Harris campaign is manipulating Trumps speeches and are getting busted by X in a move that could get them removed from the platform for violating the terms of service. We play the edited and original audio and let you decide what Trump actually said.

1- Joe Biden calls all Trump supporters garbage in what could be biggest election blunder since Hillary Clintons "basket of deporables" comment. Shaun and I discuss this from every imaginable angle. 2- We get into a pretty deep conversation about Shaun's normalcy bias and his natural disposition not to believe "conspiracy theories" which takes us down a rabbit hole about what an actual "conspiracy theory" even is and how we're all conspiracy theorist in one way or another. 3- Some GPS data has come out about who was in attendance at last nights KKKamala Harris rally in Washington D.C. at the same location of a 1924 that shows nearly 6,200 of the nearly 32,000 attendees had also attended 3 or more ANTIFA / BLM / PRO-PALESTINE protest / riots in the last 12 months. Also, nearly 18,000 of the attendees were from Atlanta and California, makes me believe these are paid attendees. 4- We get into a deep conversation about which candidate has the ability to draw people onto their side from left of and right of center based on policy. This is difficult to explain in a description but made for a great conversation.

1- Is Chokwe Lumumba begging for the citizens of Jackson to vote for Kamala Harris because he's efforting a potential pardon for his alleged involvement in the convention center hotel bribery case? 2-Kamala Harris went on Shannon Sharpe's "Club Shay Shay" podcast and made a complete ass of herself by saying Trump was going to abolish the constitution and that she loved guns and the 2nd amendment. With a simple search on X we find video of her contradicting herself and in fact saying that she will sign an executive order to confiscate guns. 3- We peel back the onion on the Democrat propaganda that Trump is a racist and his rallies have any similarities to Nazi rallies. 4- Another failed "black excellence" project in Jackson leads to Kenneth Stokes demanding the former golf world property be cleaned up and it reminds me that this whole story sounds very familiar. We jump on the Delorean and go back to Nov. 5th 2020 and play the news story about this very location being converted into a drive-in move theater and Go-Kart track by "black investors from New Orleans"

Four years ago, a project in Jackson, Mississippi, was celebrated as a beacon of Black excellence. It was meant to transform the old Golf World site in North Jackson into a thriving Black-owned drive-in movie theater and mini-golf youth complex. Unfortunately, this ambitious venture has yet to come to fruition. Today, the site remains abandoned, serving inadvertently as a dumping ground for the city's waste.

The soon to be convicted felon (allegedly of course) that's most likely going to be looking for a presidential pardon for federal political bribery and corruption charges Chowe Antar Lumumba has chimed in and says that Jackson, Mississippi's black residents owe their votes to Kamala Harris because she's the reason their getting their self-inflicted water crisis of incompetence fixed and so his little girls know they can grow up to be anything they want to be one day.
