I lived up north, where the temperatures were below freezing and the sun was a rare sight. I used to love ice-skating, and I would always go down to the frozen lake near my house. As a kid, I discovered I had a really rare condition where if my heart rate was too high, I would start to swell up, and my throat would close over so I nearly couldn't breathe. I first found out about this in the playground as a toddler. We were climbing up the monkey bars, and I was so high off the ground.
