Today’s episode will cover something I found to be interesting in the comic series Obi wan and Anakin, issue number 1. During Anakin’s teenage years after episode 1, he was practicing at the Jedi Temple with a hologram training droid that he altered to look, move, and attack just like Darth Maul. As he practiced his moves and showcased his abilities, students and jedi alike watched in interest from the sides. However, from the balcony above, Obi Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu and Chancellor Palpatine (Darth Sidiolus) observed the young Anakin in admiration, speaking of him as palpatine asked many questions. As Obi Wan answered Master Windu’s confusion as to why the boy was fighting what looked like Darth Maul, exclaiming he always porposed detailed questions for him about their duel on Naboo, Palpatine interrupted as he said come now, my jedi friends, a boy of his age altering a training droid in this way, simply to impress his teachers? The scene where we see Luke rushing to his X-wing in response to his force visions of han leia and chewie in trouble on cloud city, he is stopped by Master Yoda who emplores him to stay and continue his training, telling him he is not ready. However unsuccessful, let’s venture down the rabbit hole and see what would have happened if he was indeed successful in persuading luke to stay and complete his training in the empire stirkes back. Talk of a Yoda movie has also surfaced with world famous movie writer Zack Snyder proposing his interest on doing a 7 samurai style film with Yoda and other warriors, entailing his youth-filled endeavours. in the bad batch season 2 trailer we finally get to see Cody once again since his betrayal of obi-wan in revenge of the sith during order 66. Cody was talking with Crosshair and he was explaining how a lot of clones are questioning the order. To me this is something I always wondered as a kid when revenge of the sith came out, I Was 15 years old and I wondered if any clones felt bad for what they did to the jedi, or if any even didn’t follow orders. Now we really start to dive more into that with the bad batch and even with the clone wars season 7. I think it’s a huge worm hole to dive into and explore why some disobey, and why most obey. In Rex’s case, his attachment and love for Ahsoka bought her a few seconds before he pulled the trigger. However with Jesse, he never hesitated. Why the discrepancy? I believe some inhibitor chips either weren’t put in properly in the ones disobeying, or it wore off over time. There’s also the question of, what happened to them in battle? For example when Crosshair had that explosion near his head, did that burn out the chip in his brain that forced him to execute order 66? Is he acting on free will? I personally think he just hates his brothers and has a different way of thinking about how the galaxy should be run. I think this is probably one of my biggest questions about the clones which I am excited to have answered. Why some disobey the order, or question it, while others follow it until the end of time. For example when the empire switched to regular enlistees from all over the galaxy, there were still clones getting very old in the ranks as storm troopers now. They were responsible for training the new humans and aliens that enlisted as storm troopers for the empire. Now, there is also the case where clones may not even see or hear order 66 be executed. Like Cut the clone from the first season of the bad batch who lived out on that farm and didn’t get any access to Palpatine’s Orders. Now when Crosshair replies and tells him that they are all traitors just like the jedi, cody gives him a side eye look like he’s starting to question things himself. As if he’s thinking, what if they’re not all traitors, what if we should be questioning the orders given to us. I believe the clones, while being programmed to follow orders blindly due to the chip and their training/cloning, are also able to see the vast difference in their relationship with the jedi, and some may even question why this discrepancy is taking place. Why were they once loyal and fought along side their jedi generals, only now to have killed them all and are ordered to do so due to the Jedi’s alleged betrayal. Now you might ask what exactly did they betray? Well, Palpatine made it very clear at the senate hearing after the JEdi attacked him that the attempt on his life was treason, and left him scarred and deformed. That the Jedi tried to spy on him and that had his protector not been there to save him, he’d be dead. He made the galaxy and the clones believe the Jedi were on a quest for power and control of the senates, and that they were going to take over the galaxy if not wiped out. I think Cody’s relationship with Obi-Wan Kenobi perhaps may make him second guess things now that some time has passed. Cody to Obi-Wan was like Rex to Anakin almost. And if Rex paused ORder 66 for Ahsoka, I’m sure he would have done the same for Anakin. So I like to believe that Cody, while not as close to Kenobi as rex was to ahsoka or anakin, will eventually come around to at least questioning why so many clones are questioning the order, and this in turn will lead him to question his own beliefs and way of living through ORder 66. Kenobi show will be the darkest Star Wars show to date. The reason for this is because it’s set in the most dark time of the galaxy. The emperor and Vader rule the cosmos now 10 years after revenge of the Sith so this isn’t the early stages of the empire turning the tide of the republic like we saw in the bad batch, Palpatine’s reign is now quite actualized. Cal Kestis’s story picks up 5 years after Jedi Fallen Order, which originally took place 5 years after revenge of the Sith. There aren’t any rebels around as prominent as there were in rogue one. Vader’s mask has already inflicted fear across the galaxy and at this point he’s quite well known. In Star Wars, the galaxy didn't know that Vader was Luke's father. Only Luke Skywalker and Yoda knew this (and Leia in Jedi later on). What if the entire galaxy knew that Vader was Luke's father? In today's what if/theory episode let's explore the events to lead if Ahsoka and Rex were successful in convincing Jesse and the rest of the 501st to disobey their orders of Order 66. With reason and logic, I think Rex could have bought some time to get them all to the medical facility and take out their inhibitor chips. This would give Ahsoka a massive clone army all to herself, and begin the Clone uprising, changing the fate of The Mandalorian, events on Malachor with Vader vs Ahsoka and more. In the mandalorian season 2 we saw Luke Skywalker return like the jedi we knew him to be from return of the jedi. Along with him came R2D2, who gazed upon Grogu, and after a short moment, looked happy. To me and a lot of fans it seemed like he recognized grogu. I think he actually did. I believe he knew of Grogu, or knew him personally. As Ahsoka Tano mentioned, Grogu was trained at the jedi temple for years by many jedi masters until the end of the Clone Wars (Order 66). Supreme Chancellors were always just educated politicians (somewhat) on matters that affected the galaxy. However, did you know, that during the old times, you could only be a Supreme Chancellor if you were a Jedi? That means Palpatine would never have been in power, had this rule still have been true. However, it could make for something even more sinister, which is Palpatine pretending to be a Jedi for decades, only to turn on them once he was in power as Supreme Chancellor. Hayden gets the most hate in Star Wars because of his role in the prequels (Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith). I think he played him perfectly, and here's why... He was supposed to be monotone, moody, and confused. He was supposed to be numb and callous.
