The Rakatans are extemely interesting sentients with millenia of history in Star Wars. Predating the Jedi themselves, the Rakatan infinite empire is a story that I think all Star Wars fans (casuals included) will really enjoy. We got a name drop of them in Andor, and if Disney has the guts, they'll make more shows/movies based on the Rakata. So here's one of my favourite Clone Wars arcs that wasn't ever made into the show, however, it does have an epic series of comic runs. After The Clone Wars season 5, Darth Maul is captured by Darth Sidious, the rightful heir to the Darksaber after defeating Maul. Maul is interrogated by Count Dooku and later fights General Grievous per Dooku and Sidious' design. I have covered every issue before several years ago, however, I went back and redid the entire thing for issue 1 and I think i'll redo the whole issue, with better voice acting, better sound fx, better editing. In this interview which wasn't included in the 'Making ep 1 Documentary" we get to see the questions that give the audience and Star Wars fans more insight on George Lucas' overall process of film, film making, writing, and directing when it comes to his films and Star Wars. One key question was in regards to the technology today allowing George to tell the story better than he could with the originals. I found this interesting because with A New Hope, Empire and Jedi, we got fabulous stories, however, they were indeed limited not to George's vast imagination, but to the tech of that era, sadly. In the empire strikes back, Luke cut his training short with Yoda to fight Darth Vader on cloud city. This was ill advised from Yoda and Obi-Wan who cautioned him against this decision to save han and leia, however Luke being the son o Skywalker decided to go ahead anyways despite not completing his training. During the duel, Vader’s whole plan was to freeze luke in carbonite, and deliver him to the emperor. Now, in this story we can take the fan fiction in two separate areas, one is Luke is frozen and taken to the emperor, the other is Luke is frozen and trained by Darth Vader. Now, I’ve done one in the past where Luke decides to join Vader when he tells him he’s his Father, in which Vader trains him in secret. Now in this one I’d like to take the spin of Vader delivering him to the Emperor, so let’s begin. All Too easy, as Luke falls into the cryogenic chamber, Vader uses the force to activate it, sending a jet of freezing carbonite over luke’s body, encapsulating him just as it had Han a few moments before. Vader uses the force to lift frozen luke out of the chamber and activates its anti-gravity setting, as Vader heads to his ship with Luke and blasts off to the Emperor, ending the film. Now obviously here, we shall continue. Arriving to the Emperor’s secret location off grid, he departs from his ship as he walks down the reclining shaft, ready to deliver the boy to his master. As his heavy boots echo through the long stone stairway to the Emperor’s hidden throne room, he walks as two royal red guards move aside as the doors slide open. In this deleted scene from Star Wars Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, we get to see Qui-Gon Jinn and Anakin Skywalker's journey as they headed back outside of Mos Espa (where Anakin and Shmi lived) to get to the ship with Obi-Wan and Padme. It was during this walk back just moments after Anakin said goodbye to his mother, that they were being followed by Darth Maul's probe droid the DRK-1 (Dark Eye Probe Droid) in which Qui-Gon's Jedi reflexes sensed it and struck it down with his green lightsaber. This is a scene that wouldn't have fit in the movie, but would have been cool to see, nonetheless. I'm glad it's in the book! Kylo finding the wayfinder was a bit too simple and quick in the film, so I'm glad there was more to it. It feels like the Witcher. Palpatine is cloning something big in those containers, I think it's Snoke. I believe he needed the ancient ring from beneath Vader's castle, inscribed with the Dwartii, because he needed to control him through the force in some way.
