Christmas music with the Brass Band of Battle Creek (BBBC).Over the last 25 years the Brass Band of Battle Creek (BBBC) has established itself as one of the premier brass/percussion ensembles in the world. On Today's Show, I feature The National Youth Brass Band of New Zealand!A dedicated show for Kevin & Claire Black, great supporters of Sounds Of Brass in New Zealand.The band members are all under twenty-three years of age and are selected from nationwide auditions of young band members from community-based brass bands. There is no automatic selection for a place in the band, as each player must audition annually.Many band members have gone on to professional careers in services bands, the NZ Symphony Orchestra, professional conducting and of course the National Band of New Zealand. On Today's Show, I feature Brass Band Regensburg .In addition to the concert podium, the band has also discovered the competition scene from the start and has already had some notable national and international successes in recent years, such as winning the 2016 German Championships (upper level) and the bronze medal in the European Brass Band Championships 2017 (highest level), runner-up at the German Championships 2018 (highest level), European Champion 2019 (highest level) and 2nd place (highest level) at the “Wychavon Festival of Brass 2019” in Evesham, England.
