The Amazon Prime Video series named All Star follows a former cheerleader trying to trick her way into being a cheerleading coach at a school in England. She tries to reciprocate her desire of becoming an all-star through her students. Witherspoon will also serve as the executive producer for the series along with Lauren Neustadter. Go, Reese! is all we have to say.

S. S. Rajamouli’s RRR is on the roll right now. With two Golden Globe nominations already announced earlier this week, hitherto the movie has been nominated for the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards. The Los Angeles-based Critics Choice Association announced the nominations on their official website. RRR has received five nominations comprising Best Picture, Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Visual Effects and lastly Best Song for the Telugu track "Naatu Naatu".

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's new song Besharam Rang from Pathaan has resulted in multiple jaws hitting the floor. Deepika's new bold look coupled with Shah Rukh's shirtless avatar has already become a rage. But the song has also drawn much controversy on social media. Twiterattis were quick to call out that the actress wore a saffron outfit in a song called ‘Besharam Rang’ which translates as ‘shameless colour’. This was deemed offensive by certain cohorts who decided to ban the number. But more worryingly, some Twitter users have now accused the track to be plagiarized from the song Makeba by French singer-songwriter Jain. Those concerned about why a French artiste has chosen the name ‘Jain’, keep your pants on. It’s only her stage name. Jain’s real name is Jeanne Louise Galice. As for the resemblance between the two tracks, why don’t you give them a listen and decide for yourself.

Spiderman fans were full of praise for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse upon its release which grossed over $375.5 million worldwide against a $90 million budget. Fans are keen for the adventures Miles Morales has in store in the forthcoming Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse. The film continues after their whirlwind journey through the multiverse and we’ve not learnt that it will feature a new addition. The film’s director Kemp Powers recently revealed in an interview that The Spot will feature as the main villain in the movie. The Spot was portrayed as a comical villain in the comic books but has the potential to deliver as a formidable adversary to Spiderman. How the webbed superhero takes on this new villain is yet to be seen.

The new season of the popular sci-fi show, Doctor Who has already started filming. This long-running BBC show is returning for the fourteenth season with a fresh new Time Lord, with Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor. The season continues after David Tennant returns as the Fourteenth Doctor for the special episodes in honour of the show's 60th anniversary. Millie Gibson and Ruby Sunday are also joining the cast of the fourteenth season.

The much-anticipated series Cross is finally gearing up for filming after a long wait of two years. The series is based on the New York Times best-selling author James Patterson's Alex Cross book series. Aldis Hodge, the producer and lead actor of the show revealed that the series focuses on Hodge’s character Alex Cross, a forensic psychologist and a skilled detective. As it turns out, Cross is haunted by past trauma and his obsession with hunting down killers challenges his personal life where he happens to be a doting father.

Disney announced the release date of the fan-favourite Disney+ series The Mandalorian at last night’s CCXP 2022 Marvel and Star Wars Panel. The third season will be available for streaming from March 1, 2023. The next Star War project to hit the streaming service is the animated series The Bad Batch on January 4. The Mandalorian became immensely popular when it debuted a few years ago with Jon Favreau at the helm and Pedro Pascal essaying the titular character.

The Meghna Gulzar directorial Sam Bahadur is set to release in cinemas on December 1 next year. Vicky Kaushal plays the lead as the former Chief of the Army Staff Sam Manekshaw, Sanya Malhotra will essay the role of Manekshaw's wife Silloo, and Fatima Sana Shaikh will play the role of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film has gathered a lot of hype already for the uncanny resemblance Vicky Kaushal shares with the real Sam Bahadur.

Netflix’s Wednesday was possibly one of the most anticipated releases this year owing to the immense popularity of The Addams Family. The series premiered last week on November 23 with Jenna Ortega playing the titular character of Wednesday Addams. The show has received several positive reviews and has reportedly broken a Netflix viewing record. The show made it to the top of the list of the most viewed hours of a Netflix debut for an English TV series with 341.2 million hours viewed in its first week of release, breaking the record previously held by Stranger Things.

Theatrical releases have not looked well in Bollywood this year but there’s a last-minute shift with Drishyam 2’s staggering success. The film is going strong for a second weekend and earned almost Rs 39 crore including a collection of Rs 17-17.25 crore just on Sunday. Drishyam 2 starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu has made a total collection of Rs 141 crore and it has been estimated that they will soon join the Rs 200 crore club.

Bollywood actress Anushka Sen is set to make her Korean debut with a South Korean film titled Asia. You might know her from the hit television show Jhansi Ki Rani, and she returned from Seoul after completing the first schedule of the film. The film is conceptualized, written, and directed by Lee Jung-sub and will be released as a multilingual film. It is set to feature performances from actors from all over the world, including India, Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, Vietnam, and the U.S.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s niece is set to make her feature film debut. Atul and Alvira Agnihotri’s daughter Alizeh Agnihotri will be featured in national award-winning filmmaker Soumendra Padhi's next film according to reports. She has been preparing for the role by taking dancing and acting lessons. The film is set to begin shooting by the end of 2022 and is scheduled to release in the year 2023.

British royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to feature in a documentary created by Netflix. The docuseries will focus on The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and will be directed by Academy award-nominated filmmaker Liz Garbus. It is set to premiere in December this year, and it is part of the multi-year deal with Netflix signed by Harry and Meghan in 2020.

Taapsee Pannu is working as a producer for the new suspense thriller, Blurr. Adapted from director Guillem Morales’ Spanish film Julia’s Eyes, the film revolves around twin sisters and Taapsee is set to play a blind woman as well as her twin in a double role. The movie will have a direct OTT release on Zee5 this December. She has also worked on Sujoy Ghosh’s Badlaa which was also a Spanish remake and it is based on The Invisible Guest directed by Oriol Paulo.

Amazon Studios are set to produce an untitled ROTC coming-of-age drama series, and Spike Lee is coming on board as the director. The script is being provided by military veterans Jalysa Conway and Rebecca Murga and revolves around the ROTC program of a major university which accommodates students from different social strata. ROTC or the Reserve Officers' Training Corp is a university-based program that trains future commissioned officers for the United States Armed Forces.

Jonah Hill already has his next directorial project lined up, and studios are determined to win the rights for its production. This is understandable since the film, Outcome, comes with an A-list star to lead it, and it's none other than Keanu Reeves. The movie is set to be produced under Hill’s production company, Strong Baby with Hill also contributing to the script alongside writer Ezra Woods. Most details of the film have been kept under wraps including no reports from either Hill or Reeves but both of their involvement is creating much anticipation.

After Elvis and Rocketman became an immense hit, musicians are looking to dip their toes in the film market with biopics of their own. This time it's Snoop Dogg, whose life and rhymes are headed to the big screen. It's been reported that the enigmatic rapper’s biopic is in the works at Universal Pictures and they are bringing Black Panther writer Joe Robert Cole on board the team. Snoop is set to produce the project under his newly formed Death Row Pictures, alongside Hughes and Sara Ramaker. Snoop said "It was the perfect marriage. It was holy matrimony, not holy macaroni." to demonstrate his excitement.

An Indiana Jones television series is currently in development with Disney+. The iconic character of Indiana Jones has had a religious fan following since Harrison Ford debuted the character in Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981. Disney is set to expand on this dynamic character and maybe take it in an alternative direction. These revelations followed closely after Harrison Ford stated that he will be done with the role after the release of the fifth film. The team is still in need of a head writer but Disney and Lucasfilm are quite confident about this new venture.

The hit DC TV series Titans is back with the fourth season and with new faces such as Joseph Morgan portraying Sebastian Blood aka Brother Blood. The new season will also be focusing on Joshua Orpin’s Connor Kent aka Superboy and his origins. Fans will also be eagerly waiting for Titus Welliver’s debut as the supervillain Lex Luthor in the show. Fans have been speculating that a version of Superman, the Man of Steel himself could make his Titans debut. Considering Henry Cavill announced his shock return as Superman in the DC films universe just a week ago, it is not outside the realm of possibility that another Superman could also make a surprise appearance.

With only a week left for the new season premiere of Netflix’s The Crown, there is plenty surrounding the series. Netflix just released a behind-the-scenes video revealing the new faces of the season. The biggest additions are definitely Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana. Imelda Staunton portrayed the infamous Dolores Umbridge in the Harry Potter films whereas Elizabeth Debicki made quite an impact with her role in Christopher Nolan’s Tenet.

The Hemsworth brothers, Liam and Luke, are set to star alongside Russell Crowe in the upcoming Australian action thriller Land of the Bad. New promotional images for the film reveal the two brothers wielding guns and scouring through a forest. Directed by William Eubank, the film will revolve around a fighter pilot named Reaper who is leading a special ops mission in a jungle. When the mission goes awry, Reaper changes the objective of the mission to a rescue operation.

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza recently announced their forthcoming film Mister Mummy, a comedy where a man seems to have gotten pregnant in mysterious circumstances. The film has already courted controversy for allegedly plagiarizing the story. Kolkata-based producer Akash Chatterjee has accused the makers of stealing the concept of the movie which he had originally written and pitched under the title Viki Pet Se. Chatterjee has voiced these allegations on social media and pinned T-Series, the music label backing the project, as he had shared the concept with them in 2019.

Netflix has finally announced the much-awaited fourth season of The Witcher. But to our collective dismay, Henry Cavill won't be returning as the Geralt of Rivia on the show. The news was announced via Instagram that Liam Hemsworth is set to replace Henry Cavill in the upcoming season of the fantasy drama series.

The plot revolves around Cross, a detective and forensic psychologist who solves dangerous mysteries.

Antonio Campos has been roped in as the new showrunner for the spin-off series to the 2022 film The Batman. The new series will be set around the infamous Arkham Asylum, and it is one of the two spin-offs in development from the universe created by Matt Reeves. It is one of the first projects set to be produced under the banner of the newly formed DC Studios.

The iconic British sci-fi fantasy series, Doctor Who has been snapped up by Disney+ in a global streaming partnership. Head of DC Films Walter Hamada has left Warner Bros according to reports. Hamada who worked at Warner Bros for 15 years was named head of DC films in 2018. The news comes in the wake of several high-profile exits from Warner Bros this year after the departures of Jason Kilar and Ann Sarnoff. The new leadership at the company under David Zaslav after the merger of Discovery and Warner Bros reportedly intends to create a fresh slate of original programming, especially for their DC brand.

Dwayne Johnson recently let it slip that Henry Cavil’s Superman will make his return in Black Adam, releasing this Thursday. Reports have now emerged that Cavil will be involved in a Man of Steel sequel film. It is unlikely that Man of Steel director ZAck Snyder will return to DC to helm a sequel, but Warner Brothers will be keen to bring back a solo Superman film. It is also reported that several other DC projects are in the works with James Gunn and Matt Reeves at the helm.

Killing Eve producers Sid Gentle Films has been acquired by BBC Studios. The British production company is expanding its commercial production-distribution arm and gaining full control of the BAFTA, Emmy, and Golden Globe-winning thriller series Killing Eve will further strengthen its stable of original programming.

Hollywood action legend Sylvester Stallone has teamed up with Bear Grylls to establish a production partnership intended to create a genre-bending and adrenaline-fueled series. Stallone will serve as the executive producer through his Balboa Productions, which has co-produced several projects such as the TV series Tulsa King and feature films, Samaritan and Rambo: Last Blood.

A documentary feature about the popular roleplaying game Dungeons & Dragons is in the making. Hasbro‘s Entertainment One is developing the project which will be released on the occasion of the game’s 50th anniversary in 2024. The documentary will explore the game’s creation in the early 1970s and will delve into the famous wizards and elves. Meanwhile, a major Dungeons & Dragons film titled Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is set to release in March 2023.

Quantum Leap actor Walter Perez has been roped in to play a recurring role in the upcoming Paramount+ show Fatal Attraction. Perez will play Jorge Perez, an easy-going deputy district attorney, in the series based on the 1987 thriller of the same name. The original film starred Michael Douglas, Glenn Close, and Anne Archer. Apart from Perez, the series will also feature Joshua Jackson, Lizzy Caplan, Amanda Peet, Wanda De Jesus, and Alyssa Jirrels, among others.

Hollywood actor Justin Long has joined the cast of the upcoming Disney+ series Goosebumps. The series is a reboot of the story adapted from R.L. Stine’s iconic young adult novels of the same name. Long will essay the role of a school teacher named Nathan Bratt who develops a link to a terrifying supernatural murder that took place decades earlier.

S.S. Rajamouli's blockbuster RRR has officially launched its For Your Consideration campaign for the upcoming Academy Awards. The film is seeking consideration in 14 categories including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor for Jr NTR and Ram Charan, Best Actress for Alia Bhatt, Best Supporting Actor for Ajay Devgn, and Best Original Song. Last month, the Gujarati film Chhello Show was selected as India’s official entry for the Oscars 2023. Mother India, Salaam Bombay!, and Lagaan are the only Indian films that have been nominated by the Academy.

Bollywood star Sushmita Sen will play transgender activist Gauri Sawant in her latest web series titled, Taali. She took to social media to share the news and said that the filming for the series has commenced. The six-part series will also feature around 300 transgender artists. For the unversed, Sawant is the founder of Sakhi Char Chowghi, an NGO that helps transgenders and HIV/AIDS patients.

The teaser of the highly anticipated mythological film Adipurush shows Baahubali star Prabhas as Lord Rama. Helmed by Tanhaji director Om Raut, the film is based on the Indian epic Ramayana and is set to hit theatres next year on January 12th. Saif Ali Khan essays the role of Ravana, while Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh play Sita and Lakshmana, respectively.

Marvel’s Armor Wars which was originally planned to be a series is now being developed as a feature film. As per reports, the studio made this decision after realising that the project was better suited as a film. Don Cheadle will reprise his role as War Machine in the film which is a part of Phase 5 of the MCU. The film will follow War Machine after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Friends star Lisa Kudrow has been roped in to play the lead role in Academy Award winner Taika Waititi’s upcoming Apple TV+ series, Time Bandits. Kudrow will play a character named Penelope in the series which is an adaptation of the 1981 film of the same name. Kal-El Tuck, Charlyne Yi, Tadhg Murphy, Rachel House, and Rune Temte have also joined the cast as series regulars. Not much is known about the plot of the series which has been in development since 2019.

The cast of 1923, the prequel to the highly popular series Yellowstone, is getting bigger and better. Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn is set to star in the series which will be headlined by Hollywood veterans Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. Flynn will play Banner Creighton, the Scottish leader of the local sheepmen in the series that follows a new generation of the Dutton family during the early 20th century.

The Hindi adaptation of the winner of 5 Primetime Emmys, The Good Wife, may go on floors sooner than expected. It was previously reported that Kajol has been cast to play the lead on the show and now, it has emerged that Kubra Sait will be joining the cast as well. Sait has been pulled in to play the role of Kalinda Sharma, who is a private investigator with a legal firm. The role was played by British actress Archie Panjabi in the original series.
