10-Tending the Garden

Despite making two recordings, we encountered sound difficulties that could not be completely fixed. About halfway through, you may hear some echo (reverberation). But hang in there! It will correct within a few minutes. Thanks for your support! Our topic is tending your garden, "garden" being a euphemism for your lady parts that we borrowed from Song of Solomon. We're talking specifically about hygiene, "landscaping," and even decorating your garden. What have y'all learned about what constitutes good hygiene for a woman's private parts? More and more wives are grooming their garden—by shaving, waxing, or other hair removal. What do you think about that trend, and why has it become so popular? Not only can you landscape but you can decorate your garden—permanent and temporary tattoos, piercings, and vajazzling. What do y'all think about this practice? What does the Bible have to say, if anything, about how we care for our lady parts?

Ep 8Sex Toys

About this episode . . . Today we're talking about marital aids, often known as sex toys. Is it okay for Christian couples to use sex toys? When we think of sex toys, the vibrator is what usually comes to mind. Most of our conversations focuses on vibrators, but there are also things like nipple clamps, penis rings, dildos, butt plugs, masturbation sleeves, and more. The Bible doesn't say anything about sex toys. There is no "Thou shalt not use a vibrator," nor is there a toy mentioned in the Song of Solomon. There is no specific instruction that we are to use, or not use, sex toys. Why do so many couples use sex toys in the marriage bed. What do they think it adds? There are good reasons to use sex toys, and there are good reasons to avoid them. So how can a Christian couple decide whether sex toys are acceptable for them to use? What are the questions we should be asking ourselves? If we decide to use them, is there anything we should be on the lookout for to be sure we are still using them in a way that is consistent with God's plan for our sexual intimacy? From the Bible . . . What does God have to say about sex toys? The Bible doesn't say anything about sex toys. There is no "Thou shalt not use a vibrator," nor is there a toy mentioned in the Song of Solomon. There is no specific instruction that we are to use, or not use, sex toys. A Christian couple should approach this issue prayerfully, in consideration of Biblical principles and with the goal of intimacy. Resources . . . Ep 7Exercise and Sex

About this episode Today we're talking about exercise and sex. Wow, that sounds like a weird combination, doesn't it? What in the world do those two things have to do with each other? As it turns out, quite a bit. The benefits of regular exercise and physical activity for women are tremendous, and they include benefits for improving your sex life. Yes, that's right. Today we're going to make the case that exercising regularly is not only great for your health, it's great for sex and intimacy in your marriage. Ep 1Getting in the Mood

About this episode How can we help ourselves be interested—and ready—for sex? What are some of the challenges women face when it comes to getting in the mood? What does the bible have to say about getting ready for sex? What are some things we can actually do to help ourselves look forward to sex? From the Bible What does God have to say about getting in the mood? One biblical wife we know well is the woman in the Song of Solomon. One thing she does is describe--in detail--the physical attributes of her husband. My lover is dark and dazzling, better than ten thousand others! His head is finest gold, his wavy hair is black as a raven. His eyes sparkle like doves beside springs of water; they are set like jewels washed in milk. His cheeks are like gardens of spices giving off fragrance. His lips are like lilies, perfumed with myrrh. His arms are like rounded bars of gold, set with beryl. His body is like bright ivory, glowing with lapis lazuli. His legs are like marble pillars set in sockets of finest gold. His posture is stately, like the noble cedars of Lebanon. His mouth is sweetness itself; he is desirable in every way. Such, O women of Jerusalem, is my lover, my friend.
