The game of blind golf is growing around the world and there are many charities that will help you to play for fun, or even play in national and international competitions. Dance can be a great way to not only move your body, but also socialise, and express yourself. Goalball UK’s Performance Pathway Programme is benefitting players across the country, both on and off the court. Hywel Davies caught up with one of the pathway’s newest members to talk goalball, fundraising and marathon running.

Yahya Pandor, an RNIB See Sport Differently Ambassador recently completed the Manchester Marathon becoming the first person with sight loss to complete a marathon without being tethered to their guide. He spoke with our David Hogg.

Mark Rogerson has done something no European with sight loss has done before, he’s run all six of the world’s major marathons and raised 25 thousand pounds for RNIB. Following his final marathon in Boston, he spoke to our David Hogg.

RNIB Scotland, Cricket Scotland and Scottish Disability Sport have teamed up to organise an adaptive and inclusive cricket event for blind and partially sighted people in Scotland of all ages. The event is due to take place at Glasgow's Bellahouston Park on Saturday 27th of April and will have both visually impaired and sighted players learning to play the game which will be adapted for those with sight loss. They’re on the lookout for new members, collaborators, and guides to help more blind and partially sighted people get active and make new connections. Menna Fitzpatrick MBE and her Guide Skier Katie Guest got the Para Alpine season off to an excellent start in December with a silver followed by a gold in the St. Moritz Downhill World Cup in Switzerland and have just come back from Spain with even more medals with Bronze medals in both the World Cup Giant Slalom and Super G followed with Gold and Silver in the FIS Super G competitions. In a break in the Alpine para racing RNIB Connect Radio’s Toby Davey caught up with Menna to find out what that first competition of the season was like, how she and Katie prepare for their race while other skiers are doing their downhill runs, and how the communication and approach for slalom compare to the downhill racing.
