In front of a raucous home crowd, the England Men’s partially sighted football side advanced to the final of the competition following a hard-fought victory against Japan. The first final of the IBSA World Blind Games 2023 was won on Tuesday evening (21 August 2023) with Argentina winning the Women’s Blind Football Championships with a very close thought game against Japan. At the IBSA World Blind Games 2023 Women’s Blind Cricket teams from England, Australia and India competed against each other for the first time in an international competition and the first for the IBSA Games too.
