The Senate Committee vote to approve the nomination of Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. to head the Department of Health and Human Services was a hard-fought step in the right direction. It will still be necessary to continue to mobilize to win the vote for their confirmation in the full Senate, to end the Obama-Biden legacy of the U.S. as an imperial power. As we wait for clarification of President Trump's comments on Gaza yesterday, we must guard against turning "America First" into a new imperial order.

The banning of 11 opposition political parties, and the legal attack on one party leader, Natalia Vitrenko, exposes the fraud of Ukraine's "fight for freedom." It is time to cut off funds to Ukraine, to bring them to the negotiating table; and for the West to recognize that the war is lost, and agree to a peace with security guarantees for both Ukraine and Russia.

This will be a week of decision in Washington. As supporters of the "shadow government" demand the Senate reject Trump's choices to "drain the swamp", the Senators must hear from their constituents who are tired of funding endless wars driven by false intelligence, which endanger U.S. security and prosperity. As for Netanyahu's visit, there is an alternative to waging war against the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank: LaRouche's "Oasis Plan", which provides a powerful incentive for a lasting peace based on mutual development.

So far into the new administration, contradictory signals have been issued as to what to expect. Although, there exists the real possibility that a new security and development architecture may be advanced through the intense efforts of our interventions, including those of leaders around the world in Russia, China, and the Global South. The potential can be seen, for example, in President Trump’s remarks to journalists in the Oval Office about U.S./Russian discussions about ending the disastrous, Malthusian war which NATO forces launched in Ukraine on 2022. Trump noted that he would speak with President Vladimir Putin soon, and that he thinks will “perhaps do something that’ll be significant.” A similar dialogue is in the works between the U.S. and China. Schiller Institute Chairwoman and initiator of the International Peace Coalition (IPC) noted yesterday that the situation in Southwest Asia is clearly worrisome, and that President Trump’s misguided efforts to relocate Palestinians from Gaza into Egypt, Jordan, and Indonesia (an action which was also proposed by Secretary of State Tony “Bloody” Blinken in 2024) was unworkable, but that a real potential exists for the U.S., China, Russia, and other nations in the region to come together and discuss real development proposals for the Gaza Strip which would provide fresh water, agriculture, and the greening of the deserts which has prevented the region from becoming prosperous. This is Lyndon LaRouche’s Oasis Plan as he proposed it in 1975 when he was in Iraq. These concrete policy proposals, along with a dismantling of the so-called “Deep State” which has infected the intelligence community can break apart the Anglo-American, “Five Eyes” partnership that has shaped foreign policy since the death of Franklin Roosevelt in 1945. The confirmations of Tulsi Gabbard and Kash Patel into their respective positions of DNI and Director of the FBI will reverberate throughout the Deep State and result in many losing their jobs or ending up in prison. The hearings of both Gabbard and Patel yesterday in Washington, D.C. showed that they can stand their ground effectively against the barrage of slanders and threats they’re subjected to. But, we have a responsibility to act in these cases, and no shift in policy can occur without the citizens of the United States deciding to take a role.

The institutional opposition to LaRouche and his Oasis Plan, composed, in its essentials, over 50 years ago, came, not from Southwest Asia, but from the “Henry Kissinger” Anglo-American intelligence agencies that still oppose it today. These agencies, used regularly by powerful financial forces to violate the United States Constitution and its Preamble’s “promotion of the General Welfare” clause, have to be restructured, or abolished. The very welcome release of the JFK, MLK and RFK assassination files—but only now, decades after the occurrence of those events—demonstrates why. The near-ruination of America’s national security capability—and through it, the American Republic itself—by means of criminal, treasonous operations carried out through the “special relationship” with British intelligence, and its extension known as “the Five Eyes,” had brought the Presidency to the precipice of disaster, from September 11, 2001, until the recent process leading up to the election of November 5, 2024. (This involved not only the American elections, but also the emergence of the BRICS and BRICS-Plus nations during 2023 and 2024, including their attempted role in the Ukraine conflict, and especially South Africa’s role at the International Court of Justice.) If the appointments to the position of Director of National Intelligence and head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) go through as proposed, that corrosive U.S.-U.K. “special relationship” can undergo a political root-canal. With respect to Tulsi Gabbard, 60 intelligence professionals have just endorsed the Gabbard nomination for Director of National Intelligence.

As of now, it's not clear if the Senate will confirm Tulsi Gabbard as DNI or Kash Patel as FBI Director. What we did learn from the hearings is that most of the Senators are still mentally trapped in a world controlled by the oligarchs through the corporate cartels that own the Military-Industrial-Financial Complex, but that Gabbard and Patel seem intent on changing that. There is still time for you to call your Senators and demand that they vote to confirm Gabbard and Patel.

The perfidious network of Anglo-American “Deep State” bureaucrats and intelligence operatives hereafter denounced as “The Liars’ Bureau” have come out in full force to prevent the nominations of Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence, and Kash Patel for Director of the FBI. Today’s hearings on the nominations of both those individuals commenced in the U.S. Senate. Gabbard’s hearing, in particular, revealed the utter panic spreading among certain morally compromised members of the Senate. Several of them appear either to be working on behalf of the “citizens above suspicion” of the intelligence community, attempting to prevent illegal “dirty tricks” from coming to public scrutiny, or are, in fact, intelligence agents themselves who conveniently occupy positions in the Senate. Members of the Senate Intelligence Committee, both from the Republican Party and Democratic Party, focused largely on attacking Gabbard’s past defense of NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. Snowden made the courageous decision to reveal documents which showed that an either treasonous or corrupt faction of government had been clearly violating Americans’ Fourth Amendment rights, through the warrantless surveillance of telecommunications and other electronic devices. Snowden had tweeted on X, just before the hearings started: “Tulsi Gabbard will be required to disown all prior support for whistleblowers as a condition of confirmation today. I encourage her to do so. Tell them I harmed national security and the sweet, soft feelings of staff. In D.C., that's what passes for the pledge of allegiance.” The pressure on Gabbard to recant her truthful view of Snowden, as well as other “Deep State” crimes, such as the NATO-provoked war against Russia in Ukraine, or the dirty war in Syria by the Obama Administration, reflect a deep fear on the part of the “Liars’ Bureau” that Gabbard, Patel and others may expose other inconvenient truths. These revelations could not only put certain people in jail, but also put the American people back in charge of their government. That was a power that was taken away, perhaps by members of the “IC” (Intelligence Community,) over 60 years ago, on November 22, 1963. A group of 25-30 people from across the country gathered in Washington, DC on Wednesday to lobby the U.S. Senate to support Gabbard and Patel. Just five days into the Trump Administration, it is clear things are moving very quickly. The content on many of these matters are mixed, but what’s obvious is that a huge transition is underway in the United States, as was just seen with President Trump’s signing of an executive order on Jan. 23 announcing “the full and complete release” of all records on the JFK assassination, to then be followed with the assassinations of Robert F. Kennedy and Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. What’s relevant about these releases is not what the documents in themselves will reveal, but the beginning of the reversal of the past 60 years of cultural and moral decay within the American population. The assassination of President John F. Kennedy, along with the Warren Commission coverup headed by such traitors as Allen Dulles and John J. The Jan. 20 inauguration of President Donald Trump and his flurry of statements and executive decrees over the following 48 hours have riveted the attention of a world in commotion. “The whole world is looking at the United States, and depending on what political camp you are in, between hope and fear,” Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche commented today, at the outset of her weekly Dialogue webcast. The situation, she added, is “complicated and multi-faceted,” and Trump’s actions are not all coherent with each other. He is impulsive and innovative at the same time. But far too many people are wasting time debating whether the glass is half empty, or half full, listing off the good and the bad things Trump is doing and saying – when what is actually happening is that the entire nature of the “glass” they think they are looking at has changed dramatically. And that transformation demands our immediate action. “We are now experiencing a tectonic change, where the 500 years of colonialism is coming to an end, and the BRICS countries are trying to create a system which allows for the economic development of the Global South.” They have become protagonists in the shaping of Man’s future. Despite his uninformed (and counterproductive) attacks on the BRICS, President Trump has stated his desire to prevent World War III, to normalize relations with Putin’s Russia and end the Ukraine war, to cooperate with China to make the world a better place for all nations. This change has created a strategic opening that must be quickly leveraged to bring about a new reality “on the ground.” The most urgent –perhaps also the hardest – place for that to happen is in Southwest Asia. The Israel-Palestine crisis, including the genocide in Gaza and increasingly in the West Bank, can only be solved by reconstructing the entire area along the lines proposed by Lyndon LaRouche’s Oasis Plan. Abundant fresh water, power, high-speed rail lines, a rebuilt health and education infrastructure are all within reach. Only by getting to work on building that infrastructure can real optimism for the future be created, an optimism that {both} Israelis and Palestinians so desperately need. To those who argue today that a political solution is needed before the economics can proceed, Lyndon LaRouche responded 35 years ago, on August 21, 1990: “For years, our proposals for economic development, have been repeatedly brushed aside, with the advice that a political settlement must come first, and then an economic cooperation for general development of the region, might become possible. We have repeatedly said, and rightly so, that that line of argument is wrong, and even dangerously absurd.
