23. May 2021 Pentecost Acts 2 A grave threat to the Church has appeared, hiding in plain sight. It has already decimated the Church's ranks. It is a deadly threat because it upends the very foundation of the Church. It's not pastoral cowardice, false teaching, or spiritual abuse. It's not people's fickleness, selfish need to feel good about themselves, or their hunger for novelty. The Church has always faced these dangers, but they have always been defeated by God's faithful, loving-kindness toward his Church.

09. May 2021 Rogate John 16:23-30 Yes, prayer is hard. it requires discipline, persistence, and patience. The struggle grappling with God in prayer is not because of some intrinsic failure of God. It’s only hard because you fail to listen, receive, and be blessed by God through His Word and gifts. The fight is not with God. He has promised to hear, answer, and provide. And so, Jesus teaches you to prayer. He gives you the words to speak. He establishes the rhythm and pattern of the Christian life lived in prayer. Because Jesus died for you, you know, without a shadow of doubt, that God the Father loves you, hears you, and always answers you.

As history and experience have proven, the political class won’t help and save us. They are leading this delusion. We don't need more lockdowns, social isolation and masks to break free of death. That's cultish thinking, and it won't help you save yourself. Only Jesus can and does save you from personal, economic and social destruction. He is the Author of your life and the Creator of your body, soul, and mind. His baptismal promises are your true and only wealth. Gathering with brother and sister Christians around His body and blood is your society, the congregation of sinners redeemed by the blood of Christ.
