I know we don't really talk much about money (it's not very polite, is it?) but I feel it's important to know and understand what the money side of private practice can look like for Counsellors. While my working life had been almost entirely Medicare-based, I had to start a PP from scratch once I retired from Psychology. I generated 6 figures in the first 12 months of pp as a Counsellor without ACA / PACFA benefits, without rebates, without Medicare etc. I want to share my own experience with you so that you can see what it was like behind the scenes of starting all over again. You can create a 6 figure business in your first 12 months too - I 100% believe that and know it to be true. So, I'm sharing how I did it, what it happened and where my business is heading. In this episode, I'll share with you a ritual / routine that I use in private practice before I do things like work with a mentee, a supervisee, a coachee or record a podcast / email everyone etc. I think it's really helpful to have a little routine because every time you do it, it creates muscle memory and muscles are energy so I believe it also creates a little bit of energetic memory too! Create flow, disconnect and still receive inquiries, income and more in your private practice when you allow yourself to harmonise your work with the energy of the phases of the moon. Yes, it's a real thing and I love it so much because it gave me back my time, my sanity and connected me more deeply with the cycles of nature (which meant I became more grounded). Working with the moon gave me permission to work less, to be creative, to be away from the practice and to be present while I was in it. It stripped away the things that weren't necessary or required in order for me to create success in my private practice, such as a scarcity or a fear mindset. I loved learning about the moon so much that I created a framework that I then tested in my private practice and the results were exciting!
