S1 Ep 26S1E26 -The Spiritual Revolution To Addiction Recovery
The Spiritual Revolution To Addiction Recovery Michaelis Jacoby was born and raised in Los Angeles California. As a teenager and into his early 20’s, Michaelis battled with addiction, depression and ADHD. Please call or text me any time if I can help you or a loved one get help. (949)751-7761 Several brushes with the law pushed him into a court committed 12 step experience. Michaelis was introduced to this philosophy July 1, 1999 and has remained sober ever since. Michaelis received the gift of a sober lifestyle and has dedicated his life to helping others achieve the same success. Michaelis has spent twenty of his twenty-four years of sobriety working in the treatment and sober living community. During this time, Michaelis facilitated countless group sessions, family group sessions and one on one sessions with clients. He has worked with clients suffering from the entire spectrum of mental illness. Once sober, Michaelis struggled with several of his own process addictions. He explored other fellowships to treat these maladaptive belief and coping mechanisms. Unfortunately, Michaelis did not find the relief he was looking for. This led him to trying to end his life twice in his first nine years of sobriety. In 2009, Michaelis was introduced to a life changing selfless practice. Although this process did not immediately free him of these maladaptive coping mechanisms, he received the relief he was looking for. Michaelis has implemented this practice daily with consistency and volume for the last 15 years of his sobriety. The results have been miraculous. He is free. Through this process, Michaelis realized that once alcohol and drugs were removed from his life, he was suffering from the struggles of the human condition. He learned that these maladaptive belief and behavior systems were not distinct to addicts. Every human being suffers from some level of depression, anxiety, anger, jealousy and the like. Michaelis understood that these struggles were rooted in self-centeredness. Although Michaelis continued to teach this path to addicts around the world, he wanted to do more. He wanted to make this path available to people outside of the 12-step fellowships. Michaelis has published a book called, "The Spiritual Revolution: a precise path to personal peace." This book is not only an easy introduction to healing principles, it is also a practice. The practice is rooted in selflessness and intimate connection with the people we come in contact with. The book does not heal its readers solely on the premise of self-knowledge. The book heals through altruistic action. Michaelis hopes that through the intended utilization of this book, everyone can participate in the path to world peace My name is Pej and I am a drug and alcohol interventionist! S1 Ep 21S1E21 -My Mess Is My Message W/ Sean O Grady
My Mess Is My Message W/ Sean O Grady Need Help? Text Me here ⬇ https://msha.ke/interventionist/ Let's connect on social! https://www.tiktok.com/@pejinterventions https://www.instagram.com/drug_interv... https://www.facebook.com/PejizCorner/ If you measure your success and growth in comparison to others you will miss your own achievements and trajectory. Compare and despair is a unhealthy place to be and in this fast-paced, ever-changing world of media and content curation it can be easy to get "lost in the sauce". This was Sean's mindset for far too long, he is now able to embrace every experience as part of the journey good and bad. Enjoy the process. "My mess is my message." It is easy to fall into victim hood, or have imposter syndrome lacking confidence in oneself. Our brain's can be our own worst enemies. He has struggled with those demons for far too long, as well as the "compare and despair" mindset and "the grass is always greener" which never allows one to be present, enjoy the process, see the growth organically, or be grateful for what you have. Feeling like he started life behind the 8-Ball, born into a family with a history of alcohol abuse and being overweight from a young age ingrained in him to always feel like "an other", or someone different from his peers. This got worse and perpetuated into an unhealthy relationship with himself, others, and society as a whole. Food was his first addiction, love and validation from the opposite sex, and eventually finding drugs and alcohol to appease his lack of love for himself. A habitual marijuana smoker, drinker, and sampler of other illicit substances this was a crash course in debauchery that took him on a 2.5 decade journey into oblivion that he was fortunate enough to grind to a halt in June 2017 when he got his 3rd DUI and sought the assistance of the recovery system in Orange County, CA. He needed an escape from himself, his geography, the ghosts of his past and present, and start fresh in the area he hoped to finally start making career strides in if he maintained his sobriety. Living and working in Los Angeles it can be easy to fall into these tropes and traps. Everyone here has 8 separate hustles that pay. Everyone here is working with or has worked with someone you idolize. Stardom. Fame. Glamour. The high-life all seem one Instagram post or TikTok viral video away from catapulting your life into the 4th dimension. Few want to put in the actual reps or time to get there and that's what sets him apart. Growing up outside of Washington, D.C. Sean was blessed with a stellar work ethic, a determined mindset, and an exuberant personality that enables me to stand out amongst his peers and the general public. After cutting his teeth in the music, culture, and arts scene along the East Coast he moved out to California to clean his life up, get sober, and test his mettle professionally because he wanted to give 100% of himself to see if he had what it takes to make it in LA. 6 years later, sober and thriving in one of the most competitive and cut throat industries in existence he's persevered on and continued to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of the LA creative community. Joe has worked in healthcare for nearly 33 years. He started off as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Emergency room and Intensive Care treatment. After 10 years in the acute care setting, Joe became a Medical Marketing professional selling a number of different medical services and products for 18 years, owning his own medical equipment company for 7 of those years. Four years ago Joe decided to transition into the SUD/Mental Health space of healthcare. A decision born from Joe's sincere desire to help people just like him. Joe recovered from his own battle with drugs and alcohol just over nine years ago. Since transitioning into SUD/Mental health treatment, Joe has worked as an Outreach Coordinator, Treatment Advocate and most recently as an Interventionist. While working in outreach Joe realized he had a natural ability to connect, not only with his fellow addicts, but also their families and loved ones. Joe states that “When the family is educated on addiction and their loved ones behavior, they become enlightened and empowered. This is when together we can create an impactful and life changing experience and get their afflicted loved one to agree to treatment and a new life!” Joe professionally trained as an interventionist and launched his new intervention practice, Transcend Interventions in 2021. S1 Ep 18S1E18 -Beating Addiction & Chasing Your Dreams
Beating Addiction & Chasing Your Dreams Wesley Geer is a professional guitar player, songwriter, recording artist, and producer, who signed his first record deal to Jive Records with the band he founded, (Hed) P.E. Wes toured the world for nearly a decade, and the band sold over 1 million records worldwide. What many didn’t know at the time was while he was masterminding, and leading his band to the member’s first-ever record deal, Wes was a full-blown drug addict, using alcohol, methamphetamines and other drugs, daily, for years. Subscribe for more recovery livestreams and information! / @pejtheaddictioninterventionist As a progressive disease, no matter the efforts to quell his addiction and control it, things continually got worse. After nearly a decade of touring the world, with the biggest names in rock, Wes’ life was imploding, and he finally left in 2003, for a ‘lifestyle change’ that ultimately ended him up in rehab in 2004. In rehab, he learned tools for recovery and latched onto the stories of others that had overcome their addictions, stories of people being so far down in a deadly hole, but somehow not only got sober but achieved great things. The following years found Wes as an instructor at Fusion Academy & Learning Center, an alternative school where he taught music to 6th through 12th graders who had struggled in more traditional academic settings. These same troubled students often succeeded in Fusion’s adaptive one-on-one learning environment. Geer’s love of teaching blossomed during his time. His classes served as the earliest prototype for R2R; he and one student at a time would write and play songs together. Geer said he quickly noticed “the engagement and the buy-in” the students had in these sessions was much greater than a typical ‘lesson’ as the student’s energy was transformed with hope and self-esteem while songwriting and playing music together. In 2010, Wes decided he wanted to get back into music and started praying and meditating on what that would look like. Not long after, and only because he was sober, Geer was offered the gig as a guitarist with the legendary rock band Korn. He traveled the world, performing in more than 40 countries with the multi-platinum stars, as well as appeared numerous live televised and studio recording sessions. Geer was then moved to give back, wanting to create something that could help people who struggled the same way he had. He then founded Rock to Recovery (R2R), a non-profit organization created on 12/12/12 with the purpose of providing those in various types of treatment and recovery programs the cathartic, uplifting, healing experience of connectivity through playing music. It’s a therapy Geer himself turned to after years of abusing drugs and alcohol. During his stay in rehab, he admits that music was his “most intimate friend” during his darkest days, allowing him to cope with the rollercoaster of emotions that consumed his early days in treatment. S1 Ep 10S1E10 -The Spiritual Revolution To Addiction Recovery
S1 Ep 7S1E7 -Nickole's triumph over addiction!!!
Nickole's triumph over addiction!!! Nickole grew up in a single parent home with her mom and brother. A family friend started molesting her at age 8 to 12 years. Nickole started drinking periodically at age 11 and it progressively got worse. She then started free basing cocaine after school with some older friends then continued with some meth in between. She claims she was still "functioning" addict working and going to school. By the age of 20 she was using vicodin from doctors after a medical procedure. Met her kids father and was pregnant using and she managed to quit prior to giving birth. Her son was taken to the newborn ICU and you would think she was waiting to hold her baby but as soon as she had him she made her way down to her car with an IV in her arm and got her dope out of the car and went back upstairs to slam. Running the streets on skidrow doing things she said she'd never do. She finally went to prison and got clean. She graduated with honors from the streets to the seats. She is a miracle because her God made a way for her to help another person! S1 Ep 6S1E6 -My Mess Is My Message W/ Sean O Grady
