S1 Ep 64Back On Home Ice | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 15

The Edmonton Oilers are back at Rogers Place tonight and, in their last few home games, things have started to get better for the Copper and Blue. The Oilers have won two in a row on home ice, and three of their last four, and tonight they will look to keep that home streak alive when they host the St Louis Blues. The last time the Blues were in town it was a Saturday afternoon snooze fest. St Louis won the game 2-0 with one of those goals being an empty netter. Jack Campbell had a solid game that afternoon stopping 20 of 21 shots and finishing with a 0.952 save percentage. Despite that, Stuart Skinner gets the start between the pipes for Jay Woodcroft's Oilers. Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff will join today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday. We will talk with him about the rumours surrounding Jesse Puljujarvi, updates on the NHL's salary cap and what is going to happen with Bo Horvat in Vancouver.  Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 63Smashing Nashville | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 14

Last night, Leon Draisaitl was re-elected as the Mayor of Smashville, after putting together his second five point game versus the Nashville Predators this season. The Oilers forward now had 35 points (22 goals, 13 assists) against the Predators in 21 career games, which is incredible. Draisaitl was not the only player to put up big numbers last night with Zach Hyman scoring his first career hat trick and Connor McDavid grabbing four points for himself. It was not an ideal start between the pipes for Jack Campbell, who allowed the first shot of the game to beat him. However, the Oilers netminder bounced back making some big saves to finish with a .906 save percentage and his 8th win of the season. On today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk will recap everything that happened in last night's 6-3 win over Nashville. He will talk about his three big takeaways from the game, along with that, a certain NHL general manager continues to watch Oilers games. You can hear all of that and more on today's show, as well as, the guy's Betway Bets of the Day.  Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 62The Mayor of Smashville | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 13

The Edmonton Oilers lost a tight one last night on the road versus the Minnesota Wild. Their biggest struggle was generating offensive scoring chances, producing only 21 shots on goal. They did manage to get one by Marc-Andre Fleury, who was between the pipes for the Wild, when Zach Hyman banked home the rebound to tie the game up at one. Unfortunately for Edmonton, Frédérick Gaudreau scored the game winner for Minnesota in the second period to give them a 2-1 win. Tonight, the Oilers will look to get back in the win column as they head to Nashville to take on the Predators. Of course, one storyline that rules them all when Edmonton faces Nashville is that Leon Draisaitl completely owns them. In 21 games, Draisaitl has 30 points, with 20 of those being goals. In their last game versus the Predators, the Oilers superstar had a five-point night with a goal and four assists. We teased it yesterday, but today Jay Downton will join the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show live from Nashville. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will be around to prepare you for tonight's Oilers game.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 60A Wild Friday Night | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 9

The Edmonton Oilers let loose on Wednesday night putting eight by the Arizona Coyotes. They have now won five of their last seven games, and while most of them have not been pretty, they are finding a way to get the job done. Tonight, the Oilers will be looking for back-to-back wins when they host the travelling Minnesota Wild. It was only last week when they last faced the Wild. It did not go as planned that evening falling 5-3, despite having a 2-1 lead earlier in the game. To help preview tonight's game, Tyler Yaremchuk, Jay Downton, and Liam Horrobin will be around for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show on Oilersnation Everyday. S1 Ep 59Mr. Klim | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 8

Last night, the Edmonton Oilers came out and did exactly what they were supposed to do. They dominated the Arizona Coyotes, who were finishing a 14-game road trip, and had 12 different players collect points in an 8-2 victory. The two points mean the Oilers have now won five of their last seven games. Are they finally taking a turn for the better? One notable performer was Klim Kostin, who is quickly becoming a fan favourite since being acquired from St Louis. Kostin finished the night with two points and also a fight after taking on league heavyweight, and former Oiler, Zack Kassian. Before the action began on the ice, a story dropped yesterday about some comments that Jesse Puljujarvi to a journalist from Finland. The core of the story was that Puljujarvi is struggling and how he does not have the answer to break out of his slump. We will discuss the comments today on Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 58Starting On Time | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 7

Tonight, the #EdmontonOilers take on the #ArizonaCoyotes down at Rogers Place, with the puck dropping around 7:37 pm. If somebody could now please inform the players that the game starts at that time, maybe the #Oilers can get out to a promising start against one of the worst teams in the #NHL. The game tonight feels very important for #Edmonton. They have been on a decent run recently; however, a loss to the #Coyotes, who are finishing a 14-game road trip, could prove to be deflating for this team. Despite the loss on Monday versus the #WashingtonCapitals, there were a couple of big positives to take away from it. Of course, the play from rookie goaltender Stuart Skinner was a big one, making 47 saves on the night; however, it was another rookie that deserves praise too. Dylan Holloway had a fantastic take, and while he did not score, he was one of the few to impact the game. Could we possibly see his minutes elevated tonight? Finally, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joins Oilersnation Everyday to talk about the #ErikKarlsson to Edmonton Rumours, along with other ways the Oilers could improve, Shane Wright, and much more. S1 Ep 57Thankful for Stuart Skinner | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 6

Well, last night was not a great performance from the Edmonton Oilers. If it was not for an outstanding game from Stuart Skinner, the Oilers would have been out of the game long before Nick Dowd scored the game winner in the third period. Edmonton's rookie goaltender made 47 saves and allowed three goals in a 3-2 defeat against the Washington Capitals. Washington is also a depleted team which makes the outcome that little bit worse. Today on Oilersnation Everyday, Tyler Yaremchuk will dig into last night's game. He will go over the positive and negative takeaways from a game in which the Oilers should have won heading into it. We also want to hear what you thought of the game. Head over to our YouTube page, The Nation Network, and drop your comments in the chat. Throughout the show, Liam Horrobin will drop in and out to give his thoughts too. Then, during the wrap, the two of them will give out their Betway bets of the day for tonight's NHL slate.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 56Taking on Ovi & the Caps | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 5

It is a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show edition of Oilersnation Everyday. Tyler Yaremchuk is back for another episode to get you prepared for tonight's game versus the Washington Capitals, along with Jay Downton. Before they get into the action on the ice tonight, they will recap what went down at Rogers Place on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens. It was a different kind of game but the Oilers came out on top 5-3 to get back in the win column and they now have a record of 4-1-0 in their last five games. Of course, we will be talking about Connor McDavid or as some people like to call him now "McPowerplay". There has been lots of chatter on the Twitterverse recently about how McDavid only scores points on the powerplay. While that may be the case, to an extent, Tyler wants to ask the question, what other player in the NHL can dominate the game like the Edmonton Oilers captain?  Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 54No More Legs | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 2

Unfortunately, last night the Edmonton Oilers three game win streak came to an end. At one point, they did hold a 2-1 lead over the Minnesota Wild; however, the legs were not there for Edmonton, who fell 5-3. Despite scoring three goals, the team struggled to generate much offence, with only 11 shots through the first two periods. Jack Campbell got the start yesterday and did not have one of his better performances. Is this loss on Campbell, or does the team need to improve defensively still in front of him? Like every Friday, Baggedmilk joins Oilersnation Everyday for the Bro Down! If you have been keeping up with the Oilersnation antics this week, you will know that Baggedmilk and Tyler Yaremchuk have been beefing over the potential cancellation of the Beetcast. Tune into today's show as the two go head-to-head to discuss the matter. Also on the show, Liam Horrobin joins for the Betway Bets of the Day. Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 53Battle of the 97s | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Dec 1

The Edmonton Oilers continue their road trip tonight and finish off a back-to-back set in Minnesota against the Wild. Tonight is the first meeting of a few in December versus the Wild as the oilers look to make it three wins in a row. Last night, Edmonton looked comfortable for the majority of the game in Chicago, and led 4-1 late in the third period. However, a couple minutes of lacklustre plays exposed the team and soon Chicago found themselves back in the game at 4-3. Both teams would score again making 5-4, but a last second save from Stuart Skinner gave the Oilers the two points. Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton will react to last night's win along with giving their thoughts on tonights game versus the Wild. They will also be joined by Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff, who will fill us in with all the news surrounding the team along with what is going on in the NHL. Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 49Does Philip Broberg Help? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 25

It has been a spicy week for the Edmonton Oilers, but not in a good way. After losing to the New York Islanders on Wednesday, fans were left frustrated with the performances this team has been putting out on the ice. Now, with the New York Rangers coming up on Saturday, a team that also went to the final four last season, how will the Oilers respond? One change that was made today was recalling Philip Broberg, their first-round pick from 2019, from the Bakersfield Condors and sending down Markus Niemelainen. Broberg was called up earlier in the season but did not play before being sent down again. In the American Hockey League this season, the Swedish defenceman has dressed in seven games scoring twice and collecting four points. Is Broberg the solution to the team's blueline woes? We want to hear your thoughts on the decision.Like every Friday, Baggedmilk will join Oilersnation Everyday to discuss the decision to call up Broberg and also about the team's recent run of games.  Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 48Not Good Enough | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 24

Last night, the Edmonton Oilers could not find a way by Ilya Sorokin after firing 49 shots at the New York Islanders. At the other end of the ice, they could not help out their goaltending, Jack Campbell, who was not at fault for last night's loss. Edmonton is now 0-2-0 on their three-game road trip, with the New York Rangers next up on Saturday. Tyler Yaremchuk will cover everything that happened in last night's loss in Long Island. Following 60 minutes of action yesterday, the Oilers hit the 20-game mark and now sit at 500 and outside of a playoff spot at American Thanksgiving. The stats say that teams outside of a playoff spot at this date have a 23% chance of making the postseason. With that said, Tyler graded each player from a passing to need to better. S1 Ep 47Oilers vs Islanders + trade talks with Frank | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 23

The Edmonton Oilers have been consistently inconsistent since losing to the New Jersey Devils at Rogers Place on November 3rd. They struggle to put wins together; however, they are not staying in the loss column for long. It is a streak they will want to break out of, and tonight they will have a chance to gain two more points against the New York Islanders. To get your prepared for tonight's action on the ice, Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton will be around for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show. S1 Ep 46The Road Trip Starts With an L | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 22

Last night, the Edmonton Oilers could not find a way to end the New Jersey Devils' win streak falling 5-2 to the Metropolitan Division leaders. The score line did not look good for the Oilers; however, it was not all doom and gloom. We will get into why there are positives to take away from last night on Oilersnation Everyday. Stuart Skinner had a difficult night between the pipes, arguably the only time he has underperformed this season. S1 Ep 45Looking To End The Streak | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 21

The Edmonton Oilers grabbed themselves a massive win on Saturday night, defeating the Vegas Golden Knights in overtime. It was the Oilers first trip to overtime in the 2022-23 season and with it came another highlight reel goal from Connor McDavid. The depth scoring also showed for the home team with Warren Foegele getting the first goal of the game and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins finishing with three assists. Between the pipes, rookie goaltender Stuart Skinner stayed hot, making 31 saves on 34 shots. Tonight, it does not get any easier for Skinner and the Oilers as they visit the New Jersey Devils, the top team in the Metropolitan Division. Only a couple of weeks ago, the Devils came to Rogers Places and beat Edmonton 4-3, after scoring two goals in seven seconds in the third period. The Oilers will look to redeem themselves from that defeat.Like every Oilers game day, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will be joined by Jay Downton for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre-Game Show. S1 Ep 42Was the Edler hit dirty? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 17

The Edmonton Oilers lost narrowly to the LA Kings last night at Rogers Place; however, that is not the story that is making the headline. Oilers star forward Connor McDavid took a knee-on-knee hit from Kings defenceman Alex Edler, who received a two-minute penalty on the player. When Zach Hyman was on the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edler did the same thing, which put Hyman out of the lineup for two months and received a two-game suspension. The Edmonton Oilers their four game road trip with a 4-2 victory over the Florida Panthers. Warren Foegele scored the game winner in the third period with the other two goals coming from Tyson Barrie (twice) and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Stuart Skinner was fantastic for the Oilers stopping 40 of 42 shots, including 20 in the first period. It was an up-and-down road trip for Edmonton, to say the least. They had two good wins over Tampa Bay and Florida; however, they lost in poor fashion to both the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals. After everything that happened, should this road trip be viewed as a negative or a positive for this team?Joining us on Oilersnation Everyday for his inaugural appearance is Connor Halley from TSN 1260. S1 Ep 34A massive two points | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 9

Boy oh boy, did the Edmonton Oilers ever did that win last night versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 3-2 over the Eastern Conference Champions ended a three game losing streak for Edmonton and put them back two games over .500. However, it was not just about the two points for Edmonton last night, the performance as a whole was positive in many ways with players throwing the monkeys away and the special teams showing up. Unfortunately, it was not all positive with Evander Kane leaving the game with a devastating injury. After making contact with Patrick Maroon's skate, Kane rushed to the bench with a forearm injury that could leave him out of the lineup for a while. Our thoughts are with Kane and wish him a speedy recovery.Joining the show for his weekly appearance is Frank Seravalli from dailyfaceoff.com. S1 Ep 33The PK Killer | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 8th

The Edmonton Oilers dropped their third game in a row last night, and their first on the road this season. A 5-4 decision versus the Washington Capitals now leaves the Oilers with a 7-6-0 record to begin the season. The team has struggled to find much consistency and the penalty kill has played a massive role in that. Tonight, the Oilers look to bounce back against the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have been to the last three Stanley Cup Finals. What do they do have success tonight in Tampa Bay? The obvious answer is to be better on the penalty kill and stay out of the box. Like every Oilers gameday, Jay Downton joins us on Oilersnation Everyday for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show. S1 Ep 28Leon & The Oilers Hit Five | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 2

The polls are closed and the votes have been counted and we can proudly say that Leon Draisaitl is still the Mayor of Nashville, Tennessee. Last night, Draisaitl put on a clinic in the Edmonton Oilers 7-4 win over the Nashville Predators putting together a five-point night. The Oilers also got big contributions from Connor McDavid, with two goals and two assists, and Evander Kane, who scored his first hat trick of the season. With the win, Edmonton has now extended their win streak to five with the New Jersey Devils coming into town next. One talking point from last night was the play by Jack Campbell. Again, Campbell delivered a subpar performance statistically; however, when you see the goals he allowed there aren't many goaltenders in the NHL that would've made those saves. Is this now a case of Campbell still adjusting to playing in Edmonton or do the Oilers need to play hard in front of him? Like every Wednesday, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joined Oilersnation Everyday and gave us an update on what is going on around the NHL. He spoke about McDavid's race to 50, the Oilers goaltending and also the coaching situations in Toronto and Nashville. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 27The Mayor of Smashville | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 1

Leon Draisaitl has found a way to take to the Nashville Predators every time he goes up against them. The Oilers star has 16 points in his last six games against Nashville, therefore, making him the Mayor of Smashville. In his career, he has 25 points (19 goals, 6 assists) in 20 games and he will look to extend that tally tonight when the Oilers host the Predators at Rogers Place. Edmonton will also look for their fifth win in a row in their return to home ice.On the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton get you all set up for the action on the ice. They discussed the Oilers projected lineup, Jack Campbell starting between the pipes, and the usage of Dylan Holloway.Later in the show, Liam Horrobin joins for the Betway Bets of the Day. After going two for two last night, he gave out two more picks for tonight's Oilers matchup. Tyler and Jay then chimed in with their picks, which included a bet for Mr Foegoal. Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 26The Oilers are playing spooky good! | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 31st

Spooky season is upon us but there is nothing scary about the Edmonton Oilers' recent run of performances. After splitting the first six games of the season at home, the Oilers went on the road and beat the St Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, and Calgary Flames. They are now on a four-game winning streak with back-to-back games coming up at home versus the Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars.Any question mark around the team right now revolved around the goaltending. Jack Campbell has been solid for this team but rookie Stuart Skinner has been excellent for them with a 1.79 goals-against average and a 0.955 save percentage in four games. Skinner may have now forced the hand of the staff to make him the starter moving forward. Also on the show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin got into the Halloween spirit with a Trick or Treat segment. They went back and forth on which teams/players have been treats to start the year and who has tricked us. Finally, to close out the show, the boys gave out their Betway picks of the day ahead of tonight's NHL action. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 25McDavid Comes Through | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 28th

Last night's game in Chicago was a strange one, but the Edmonton Oilers managed to find a way. Leon Draisaitl fired home the game winner with 48 seconds left to give Edmonton a 6-5 win for their third victory in a row. Zach Hyman, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and a hat trick from Connor McDavid provided the other goals on the night. The biggest talking point from the game was a goal that did not count. Evander Kane's goal in the second period was called back for goaltender interference. The goal was initially called a good goal on the ice but then was overturned by the officials. The moment has led to many conversations in the city today.Like every Friday, Baggedmilk joined Oilersnation Everyday for the Bro Down. He spoke about that moment with Kane, how well Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has played this season and his overall thoughts from last night's game.Tyler Yaremchuk covers all of that and more on today's edition of Oilersnation Everyday.  Hosted on Acast. They are 4-2-0 making tonight's game a more difficult test than first imagined.Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton previewed tonight's game on the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show. S1 Ep 21McDavid vs Crosby | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 24th

The Edmonton Oilers' offense went dry on Saturday afternoon getting shut out by the St Louis Blues. An early goal from Torey Krug on the powerplay gave the Blues the lead and then Justin Faulk sealed the victory with an empty net goal. That is all of the offense St Louis needed to takedown Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers. Tonight, the Oilers will look to bounce back and get the offense following again when they welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins to town. The Penguins have not lost a game in regulation to start the season and have had 14 different players find the back of the night. S1 Ep 11Why the Oilers lost the Battle of Alberta - Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk October 17th

Saturday night did not go as planned for the Edmonton Oilers. After 12 minutes, they found themselves down 4-1 and their new goaltender was sat on the bench after a disappointing performance. The good news is that Stuart Skinner looked solid in relief and the Oilers found a way to make it a game. The other bad news is that the Oilers were down by three goals for the second game in a row. This leaves Oilers fans asking plenty of questions. Is Jack Campbell truly the answer between the pipes? Is this blueline good enough to win a Stanley Cup? Should Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid always be the go-to answer?Making his first appearance on Oilersnation Everyday was Cooomzy. He joined Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin to answer all of those questions. To close out the show, Tyler and Liam recapped their weekend of betting in both the NHL and NFL. Then finally, they gave out some picks for tonight’s NHL action. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
