S1 Ep 33The PK Killer | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 8th
The Edmonton Oilers dropped their third game in a row last night, and their first on the road this season. A 5-4 decision versus the Washington Capitals now leaves the Oilers with a 7-6-0 record to begin the season. The team has struggled to find much consistency and the penalty kill has played a massive role in that. Tonight, the Oilers look to bounce back against the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have been to the last three Stanley Cup Finals. What do they do have success tonight in Tampa Bay? The obvious answer is to be better on the penalty kill and stay out of the box. Like every Oilers gameday, Jay Downton joins us on Oilersnation Everyday for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show. He will help us recap last night's defeat and then look ahead to what is to come tonight. You can expect all of that and more on Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk. Hosted on Acast. S1 Ep 32The Roadie Begins + Ryan Holt from the Bakersfield Condors | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 7th

After beating the Nashville Predators earlier in the week, a seven second blunder prevented them from beating the New Jersey Devils and then a lacklustre performance versus Dallas Stars gave the Oilers a 1-2-0 record at home. Now, Connor McDavid and the Oilers look to get back in the win column when they take on the Washington Capitals tonight. The Caps have struggled to find consistency for much of the season and head into this game on a four game losing streak. Also on the show, we will be joined by Ryan Holt from the Bakersfield Condors. S1 Ep 31Getting Back On Track | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 5th
The Edmonton Oilers are back in action this afternoon versus the Dallas Stars. They are coming off their first loss in five games after dropping a 4-3 decision to the New Jersey Devils. The Oilers had the game in the palm of their hands but a quick seven second collapse saw the game slip away from them.It will be the Dallas Stars next for Edmonton as they look to get back in the win column. Dallas has had a good start to the season with a record of 7-3-1 and key wins against the Los Angeles Kings, Washington Capitals and the Winnipeg Jets. However, Dallas will be without star goaltender Jake Oettinger who is sidelined with an injury. Like every game, Jay Downton joins the Oilersnation Everyday cast for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show. He will help get you all set up for this afternoon's action along with Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 30You Won't Win Every Night | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 4
The Edmonton Oilers five-win streak came to end last night at Rogers Place. A seven second collapse in the third period saw the team fall 4-3 to the New Jersey Devils. However, it is not all doom and gloom in Oil Country. There were plenty of moments in that game that were positive which they can take into Saturday's matchup versus the Dallas Stars. On Oilersnation Everyday, we'll cover what happened in last night's action and answer some of the questions lingering in people's minds, like how the Oilers should handle rookie forward Dylan Holloway. Like everyFriday, Baggedmilk joins the show for the Bro Down. He will give us his take on the Oilers recent run along with much money. To close out the show, Tyler and Liam Horrobin with some betting talk courtesy of our friends at Betway. S1 Ep 29Going for Six Wins & Smytty's big night | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 3
It is a special night in Oil Country with the first two inductees of the Edmonton Oilers Hall of Fame going in tonight. A ceremony will take place before the puck drop honouring the careers of Ryan Smyth and Lee Fogolin with the Edmonton Oilers. On today's show, we spoke about what the two of them meant to the Oilers during their times here and how deserving they both are of this honour. Additionally, we asked the audience who they would like to see in next year's class and gave our take on who we think could be honoured next.Of course, there is also a game tonight. The Oilers look for their sixth straight win when they host the New Jersey Devils. The Devils have been one of the surprise teams this season with a 7-3-0 record to start the year. They have a lot of talent with Jesper Bratt, Jack Hughes and Dougie Hamilton, who they paid big money for a couple of summers ago, all off to promising starts. Tyler Yaremchuk goes in on what to expect from this Devils team and is also joined by Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 28Leon & The Oilers Hit Five | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 2
The polls are closed and the votes have been counted and we can proudly say that Leon Draisaitl is still the Mayor of Nashville, Tennessee. Last night, Draisaitl put on a clinic in the Edmonton Oilers 7-4 win over the Nashville Predators putting together a five-point night. The Oilers also got big contributions from Connor McDavid, with two goals and two assists, and Evander Kane, who scored his first hat trick of the season. With the win, Edmonton has now extended their win streak to five with the New Jersey Devils coming into town next. One talking point from last night was the play by Jack Campbell. Again, Campbell delivered a subpar performance statistically; however, when you see the goals he allowed there aren't many goaltenders in the NHL that would've made those saves. Is this now a case of Campbell still adjusting to playing in Edmonton or do the Oilers need to play hard in front of him? Like every Wednesday, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joined Oilersnation Everyday and gave us an update on what is going on around the NHL. He spoke about McDavid's race to 50, the Oilers goaltending and also the coaching situations in Toronto and Nashville. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 27The Mayor of Smashville | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Nov 1
Leon Draisaitl has found a way to take to the Nashville Predators every time he goes up against them. The Oilers star has 16 points in his last six games against Nashville, therefore, making him the Mayor of Smashville. In his career, he has 25 points (19 goals, 6 assists) in 20 games and he will look to extend that tally tonight when the Oilers host the Predators at Rogers Place. Edmonton will also look for their fifth win in a row in their return to home ice.On the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton get you all set up for the action on the ice. They discussed the Oilers projected lineup, Jack Campbell starting between the pipes, and the usage of Dylan Holloway.Later in the show, Liam Horrobin joins for the Betway Bets of the Day. After going two for two last night, he gave out two more picks for tonight's Oilers matchup. Tyler and Jay then chimed in with their picks, which included a bet for Mr Foegoal. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 26The Oilers are playing spooky good! | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 31st
Spooky season is upon us but there is nothing scary about the Edmonton Oilers' recent run of performances. After splitting the first six games of the season at home, the Oilers went on the road and beat the St Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks, and Calgary Flames. They are now on a four-game winning streak with back-to-back games coming up at home versus the Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars.Any question mark around the team right now revolved around the goaltending. Jack Campbell has been solid for this team but rookie Stuart Skinner has been excellent for them with a 1.79 goals-against average and a 0.955 save percentage in four games. Skinner may have now forced the hand of the staff to make him the starter moving forward. Also on the show, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin got into the Halloween spirit with a Trick or Treat segment. They went back and forth on which teams/players have been treats to start the year and who has tricked us. Finally, to close out the show, the boys gave out their Betway picks of the day ahead of tonight's NHL action. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 25McDavid Comes Through | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 28th
Last night's game in Chicago was a strange one, but the Edmonton Oilers managed to find a way. Leon Draisaitl fired home the game winner with 48 seconds left to give Edmonton a 6-5 win for their third victory in a row. Zach Hyman, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and a hat trick from Connor McDavid provided the other goals on the night. The biggest talking point from the game was a goal that did not count. Evander Kane's goal in the second period was called back for goaltender interference. The goal was initially called a good goal on the ice but then was overturned by the officials. The moment has led to many conversations in the city today.Like every Friday, Baggedmilk joined Oilersnation Everyday for the Bro Down. He spoke about that moment with Kane, how well Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has played this season and his overall thoughts from last night's game.Tyler Yaremchuk covers all of that and more on today's edition of Oilersnation Everyday. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 24Looking for three in a row! | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 27th
The Edmonton Oilers won a tight game last night, 3-1, against the St Louis Blues. Stuart Skinner led the way for Edmonton in his second start of the season, the third appearance, with 37 saves in the victory. The Oilers got goal contributions from Jesse Puljujarvi (his first of the season), Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Zach Hyman. That was the Oilers first road game of the season, meaning it was their first road win too. They will look for another road victory tonight when they go head-to-head with the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago has had a strong start to the season, which was unexpecting considering the strength of their roster. They are 4-2-0 making tonight's game a more difficult test than first imagined.Tyler Yaremchuk and Jay Downton previewed tonight's game on the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show. They discussed the Oilers lineup, the former Edmonton players in Chicago and also some possible contract extensions. Finally, Liam Horrobin joined the show for the Betway Bets of the Day. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 23Getting set for a big road trip | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 26th
After a six game homestand to begin the season, the Edmonton Oilers get on a plane and head south for a couple of games, before coming back to play Calgary on Saturday. First up is the St Louis Blues, who almost sent Rogers Place to sleep last Saturday. The Blues came away with a 2-0 win that afternoon thanks to a powerplay goal from Torey Krug and an empty netter from Justin Faulk to seal it. The Oilers will look for redemption tonight, but what they do need to do to achieve that goal?Like every game day, Jay Downton joined the show for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show. He laid out his thoughts on the Oilers performance versus the Pittsburgh Penguins, and then into what he wants to see tonight against St Louis.Later in the show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joined us for his insider segment. Tyler Yaremchuk asked him about the possibility of the Chicago Blackhawks trading either Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane to Edmonton. They then dove into other topics around the league like the Vancouver Canucks losing streak and Arizona Coyotes new arena. Edmonton also got great performances from Evander Kane, Evan Bouchard and Jack Campbell, which will all be discussed on today's show.Another player that performed well, like he has all season long, was Brett Kulak. We'll talk to Brownlee about last night's game, the Oilers performances to start the season and other individuals on the team. You can hear all of that and more on Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk. S1 Ep 21McDavid vs Crosby | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 24th
The Edmonton Oilers' offense went dry on Saturday afternoon getting shut out by the St Louis Blues. An early goal from Torey Krug on the powerplay gave the Blues the lead and then Justin Faulk sealed the victory with an empty net goal. That is all of the offense St Louis needed to takedown Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers. Tonight, the Oilers will look to bounce back and get the offense following again when they welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins to town. The Penguins have not lost a game in regulation to start the season and have had 14 different players find the back of the night. Pittsburgh play-by-play voice, Josh Getzoff joined Oilersnation Everyday to fill us in on how the Penguins season has been going. Like every Oilers gameday, Jay Downton joined the cast for the Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game Show and also dropped his Betway bets for tonight's action. S1 Ep 20Looking to make it two in a row! | OilersNation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 22nd
The Edmonton Oilers had a big win on Thursday night beating the Caroline Hurricanes, who were undefeated heading into that game. Edmonton got goals from Zach Hyman, Connor McDavid, Evander Kane, Leon Draisaitl, Ryan McLeod and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, who finished with four points on the night. While they may have allowed four goals against, Jack Campbell was good for the Oilers making countless stops to keep the Canes at bay.Tonight, they will face another Stanley Cup contender in the St Louis Blues. The Blues have only played twice so far this season, but do remain undefeated after wins over the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Seattle Kraken. On this show, Tyler Yaremchuk, Jay Downton and Liam Horrobin preview this afternoon's matchup down at Rogers Place. That's now five points in two games for the former first-overall pick.Like every Friday, Baggedmilk joins Tyler Yaremchuk on the show for the Bro Down. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 18Are the Oilers getting unlucky? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk October 20th
It has been a rocky start to the 2022-23 season for the Edmonton Oilers. With losses to the Calgary Flames and Buffalo Sabres, they now sit one game below 500 three games into the season. They have a chance to get back to level playing ground tonight when they host the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes have had a perfect start to the season with wins over the Columbus Blue Jackets, San Jose Sharks and Seattle Kraken. They have also outscored their opponents 11 to 3. Tonight is a tough match for the Oilers who have struggled to start games allowing the other team to score first in all three games. However, have the Oilers been a little unlucky to start the year? They had some tough breaks against Calgary, the Brett Kulak fall, and then ran into a hot goaltender versus Buffalo in Eric Comrie. Perhaps tonight is the night that misfortune changes.Like every game day, Jay Downton joins the show for the Sherwood Ford Giant Pre Game Show. He will give us his take on what he thought of the team's last performance, what he expects to see tonight and of course some betting talk. S1 Ep 17How do you lose to Buffalo? | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 19
Well, it is safe to say the start to the season hasn't gone as planned for the Edmonton Oilers. They are now sitting with a record of 1-2-0 following last nights loss to the Buffalo Sabres. It wasn't all doom and gloom for Edmonton who out-chanced the Sabres heavily. However, they are struggling to score goals and five on five and giving up too many grade a chances. S1 Ep 16Looking for a bounceback | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Oct 18th
The Edmonton Oilers will be looking for a better result tonight as they continue their home stand versus the Buffalo Sabres. This will be the Sabres' one and only visit to Rogers Place this season and the first time since March 2021. In their last trip to Edmonton, the Oilers scored six and Mike Smith was strong between the pipes allowing one goal on 26 shots. Buffalo has started the season well with a 4-1 win over the Ottawa Senators and then losing by one versus Florida. Both teams are well rested after last playing on Saturday night.Heading into this matchup, what is one thing you want to see from the Oilers tonight, besides victory? S1 Ep 11Why the Oilers lost the Battle of Alberta - Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk October 17th
Saturday night did not go as planned for the Edmonton Oilers. After 12 minutes, they found themselves down 4-1 and their new goaltender was sat on the bench after a disappointing performance. The good news is that Stuart Skinner looked solid in relief and the Oilers found a way to make it a game. The other bad news is that the Oilers were down by three goals for the second game in a row. This leaves Oilers fans asking plenty of questions. Is Jack Campbell truly the answer between the pipes? Is this blueline good enough to win a Stanley Cup? Should Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid always be the go-to answer?Making his first appearance on Oilersnation Everyday was Cooomzy. He joined Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin to answer all of those questions. To close out the show, Tyler and Liam recapped their weekend of betting in both the NHL and NFL. Then finally, they gave out some picks for tonight’s NHL action. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

S1 Ep 9Lets Not Overreact - OilersNation Everyday October 14th
The first edition of the Battle of Alberta is one sleep away for Edmonton Oilers fans. Unfortunately, it’ll be the only matchup between the two provincial rivals at Rogers Place this season. Both Edmonton and Calgary are off to winning starts with two come-from-behind victories. Also on the show, we’ll go over early-season overreactions. Will the Arizona Coyotes go 0-82? Or will the Edmonton Oilers go 82-0? However, the biggest overreaction was Evander Kane’s pass on the empty net to Connor McDavid. We also covered trade targets for Ken Holland on the blue line and looked at who might be available to fill the need. Could John Klingberg be a target if they can figure out the contract? Or do they look for a cheaper option in Nick Holden or Scott Mayfield?Joining the show later ahead of the matchup is OilersNation Baggedmilk for the Bro Down. Finally, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will give picks for tonight’s NHL action along with some football picks.Viewers can catch Tyler Yaremchuk on Oilersnation Everyday at noon mountain on The Nation Network YouTube page. S1 Ep 8Can Connor McDavid Score 50? - OilersNation Everyday October 13th
To nobody's surprise, Connor McDavid did it again last night. The Edmonton Oilers captain led the way for his team, who found themselves down 3-0 early in the second, with the 11th hat trick of his career. It was the night before the regular season and all was well in Oil Country. Expectations are high after a tremendous 2021-22 campaign, which saw the Edmonton Oilers make it to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2006. While it did not go as planned getting swept four games to zero by the Colorado Avalanche, it set up what looks to be a promising future. The Vancouver Canucks are the Oilers first opponents, a team they faced twice in the preseason. Over the weekend, Ken Holland and Jay Woodcroft made their final roster decisions with the most intriguing being the decision to send Philip Broberg down and keep Markus Niemelainen. What is his future look like with the organization? The Oilers also made a trade that saw Dmitri Samourkov move to the St Louis Blues for former first round pick Klim Kostin. Unfortunately, Edmonton came out on the wrong side of that game but Connor McDavid still managed to wow us all once again. Of course, McDavid's spot on this roster is firmly secured; however, there are still a few players hoping that crack the NHL squad this season. There are question marks at the bottom of the blue line and also in the Oilers top six. Who will take those spots?Brock Seguin from DailyFaceoff.com joins the show today to talk everything fantasy hockey. He'll tell us his favourite sleeper picks for the year, who to stay away from and much more.
